Laughing Jack - is a malevolent spirit originating from a magical jack-in-the-box, designed to be a child's companion, but corrupted over time into a sadistic entity that preys on children, causing psychological and physical harm. Initially created to bring joy, he now embodies terror, using his twisted games and dark powers to inflict suffering. On this week's episode we are joined once again by the magnificent mister Tim Hacker, the creator of the Cryptic Chronicles Podcast to discuss what happens when the blood-thirsty memetic denizens of the internet suddenly manifest into the real world. We talk about how tulpas are formed and the lurid catastrophes they are capable of wreaking on their unlucky victims. We tell the true tale of the Philip Experiment, the multiple Slender Man stabbings and the true identity of the ghoulish Rake. In the extended episode we go even further and tell tales of the Black Eyed Children, the origins of Laughing Jack, Walking Sam and the smelly goatman of Pope Lick. Die Creepypasta "Laughing Jack" von SnuffBomb – zum Gruseln, Ablenken und Einschlafen. Vertont von Dr. Zargota. Die Vorgeschichte "The Origin of Laughing Jack" findet Ihr hier: https://spoti.fi/3UKXH54

Evidence photos @ https://talkmurder.com/laughing-jackOn the evening of July 23, 2015, police were dispatched to a small Elkhart Indiana apartment where a 12-year-old girl stabbed her stepmother to death and set the apartment ablaze. When the girl was questioned by police about her motive, she claimed that she was instructed to stab her mother by an imaginary clown-like ccharacter named ‘Laughing Jack'. The 12-year-old had learned of Laughing Jack by reading a Creepy Pasta story online.

It sounds crazy, but a woman in Moscow who went to bed playing Pokemon Go claims she woke up to find a Pokemon in her bed attempting to rape her. It sounds crazy, but a woman in Moscow who went to bed playing Pokemon Go claims she woke up to find a Pokemon in her bed attempting to rape her. One of my ancestral lines is Irish so Irish music has a special place in my heart, and the fact I've been to scotland, makes it that much more special. I was wondering if you had any suggestions for instrumental irish harp artists that specialize in jigs and reels. Slainte" Domenico Rossi emailed a photo: "Hi Marc! It's Domenico here, from Italy! I'm just listening to your podcast (ep. 517) while I'm finishing up details of my final thesis. You know how it works: each time you write even a single letter, images go everywhere, and you have to put them again in the correct place. And, of course, there always are small changes to do... and your wonderful podcast is here to help me! Since I've become a patreon some months ago I can hear the episodes some days before usual, and it's a great way to start the week! (or also finish it, by listening to them again and again!) Thanks for your work God bless you Slainte" Joe Christensen emailed: "Hi Marc. I've been listening and subscribing to your podcast for a long while. You have been, for a while now, asking what we are doing while we listen. I don't have a photo for you, but I am usually grading physics homework. Although they are unaware of it, I am quite sure the students appreciate that my mood is jaunty while I grade their work. Speaking of students, which is my actual reason for writing, during the pandemic, I have been recording and posting my lectures so that students who are in quarantine, are caring for others who are sick, or are simply cautious about bringing the virus home to others can keep up with my class. Inspired by my gratitude to you for diligently maintaining the practice of including timestamps in all of your show notes (I can't tell you how helpful that has been), I started time-stamping my 50-minute lectures. Many students have expressed to me their gratitude for my effort in that regard and I wanted to share that gratitude with you. Your patience and attention to detail has benefits not just for those of us who listen and buy music we hear, but also has secondary benefits to those your listeners also interact with. You are positively impacting in many ways. Speaking of that, I am also grateful whenever you stand up for the women of Irish music, the LGBT community, and your broader support of a variety of people and cultures. Thank you! Happy holidays. I hope you and your family are safe and healthy.”

The episode where we read our favorite Creepypasta stories! In case you've been living under a rock the past decade, Creepypasta are short horror stories created by people from all over the Internet. Sarah starts us off with “The Russian Sleep Experiment” with some sound effects produced by Lindsey and Boydston. You're welcome. Next is Lindsey with “Laughing Jack”, and he is pretty much what nightmares are made of. We find Boydston's next Halloween costume out of this story, so it's all good. Finally is Boydston with “Gateway of the Mind”, and the less said about this story going in, the better. We're gonna take a real weird detour about eyeballs here, so if eyes bother you as much as they do Lindsey, here's your warning. www.thetipsyghost.com Find us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok @thetipsyghost. Many Irish Americans were refugees. Hear how an Irish band is giving back to help refugees displaced from their native lands. How a little eavesdropping on a conversation led to a fun pub song and a round of beer for the band. Celebrate Star Wars Day with fun Jedi drinking songs. Welcome to Pub Songs & Stories. We get to know the region through its culture, history, and legends. You can join us with an auditory and visual adventure through podcasts and videos. We’re going to Scotland in 2022. Join the invasion at http://celticinvasion.com/ WHO'S PLAYING IN THE PUB TODAY 0:31 - “Lily the Pink” from Brobdingnagian Fairy Tales 4:09 - WELCOME -- One of the reasons I picked this song is because I’ve had a lot of requests for it over the past few years because of its popularity with the Brobdingnagian Bards. Now of course, Andrew McKee, my partner with the Bards sang the song. One of the other reasons why I picked this song was in case the Virtual Public House CD, volume 2 was a go. But first we gotta get to the Virtual Public House, maybe volume 1. -- The Celtfather Story… Last year, I hired my audio editor to edit this podcast. I already had Mitchell editing the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast. That’s been going for a while. But the Pub Songs Podcast has always had a lot more talking. And because there’s more talking, that also means there’s more editing to be done. Which means it’s more expensive to produce. I was trying to think of a way to either cut expenses or bring in more money when I realized in every show, I sing 2-3 songs. I should do something with them. And maybe if I publish an album, it will earn enough to fund the shows for each Quarter of the year. So that’s what I did. Virtual Public House is the name of my brand new album. You’ll get 23 tracks. All of the songs were recorded and performed during the first three months episodes of 2021 on Pub Songs & Stories. Every time you buy one of these CDs, it will help fund the show. If all goes well, I should have a new album to release each quarter highlighting songs from the previous quarter. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Let’s see what you think of THIS album. You can buy it in my store at MageRecords.com. If you are a member of the Gunn Runners Club, then you can even use your discount code to save on CD purchases. I thought about releasing this album on Vinyl. But unfortunately, it is far too long for that. And why do even bother mentioning vinyl? Well, on May 6, you will be able to buy As Long As I’m Flyin on vinyl. Yes. I am talking about a record. Like if you were talking about a record player. That’s exactly what I just did. I noticed my CD producer, Kunaki, now allows artists to sell vinyl records. I got all excited and decided to release my newest album. Then I realized, it’s been a while since I released a full production album. Anyway, you can find that in my Mage Record store. -- If you are not yet subscribed to the podcast, do so in your favorite podcatcher. You can find links to subscribe on our website at PubSong.com. I’d also love it if you would Post a review in Apple Podcasts. How does this show make you feel? I’d love your feedback. 8:34 - Laughing Jack Story: How a little eavesdropping on a conversation led to a fun pub song and a round of beer for the band. 11:45 - “I’m Not Irish” by Laughing Jack from Live at the Indy Folk Series 15:07 - Will and Jake Thorne Story: They share how Irish Americans were refugees and how they're giving back to help the millions of world-wide refugees currently displaced from their native lands. 17:28 - “Where the Wild Shamrocks Grow” by Turf Fire Liars from Long Memories Short Fuses 21:56 – Marc Gunn Story: What is Star Wars Day? Star Wars is on May 4. It celebrates George Lucas's Star Wars media franchise. The date was chosen for the pun on the catchphrase "May the Force be with you" as "May the Fourth be with you". Even though the holiday was not created or declared by Lucasfilm, many Star Wars fans across the world have chosen to celebrate the holiday. You find the full history of Star Wars Day on Wikipedia. 23:05 - “Jedi Drinking Song” from Brobdingnagian Fairy Tales -- New Irish & Celtic Song Lyrics. I’m working on putting the promised song stories together for you - I’ll send something your way within a couple days. Thanks again, and sláinte!!!! Sean" Dillon Dise from Westfield, NY emailed a photo from 498: "I've been listening to the podcast for a couple years, but haven't yet emailed a picture of what I'm doing while listening, so here ya go. I prune vineyards through the winter in the rain, sun, wind and snow. This season I have already cut back over 6,000 individual vines. As the Celtic Spring comes on strong the smell of life is in the air, the snow is melting and the ice breaking up. At the top of the hill I look out onto Lake Erie, so the Sea Shanties episode was most appropriate in getting me excited to be back out on the water. Thanks for all the great tunes!"

I listen to your podcast while running and absolutely love it. Keeps me calm, as running can be quite tough in the hills of wales! I particularly love the Andrew Mcmanus song searching for the sun on elisode 493, but cant seem to find it anywhere to download. Anyway, thank you so much for your music, you will never realise just how much it means to me and i look forward to every thursday when i can download and listen! He’s on Facebook under “That Irish Guy”. I can across him randomly and thought I’d share!" Daniel Flowerdew emailed a question: "Hello ?? first I wanted to say I have been listening to your podcast since the early 2000’s. I have always enjoyed it and have found a ton of great music through it! One of which I am trying to find! I wanted to contact you to see if you could help. It was maaaaaaany years ago. I believe it was something like “Wandering Mary” ? It was about a woman that waited by the shore for her William, eventually joined a ship crew, found him cheating on her so she shot him and then became a pirate. Maybe “Dreaded Mary” ? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for all of the great tunes and humor throughout the years." I don't really have time to help people find songs. But I threw out a few suggestions and eventually figured out he was looking for "Devilish Mary" by The Whiskey Bards. That was in episode #40 from 2007. If there is a song you're looking for, you should definitely check out the Irish & Celtic Music Club on Facebook. It's a great resource for finding more Celtic music. And there are a lot of listeners who are a part of the group.

One thing you’ll learn in this episode is that I hate horror movies. I know, I know. It’s blasphemous. But, it’s also true. However, I absolutely love creepypasta stories. In case you’re not familiar with what creepypastas are, they’re basically short horror stories. In this episode, I do a (rather mortifying) reading of my favorite creepypasta, Laughing Jack, and I also briefly talk about two of my other favorites; Ben Drowned and suicidemouse.avi. In our end segment for this episode, I provide a shocking update to a local investigation into the murder of 11-year-old Gannon Stauch. We believe in giving credit where credit is due. Jim Barfield of the Copper Scroll Project has agreed to take our group on a tour of Qumran, which is where he believes the Copper Scroll points to the burial sites of the treasures of Solomon's Temple! Not surprisingly, her husband and the police think she's crazy. But in Japan, a growing number of people are convinced that their pets can see the Pokemon showing on their augmented reality video screens. Considering the time and money government agencies have devoted to developing systems to weaponize the occult, and the recent murder and attempted murder cases against teens convinced that Slenderman and Laughing Jack are real, is this really as crazy as it sounds?
