Getting the most out of your website is Paul’s main theme in this week’s special episode Listen for 10+ free or low cost ideas to attract more traffic to your site. So you can turn the visitors into leads, prospects and clients This deep dive into increasing web traffic touches on many tactics, including social media, reciprocal promotions, client referrals, public relations, promotional items and paid for advertising Show notes Out every Tuesday on your favourite podcast platform Presented by Paul Green, an MSP marketing expert In this special episode Paul mentioned Google Analytics as way to find out how much traffic you’re currently getting The service Stannp was mentioned for sending automated physically printed materials Register for a free copy of Paul's book You can join Paul in the MSP Marketing group on Facebook On September 14th Paul’s special guest will be Colin Knox from Gradient MSP, talking about how best to deal with your client’s data security compliance Got a question from the show? Paul Green: Hello, welcome to a very special episode of the MSP Marketing Podcast. This week, we’re doing a deep dive into a subject that many people don’t talk that much about web traffic, because getting your website set up is almost the easy part. And there’s loads of places you can go for help getting your website perfect. But actually you’ve got to get traffic to your website. And then you’ve got to turn that traffic into leads, and those leads into prospects and those prospects into clients. And that’s the difficult, ongoing bit. If the website is the marketing engine of your business, then web traffic is the fuel. And without fuel, your website is an expensive and useless lump. So most MSP owners don’t invest nearly enough resource into driving enough web traffic. The days of setting up a website and people just getting to it, just visiting it, they ended, I don’t know, 20,21 years ago, the turn of the century. Paul Green: These days, your website will just sit there unvisited. So the trick is to focus on quality and not quantity. You don’t need 10,000 unique visitors every single week. You just need 50 to 100 highly targeted, relevant people every single week. The people who are most likely to go on to become great clients for your MSP. Now, as a side note, if you don’t know how many unique visitors your website currently gets, or even how many pages they view or anything like that, then install Google Analytics. It’s free, of course. It is a bit hard to read, but it gives you an insight into what’s happening in your website. And there are a lot of much more user-friendly alternatives to Google Analytics out there. If you just go and Google some, you̵

Princeton economist and Nobel laureate, Sir Angus Deaton co-authored a famous study concluding that well-being peaks at $75k/year in income. But the results of this research are widely misconstrued and go much deeper than that headline. The first question we wrestle with is "what does it mean to be happy?” We also get into health, opioids, and trout-fishing. A native of Edinburgh, Scotland, Angus Deaton earned his BA, MA, and PhD at Cambridge. Since 1983, he has been a member of the Economics faculty at Princeton University. He has won many awards, most notably the 2015 Nobel Memorial prize in Economic Sciences for his analysis of consumption, poverty, and welfare. In 2016, Deaton joined the Order of the British Empire, named Knight Bachelor "for his services to research in economics and international affairs.” Check out his latest book on Amazon: Deaths of Despair and the Future of Capitalism Write a Review of Crazy Money (for real - do this!) Our brains are not good at predicting what will actually make us happy. You think you want more money, more fame, and to be alone, but what will actually make you happy are more social connections and more gratitude. Dr. Santos’ course Psychology and the Good Life—the most popular class in Yale’s history—teaches students to live happier, more fulfilling lives, which is good because student rates of anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts are at an all-time high. Lent started last week, with pancakes on Shrove Tuesday followed by Ash Wednesday - and now we have 6 weeks to prepare for the great celebration of Easter. We start this week's programme by asking how we might make best use of this time - should we be be 'giving up something' and just be grumpy for the whole of Lent? - or would it be better to look on these weeks as a chance to 'spring clean' our life - to ask God's forgiveness for the things we know we could have done better - to look again at our values and attitudes, and to think more deeply about our world, and our place in it. Then we turn our attention to The Leprosy Mission - Paul Moores, Regional Manager with responsibility for the Isle of Man would usually be with us now - but for obvious reasons he can't - so he's making a virtual visit by sending a mini-service to launch UNCONDITIONAL - a new appeal to help the people of Mozambique - one of the world's poorest countries and one still in the grip of leprosy. The highly effective drugs to cure leprosy are available free of charge, but the challenge is to banish the stigma attached to the disease, then teach the people how to recognise the early stages of leprosy, and to come forward for treatment. And Paul is joined by a new celebrity who is lending her weight to the UNCONDITIONAL Appeal - Dame Darcey Bussell! And yes - the famous Leprosy Mission Annual Quiz WILL take place on Friday 26 February at 7.30pm in the Promenade Methodist Church Hall, in Douglas. The local Leprosy Mission IOM Trustees will host the evening, which includes a free hot pot supper (vegetarian option available) and Paul Moores will be the Quizmaster, joining in on the big screen! All are welcome, and whilst the evening is free, for catering purposes you must reserve your place(s) Email Paul on paulm@tlmew.org.uk There'll also be an opportunity at the end of the evening, to make a donation to the UNCONDITIONAL Appeal for Mozambique. It's Lent Lunch time again - there are details on today's notice board, of lunches being served this week, and you can find the comprehensive list on social media - got to facebook.com and search for Isle of Man Lent Lunches. If you'd like to request a favourite hymn or sacred music, or to give me details of notice board items, my email address is judithley@manx.net

Paul Ganster began traveling to Mexico with his friend and former high school teacher, Harry Crosby, in the early 1960s. When Crosby landed his 1967 commission to photograph the El Camino Real, he asked Ganster, then a graduate student at UCLA, to make the trip with him. In retracing the original Portolá missionary expedition of 1769, Crosby and Ganster covered 600 grueling miles, mostly by mule. Ganster took trail notes, made detailed drawings and maps, and shot scores of photographs. However, no job was more important than feeding the mules. Each evening, he would climb the palo verde trees and use a machete to hack off branches that the mules would crunch on loudly. The trip was a life-changing trip for both men. Crosby's photographs from the journey were published in The Call to California in 1969. He often returned to Baja to photograph cave paintings and study early life in Alta, California and published several books on the subject. Baja figured prominently into Ganster's life as well. In his long career in academia, he is an acknowledged expert on the U.S.-Mexico border region. Currently, he directs the Institute for Regional Studies of the Californias at San Diego State University. He's recently edited Loreto, Mexico: Challenges for a Sustainable Future (2020, SDSU Press) with Oscar Arizpe and Vinod Sasidharan. He and Arizpe, a professor at the Universidad A. de Baja California Sur, collaborated on two earlier projects examining Loreto's sustainability. Check out Paul Ganster's extensive writings here. Host John Chester takes a musical journey with musician and guest Paul Kosovich in this episode of Power of a Positive Playlist Podcast.Paul started playing instruments as a young teenager. He went from one thing to the next, continuing his interest in everything from drums, keyboards, guitar and more, and fostered a love of writing and performing with anything he could find. Paul only had a month of formal drum lessons, but he naturally applied himself and became ‘instrumental’, playing for weddings by the time he was 16 years old. He joined a band playing keyboard by 17, and before long he was touring across the nation. “I can make noise on anything.” ~ Paul KosovichHis music history included Pink Floyd, the Thunderbirds, and many others. Over the years he added country music to his mix.He had a lot of fun, enjoyed a lot of notoriety, and had experiences most dream about. But it had a darkside as he watched the drugs take their toll on his band and friends. Pretty soon, they were so high they couldn’t play at all. This story takes you on quite a ride! Princeton economist and Nobel Prize-winner, Sir Angus Deaton co-authored a famous study concluding that well-being peaks at $75k/year in income. But the results of this research go much deeper and are widely misconstrued. In 2016, Deaton joined the Order of the British Empire, named Knight Bachelor "for his services to research in economics and international affairs.” Check out his latest book on Amazon: The Great Escape: Health, Wealth, and the Origins of Inequality Find all things Paul Ollinger on his website: http://paulollinger.com Email Paul at Paul@CrazyMoneyPodcast.com

The Paul Gough Audio Experience: Business Lessons for Physical Therapists
This is a very special and rare episode… it's an interview with Mike Michalowicz - celebrity speaker and No.1 Best Selling Author of Profit First, Clockwork, Surge, The Pumpkin Plan and The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur. Mike's is very well known in in the small business community across the world for his “Profit First” concept - something that I adapted into ALL of my businesses right after I read his book. In this podcast we discuss the “Profit First” concept and how physical therapists can apply it to ultimately AVOID the pitfall that many fall into in thinking that they'll make money “someday” from their busienss. It's easy to think you're "playing the long game" but it shouldn't come at the expense of never making any profit. We discuss how to start making PROFIT right away and how the Profit First principle puts you in a better position to make better decisions about your business. Do that, and you will make more money. It's a very simple philosophy. Excitingly, Mike is scheduled to speak at my next 4% Club Mastermind Event on June 29-30th, 2019 in Nashville. We have a limited number of General Admission tickets available if you would like to come along for the weekend and hear Mike speak in person. Email Paul@paulgough.com for tickets and pricing information. Be quick, just 5 seats available.
