Don't fear my first words, this is Garden Views. My guest is Edo Van Belkhom has been a working writer. He's been compared to Stephen King. He won the Bram Stoker award once and was nominated another time. He's won the Canadian Aurora Award. There are others. he wrote erotica and stories for truckers supported by the trucking industry (yes, 2 different gigs). Some of his works were adapted for a television series starring Sarah Michelle Geller. He's almost been a household name more than once. Maybe he still will be. His compedium of short stories is being re-published to celebrate its 25 year anniversary. I started down the Doom road as I expected to focus on the horrors of his imagination. We touched on those of course. But the real tale was his. A writer, working and toiling, and having success in a variety of places, while just missing the big score.

Edo's Nugget of Hope, "You need 3 things to succeed: Talent, Perseverance, and Luck. Any two of the three will get you there if you keep going." Books written years ago turn into the inspiration for a TV Series on Paramot+, attending the Red Carpet event for the premiere and how writing changed his life. BIO Edo van Belkom is a Canadian author of some 35 books and over 300 short stories in the genres of horror, science fiction, fantasy and mystery. His short fiction has been published in countless anthologies such as Year's Best Horror Stories, Year's Best Erotica, Robert Bloch's Psychos, the Hot Blood and Shock Rock series, as well as several anthologies based on RPGs. His stories "Rat Food" (with David Nickle) won the Bram Stoker Award from the Horror Writers Association, and "Hockey's Night in Canada" won the Aurora, Canada's top prize for speculative fiction. More recently, his young adult series Wolf Pack has served as the inspiration for the new Jeff Davis supernatural TV series Wolf Pack starring Sarah Michelle Geller, which premiered on Paramount-Plus on January 26th in Canada and the US, and the next day across the rest of the world. As of this recording, Episode 7 of the Wolf Pack Series was airing. Welcome to SFP-NOW and our new TV reviews show that we'll be looking to roll out every two weeks. For this series, Ian Cullen is joined by Marx Pyle of GenreTainment to discuss episodes of various genre television shows. This week's episode takes a look at episode three of The Last Of Us, which seemed to stir up mixed reviews from fans of the game versus those fans that have just tuned in for the series. Get our views on the Bob and Frank storyline. Also, we have a look at the new Netflix Series Lockwood & Co, which is somewhat of a surprise package with its story of an alternate future in which ghosts are a very common occurrence, but can only be hunted down by teenagers. Staying on the theme of supernatural series we also take a look at the new Paramount Plus series Wolf Pack, which is somewhat of a comeback for Buffy's Sarah Michelle Geller who interestingly doesn't have a huge role in the show's pilot episode. Moving from horror. We jump to some time travel for some fast and dirty comments on the new Quantum Leap series and the episode titled Leap. Die. Repeat. which kind of played out a little like Groundhog Day. And Finally, Marx talks about his recent experience of being a panelist on a massive Buffy The Vampire Slayer Rewatch and talks a little about what he considers to be the best episodes of the show's fourth season.

Vi pratar också om: The Thing from Another World, The Ring, A Tale of Two Sisters, Takashi Shimizu, Sam Raimi, Aterrados, Veronica Franz, Sarah Michelle Geller, Clea Duvall, Bill Pullman, Laura Palmer, Naomi Watts, Robert Tappert, Christopher Young, Låt den rätte komma in, Dark Water, Kim Jee-Woon, I Saw the Devil, Bröderna Grimm, bröderna Guard (nej, de lär inte ha riktigt samma status om 150 år), Emily Browning, Handen som gungar vaggan, Fight Club, High Fidelity, Trainspotting, Todd Solondz, Welcome to the Dollhouse och Philip Glass. Patreon-lyssnare avnjuter dubbel speltid där samtalet fortsätter med fokus på The Eye (nej!) och Shutter (ja!). Nostalgi, löst tyckande och akademisk analys.

Just in time for summer, Dr. Dan interviews Michelle Lang (swim instructor to the stars and so much more!) about swimming, water safety, empowered living, and much more in this timely interview. Did you know drowning is the number one cause of accidental death for kids ages 1-4? Did you also know drowning is -- in most cases -- totally preventable? Michelle Lang, author of the new book A MERMAID’S GUIDE: Empower Your Child in Water and in Life, tells Dr. Dan and the Parent Footprint podcast listeners how to keep children safe this summer (and anytime kids are around water). Dr. Dan and Michelle discuss the Relaxation Based Swimming Method, the three phases of swimming, how to be a better swimmer at any age, Michelle’s Golden Rules, and the lessons swimming can teach us all about life and success. Michelle travels the globe teaching kids how to swim and has given over 10,000 swim lessons (including lessons to Kim Kardashian’s children as well as Simon Cowell’s and Sarah Michelle Geller’s!). Her tips and calm approach to swimming will allow all families to enjoy a summer without anxiety and fear about drowning. There are so many life lessons from today’s interview (useful both inside and outside of the water) listeners will take away many lessons from today’s show about topics ranging from water safety, anxiety, empowerment, courage, awareness, to how to “Be The Buddha” in your life! The show ends with Michelle’s wonderful and inspiring Parent Footprint Moment. Author Michelle Lang is a modern spiritualist, certified Reiki practitioner, black belt martial artist and childhood swim prodigy. Michelle is a thought leader when it comes to keeping your sanity while giving your child the tools they need to achieve greatness. Her work goes beyond the pool! Michelle graduated from Northwestern University before moving to Los Angeles. She used her prestigious education, training from the American Red Cross, and experience teaching over ten thousand swim lessons to create her highly effective and revolutionary method, RELAXATION BASED SWIMMING. Michelle works with Hollywood's biggest celebrities and travels internationally teaching lessons and educating parents about what they can do to help their child succeed, both in water and in life. Michelle's husband, Ian Nelms, is a critically acclaimed filmmaker and co-creator of Relaxation Based Swimming. Michelle and Ian live with their two children in Los Angeles. The latest epsidoe of Eat! Drink! Smoke! has Tony Katz wondering why Monica Lewinsky is back in the news? Also, the migrant caravan has been turned into a political football, and that helps no one. In the Found *NSYNC Fan Fiction Radio Hour, we chronologically read aloud pages of an anonymous author's *NSYNC fan fiction, from a binder found at a thrift store. In this episode we welcome a guest! Sarah, who found the binder that we read from! The script today provides a real roller coaster of an episode, where Kelly receives a letter from her ex (delivered via Sarah Michelle Geller) with an update about how he has moved on but can never forget her. Then there is blood, a hospital and a major impulse buy. Also in this episode: tumeric tea, getting the chocolate the fuck out of the peanut butter, the theme to Proud Family, actress/January 1999 Playmate Jaime Bergman, the casualness with which famous names are thrown around, spontaneously erupting into songs from Sister Act, slant rhymes being only for people who are confident, a voice that is the bridge between sad puppy and Nixon, the inability to tell the difference between a four month old baby and four month old fetus, Back To the Shit by Millie Jackson. Mr. Pointy Slayer of the Vampire Oooohhhh it is October a month filled with ghouls and goblins! To kick off the month Johnny and Brian are taking a trip to the Hellmouth, no not Cleveland, but the bright and sunny and seemingly never-ending town of Sunnydale. That's right, the guys are talking Buffy the Vampire Slayers and all the Scooby Gang goodness that goes along with this geek staples of the early 2000's. They also share their thoughts on the latest Netflix smash hit Marvel’s Luke Cage! Buffy The Vampire Slayers (1997) Synopsis Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an American television series created by Joss Whedon under his production tag, Mutant Enemy Productions with later co-executive producers being Jane Espenson, David Fury, David Greenwalt, Doug Petrie, Marti Noxon, and David Solomon. The series premiered on March 10, 1997, on The WB and concluded on May 20, 2003, on UPN. The series narrative follows Buffy Summers (played by Sarah Michelle Gellar), the latest in a line of young women known as “Vampire Slayers”, or simply “Slayers”. As Buffy The Vampire Slayer celebrates her 18th birthday as a TV show, Andrew looks at the first season of the show. With commentary on every episode, your host attempts to look at the first year of what would become one of the most celebrated genre shows on TV but that started as a joke show based on a failed movie airing on a fledgling network and consider why it made such a splash. With a no name cast, an untried showrunner and a goofy premise, Buffy would slay all naysayers by being witty, clever and emotionally charged. So step back to the late 90's as Andrew looks at the show once described as 'My So Called Life with vampires'.Feedback for this show can be sent to: heykidscomics@virginmedia.com

Watching the television series called Ringer with the actress Sarah Michelle Geller in it, it seems to be a low-budget series and there are one or two holes in the script. Why is it that women of a certain age turn into Crazy Cat Ladies and have the constant urge to feed all of the wild animals in the district? Mother-in-law's, neighbours and women at the campsite all want to feed the poor little kittens, pigeons and other vermin. I followed a YouTube tutorial showing me how to root my Nexus 7, it really wasn't too difficult. I rooted it so that I could use some software that wouldn't work otherwise, although I have to admit is not working terribly well at the moment. It seems that I have a little bit more twiddling and fiddling to do.
