Luke 10:38-42 Today, we hear the story of two sisters — Mary and Martha! They welcomed Jesus into their home. While Martha hurried about making everything just right, Mary quietly sat at Jesus’ feet and listened to every word He said. Jesus loved them both — the busy one and the quiet one — just like He loves you! Sometimes you’ll be like Mary, quietly close to Jesus. Other times you might be like Martha, busy with chores, homework, or sports that are yelling, “Do me first!” But Jesus gently reminds us: putting Him first is what matters most. Kids will hear what that actually looks like and are reminded He doesn’t love you because you work hard — psst! — you don’t have to earn His love. He loves you because you’re His. ---------- ------------

Now she's the host of Stripped, a podcast where the glam takes a backseat and the mess gets the mic. Other topics on the table: dad bod thirsting, Bible shot glasses sewn into a nun outfit, Sean Penn showing up in a truck for breakfast and smelling like cigarettes, and why success isn't about being number one but staying sane long enough to enjoy the ride. Brett is hilarious, brutally honest, and fully in her comeback era. Welcome back to chapter 16 on Build Your Bible Habit. Every chapter of Proverbs includes life instructions that help us to handle matters wisely (Prov. 16:20). The Word of God is sufficient to guide us in every aspect of our lives, but we need to know what it says in order to follow the guidance. Do you trust God so much with your life that you pray for direction and then only want His will? "Thy will be done" is an essential part of the prayer pattern that Christ left us in Matthew 6:9-13. Proverbs 16:3 is another way of saying, "Thy will be done." When we commit our works to the Lord, He makes us stable, secure, and steadfast.  "Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established." (Proverbs 16:3) Building your Bible habit with a daily Proverb will increase your wisdom and understanding as you yield your plans to God and apply His Word to your life.  Book Club Selections in the Shop Apply: Living What We Learn--31-Day Devotional by Francie Taylor What Do I Have to Lose?-Book 2 Devotional by Janice Wolfe Herbs for the Heart: A Study of James by Kathy Ashley From Overwhelmed to Overcomer by Natalie Raynes Blanton Ponder the Path: A 31-Day Devotional by Francie Taylor Rough Patches: Temporary Marital Tensions by Francie Taylor Follow Keep the Heart on Instagram Like Keep the Heart on Facebook "Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established." We're not just watching history—we're living in the middle of God's unfolding purposes. In this message, Pastor Allen Jackson calls us to wake up, speak up, and stand with bold faith. As he refers to Scripture from throughout the Bible, Pastor Allen teaches if you reject the Truth and you follow evil, you will face a God of wrath and anger. That's not a threat; it's awareness (Romans 2:8). As the nations rage and Israel takes center stage, we must understand our role as God's people in this unique moment. It's time to embrace responsibility, reject passivity, and align with God's eternal promises. He's moving—let's not miss it.

Matthew presents Jesus Christ as the Jesus as the Mashiach Nagid, the Messiah the King, the Lion of the tribe of Judah. It was written by a Jew, to Jews, about a Jew. This book of the Bible uses more Old Testament quotes than any other. The Gospel of Matthew emphasizes the saying of Jesus, including ten parables not found in any other Gospel. After first establishing the royal genealogy, he then goes on to focus on the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies. Matthew uses the term "fulfilled" 82 times! Many scholars now believe that the Gospel was written before Paul's first imprisonment of 57-60 A.D., and that virtually all of the New Testament books were written before Jerusalem's destruction. This study contains 24 hours of verse by verse teachings. Copyright © 11-01-2006 Recorded: 2006

Patrick answers a caller’s anxious question about the validity of a Catholic wedding when a bride voices doubts about having children—offering frank, pastoral advice rooted in Church teaching. He turns to practical matters, discussing fasting before Communion, the line between venial and mortal sins, and recommending ways to engage the Bible more deeply with Catholic study tools. Lighter moments surface too, as Patrick weighs in on movie suggestions, responds warmly to handwritten letters, and addresses the challenges of faith in mixed marriages, all while weaving genuine encouragement and wit throughout.
