Greg Brady and the panel of: Ben Mulroney, Host of the Ben Mulroney Show 9 to Noon on the Corus Radio Network Ana Bailao, former Toronto city councillor, deputy mayor, housing expert Discuss: 1-There's a LOT of spending in the Ontario budget - and a lot of grim economic news…..what worries you the most? Does this make it clear that the Ford Government was right to get ahead of these concerning financial numbers in the province? Ontario tables tariff-era budget with bigger deficit and bleak economic outlook 2-Still more criticism of the fact the federal government won't put out a budget for the rest of the calendar year. Fair to criticize this, and, for Ana, - does not having a federal budget impact the City of Toronto, and what they can and cannot do? The government could function without a budget, but will need a spending bill 3-Bubble zones - this has seemed terribly difficult to get things in line - when it comes to hospitals, places of worships, and schools? Other municipalities - it took 2-3 weeks…we're close to 19 months into regular and consistent protests anywhere and everywhere in Toronto… Learn more about your ad choices. What if the stories we believe about poverty are holding us back from real change? For generations, narratives of blame, pity, and resignation have shaped how we respond to poverty-often with harmful consequences. But what happens when we center the voices of those who live these realities every day? In this series, we unpack the unproductive narratives that keep communities stuck and discover how new stories -rooted in lived experience- can spark meaningful change for everyone. In our first episode, we hear from John White, a leader with decades of experience in public and community service, who shares how bringing lived experience into policy-making can truly drive change. From personal reflections to practical advice, John describes his journey of understanding community challenges not through the lens of common narratives but through direct engagement and lived experience. He offers a tangible example of how proximity to real stories can shape policies and practices that impact families and communities across an entire state. Don't miss this powerful conversation about leadership, justice, and the future of community-driven change.

In this episode of Think Tank, Robert sits down with Jason Shurka, a visionary author, entrepreneur, and founder of UNIFYD Healing, for a conversation that bridges ancient wisdom, modern science, and personal transformation. Jason opens up about his deeply personal journey following his father's death and how this experience led him to a deeper understanding of energy, healing, and legacy. Together, they explore the creation of the Light System, a frequency-based healing technology rooted in sacred geometry, vibration, and resonance. The conversation dives into the mysteries of ancient Egypt, the power of pyramid geometry, and the hidden intelligence behind time, space, and architectural design. Robert and Jason discuss the mathematical and spiritual significance of proportions, how geometry governs art and biology, and the connection between healing and divine design. This dialogue explores consciousness, coherence, and the future of wellness technologies. It features powerful personal stories, ancient insights, and an invitation to rediscover the sacred patterns that shape our reality. You're Listening to Parallax Views https://parallaxviews.podbean.com/ Support the Show on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/parallaxviews On this edition of Parallax Views with J.G. Michael, we explore the powerful financial forces behind Washington D.C.'s most influential think tanks—and how those funding streams may shape U.S. foreign policy and defense strategy. Joining us are Ben Freeman and Nick Cleveland-Stout of the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft to discuss their eye-opening project: the Think Tank Funding Tracker (TTFT). The TTFT is designed to bring much-needed transparency and accountability to the world of policy influence, exposing the financial ties between think tanks and their funders. Specifically, we look at three major sources of funding: U.S. government funding, led by the Department of Defense Foreign government contributions, including major donors like Saudi Arabia and Qatar Defense contractor money, with Northrop Grumman leading the charge Think tanks play a vital role in shaping public policy through research, analysis, and recommendations. But as Ben and Nick explain, financial backing can create conflicts of interest and biases that may influence the narratives and policy prescriptions these institutions offer. Some think tanks rank high in transparency—others, particularly those with more hawkish foreign policy stances, score a troubling zero. We also address the issue of “dark money” think tanks, declining public trust, and how the TTFT includes concrete policy recommendations to encourage better disclosure practices. The conversation highlights the need for vigilance in understanding who is funding the experts shaping public debate and decision-making. One key case study we explore is the Atlantic Council, a major D.C. think tank whose funding sources exemplify the complex web of influence at play in the policy space. If you're interested in U.S. foreign policy, military-industrial complex dynamics, Middle East geopolitics, or political influence in Washington, this is a must-listen episode that breaks down the often unseen forces shaping global affairs. For more information please read Quincy Brief #68: Big Ideas and Big Money: Think Tank Funding in America.

Episode 123In this episode, we explore one of Thomas Aquinas's most profound arguments for the existence of God—based on the distinction between essence and existence. Why do things exist at all, and what does it mean that their existence is not necessary? We unpack how Aquinas reasoned that only in God are essence and existence identical, making Him the necessary being that grounds all contingent reality. If you're interested in classical theism or deep philosophical reasoning about God's nature, this episode is for you.5 Happy Birthday Versions | Terrible to Amazing: https://youtu.be/R2Eotw3IxN4The Argument:1. In all finite beings, there is a real distinction between essence (what a thing is) and existence (that a thing is).2. Anything whose essence is distinct from its existence does not exist necessarily; it requires a cause to exist.3. The collection of all such contingent beings (whose essence is not existence) cannot account for its own existence.4. A series of caused beings, even an infinite one, cannot explain why existence itself is present rather than absent.5. Therefore, there must exist a being whose essence is existence itself (ipsum esse subsistens)—a being that does not receive existence but is existence. Conclusion: Such a being exists, and it is the necessary ground of all other beings—this is what we call God.Find our videocast here: https://youtu.be/IC8oTquPEIEMusic from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!):https://uppbeat.io/t/reakt-music/deep-stoneLicense code: 2QZOZ2YHZ5UTE7C8Find more Take 2 Theology content at https://take2pod.wordpress.com/

Imagine sitting in a room full of financial professionals, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders, all gathered with a shared mission—to gain clarity, deepen understanding, and refine strategies for implementing Infinite Banking. That's exactly what happened at the Nelson Nash Institute Think Tank 2025, and today, we're sharing the most impactful takeaways with you. https://www.youtube.com/live/qTqZo7AvS88 Bruce and Becca just got back from this annual gathering, where the best minds in Infinite Banking come together to ensure that Nelson Nash's legacy remains strong and relevant. I (Rachel) wasn't able to attend in person this year, but listening to their insights and stories makes me even more eager to go in the future. If you've ever wondered how to simplify the Infinite Banking Concept (IBC) and use it effectively in today's financial climate, you'll want to read on. What is the Nelson Nash Institute Think Tank? And Why Does It Matter?1. Do Simple Better2. Think Long Range and Don't Be Afraid to Capitalize3. Don't Do Business with Banks4. Differentiate Between the Process and the Product5. The Role of Whole Life Insurance vs. IUL (Indexed Universal Life)Take Control of Your Financial FutureBook A Strategy Call What is the Nelson Nash Institute Think Tank? And Why Does It Matter? If you're not familiar, the Think Tank is an annual conference hosted by the Nelson Nash Institute (NNI). It's designed for authorized practitioners, students of Infinite Banking, and selected clients who want to understand the deeper nuances of IBC. It's not just a networking event—it's a mastermind of like-minded individuals dedicated to financial autonomy. Nelson Nash started this event over 20 years ago as a way to keep the message pure—to prevent the Infinite Banking Concept from being diluted or sensationalized. Unfortunately, we see confusion in the marketplace today, with different variations of Infinite Banking being promoted under flashy names like “accelerated banking” or “infinite wealth systems.” The Think Tank exists to bring clarity and help authorized practitioners share the true power of Infinite Banking with their clients. Here's what we learned this year: 1. Do Simple Better One of the key messages from this year's Think Tank was keeping the concept simple. Too often, people overcomplicate Infinite Banking, adding unnecessary complexity that confuses clients. One common example? The language we use. Bruce pointed out a pet peeve of his—calling policy premiums “deposits.” Some advisors use this terminology because they think clients will shut down if they hear the word “premium.” But this causes confusion. A premium is not a bank deposit. It's a strategic payment into a life insurance policy that provides long-term benefits. When we use clear, honest language, we empower people to make informed decisions. The key takeaway: Clarity leads to confidence. If you want to succeed with Infinite Banking, simplify the process, use the right terminology, and avoid unnecessary complexity. 2. Think Long Range and Don't Be Afraid to Capitalize One of the biggest mistakes people make with Infinite Banking is short-term thinking. Nelson Nash emphasized the importance of capitalization—funding your policy properly so you can reap the benefits later. At the Think Tank, Bruce and Becca discussed the trend of minimizing base premiums to maximize early cash value. While this might seem attractive at first, it contradicts the foundational principles of IBC. A well-funded policy—one with an appropriate base premium—is what creates sustainable, long-term growth. Becca shared a powerful insight: “Your behavior matters more than the product.” The Infinite Banking Concept isn't just about whole life insurance—it's about how you use it. If you're not willing to think long-term and capitalize your system, you won't see the full benefits. 3. Don't Do Business with Banks
