Palestinian-American journalist Rami Khouri outlines the Israeli far-right's longstanding opposition to Palestinian self-determination and, as he says, the very right of Palestinians to exist. Khouri discusses how Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government, together with President Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken, have shredded international law at every opportunity in their genocidal slaughter and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in Gaza. Yet despite Trump's success in pressuring Netanyahu to agree to a ceasefire deal, the agreement itself is on thin ice: Israel's resumption of strikes in Gaza could lead to an unraveling of phase two negotiations, precluding the possibility of a permanent ceasefire and ultimately of any effective Palestinian governance and statehood.

When sharing our own testimonies and stories about our faith in Christ with Muslims, it is essential to know some basic differences between Christianity and Islam. What do Muslims believe about the Trinity? What is the true nature of God? What are the fundamental differences between the God of the Bible and Allah of the Qur'an? This week we continue our discussion with Dr. Sherene Khouri, author and assistant professor of Arabic at Liberty University of Virginia, about her new book, Triune Rationality - A Trinitarian Response to Islamic Monotheism. Dr. Khouri provides us with helpful historical insights and key theological concepts that will both enrich and better inform our apologetic conversations with our Muslim friends and neighbors.Sherene Nicholas Khouri (PhD, Liberty University) is assistant professor of Arabic at Liberty University and also teaches courses on theology, apologetics, Arabic Christianity, and Islam in the John W. Rawlings School of Divinity. The Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is perhaps one of the most difficult and challenging doctrines of the Christian faith. Perhaps it is nowhere more challenging to explain than in dialogue with Muslims, who believe that Christianity is blasphemously polytheistic, teaching that there are literally three distinct Gods. Our guest this week and next on the Profile, Dr. Sherene Khouri assistant professor of Arabic at Liberty University of Virginia joins to discuss her new book, Triune Rationality - A Trinitarian Response to Islamic Monotheism. Dr. Khouri provides a comprehensive historical look back to three lesser-known Christian apologists who lived during the time of the Golden Age of Islam and wrote apologetic defenses of the Trinity in Arabic to their Islamic contemporaries. Dr. Khouri's insights and research are immensely helpful for anyone in dialogue with Muslims today.Sherene Nicholas Khouri (PhD, Liberty University) is assistant professor of Arabic at Liberty University and also teaches courses on theology, apologetics, Arabic Christianity, and Islam in the John W. Read the READUS-PV guidelines, why they were created, and why they are important. In 2021, Khouri and colleagues showed that current methods and models used for disproportionality analyses are unreliable, and Mouffak and colleagues found that there is a tendency to overstate results in published disproportionality analyses. A book on data mining techniques in Pharmacovigilance by Poluzzi and colleagues delves deeper into this exponential increase in disproportionality analyses. This paper elaborates on the Delphi technique, and how it is used to gather data from reviewers to achieve scientific consensus on a problem. The Outdoors Fix is a podcast to inspire you to make the outdoors a bigger part of your life. It's hosted by Liv Bolton. Carla Khouri is a qualified mountain leader who's also the course director for Black Girls Hike, a Duke of Edinburgh assessor, paddlesports leader and Merrell Hiking Club organiser. But she lives in London and she used to be a science teacher! Carla is also one of only two black female mountain leaders in the UK and she's on course with her training to be the only black female winter mountain leader. Carla took me to a beautiful park just minutes from her home in London, and we recorded the episode sitting on the grass within sight of a herd of fallow deer. Someone who's unafraid of following her heart, Carla's story left me feeling inspired about having courage to follow your dreams at any age, and the impact of contributing to the outdoors community. Carla shares her tips for lesser-known spots to explore around the UK at the end of the episode, as well as how to start out and secure work if you're interested in becoming a mountain leader, so make sure you don't miss her advice. There's also a minute of the sounds of nature for a little bit of escapism in your busy day. Carla's episode of The Outdoors Fix is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever else you get your podcasts. It's also embedded below. I hope you enjoy it! The term "Girl Boss" was intended as a term of empowerment, and certainly at its inception, many women felt emboldened by it. However as the movement grew, and became more mainstream, the feminist ethos of it seem to have faded away, leaving the focus on individual wealth and success. My guest, Jess Khouri, examines the phenomenon of the Girl Boss and discusses how we can create a feminist business that truly makes a real impact and creates social change. The pace of grace, that's the key theme in today's episode of Unhurried Living Podcast. One of my mentors was fond of saying that just as truly as we are saved by grace, so we live by grace, serve by grace and lead by grace. Grace is not merely a doorway through which I enter into the life of the kingdom. Grace is the pathway on which I walk every step of my life. Grace is not some kingdom commodity that God guarantees me. It is his very way of interacting with us with generous, joyful love. God invites us to make ourselves as home in his gracious presence. It's is in God's nature to long to be gracious to us. Today I'm talking with Ed Khouri, author of Becoming a Face of Grace. We're talking about how it works to experience the grace of God and then to live graciously and interact with others graciously. For more than 40 years, Ed has worked with substance abusers and their families in diverse settings. Serving as a pastoral counselor, trainer, and writer, Ed's work has encompassed outpatient counseling, jails, transitional housing for homeless addicts in all phases of residential treatment. He even provided daily supervision for all therapeutic services and staff in a 96-bed state-licensed substance abuse treatment program. Ed is an ordained minister and president of Equipping Hearts.
