In this episode of The Healers Café, Manon Bolliger, FCAH, RBHT (facilitator and retired naturopath with 30+ years of practice) speaks with Liz Fisher about how tapping therapy can help in addressing emotional obstacles to reshape the subconscious mind. Liz offers personal anecdotes and useful advice for integrating these practices into everyday routines. For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/liz-fisher Highlights from today's episode include: Liz Fisher And it's, it's hard to get to the main, the root of the problem without being specific. So the more you know about the condition, or you know, the better it is. Liz Fisher That's very specific part of me feels like I can't let go of this. It feels like a good friend. It feels like something I've known my whole life, it would be very uncomfortable. Okay, so we can tap on that. But that might not clear the problem. And how that works is we would know if that's the main core issue, or if there are other aspects that come up around that. Liz Fisher There isn't a, you know, the same answer for everyone. But it works kind of in layers. It's like peeling an onion. So whenever comes up, then we work on it. It might take four sessions for someone it might take, you know, a year, everyone's different. 5 days after giving birth at home - fashion stylist Justine King joins me to share her gorgeous natural home birth story. Making this empowered choice to birth at home wasn't by accident - but an instinct that grew following her first lockdown baby - and his restricted birth. Instead this was within her control, within her safe 4 walls and within her capacity as she stretched her inner belief and goddess to meet her baby.Hosted by Sinead O'Moore Get in touch at @stretchmarkspodcast I'd love to hear from you. This episode is kindly supported by Carriwell - available from Cleverclogs.ie Hosted on Acast. As this podcast goes to air, we just moved through the first of the Super New Moons coming in. It was in Aquarius and it also opened us up to the Lunar New Year, Year of the Dragon which I talked all about in last week's episode. I offered a channeled meditation to help you align your energies with this. As the intensity begins to decrease a little, you might notice your inspiration does, too. There is a lot of chaos in the world, creating feelings of isolation and loneliness. This creates a depressed state in the energy field. We are in the depths of winter, yet an awakening is starting to happen. You may be feeling this transition within you. Sometimes it shows up as fear… as lack.. creating this isolation. This is the hardest of seasonal transitions. I know for me.. I have been there in feeling lonely. One of the ways I handle these feelings is by taking care of myself. Putting time and attention into my body, my diet, my habits.. meditaiton…breathing.. breathing is so important. I took it for granted for so long but it is the root of our excitense. This is where you can go to shift the memory of the patterns stored in your brain. It brings me back to the source of who you are the I am energy.… If you feel you are down or have been hard on yourself, now is the time to connect with your higher self and break up this old pattern. The energy we are in now will encourage you to turn this self-defeating energy around. There is a lot of new light to connect with to help you reinforce your 2024 visions. It's not a time to rush, but to ease into this transition… finding a slow and steady discipline will add up to bigger changes as Spring approaches. So… maybe are feeling a deep loneliness within yourself. It's ok. Winter pulls the soul deep. It naturally wants to hibernate, yet there begins a yearning to return to the world. This is where we are right now. Just know with all the outside forces, the shiny objects, you can struggle with the inspiration to to empower yourself. Know that you are not alone in these feelings. Many are also in this bubble of isolation, creating separation from the Soul. Finding ways to connect with your inner light is key. The feelings don't define you. Look at it as a temporary state that allows you to do some deep work with the darkness that you feel. We all have shadows. Name your shadow. My teacher, Rita Rivera Fox, a great nagua, teacher of the dream world, asked me if I had a name for this shadow that kept showing up. To be vulnerable, I have this energy that shows up sometimes right before I fall asleep. I start crying. I let her cry, but … what's underneath? Call it up. There is such great teaching here instead of perpetuating the pattern. So I gave her a name. Now, if you are from the south, you will get this. Her name is “Bless her Heart”. So now, at night, when she shows up to pull my day down, I recognize her. There she is “Bless her Heart”… I offer her gratitude. The pattern is easing. The humor is priceless. Yes, My experience shows me that these deep lonely feelings can teach you that it is time to connect you. Maybe it is time for a spiritual massage like Reiki. t's time to stop searching out there and find the heart of who you are. I do have just the think to help with all of this. You are invited to my first Energy Mastery Virtual Retreat - Saturday - Feb 24th 1pm-4pm - (It's a full moon.) Radiate Confidence: Cultivating Inner Power to Open up to the Spring. The Natural Home - She is a witchcrafter.. one who likes to use her hands, recycle objects, and add magic to everything she creates. In this episode we talk about what a witchcrafter is, celebrating the wheel of life, creativity and how we are all creative, letting go of judgement, confidence that can come forward, and lifting our energy by adding spark and magic. Visit her on Instagram: @idiorhythmic Website Books Creativity is the act of creating, which is what's important. It isn't the outcome. Everyone is creative. It is that spark that is in each of us, just like the witch energy that we can tap into. It doesn't have to be perfect. Just... Express yourself. As Raechel says, "Just by getting in tap with your creativity, it causes you to get in touch with your self-confidence, and by expressing your creativity, you are expressing your Soul. It can bre scary. But more often than not, you will feel better.. do the process. Dont' get caught up in the outcome. That connection does empower your soul. Add some magic into your life! Happy Monday Friend I am gearing up to make large batches of some of my soaps, lotions, laundry detergent, scent booster, stain removers, and I thought I would let you know how much money you can save by making your own products along with how much safer they are compared to anything at the store. I think of all the money I spent for years on products like dawn dishsoap, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, and so many other items that I could make myself for a fraction of the price and am so thankful I learned about what they were doing to my health about 20 years ago. I make my products in bulk because I don't do it very often so I make large batches! It takes very little time to make a large amount of products and uses such few ingredients that anyone can make these. Today I want to talk about a few of my favorite ingredients when making my supplies. White Vinegar Castile Soap Baking Soda Washing Soda Coconut Oil Essential Oils Start out with a few items so you dont get overwhelmed. You will be amazed how easy it really is! I have a free non toxic cleaning recipe guide on my website to help you get started quickly and they are all super simple. Go to claimingsimplicity.com and get your free recipes and I have many many more recipes, so if there is something else you need a recipe for, just let me know!!!!!! Today's guests are Warren Downey Group CEO and Lee Anderson, Group Deputy CEO of UK-headquartered intermediary Specialist Risk Group (SRG). Warren was last on the show as part of two very early Special Episodes that SRG sponsored over three years ago. Back then SRG was just about to get a new private equity backer in the form of HGGC. Since that change of ownership the growth has been impressive, with SRG increasing its intermediated premium threefold via a combination of organic and inorganic growth. So far this makes SRG sound like it is treading a well-worn path of PE-backed consolidation, but that would be to fundamentally misunderstand what Warren and Lee are trying to do with this singular organisation. SRG is a fast-growing broking and MGA platform with very high ambitions, but it is in no way a conventional scale-up play on the hunt for market leverage and cost removal. SRG is best described as a growing collection of very specialist businesses that are all operating in niches where it is the depth of its specialist knowledge and relevance to very specific markets and not its scale that allows it to compete. Warren and Lee are a brilliant double act and this is a fascinating and fun insight into a broking group that is building something intentionally different and going out of its way to do unexpected and surprising things. From being agnostic about channels to market, doing M&A differently, running a shadow board or giving staff access to accelerated management programmes and share ownership, there is a huge amount to admire in what this duo is trying to achieve. So listen on – Warren and Lee talk about preferring to show people what they have already done as opposed to telling them what exciting, but as yet unexecuted, plans they have for the future and this podcast is full to the brim of excellent examples. And on a personal note I don't think I have had a more fun, lively and down-to-earth duo on the podcast in a very long time – the time will fly by. NOTES: Warren refers to growth to 600 million in premium volume. That's in £ pounds, or $785mn in US Dollars. He was fortunate to work with well-known architects Richard Mogas and Joe Stubblefield who mentored him for several years. Under their tutelage, he developed a keen appreciation for utilizing regionally appropriate natural materials which has imbued his work with a distinctively central Texas flare. This background reinforces the Barley|Pfeiffer Architecture commitment to the number one premise of sustainable architecture – regionally appropriate design.Alan continued his education at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 1985 with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree. To add depth to his commercial experience, Alan joined the Austin Group Architects in 1986 where he helped design and produce several commercial offices, warehouse structures, business parks, and apartment complexes. He was one of the principal designers in the Cedar Park City Hall competition, winning first place.Venturing on his own in 1987, Alan completed projects for noted games software designer Richard Garriott, and the World of Pentecost Sanctuary expansion. Hey! So why would you want to have a more natural home? I did not know when I was a young mom of all the toxins in soaps and cleaning supplies, plastics and so many other supplies I used every single day. The fact is……I am still learning! I noticed a big difference in going from mostly natural to being in contact with things I wouldn't normally use. I have used natural cleaning supplies for many years, but I have been really trying to change over my whole home slowly but surely-as soon as something runs out, I try to find a natural way to make it-sometimes we like the first recipe and sometimes I have to go through many recipes to find a product we love. Here are some of the simple things I did in the beginning that saved me alot of money. One of the first things I did and easiest things you can change is your multipurpose cleaner. This would be how I clean bathrooms, counter tops and really almost anything! I have 2 really good recipes. One of them, I mix equal parts of white vinegar and water and add a high quality refreshing essential oil. Be very careful to use a quality essential oil as most on the market are not pure. Being a nurse, I had to have the details, so I have done the research and I can give you my recommendations if you want them. I will have a link in the description, but feel free to email me as well! This multipurpose spray should be handy in each bathroom so you can easily clean as you need to. If you don't keep one in each room, If you are like me, you might go into a different room and totally forget you were grabbing a bottle of spray!!!!!!! The other recipe uses on guard and I like to keep this in the kitchen for all surfaces. You will use these sprays all the time and it is a fraction of the price of cleaners in the store and works alot better! The next thing I did was remove all candles and air fresheners that were not natural-do you know how bad it is to breathe those in? Even the sprays that say 100% essential oil is not true because there is no regulation of them, so get rid of them so your family isn't inhaling those toxins into their lungs! I used to use the plug in or renuzit air fresheners around my house thinking that my house smelled better, but it makes me wonder now if that is why my kids were sick with colds and ear infections so much when they were young. I am more sensitive now to toxins because of the natural environment I have created, so many times I can notice them right away in someone else's home! My eyes now water when I enter a garage or home that uses these toxic air freshners~so if you think it is helping your place smell better, think of what it is doing to your lungs and everyone that enters! I have noticed that many of the big stores such as Target that call their products natural just have really good marketing strategies to let people think the products are pure, but are not any healthier than the ones that are not labeled natural or 100% and that is why I make my own. I know exactly what is in them. I certainly love a great smelling home, so I have several favorite diffuser going throughout the day. My favorite are happy and energizing aromas, I love the fall and Christmas smells during those seasons, and when I have alot of work I need to focus on a large project or something, I have a diffuser with oils that help with that. So many that I love! And the 3rd simple change we made was using a natural laundry detergent. We actually make our own so we know what is in it. If you are using any detergent or fabric softener that is not pure, you are letting the toxins soak into your skin and your kids skin every single day! Do the research for yourself because I wish I would have known all this information years ago-it wasn't until our older kids were probably around 10 when I changed over, so it has been many many years and the detergent works really well. I did stop for a while because I was using a shredded felz napa bar soap and it ended up clogging up my HE washer. I then went to a free and clear from the store for a short time, but as I was spending so much more money, I decided to look for another option and now I use a detergent that I absolutely love, it doesn't use bar soap so it doesn't clog the hose and it smells so so fresh! The ability to breath is one of those things that we take for granted until we are not able to do it on our own. In our defense our breathing is controlled by the autonomic nervous system so we don't have to think about breathing. It is only when we have a lung ailment and have to struggle to breath does it become apparent. I will be discussing common lung problems. In addition I will cover exercises and simple things that we can do on our own to improve lung function. Then I will be finishing up by talking about foods that we can eat to keep our lungs in the best condition possible. Today on The Natural Birth Podcast we have Carla. Carla is a mama of one from Brazil who's currently living with her Hungarian husband in Berlin, Germany. She is a Soprano committed to her psycho-spiritual growth through transpersonal therapy and shamanic work. When Carla fell pregnant she knew she wanted to break the cultural norm in Brazil of having a c-section. Brazils c-section rate is more than a whopping 55%. The WHO recommends to not exceed 10% and the global rate is 21%! Carla wanted to bring her baby earth side in the most gentle and natural way. So she booked in with a home birth midwife and was also planning on hiring a doula, but the midwife didn't want her too. She said she works alone and that she likes to support women just as deeply as a doula does. In the end Carla had an empowering, fast, natural birth at home with a champion of a supportive husband all the way through. However, as you will hear in her story, she didn't get the supportive midwife that she hoped for. Carla's story shows that preparation and following your own inner voice and intuition is key in having an empowering birth experience. Curious about Carla?
