Wellness + Wisdom | Episode 746 Are you ready to reconfigure your past and reimagine humanity's future through the power of outrageous love? Visionary Philosopher Marc Gafni joins Josh Trent on the Wellness + Wisdom Podcast, episode 746, to guide you from mythic narratives of soul mates to the co-creative vision of whole mates: evolutionary partners in service of the cosmos. Learn how the gift of suffering becomes the pathway to transcendence, why raising children is a spiritual act of embodiment, and how solving humanity's value crisis can spark a galactic awakening. "Soulmate relationships don't work. They're insufficient. If a couple is not looking at a shared horizon and they are only looking deeply in each other's eyes, it will not work. Whole mates are not just looking deeply in each other's eyes. They're first looking at a shared horizon, a shared mission. They're looking at the whole. They're in a relationship to the whole. And then from there, they turn back and look at each other." - Marc Gafni In This Episode, Marc Gafni Uncovers: [01:20] Outrageous Love Marc Gafni Why 'I love you' is our sacred creed. How facing death puts us in our visceral truth. Why we've lost connection to the meaning of 'I love you.' The difference between ordinary love and outrageous love. How love allows us to give our unique gifts. When we're in love, we feel welcome in the cosmos. Why reality is not a fact but an outrageous love story. How reality is generated. [09:50] What Is Evolution? Whole Mate by Marc Gafni The three levels of knowing. How we get lost in the complexity, which blocks us from seeing the depth. Every place we've been, we needed to be. Why every detour is part of the destination. How reality has mathematical, musical, molecular, metabolic, moral, and mystical values. Why reality is movement towards transformation. Evolution is love in action in response to need. How becoming what reality intended us to be, divinity experiences self-recognition through us. If we don't have the experience that we matter, our mind, heart, and body break down. [20:20] The Three Faces of God Why the God we don't believe in doesn't exist. The importance of the word 'God.' Why outrageous love is not a response to another person but the love that moves through us. The three faces of God: first, second, and third person. Neil deGrasse Tyson How religions show the faces of God. [29:50] New World Why we're in a time between worlds. How 40% of AI researchers believe that AI could destroy all humanity. 692 Paul Chek | Spirit Gym: How To Find The Truth of Your Soul + Live Your Dream How we can create a new story of values for the world. [35:45] Divine Loneliness Why God is lonely. How we need separation to create intimacy. What it means to be lonely. How Marc's son made him see the human singularity. The importance of knowing our soul print. How we cover up our emptiness by getting our attention hijacked. Why we need to sit in loneliness in order to fill up with our soul print. The divine is being, spaciousness, and becoming. Why evolution is a love story of the universe. How wholeness comes from brokenness. [47:25] Pseudo-Eros + Shame Why pornography is pseudo-Eros. How pornography is explicit sexuality taken out of the context of a story. Why our relationship to essence is always sensual. How our shame tells a story that we're wrong. Why a great saint makes new mistakes. The meaning of the word 'hallelujah.' [56:10] From Soul Mate to Whole Mate Why soulmate relationships don't work. Evolution of Love from Quarks to Culture by Marc Gafni, Zak Stein + Elena Levin Why reality is evolution, relationships, and the evolution of relationships. How crisis drives evolution, and the movement is an evolution of relationships. The evolution from role mate to soul mate to whole mate. The Boy Crisis by Warren Farrell + John Gray How each one of us has a role within a relationship in order to survive and thrive. Love Story (1970) [01:11:50] How Movies Tell The Story of Reality How the Matrix movie displays a whole mate relationship. The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman Why Mars and Venus Collide by John Gray Getting The Love You Want by Harville Hendrix How love replaced our values. Why sexuality is not personal but universal. The importance of having a shared vision as a couple. Social Physics by Alex Pentland Why most children don't believe in love anymore. Sapiens by Harari Yuval Noah [01:30:35] Raising Children As Whole Mates 744 Debra Silverman | Your Pain Has a Pattern… and Astrology Reveals It All (This Isn't Random) What embodiment feels like. Why raising children is more than a role mate part. How we can serve the larger whole. Phenomenology of Eros by Jonna Bornemark + Marcia Sa Cavalcante Schuback The reason why most relationships don't work. Why monogamy is a practice. How our desire to become more intimate comes from God. [01:48:55] The Purpose of Evolution Why the purpose of evolution is the evolution of love. How the evolution of love is the evolution of God. Why whole mates are evolutionary partners. An atom is a new value of intimacy. How we move from matter to life. Why power gives us pleasure and dignity. How we can impact the whole world. Why we're never powerless. Enlightenment means to know the nature of reality. [01:58:55] Reconfigure Your Past What creates a capacity to transform. How we can get beneath time. Why we can undo our mistakes. How transforming our will transforms our deeds. [02:07:10] New Humanity + Existential Risks How we can practice love in the moments of pain. Why the universe feels love. How outrageous lovers commit outrageous acts of love. Why war is not inevitable. We can create a new human and a new humanity. How the cosmos is moving towards more goodness. What existential risks we're facing as humanity. Reimagining Humanity's Identity: Responding to the Second Shock of Existence by Marc Gafni + Zachary Stein Why evolution doesn't stop. [02:17:05] Solving Value How the process of getting deeper is our joy. First Principles and First Values by David J. Temple Why there are different qualities of love. How the new age community doesn't do the deep work. Why we need to solve the value to create a change in the world. [02:25:30] What Is Value? How the source code is corrupted because the story of value has gotten lost. Why we need to go to the source code to clarify our values. What makes us question ourselves. How reality desires to evolve the source code. Why we're on the edge of a galactic moment. Avatar (2009) Leave Wellness + Wisdom a Review on Apple Podcasts

A live online course with Dr. Marc GafniCourse begins: June 8Format: Live teachings + interactive Q&AHost: Parallax (online)More info: https://parallax-media.com/courses/unique-self-2-portal-3This course explores the evolutionary arc of human intimacy through three foundational forms of relationship: Role Mate, Soul Mate, and Whole Mate. Beginning with the ontology of relationship itself, we investigate how roles shape our identities and interactions, not just with others, but with life, the cosmos, and the divine. The Role Mate is often dismissed or undervalued, yet it forms the crucial infrastructure of relational life. Week one sets the ground for understanding this layer of connection, where self and society meet through structure, function, and context.
Today's episode begins with a garden update before Rachel dives into another segment of Ask Rachel, where she answers three beautiful questions from listeners. The first question is about negativity. How can we deal with negative people? How do we know the difference between toxicity and constructive feedback? And how can we make sure we are not constantly brought down by this energy in our lives? The second question asks about intuition, and specifically intuition throughout motherhood. Rachel shares her point of view - that intuition is a muscle that you constantly need to flex. She shares how you can practice this and why it's so important to be able to look inward before you bounce everything off the outside world. The final question is about soulmates. Are they real? Should we move through life looking for our missing piece? What if we lose them or can't find them? Tune in for an insightful episode that feels like going for a coffee with friends. Guest Introduction Today, we are honored to welcome Dr. Warren Farrell, a renowned Ph.D., internationally bestselling author, and one of the world's top 100 thought leaders (as recognized by the Financial Times). His work has shaped both the women's and men's movements, and his latest book, Role Mate to Soul Mate, dives deep into the science and art of sustaining intimate relationships. Having been married for over 30 years, Dr. Farrell doesn't just teach relationship transformation—he lives it. In this episode, we're breaking down the critical shifts needed to move from just “coexisting” in relationships to truly thriving. If you've ever felt unheard, misunderstood, or stuck in recurring patterns with your partner, this conversation will change the way you approach love, communication, and intimacy. Three Powerful Takeaways ✅ Criticism is a Relationship Killer—But You Can Change Your Response ✅ Boundaries and Emotional Safety Are the Foundations of Lasting Love ✅ Understanding Your Partner's Emotional Needs Creates a Conflict-Free Zone Key Discussion Topics 1️The Hidden Traps of Criticism and How to Overcome Them (⏱ 17:4 "If you respond to criticism by being defensive, that means you are human. That was functional for survival, but it's dysfunctional for love." – Dr. Warren Farrell Criticism often triggers a fight-or-flight response, making even minor comments feel like personal attacks. Shifting the mindset from defensiveness to curiosity transforms relationships. Instead of reacting, creating a safe space for dialogue allows for deeper trust and connection. Learning to listen without taking things personally fosters emotional intimacy rather than eroding it. 2️The Power of Boundaries in Love and Parenting (⏱ 05:0 "Boys that are dad-deprived often lack postponed gratification, which is the single biggest predictor of success or failure." – Dr. Warren Farrell Boundaries aren't about control; they are about creating safety and stability—whether in parenting, personal relationships, or partnerships. Clear and consistent boundaries help people feel respected and seen. Without them, relationships can spiral into resentment or chaos. When structure and accountability are present, it leads to a greater sense of self-worth, stronger partnerships, and deeper emotional security. 3️Creating a Conflict-Free Zone in Relationships (⏱ 31:2 "If your partner criticizes you, you can either argue back—where there's a 100% chance you won't be heard—or bring it up during structured time, where there's a 100% chance you will." – Dr. Warren Farrell Most couples struggle with navigating conflict effectively, but structured communication—like weekly “caring and sharing” sessions—creates space for listening, appreciation, and deeper understanding. Shifting from reactive to intentional conversations reduces unnecessary tension and builds a foundation of trust, vulnerability, and long-term love. Final Thought If you've ever felt frustrated by miscommunication in your relationships or wondered how to create deeper intimacy and understanding, this episode will be a game-changer. Dr. Farrell's insights provide actionable strategies to transform your love life and build a partnership that feels safe, fulfilling, and truly connected. Grab his latest book, Role Mate to Soul Mate, and start your journey toward a stronger, more fulfilling relationship today! Listen now and share this episode with someone who needs it!
Is marriage still relevant in today's culture? In this illuminating conversation, Rebekah and Gabe Lyons welcome sociologist Dr. Brad Wilcox, author of "Get Married: Why Americans Must Defy the Elites, Forge Strong Families, and Save Civilization." Dr. Wilcox presents compelling research that challenges the prevailing cultural narrative that marriage hinders personal fulfillment and success.Drawing from his research as director of the National Marriage Project at the University of Virginia, Dr. Wilcox shares how marriage significantly impacts not just individual happiness but society as a whole. He explains how the shift toward "expressive individualism" since the 1970s has undermined marriage, and dispels common myths about marriage including the "flying solo myth," the "family diversity myth," and the "soulmate myth." The data is clear: contrary to popular belief, married people report greater happiness, experience better financial outcomes, and contribute to stronger communities.Rebekah and Dr. Wilcox also discuss the challenges women face in "having it all" and the importance of recognizing different seasons of life. For young adults contemplating marriage, Dr. Wilcox offers practical advice about finding someone with shared values, faith, and dreams—emphasizing that couples who build a foundation of friendship before marriage tend to experience more stable and fulfilling relationships. Whether you're married, single, or parenting young adults, this episode offers valuable insights about why the institution of marriage remains crucial for personal happiness and societal flourishing.Order The Fight for Us:https://a.co/d/aJehu4fJoin the Marriage May Challenge:https://www.rebekahlyons.com/marriagemayRegister for the Marriage & Parenting Retreat:November 20-21, 2025 at: https://www.rebekahlyons.com/retreatParticipate in the THINQ resource, Let's Talk Relationships: https://events.thinqmedia.com/relationships

Oh my God this man is my hero. I'm still stunned by his extraordinary depth, insights, wisdom, generosity and tearful smiling love for his wife. What a privilege and blessing to dive deep into what it truly takes to go beyond defensiveness and create conversations that deepen love when consistent criticism can often lead to divorce. And this still pinching myself conversation, which I would be happy to have for an entire weekend long, we also discussed... -The healing power of 'sharing and caring' sessions to shift people from surviving to thriving and support them in creating a 'conflict free zone' relationship -How when you know you're going to have a 'sharing and caring' conversation, how anger, violence, yelling and sarcasm diminish because you know you're going to be heard -How it's biologically unnatural to receive criticism without defensiveness yet openness and connection can be learned and more importantly practiced to turn almost any relationship around -How underneath anger is vulnerability and how overtime through practice responding with compassion and focusing on appreciation, you can learn to hear behind the cranky words to the heart's unmet needs behind it -I shared how I still haven't been able to get through listening to the Boy Crisis Book because it triggers so much about my own personal situation. Warren invited a follow-up call about this with me, I was floored, humbly grateful, prayers answered in such an unexpected way -He supported my own coaching practice by teaching me that young adults on antidepressants have often not been taught boundaries, limits or delayed gratification. The mothers on antidepressants often feel like a failure when the children don't respect them -We teased about instead of creating work-life balance, he and his wife Liz create work-work balance! One of his latest sharing and caring sessions with her was about taking 3 months off a year! -And as the Divine would have it, we were able to invite her on the After the Show segment on Patreon... there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Joanne DiMaggio's new book is Soul Mates and Twin Souls Soul Mate. You see and hear that phrase everywhere, from magazine articles and television commercials to conversations with friends. Everyone, it seems, is searching for that elusive perfect romantic partner. Yet, in reality, a soul mate is not always a love interest. Your parents, your children, your friends, and your work colleagues can all be your soul mates. But there's a flip side to the soul mate relationship. Some are actually cell mates who keep you emotionally imprisoned. Or they could be a twin soul who is here to work alongside you on the same agenda. Understanding the difference between the three is explored by Joanne DiMaggio, MA, CHt, who has been researching and exploring reincarnation for over 35 years. Learn what experts in the field have to say about this misunderstood topic, and then read about the past-life/present-life experiences of ten research project volunteers who share what they've learned from their soul mates, cell mates, or twin souls as they travel together on the road to enlightenment. Joanne DiMaggio, MA, CHt, is a respected expert on the topic of reincarnation and Soul Writingä. A member of Edgar Cayce's Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) since 1987, Joanne earned her master's degree in Transpersonal Studies and her Spiritual Mentor certification through Atlantic University. She has published numerous articles and presented talks on pat-life exploration, the pre-life planning session, and Soul Writingä to global audiences. In addition, she has been a guest on nearly 100 radio programs and podcasts. Her books include: Soul Writing: Conversing with Your Higher Self, Your Soul Remembers: Accessing Your Past Lives through Soul Writing, Karma Can Be a Real Pain: Past Life Clues to Current Life Maladies, I Did It To Myself...Again! New Life-Between-Lives Case Studies Show How Your Soul's Contract Is Guiding Your Life, Edgar Cayce and Unfulfilled Destiny of Thomas Jefferson Reborn, The Inner Light: How the Beatles Planted the Spiritual Seed in our Souls Joanne conducts private past-life regression and Soul Writingä sessions via Zoom. Host: Jason Rigby Guest: Pam Montgomery Guest Website: wakeuptonature.com Podcast Mission: Higher and Saint Living (HDL) aims to explore profound topics that elevate consciousness and foster a deeper connection to the world around us. In this episode, we dive into humanity's relationship with nature and the transformative power of plants with Pam Montgomery. About Our Guest: Pam Montgomery Pam Montgomery is an author, teacher, international speaker, and self-described Earth Elder who has dedicated over three decades to exploring the intelligent and spiritual nature of plants and trees. She is the author of two acclaimed books: Plant Spirit Healing: A Guide to Working with Plant Consciousness and Partner Earth: A Spiritual Ecology. Her latest work, Co-Creating with Nature: Healing the Wound of Separation, serves as the foundation for this episode's discussion. Pam operates the Partner Earth Education Center at Sweetwater Sanctuary in Danby, Vermont, a space dedicated to co-creative research and sustainable living with nature. She teaches globally on plant spirit healing, spiritual ecology, and the concept of humans as "Nature Evolutionaries." Pam is a founding member of United Plant Savers and the Organization of Nature Evolutionaries (O.N.E.), and her current passion lies in facilitating plant initiations to guide humanity back to its symbiotic roots. About Sweetwater Sanctuary Located in Danby, Vermont, Sweetwater Sanctuary is a sacred space where Pam and her team honor the land, water, and all beings through prayer, ceremony, and offerings. It's a haven for optimal learning and deep healing, encouraging visitors to awaken to natural rhythms and engage in loving kindness. The sanctuary fosters a profound connection with nature, enhancing the sense of sanctuary for all who visit. Episode Overview In this episode of the HDL Podcast, host Jason Rigby sits down with Pam Montgomery to explore her book Co-Creating with Nature: Healing the Wound of Separation. Recorded on March 29, 2025, this conversation dives into the consciousness of plants, their role as our elders and partners, and how reconnecting with nature can heal both ourselves and the planet. Pam blends scientific insights, personal anecdotes, and spiritual wisdom to offer a practical yet profound roadmap for living in harmony with "sweet Lady Gaia." Key Discussion Points 1. Plants as Conscious Partners (03:12 - 06:46) Pam argues that plants are not just alive but conscious beings capable of communicating with us through vibratory resonance (light and sound). She emphasizes their essential role in sustaining life—providing oxygen, food, and medicine—and warns that our disconnect from them is dangerous. Jason references scientific studies showing plants responding to music and words, sparking a discussion on how everything vibrates, including humans and plants. 2. How to Communicate with Plants (06:46 - 13:14) Pam explains that plants fine-tune their resonance to us more effectively than we do to them because they are simply themselves, undistributed by human distractions. Practical tip: Be present with a plant, let it choose you (via attraction, movement, or intuition), and notice the sensations it evokes in your body (e.g., tingling, softness). She introduces biophotons—particles of light at the nucleus of our cells—that create a "laser" of coherence for two-way communication with plants, even across time and space. 3. Plant Initiations and Healing (13:14 - 18:06) Pam contrasts chasing external spiritual practices (e.g., gurus, crystals) with the power of "backyard weeds" like mugwort, which can heal us deeply through symbiotic connection. She shares a story of poke root appearing in her Vermont garden in 2020, a potent immune-supporting plant, as an example of nature responding to human needs. Plants show up where they're needed, offering gifts we often overlook due to our lack of attention. 4. The Wound of Separation (19:11 - 22:22) Pam traces humanity's separation from nature back 12,000 years to agriculture and empire-building, which led to an "amnesia" of our interdependence with the land. This original wound has cascading effects: separation from self, others, and the planet, resulting in widespread illness and disconnection. Biophilia—our innate love of nature—underscores how we're designed to live closely with plants. 5. Uncomfortable Truths and Nature Evolutionaries (22:58 - 26:17) The biggest lie we tell ourselves: Humans are the "crown of creation" and more intelligent than nature. Pam challenges this, citing Darwin's coerced narrative and nature's model of cooperation over competition. On her website, wakeuptonature.com, Pam calls us to become "Nature Evolutionaries," partnering with nature rather than relying solely on technology to "save" the planet. 6. Nature's Communication Networks (26:17 - 33:11) Pam shares a powerful story of a Puyo—an underground waterway portal in Vermont—where she and her husband, guided by Ecuadorian curandera Rocio Alarcon, heard forest spirits sing after a ritual with ayahuasca. She compares nature's mycelium network to the internet, highlighting its efficiency and biomimicry potential. 7. Signs of a Consciousness Shift (33:11 - 37:53) Pam sees plants leading humanity's spiritual evolution, citing the 1960s explosion of consciousness-expanding plants (cannabis, peyote, mushrooms) and modern practices like flower essences and plant initiations. Skeptics miss this hidden sign: Plants have always preceded their animal counterparts in evolution, and they're now guiding us toward unity consciousness. 8. Diving Deeper into Nature (37:53 - 43:23) Unlike spiritual paths that reject the material world, Pam's approach embraces nature as divine, present in everything—not a distant deity. She describes daily "wow moments" (e.g., sunrise walks in Belize) that release oxytocin, the bonding hormone, fostering restoration and connection over stress (cortisol). 9. Healing Through Plants (46:52 - 50:19) Pam cites biophysicist Fritz Popp's discovery that plant biophotons can repattern unhealthy cells' light toward health, offering a cellular-level explanation for plant healing. Beyond science, plants uplift us emotionally and spiritually—e.g., the awe of a redwood forest or the scent of roses—because healing is one of their primary gifts. 10. Mugwort as a Teacher and Soulmate (50:49 - 54:57) Mugwort (Artemisia spp.), known as "Oona, the first herb," moves stagnant energy, aids dream recall (nighttime and shamanic), and reconnects us to our wild, undomesticated selves. Associated with Artemis and the moon, it supports women through life transitions and is a key ally in spiritual healing. 11. Closing Thoughts and Upcoming Projects (56:11 - 58:06) Jason praises Co-Creating with Nature as a timely wake-up call with a heartbeat, inviting listeners to heal themselves and the planet through reverence for nature. Pam previews her work: Plant Initiations: Ceremonies where plants act as elders, guiding us to be "truly human." Offered at Sweetwater Sanctuary and worldwide.
