A FlyDubai jet full of Israelis was supposed to land in Tel Aviv. The co-pilot stabbed the captain instead. The plane plunged thousands of feet. Passengers had to break into the cockpit to stop it. Wednesday morning, FlyDubai flight FZ1073 left Dubai for Tel Aviv with about 174 people on board, most of them Israelis. At cruise altitude, near 34,000 feet, the co-pilot stabbed Captain Smit Machchhar. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the attacker apparently tried to crash the plane with the passengers on board. The Boeing 737 dropped thousands of feet — some flight data put the fall around 17,000 to 18,000 feet — sent a 7700 emergency squawk, and turned for Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. Israeli fighter jets were scrambled. Airspace was briefly closed. A man trusted with the controls of a commercial flight to Israel allegedly used that access to try to kill the people in the back. Pat also covered: Trump says the last U.S. troops are out of Iraq. The Pentagon calls the Erbil pullout done, and Trump brands the war a “quagmire” and an “excursion into hell.” Tennessee failed to execute Christa Pike, the only woman on its death row, after two doses of pentobarbital. Vice President JD Vance says James Talarico wears Christianity as a "skin suit" to get elected. A Rasmussen/Our Republic poll found 19% of likely voters would accept a deal that dismantles Israel if oil and gas prices get cut. Controversy: Sophie Cunningham gets fouled by A'ja Wilson in Game 2, a Fever fan pointed and said, "That's on you," and Wilson marched into the stands and drew a technical. Historically, Christians have favored burial. That practice was not accidental. Burial reflects the biblical pattern of honoring the body, treating death with gravity, and looking forward to the resurrection. In Scripture, the body is not treated as disposable. At the same time, the Bible does not give a direct command that Christians must be buried or that cremation is sinful. Josh and Sam discuss this question on today's episode.
