DEI. It's a hot topic, but it's also a complex one—and it's under disruption like never before. We're seeing a lot of confusion, and frankly, some backsliding when it comes to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The question is, what can HR leaders do about it? What do they tell their teams? That's why the HR Works podcast has rolled out “Deconstructing DEIB,” a series designed to cut through the confusion. In this series, we'll take a deep dive into the often-misunderstood concepts of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), going beyond the buzzwords, exploring the nuances of each element and examining how they intersect to truly impact the employee experience. In the second episode of our four-part series, we deconstruct equity, which often gets misunderstood. What does it really mean in the workplace? How can HR leaders move beyond good intentions and create a truly level playing field? Jennifer Martinez, Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer and Partner at Hanson Bridgett joins to discuss. Jennifer leads the firm's DEI consulting practice to assist other businesses with DEI initiatives, helping them navigate how to continue to promote and support equality efforts in the current climate.

This is very important and I pray that the Lord will touch the hearts deeply of everyone who watches and listens. You see, Mario has been a long time, faithful evangelist. His testimony is powerful. I will have him on soon to share it. After I had met him, he asked for prayer. His wife Jennifer was about to go into a very hard surgery. At the same time, they have to be out of their home by October 31. They have found an apartment but need help to get into it. She needs to rest from her heavy surgery and another one coming up. They are in a very serious situation. Mario and Jennifer are beautiful, mighty people of God. They are so rich in faith and purest love for Christ. Needless to say, they have been in prayer night and day for help. Mario reached out to me today and I knew it was the Lord without any shadow of doubt that I was to have them on. Mario and Jennifer share a powerful word of God even in their greatest trial and crisis. Please search your hearts and in prayer as well to give generously to them. They are our beautiful brother and sister in Christ and time is critical and of the utmost essence. Thank you for what your heart is led to give in Jesus name. God bless you in giving and give back to you a eternal-fold. "Oh, this is a reality, not a fable, that the Lord Jesus Christ is our friend. You may not know this yet, but Kristina Lawson and Jennifer Martinez are the future of law. Not in a way that introduces some new legal theory or innovation in code, but in a way a law firm is run. And not just as a secondary role, but as a full-time employee focused on these issues.Hanson Bridgett is trailblazing a path for others to follow, and its work is already receiving recognition throughout the industry. In this special episode, I got to talk with Jennifer Martinez; mother, daughter, friend and most importantly, my big sister. I was inspired to do a family episode after hearing former first lady Michelle Obama do an episode with her brother. In this episode, we dive into our upbringing, our move from Miami, FL to Paterson, NJ, and my sister's journey from being a teen mother and feeling like she grew up too fast due to the circumstances around our upbringing. This episode made me emotional and gave me a greater insight into my sister. Guest Bio: Jennifer Martinez wears many hats: mother, daughter, sister, friend, and manager. She has a 17-year old daughter who is at the center of her life and her driving motivation. Becoming a teen mom changed the trajectory of her life, having opted to drop out of school and receive her GED instead. Later she attended a vocational college for medical assisting, later working her way up to becoming an office manager for a medical company in Northern New Jersey. Most of us have it wrong when it comes to one of most essential resiliency practices, hydration. What is missing for most of us is trace mineral support which allows that pure, clean water to be absorbed on an intracellular level where it can be used, rather than excreted from the body. Proper hydration can be a literal mater of life and death in extreme cases, but on a day-to-day basis it is essential for peak performance mentally and physically. Our guest, Jennifer Martinez, has over 20 years in the fitness industry with a speciality in all things hydration. She's dedicated to helping the hero community and has a direct relationship to that community via her husband, a veteran police officer. You are going to love this show Heroes, enjoy!

Many who work in the Early Childhood Integrated Data Systems (ECIDS) field have experience engaging stakeholders in the planning of an ECIDS or an analytic tool. What a great first interview with the incredible Jennifer Martinez - aka J-Mar. Join me in this first interview with her where we get to know her a little bit and what she's all about. Our conversation today focuses in on parents coaching (from the stands at times) their student athletes. Some of the pressures that are put on young kids in school & travel sports. Jennifer also brings forth some great passion and energy for having God being a part of our everyday lives - which to me is a refreshing discussion that we don't have most of the time. You can find more out about her Fitness & Wellness Coaching business here: zerotimelifestyle.com on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/lifebyjmar/ and on Instagram: @jmarfit I really had a good time talking to her in this interview - please share this with anyone who might want to learn more about fitness & wellness with Jennifer along with the coaching & influencing we do with our kids; I would enjoy conversing about that with you. Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/coachtoexpectsuccess/ on Twitter: @coachtosuccess and on Instagram: @coachjohndaly While you are at it - leave me a 5 Star rating on ITunes so more people can find out about the topics that I am sharing with the world.
Our first interview guest is the Vice President of Lending at Guaranteed Rate Mortgage Jennifer Martinez. Jennifer has been in the mortgage lending industry for 17 years. She got involved early in her career because of her excellent math skills and her love of helping people achieve their goal of home ownership. The favorite part of her job is helping first time home buyers and veterans. Jennifer is also a physical fitness enthusiast and enjoys weekly bootcamp classes with her husband and three children. While she and Ed compare notes on their workout routines there might have been just a little smack talking. In her interview Jennifer shares her best tips on how home buyers should prepare to get a mortgage loan including what questions you should ask a prospective lender. She also explains why you have a 30 day period to shop for a mortgage without it affecting your credit score. Jennifer then describes the major differences between VA, FHA, and conventional mortgage loans. She also outlines the importance of documenting sources of down payment fund sources, especially if it is being gifted to you. We wrap up our chat with Jennifer with her tips for how to prepare for mortgage 6 months before you purchase your home including information about down payments, closing costs, and transfer taxes in Florida. For more information regarding mortgage loans you can contact Jennifer via phone, text, or email.
