She is still haunted by dreams of a violent assassination. Despite her mortal grudge against Skywalker, Mara was forced to help him escape Imperial capture on Myrkr.Thrawn tricked Mara into leading his flagship straight to Karrde's hiding place. While aboard, Mara used hardwired access codes to get information that would aid her in freeing Karrde and find the one person she thinks can help her: Skywalker.Luke has come to Jormark to submit to the teachings of a presumed Jedi Master, hoping to gain knowledge to help rebuild the Jedi Order. He both feels his own studies are incomplete, and is intimidated by the task of passing this knowledge on to a new generation of Jedi. Already, his efforts to teach Leia highlight the these difficulties. They both seem the target of multiple Imperial abductions and have been forced into the defensive.Master C'baoth is not the exemplary Jedi that he would have hoped to find, and Luke finds it hard to accept his philosophy. Under almost constant fatigue and after another disappointing instruction, Luke is sent by C'baoth to his chambers, so that the older Jedi may surreptitiously repel an inbound Mara.## Chapter 21 ##With the repulsorlift damaged, Mara stabilises the Skipray in a controlled glide. Activating the sublight drive at the last minute, she puts her craft down in the crags of the mountain, though not as close to the summit as she would have liked. She shoulders her ysalamir and begins to ascend the mountainside. She doesn't make it two metres before R2-D2 intercepts her in Luke's X-Wing. Sliding back down to the Skipray, she tells R2 that she has come to warn Luke of C'baoth's allegiance to the Empire, and the droid agrees to take her the rest of the way up.In a clearing at the edge of the mountaintop castle, the mad Jedi Master is waiting. C'baoth wants to keep Luke to himself, but Mara feels confident to take him under the protective bubble of her ysalamir and with C'baoth at blasterpoint. C'baoth boasts of his prophetic power, gloating that one day Mara will submit herself to him willingly.Allerted by a disturbance in the Force, Luke arrives. Luke doesn't seem to need convincing to help Mara in her quest to release Karrde. C'baoth dismisses Mara's intentions, belabouring the grand importance of his mentorship. Seeing Luke's tiredness, she moves closer — and as the bubble of the ysalamir's influence covers Luke, he awakens from the influence of the Jedi Masters.The mad Jedi lashes out to subdue his would-be mentees, but in the ensuing clash, Luke's X-wing is forgotten and R2-D2 uses the laser cannons to knock the Jedi Master unconscious. While Mara wants to execute the treacherous old Jedi, Luke stays her hand. Chapter 14 of Star Wars: Heir to the Empire (1991) (EU: 9 ABY) by Timothy Zahn. The Story So FarGrand Admiral Thrawn is leading the Imperial remnants from the shadows in a grand plan to destroy the New Republic and re-establish the Galactic Empire. He commands a raid on the Athega System just as Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa-Solo, Han Solo, and Chewbacca arrive looking to garner help from Lando Calrissian. During the skirmish, the imperials make away with mining equipment and the Dark Jedi clone commanding Thrawn's fleet, Jaruus C'baoth, takes the opportunity to make contact with Luke. Thrawn is none too pleased to learn of this contact and plots with Captain Pallaeon to disillusion C'baoth of his self-importance and impetuousness. Chapter 14Lando is distraught at the loss of half his workforce — 51 mole miners stolen — in the raid! Han and Leia ask for help, and a plan is devised to send Leia to Kashyyyk with Chewbacca while Han and Lando broadcast decoy signals giving the illusion that Leia is still on the run. In order to achieve this, in a violation of his programming, C-3PO has his voice altered to perfectly imitate Leia's. Luke shares his findings from Dagobah; what Lando identifies as a Beckon Call — a device that summons a slave-ciruit-rigged ship at a moment's notice. He later confides in Leia his true reason for searching that specific location and tells her about the contact he had during the space battle earlier. Minha convidada de hoje é uma mulher de muito fôlego. A infância acompanhando o pai em suas pescarias desenvolveu nela uma relação especial com o mar. Mas foi somente aos 28 anos que ela inicia uma carreira que duraria quase duas décadas. Ao longo desses anos, ela conquistou nada mais nada menos que 8 recordes mundiais, 2 continentais, 30 sul-americanos e 6 brasileiros. Além de ter sido a primeira mergulhadora brasileira a conquistar recordes mundiais para o país, se tornou recordista absoluta em número de recordes mundiais alcançados. Dentre seus feitos, em 2009 se tornou o ser humano com o maior tempo de apneia no mundo, com a marca de 18'32”, escrevendo seu nome no famoso livro dos recordes, o Guinness. Ela também mergulhou 121m de profundidade numa categoria ironicamente chamada de No Limits.  Já o seu contato com o ciclismo veio em 2016, motivado pelo marido que participava de grupos de pedal na capital catarinense. Apesar de um começo doído, não lhe faltaram vontade e fôlego. Após seis meses da sua primeira pedalada, lá estava ela, na linha de largada da famosa Brasil Ride, competição de mountain bike em 7 etapas. O gosto foi tamanho, que ela deixou o mergulho para as horas de lazer e passou a se dedicar às duas rodas. Ao lado da sua dupla de vida, o marido e bombeiro Tiago, ela voltou à Bahia para mais duas edições da prova de ciclismo mais temida do Brasil. Sua dedicação e empenho, aliado às técnicas milenares de respiração, a levariam muito mais longe do que poderia prever e passou também a competir em provas de ciclismo de estrada. Em 2019 integrou a equipe que sagrou-se campeã do Tour do Uruguai e, em 2021, foi Campeã Brasileira da prova Contra o Relógio e de Estrada na categoria Master-C. Além de atleta, ela atua em diversas áreas, de palestras à cursos,  sempre ligada à preservação dos ocêanos, desenvolvendo diversas atividades como palestrante, instrutora de ioga, instrutora de mergulho livre, madrinha do Projeto Baleia Franca, almirante Sea Shepherd e instrutora do método Oxygen Advantage.
