What if happiness wasn't something you chased… but something you could actually engineer? In this powerful and deeply moving episode, I sit down with Thayne Martin—executive, entrepreneur, motivational speaker, podcast host, and founder of It's Pure Love—to explore his groundbreaking framework: The Equation of Life and Abundant Happiness (ELAH™).Thayne's story is one of profound transformation. After enduring severe childhood abuse, he struggled with depression, PTSD, dissociative identity disorder, and ADHD. His pain became so overwhelming that he attempted suicide multiple times. But everything changed after a near-death experience—when a reaction to medication caused him to drown in his own swimming pool. What happened next shifted everything. When Thayne regained consciousness, he describes experiencing a level of clarity, gratitude, and unconditional love unlike anything he had ever known. That moment became the catalyst for a new way of understanding the mind, emotions, and human behavior—and ultimately led to the creation of ELAH™ and eX eM NeuroConditioning™.In this episode, we explore how these tools can help you break free from limiting patterns and intentionally create a life filled with connection, purpose, and joy.In this episode, we discuss:Thayne's powerful journey from trauma and despair to healing and purposeHow a near-death experience transformed his mind, heart, and lifeThe Equation of Life and Abundant Happiness (ELAH™) and how it worksUsing simple “math-like” operations—Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, and Gratitude—to guide your lifeHow your brain is wired to reinforce whatever you repeatedly think and feelThe role of neuroplasticity in reshaping thoughts, emotions, and behaviorsWhat eX eM NeuroConditioning™ is and how it accelerates transformationHow emotional experiences influence brain chemistry and behaviorThe importance of awareness, connection, and gratitude in healingWhy real, lasting change comes from experience—not just informationWhat is ELAH™?The Equation of Life and Abundant Happiness (ELAH™) is a simple yet powerful framework that helps you organize your thoughts, emotions, and relationships using five symbolic operations:Addition – What do you want more of in your life?Subtraction – What do you need to release or let go of?Multiplication – What can you amplify and grow?Division – What can you share with others?Gratitude (=) – The equal sign that brings everything into alignmentThis elegant system makes personal growth practical, memorable, and easy to apply in everyday life.A Powerful ReminderHealing doesn't have to be complicated.Sometimes, the most profound transformations come from the simplest shifts—what you focus on, what you feel, and what you choose to reinforce.Learn More About ThayneTo learn more about Thayne Martin and his work, visit:

In this episode, Host Rob Spee sits down with survivor and holistic healer Deanna Scaldaferri, whose twenty‑year relationship with a narcissist nearly cost her her voice, her safety, and her sense of self. Deanna opens the door on what these relationships really look like — the early love bombing, the charm that fools everyone else, the private chaos, and the slow erosion of identity that keeps victims trapped. She breaks down the patterns that made her vulnerable, the fear and trauma bonding that kept her in place, and the physical toll of living in constant threat. What follows is a conversation about truth, courage, the breaking point and the long road back to the light. Deanna shares the faith that saved her and the tools that rebuilt her life — therapy, meditation, brain rewiring, and return to God after profound trauma. Today she's using her story to help others name what's happening, break the cycle, and reclaim their God‑given light. You can find Deanna at https://www.healinghandsbydeanna.com/ Key Takeaways Name the cycle so you stop doubting yourself. Love bombing, mask‑slipping, gaslighting, inconsistencies, control — once you understand the pattern, your intuition comes back online. People‑pleasing is not peacekeeping. The "keep the peace" reflex is often the doorway to losing your voice. Reclaiming boundaries is the first step toward reclaiming identity. Charm in public doesn't erase abuse in private. Narcissists curate a persona. Survivors need outside support — therapy, trusted friends, and professionals who understand the dynamic. Your body tells the truth before your mind can. Panic attacks, chest tightness, hypervigilance — these aren't overreactions. They're signals that your system is overwhelmed and unsafe. Healing requires all of you — mind, body, and spirit. Faith, breathwork, movement, somatic therapy, massage, reiki, and intentional "rewiring" help break trauma loops and rebuild confidence. Leaning into God is a turning point, not a last resort. Deanna's story shows how faith can anchor you, and even save you, when grief, loss, and trauma collide. You can leave the victim mindset behind. Healing isn't about pretending it didn't happen — it's about choosing who you become next. Do you have a habit like smoking or late night snacking that you want to kick, but no matter what you try, you just can't seem to quit? The answer isn't weakness, and it isn't a lack of motivation. It lives in the 88% of your brain you're not consciously controlling, and therapeutic hypnosis (hypnotherapy) may be one of the most underestimated tools available to change it.On Salad with a Side of Fries, host Jenn Trepeck and guest Rita Black, a leading clinical hypnotherapist and author, pull back the curtain on hypnosis and hypnotherapy for weight loss, smoking cessation, and breaking stubborn subconscious patterns. If you've ever asked yourself why you can't stop doing something you genuinely don't want to do, this conversation was made for you. What You Will Learn in This Episode:✅ How hypnotherapy works by relaxing the critical filter between your conscious and subconscious mind, making it easier to adopt new habits and beliefs rather than fighting against deeply embedded patterns.✅ Why willpower represents only 12% of your mental power, and how your subconscious patterns from night eating to emotional eating are running the show, whether you realize it or not.✅ How adopting an apprentice mindset and shifting your identity from "dieter" to "learner" can reduce shame, break the start-over-Monday cycle, and create sustainable behavioral change.✅ Three practical self-hypnosis techniques you can use today: the identity shift, the Movie Theater mental practice method, and aversion therapy tools that interrupt dopamine-driven cravings before they take hold. The Salad With a Side of Fries podcast, hosted by Jenn Trepeck, explores real-life wellness and weight-loss topics, debunking myths, misinformation, and flawed science surrounding nutrition and the food industry. Healing isn't about suppressing symptoms. It's about rewiring the mind.In this powerful episode of Mindset Mastery Moments, Dr. Alisa Whyte sits down with cognitive psychologist Dr. Sharon Niv to explore the science behind neuroplasticity, trauma, and emerging mental health treatments. They break down what's really happening in the brain when we experience anxiety, depression, and trauma — and why traditional therapy alone may not be enough for lasting transformation.Dr. Niv shares how low-dose ketamine therapy works as a neuroplastic agent, helping individuals safely access and process deeply rooted emotional patterns while creating new neural pathways. This conversation also dives into: The difference between neuroplasticity and neurodivergence Why limiting beliefs are biologically reinforced How trauma (big T and little T) shapes the brain The role of the default mode network in anxiety and rumination Why healing requires more than positive thinking If you've ever felt stuck in patterns you can't break — this episode will challenge how you think about healing, mindset, and what's truly possible.Connect with Dr. Sharon Niv:• YouTube: Joyous Team• Instagram: @joyous.team• LinkedIn: Sharon Niv• Facebook: Joyous TeamFree Resources & Training:• Therapist Collaboration Program: Join the Joyous Community• Free Certificate Training (11.5 CEs): Microdose Ketamine Training for Therapists
Picking health over alcohol—what if that choice could feel less like deprivation and more like relief? Monica grew up in a culture where drinking wasn't just normal, it was identity: being the fun one, staying late, shining at happy hour, making alcohol the “reward” for workdays, celebrations, stress, and everything in between. Even when the downsides started showing up (worse anxiety, feeling run-down, the exhausting mental math of “when's my next drink?”), not drinking didn't feel like a real option—just something you powered through until you “earned” going back. After reading This Naked Mind, Monica finally had language for what she'd been living: cognitive dissonance. She could see alcohol clearly…and still want it. She tried breaks, challenges, and milestones, but it kept feeling like white-knuckling. Then she joined The Path and something shifted. Instead of forcing a forever decision, she learned how to pause, observe, and stack up real-life evidence—what actually happened when she didn't drink at a birthday, during the holidays, in hard relationship moments. In this episode, Coach Cole and Monica talk about how rewiring happens one data point at a time—and how choosing self-compassion over self-judgment helped alcohol become small and insignificant. Monica also shares a powerful realization from pregnancy, and a moment of fear that made her see just how badly she wanted freedom. Coach Cole and Monica discuss: Growing up with alcohol as identity: “life of the party” and the go-to reward Why “just drink less” kept feeling impossible (even with motivation) How The Path helped Monica start observing instead of battling herself Stacking evidence: first alcohol-free “firsts” that built confidence Anxiety dropping when alcohol left the equation—and what surprised her mostPregnancy, “it's not an option,” and what that revealed about her true preferences A health scare thought that exposed the depth of the pattern—and the breakthrough it sparkedPicking health over alcohol through curiosity, compassion, and real-life proof And more topics… Episode links: nakedmindpath.com Related Episodes: I see no benefit to alcohol, why can't I just quit? – Reader Question – E60 – https://thisnakedmind.com/ep-60-reader-question-see-no-benefit-alcohol-cant-just-quit/ Why Do I Drink When I Know It's Bad For Me? - Reader Question - E660 - https://thisnakedmind.com/ep-660-readers-question-why-do-i-drink-when-i-know-its-bad-for-me/ Learning to Trust Yourself Again – Alcohol Freedom Coaching – E746 – https://thisnakedmind.com/learning-to-trust-yourself-again-alcohol-freedom-coaching-e746/ Ready to take the next step on your journey? Do you feel like you've tried every diet and workout plan, but lasting health still seems elusive? What if menopause isn't a breakdown, but a house renovation you're living inside? In this episode, I reframe menopause in a way I wish someone had offered me. Not as decline. Not as loss. Not as something to “push through.”But as a neurological remodel happening in real time, while I'm still expected to function, work, parent, decide what cheese to buy, and hold everything together. No wonder it feels chaotic. What I share in this episode:Why menopause is not just hormonal, but deeply neurologicalHow fluctuating estrogen affects mood, memory, focus, and emotional regulationWhy brain fog, emotional sensitivity, and slower thinking are not failures, but signs of reorganizationWhat's really happening when my tolerance for noise, pressure, people-pleasing, and nonsense disappearsHow the amygdala shifts and threat sensitivity gradually dials downWhy decisions feel slower, more embodied, and less driven by urgencyHow identity itself begins to shift during menopause, not collapseThe grief, the disorientation, and the unexpected clarity that emerges on the other sideWhy post-menopause often brings deeper contentment, discernment, and grounded leadershipIf you're like me and feeling:Less sharp but more sensitiveSlower but more discerningLess tolerant of bullshitLess available for emotional labourMore interested in depth than surface-level busynessNothing has gone wrong.Something is reorganizing with intent.Join me!******************‘Becoming' is the new membership I've created for this phaseBecoming is a space for women in this in-between phase where old identities no longer fit, and new ones haven't fully arrived yet.The waitlist is now open.
If going home for the holidays leaves you anxious, exhausted, or feeling like you're twelve years old again, this is not emotional weakness. This is your nervous system. When you're around your family of origin, the oldest wiring in your brain comes back online. These patterns were built before you had adult self-regulation. Your limbic system reacts fast, old roles resurface, and your regulated adult self can get pushed offline without you realizing it.What you're experiencing is neurological conditioning, not failure. And this season is an opportunity to do something different. You can interrupt the hijack, respond instead of react, and stay grounded even when everyone around you is not.Family of Origin Dysfunction: Why Going Home Dysregulates Your Brain

What if the confusion around fasting and hormones isn't because the science is complicated, but because most people are using the wrong tools for the wrong goals? In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Mindy Pelz to get clear about what fasting actually does, when it helps, and when it backfires. This is a conversation about taking ownership of your metabolism instead of chasing trends that don't match your life. We talk about the viral moment from her Stephen Bartlett interview, how misinformation spreads, and what she learned from being at the center of it. Mindy breaks down her six core fasts, why women need a different strategy, and how to adjust your approach if you train hard. We get into cycle-based fasting, fertility, menopause, HRT, toxic load, peptides, creatine, apple cider vinegar, and the rise of GLP-1 drugs. If you've ever wondered how to use fasting without wrecking your energy or performance, this episode will give you a clearer path forward. Dr. Mindy Pelz is a bestselling author, educator, and functional health expert known as the fasting guru. Her books Fast Like a Girl and Age Like a Girl have helped millions of women rethink metabolic health, hormones, and aging, and she has led hundreds of thousands of people through community fasts that focus on real-world results, not quick fixes. Summary Are your symptoms really coming from a “broken body”—or are they actually a brain habit? In this episode, Ali breaks down the science of neuroplastic symptoms (sometimes called TMS or mind-body symptoms) and explains why real, physical sensations like pain, fatigue, gut issues, and dizziness can persist even without structural damage. You'll learn how the brain's danger pathways work, why symptoms become a habit, and how fear and avoidance keep the cycle alive. Drawing on Alan Gordon's “false alarm” framework, Ali shares simple, practical ways to rewire your brain's response—so symptoms lose their power and your nervous system learns safety again. If you've been stuck in the endless cycle of symptoms, worry, and searching for answers, this episode will give you clarity, hope, and a roadmap for healing. Takeaways Neuroplastic symptoms are real—but they're created by the brain's danger pathways, not by structural damage. Fear and attention fuel the cycle: every time you monitor or worry, the brain reinforces the symptom as “important.” Symptoms become a habit loop—just like a song stuck in your head, the brain gets good at producing them through repetition. Alan Gordon's false alarm analogy helps explain why symptoms are real but not dangerous—the alarm is sounding, but there's no fire. Healing is possible: by reducing fear, processing emotions, and re-engaging in life, you can rewire your brain and teach it safety. Six root causes fuel this cycle, including toxic thought loops, gaslighting, family dynamics, and the fear of silence. Personal stories reveal how rambling dilutes authority and leadership, even when the intention is good. The brain's wiring for safety and early childhood patterns show why this habit is so hard to break, but there are two practical strategies that offer a way forward to stop the spiral, retrain the brain, and speak with clarity and confidence. You'll Learn:How to recognize the signs that you're overexplainingWhy the brain wires this habit as a safety mechanismThe six root causes that drive overexplaining (you might have more than one)How toxic thought patterns set the stage for ramblingWhat happens when gaslighting or narcissistic dynamics distort your truthWhy overexplaining can become a barrier when you haven't felt heardThe peacekeeper role and how blame can fuel overexplainingWhy being chatty often fills the silence and masks discomfortTwo ways to start overcoming the verbal vomit cycle todayTimestamps:[00:00] Introduction[06:02] How the brain wires overexplaining as a safety response[07:12] Toxic thought patterns as the first root cause[08:04] Being gaslit or living with a narcissist[10:57] Overexplaining as a barrier when you haven't been heard[12:34] Justification to prove worthiness or avoid judgment[14:05] The peacekeeper role and carrying blame[16:00] How chatty space-filling masks anxiety or discomfort[21:27] Neurodivergence and traumatic brain injury as factors[22:58] Two practical ways to disrupt and rewire the overexplaining cycleResources Mentioned:How Your Birthdate Can Reveal Patterns of Challenges and Transformation with Michelle Dowker | Spotify or AppleFind More From Dr. Stephanie Davis:Dr. Stephanie Davis | WebsiteQuantum Rx | InstagramQuantum Rx | Skool
What if the biggest thing blocking your success is the 5-inch gap between your ears?I had one of those conversations that leaves you staring at the wall afterward. Brain rewiring expert Mindi Huebner accidentally started rewiring my relationship with rest and productivity during what was supposed to be a casual catch-up call. She told me about a client who wanted seven figures but could only work 25 hours a week. One 15-minute session later, that limiting belief vanished and she hit a million dollars in three months.Mindi reveals why mindset and identity are completely different, her 24-karat identity framework, and how to spot when you're stuck in an identity box. You'll discover why rest breeds creativity, simple language swaps that rewire your brain, and how to replace "should have" thinking with future-focused language. If success feels heavy or you're working harder than you should for results, this conversation will shift what you see as possible. In this episode, you'll learn:[2:08] The email that changed everything - Mindi's "rest is lazy" identity breakthrough[8:19] Why mindset and identity are different but connected[14:47] The 15-minute session that unlocked $1M in 3 months[25:16] How to identify when you're stuck in identity boxes[31:26] The 24-karat identity framework explained[39:10] Casting votes toward your future self through micro actions[43:21] Language pattern rewiring: swapping "but" for "and" and "should have" for "from now on"Here are the resources mentioned in the show:Follow @mindihuebner on InstagramMindi Huebner's CEO Identity Quiz (DM Mindi "QUIZ" on Instagram)Mindi's WebsiteFree Reinvention Breakthrough CallThe Art of Reinvention - my mastermind program for high-achieving womenAre you enjoying the podcast? Distinguished psychologist and neuroscientist Dr. Kate Truitt takes her expert hat off and lets her hair down in today's candid conversation with Sarah. The bestselling author of Healing in Your Hands and the new title Keep Beathing lays bare her personal odyssey through loss and trauma as well as the key to her renewal- the realization that she wasn't the problem; her brain was. Wired from years of trauma to keep her ‘safe', “Amy the Amygdala” was actually keeping her caught in a cycle of negative, intrusive thoughts. Listen to Sarah and Dr. Kate talk about the tenacity of that cycle and how to break it. Two phoenixes in their own right, Sarah and Dr Kate get raw and real, inviting all cycle breakers to join their odyssey (Thanks to Dr. Kate, we now know that a group of phoenixes is called an odyssey!).
