Kirk Parsley served as an Undersea Medical Officer at Naval Special Warfare Group One from June 2009 to January 2013. While there, he led the development and supervised the group's first Sports Medicine Rehabilitation center. He is a former SEAL, and received his Medical Degree from Bethesda, Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences (USUHS) in 2004. He interned in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Balboa Naval Hospital San Diego in 2005 and subsequently completed a Navy residency in Hyperbarics and Diving Medicine in 2006. Dr. Parsley has been a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine since 2006 and served as Naval Special Warfare's expert on Sleep Medicine. In addition he is certified in hormonal modulation (Age-Management Medicine). After leaving the Navy he went into concierge medicine and consulting. He continues to consult for multiple corporations, and professional athletes/teams. Doctor Parsley lectures worldwide on sleep, wellness, and hormonal optimization and is currently completing a book on sleep and health optimization. His philosophy for wellness is simple; in order to optimize our health and get the most out of our bodies and minds, we must live more closely to the way we evolved as a species. He believes that many diseases and disorders that we accept as “inevitable” in modern society are unnecessary complications of poor sleeping habits, living in a toxic environment, eating foods we were not designed to digest, and allowing stress to overwhelm us. Thomas P Seager is an associate professor in the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment at Arizona State University. Seager leads research teams working at the boundaries of engineering and social science to understand innovation for resilient infrastructure systems, including the life-cycle environmental consequences of emerging energy technologies, novel approaches to teamwork and communication in socio-technical integrative settings, and engineering ethics education. Current research sponsors include the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, the Environmental Protection Agency, and several industry partners. Seager is the faculty director of the Resource Innovation Solutions Network (RISN), a partnership of between ASU, City of Phoenix and other local municipalities for fostering circular, closed-loop economies. RISN operates a vertical incubator to nurture entrepreneurs that will accelerate the transition to a Circular Economy. Additionally, Seager serves as chairman and CEO of eXperiential Sustainability Ethics Training (XSETGames, LLC), which creates digital simulations for examining economic and ethical dimensions of wicked problems including pharmaceutical pricing, technological innovation, intergenerational equity and the Tragedy of the Commons.  These simulations have been used by corporations, government agencies, and higher education clients, including dozens of Universities on three different continents. Lastly, Seager founded the non-profit Sustainability Conoscente Network as a mechanism for sharing knowledge related to systems approaches to sustainable technologies. The Conoscente holds the International Symposium on Sustainable Systems and Technology in May of every year. Chiropractor to Congress, Supreme Court, and the White House, Parker University's Seventh President, Active Texas Chiropractic Association Member, and proud Texan Dr. Morgan has a long history of serving in military healthcare. At age 17, he joined the Navy and served with a Marine Recon company as a special operations technician hospital corpsman. During that time, he qualified in parachuting, military diving, submarine insertion, jungle warfare, combat swimming, explosives, mountaineering, winter warfare and Arctic survival. Additionally, he attended anti-terrorist training at the FBI Academy. After leaving active military service and transferring to the Navy Reserves, Dr. Morgan began his educational journey to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. While at Palmer College of Chiropractic-West, he transferred to a Naval Special Warfare platoon as the unit's primary hospital corpsman. In 1985, Dr. Morgan received his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic–West and soon after, married fellow Palmer graduate, Clare Pelkey. They practiced for thirteen years in California. In 1998, Dr. Morgan was chosen to establish the first chiropractic clinic at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, which later became Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. In 2015, Walter Reed recognized Dr. Morgan with its highest honor for clinical excellence, the Master Clinician's Award. During the last 18 years at the military's most prestigious medical centers, he practiced in an integrative setting, providing chiropractic care to the injured troops returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. In the year 2000, Dr. Morgan was appointed as the Chiropractor to Congress at the U.S. Capitol. At the Office of the Attending Physician to Congress, doctors of many specialties care for members of Congress and the Supreme Court. In 2007, Dr. Morgan began serving as the White House Chiropractor. He was appointed chiropractor for the United States Naval Academy football team in 2009 (which never lost to Army while under his care). In 2011, Dr. Morgan was appointed to the United States Navy Musculoskeletal Continuum of Care Advisory Board, an entity created to address the prevalent injuries sustained by U.S. Armed Forces Personnel during active-duty operations. Dr. Morgan also served on the Spine Subcommittee, which helps develop care algorithms for treating spinal conditions and determining the future of musculoskeletal management in the U.S. Armed Forces. Upon arriving in Texas, he became an active member and supporter of the Texas Chiropractic Association (TCA). Almost immediately, he organized a leadership summit to establish a legislative agenda strategy for chiropractors in Texas. Texas Chiropractors had not won a significant legislative victory in two decades, but in 2017 four bills advantageous to the chiropractic profession passed. Additionally, Morgan has assisted in fundraising, membership recruitment, and awareness for the TCA. As lifetime member of the American Chiropractic Association (ACA), he has also held several leadership positions in the organization and continues to serve on the Advisory Board and Ethics Committee. He is also a board member of the Association of Chiropractic Colleges. Dr. Morgan is the recipient of many prestigious awards, namely: The American Chiropractic Association Chairman's Award of Valor, 2003 Chiropractor of the Year from the American Chiropractic Association, 2003 Doctor of Laws, L.L.D. He regularly presents at regional, national, and international conferences on his research and serves as a sports nutrition/exercise science consultant to various companies in the health/fitness/sports supplement space. Additionally, he has served as an expert witness in the areas of sports nutrition and sports medicine. Dr. Escalante has secured over $150,000 of internal funding to support his teaching and research as well as over $5 million in external funding as principal investigator or co-investigator through various businesses and agencies, inclusive of the US Department of Education and the US Department of Veteran Affairs. In 2021, Dr. Escalante became one of only 36 fellows (out 36,000+ members) of the ISSN for his contributions in the field of sport nutrition. Dr. Escalante is an active member of the NATA, NSCA, and the ISSN. He serves as a reviewer and associate editor for the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition (JISSN), Vice-President for the ISSN, and chair of the NSCA Bodybuilding and Fitness Special Interest Group. Professor Phillips is a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Skeletal Muscle Health in Aging. He is a Professor in Kinesiology, and Graduate Faculty in the School of Medicine at McMaster University.
