In der 93. Folge unseres Podcasts Zeltgespräche berichten wir wie gewohnt von unseren Abenteuern der vergangen Woche. Diesmal ging es ins Siebengebirge und zum Drachenfels. Eine malerische Landschaft direkt am Rhein. In dieser Folge haben wir es auch zeitlich endlich mal wieder geschafft ein paar spannende Zuhörer-Fragen zu beantworten.Im Hauptteil der Folge geht es um die Bewertung von tierischen Produkten wie Daune und Merino im Vergleich zu synthetischen Produkten wie Climashield. Dieses Thema beleuchten wir aus technischer Sicht im Bezug auf den Nutzen und auch aus Umweltsicht. Das eine ist leichter komprimierbar und hält etwas länger. Kim Newman in conversation with Jordan SorceryKim Newman has had a long and successful career as an author famous for his Anno Dracula series, as a television personality, and as Empire's horror expert since the magazine's very first issue. The first in the serialisation of Jack Yeovil's most famous Warhammer novels. Updated: at 21:26 August 20th to remove the wind sound that crept mysteriously into the recording.

For our fourth episode, Eric Wier and Alexander Winberg talk about the 1989 horror classic Drachenfels by Kim Newman, of the Anno Dracula fame. We chat about the novel's interesting place in the Old World, and how things have both stayed the same and also changed in the Warhammer world since it was first written. We also talk about its unusual characters and interesting plot structure: a jailed playwright and vampire from Bretonnia creating a dramatization of the defeat of the dreaded Drachenfels.

In der 15. Folge unseres Podcasts „Zeltgespräche” berichten wir wie gewohnt von unseren Aktivitäten der vorherigen Woche. Ein Großteil dieser Aktivitäten beschäftigte sich mit unserer Planung für den spektakulären Westweg durch den Schwarzwald. Um genau diese Planung soll es in dieser Folge auch hauptsächlich gehen. Abgesehen von unserer akribischen Planung gab es auch andere spannende Aktivitäten, wie Übernachtungen auf luxuriösen Campingplätzen und auf einem Schiff mit wunderschönem Blick auf den Drachenfels.In dem Hauptteil der Folge erzählen wir dann zum einen über die mystische Anziehungskraft des Schwarzwaldes selber und über den berühmten Westweg, und zum anderen über die genaue Planung für diesen besagten Trail. Der Schwarzwald ist sogar international sehr bekannt und lockt mit seinen Märchenwäldern tausende Besucher zu seinen Tannen, Seen und Felsen. Genau diese Gebiete wollen wir durchwandern und erleben. Der Westweg erstreckt sich über 285 km und um diese zu bewältigen bedarf es natürlich einiges an Planung.Nachdem wir in Folge 14 bereits über die nötige Kleidung für Trekking-Touren gesprochen haben, fokussieren wir uns in Folge 15 auf Themen wie Tagesetappen-Planung, Schlafplatz-Auswahl, Essen und Trinken, Hygiene und auch verschiedene Sicherheitsaspekte. Diese Punkte hören sich wahrscheinlich erst einmal abschreckend an, sind aber doch in der Praxis gut durchzuführen und mit guter Planung kann man sicherstellen, dass man eine noch angenehmere und bessere Wildnis-Erfahrung macht.Wir hoffen, dass ihr nach dem Hören dieser Folge genau soviel Lust auf den Schwarzwald und den Westweg habt wie wir, und diesen eventuell auch zukünftig plant und auch lauft und somit in diesen magischen Wald eintauchen werdet und ihn mit allen Sinnen erleben könnt. This book is apparently link to the Warhammer game, which I didn't know was even a thing but that's actually a pretty cool idea. It makes me very curious about what other books are in the series and if they all have the same tone. This book starts off with a bang, quite literally as someone in the party actually explodes after performing some magic. It turns out that this crew is heading to kill an evil, evil man who is like, boderline immortal, and it seems they succeed. It. SEEMS. I am really interesting in what happens next, here's hoping I get another episode!

Current Projects Danie swatched for an epic Hamilton-inspired hat Emily of Knitting Butterflies has designed.  Susie started figuring out the border on her Oh Scrap Blanket, and because she's a Prairie Girl, had to do some re-figuring too. She knit a bit on her black 2x1 Ribbed Socks, her Directional Socks,  and cast on a third Newborn Bonnet & Wrap Set, and yet another iteration of a Christmas Stocking. She worked a little on her Drachenfels, and cast on a Pebble Beach Shawl using handspun from Sarah of Cultivate & Create, a super secret hat using madelinetosh Vintage in Mill Pond. And finally, she cast on a new sweater - Vedai - using One Twisted Tree Lavish in Frozen Forest of Dean. Future Projects Danie is going to swatch for Staring at Stars to cast on soon. Enhance the Stash Susie enhanced her stash with blanket edging yarn twice, The Loopy Ewe S0lid Series in Slate, sweater yarn, One Twisted Tree Lavish in Frozen Forest of Dean, and a new bag from The Fat Squirrel.
