Joyelle Nicole Johnson is a Brooklyn based stand up comedian, writer and actress.  She can be seen on the final season of HBO’s Crashing and is currently the warm up comic for Hasan Minhaj’s Patriot Act on Netflix.  Joyelle made her network TV debut last year on Late Night with Seth Meyers and most recently wrote for the final season of Broad City.  She has performed on Comedy Central’s digital series Comics to Watch, Wyatt Cenac’s Night Train for Seeso, Laff Tracks for TruTV as well as being a panelist for Refinery 29/Facebook Watch’s After After Party and MTV News. Joyelle was selected for the 2018 FOX Comedy Showcase, was a finalist in NBC’s Stand Up for Diversity Showcase and has performed at festivals like Sketchfest, Bonnaroo, The New York Comedy Festival and Bumbershoot. Growing up in the South Bronx, she applied her musical talents in a range of roles, from band leader to session singer. Avicii, Johnny Cash, Chris Cornell og Elton John eru fyrirferðarmiklir í Rokklandi vikunnar. Í tilefni af kveðju-tónleikaferð Eltons John sem hann kallar Farewell Yellow Brick Road voru að koma út tvær plötur, einskonar systraplötur með lögum Eltons við texta Bernie Taupin sem hinir og þessir syngja og spila. Plöturnar heita Revamp og Restoration; Reimagening the songs of Elton John and Bernie Taupin og á meðan önnur er kántrí er hin meira Popp. Bernie valdi listamennina á aðra og Elton á hina. Við heyrum af þessu hérna á eftir. Við veltum líka aðeins fyrir okkur hvort tónleikabransinn sé á brauðfótum, en það eru ansi margir að kveðja. Elton John er í kveðjutúr, Paul Simon, Neil Diamond og Joan Baez líka. Svo eru margir komnir á aldur, Bob Dylan er 76 ára og er enn að túra, Neil Young er 72ja, Eagles halda áfram þó svo þeir missi mann og annan en Glenn Frey lykilmaður í Eagles lést fyrir tveimur árum og sonur hans er kominn inn í hans stað. Don Henley trommari Eagles er sjötugur. Kiss kallarnir Paul og Gene eru 66 og 68 ára og Bruce Springsteen er 68 ára. Við kíkjum aðeins á þetta í þættinum. Og ég ætla að segja ykkur frá nýrri plötu með nýjum lögum eftir hina og þessa við texta eftir Johnny Cash sem var að koma út. Chris Cornell á þar t.d. eitt lag. Guns´n Roses koma aðeins við sögu í dag og líka hinn sænski Avicci sem lést nýlega, 28 ára að aldri í Múskat, höfuðborg Oman. Dánarorsök var sjálfsvíg. Avicii hét í raun Tim Berglingl sló í gegn árið 2011 með laginu Levels og var m.a. tilnefnt til Grammy verðlauna. Hann sendi frá sér tvær breiðskífur, True árið 2013 og Stories árið 2015, en á báðum plötum má finna gríðarlega vinsæl lög sem spiluð hafa verið mörg hundruð milljón sinnum á streymisveitum eins og Youtube og Spotify og líka í útvarpi um allan heim. Avicii sem var einn eftirsóttasti DJ í heimi hætti að koma fram á tónleikum árið 2016 vegna þess að hann réði ekki við álagið sem fylgdi því.
