The chronology takes us to 1994 in this episode during a time where there were no act in the world bigger than Pearl Jam... outside of maybe Ace Of Base. Coming off of the release of Vs., the band continued to struggle with their rising stardom. Tickets for their shows were in such high demand, yet the band wasn't quite ready to take on bigger venues to hold the capacity crowds that wanted to experience them. This episode focuses on a show from Miami where the capacity issues reach a boiling point and led to fences being broken down, fans rushing the stage and arrests being made. For an 8,000 seat venue, an alleged 24,000 got through to see the show. On top of that, the band was unhappy because the venue featured corporate sponsorship signs that they demanded be covered up. It took the band an hour before they took the stage, which could have added to some of the commotion going on outside the gates, but when they started playing, you could sense a real anger and frustration in their tone. There's a moment where they needed to have a fan kicked out for being too dangerous in the pit. That emotion is what motivated them throughout the night as songs like Blood, Deep, Porch, Not For You and State Of Love And Trust brought intensity to what was already a tumultuous evening. We'll also talk about the beginning of their battle against Ticketmaster service fees and how maybe our only hope in our current environment is... Kid Rock... kill me. Send us a message! Really!Jason had to take another emergency trip, this time to Greenland to help negotiate the surrender of Rebel Penguin Separatists to the Kingdom of Denmark, so this week you've just got Ian interviewing Hetal Doshi, candidate for the Democratic nomination for Attorney General of Colorado in 2026. We'll be back for an even bigger pod this Friday. Hetal Doshi is a first-generation American and former senior officer at the U.S. Department of Justice. She has more than two decades of experience fighting and winning some of the biggest legal battles, including her work as a federal prosecutor in Colorado and as the top anti-monopoly litigator in the Biden-Harris Administration. She led landmark cases against some of the world's most powerful corporations including Google, Apple, and Ticketmaster, while also prosecuting corrupt government officials and scammers who targeted hard working Coloradans.Hetal has dedicated her career to seeking justice — not politics. She's led big teams that have taken on the powerful and defended our rights in court. As a proven leader, Hetal is running for Attorney General to make sure our streets are safe, the economy is fair, and that every Coloradan's rights are respected. She will defend Colorado from federal overreach, take on monopolies that drive up costs for necessities, crack down on scammers and fraudsters, and fiercely protect the rights, freedoms, and natural environment that are the birthright of every Coloradan. You can learn more about her campaign at https://www.hetaldoshiforag.com/ That's it for this episode! If you loved watching and/or listening to it as much as we loved recording it, you can thank us by subscribing to the pod wherever you listen, following us over on New Old Twitter AKA Bluesky, subscribing to our shiny new channel on YouTube, smashing that subscribe button on our Substack, and sharing this episode with your friends, your enemies, and your 8th favorite Member of Congress from Colorado! Join Here: https://ow.ly/msoH50WCu0KIn the Notorious Mass Effect segment, Analytic Dreamz breaks down Don Toliver's explosive 2026 launch with his fifth studio album OCTANE, released January 30, 2026, via Cactus Jack, Atlantic Records, and Donnway & Co.The Houston rapper—born Caleb Zackery Toliver, June 12, 1994—builds on his psychedelic trap-R&B signature, influenced by Bobby Womack and Pharrell. After breakout mixtape Donny Womack (2018), Astroworld feature on "Can't Say," viral "No Idea" (#43 Hot 100 peak), and hits like "Lemonade," OCTANE follows Hardstone Psycho (2024) with 18 tracks including "E85," "Body" (sampling Justin Timberlake's "Rock Your Body" with Travis Scott co-production), "Rendezvous" (ft. Yeat), "Secondhand" (ft. Rema), "Tiramisu," and "ATM." Early buzz highlights the nostalgic Timberlake flip, visualizers, and high-energy, experimental production inspired by LA drives and creative immersion. With no chart data yet on release day, Toliver's streaming momentum positions OCTANE for strong Billboard Hot 100 and R&B impact, echoing prior successes.Adding to the momentum, Don Toliver headlines Summerfest 2026's American Family Insurance Amphitheater on June 19 in Milwaukee—his first time headlining the world's largest music festival—with special guests SahBabii, Che, SoFayGo, sosocamo, Chase B, and Lelo. Tickets went on sale January 30 at 10:00 a.m. via summerfest.com and Ticketmaster, including general admission. The lineup features other amphitheater headliners like Garth Brooks (June 16-17), Megan Moroney (June 18), Ed Sheeran (June 25), Post Malone (June 27), Muse (July 2), and Jelly Roll (July 4), confirming Toliver's rising festival draw.Analytic Dreamz analyzes how OCTANE evolves his sound, leverages samples for viral potential, and cements his top-tier status amid strong social media reception and touring announcements.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/analytic-dreamz-notorious-mass-effect/donationsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
Welcome to your daily comedy podcast, where absolutely nothing makes sense and we like it that way.Today's show kicks off with a story that nobody asked for but everyone will remember forever: a 73-year-old former born-again Christian reinventing herself as an escort named Busty Granny. She spent decades in prayer and celibacy, then hit 57, downloaded the internet, and said “oh… THIS is what we've been missing.” Now she's got clients young enough to still have homework and zero interest in OnlyFans because, quote, that sounds boring. Inspirational? Traumatizing? Both. Then we get into the most depressing career math of all time: a woman casually sings seven words into her phone for a Dr Pepper jingle and walks away with $2 million, while the rest of us are out here working full-time jobs and eating gas-station sandwiches. Naturally, this leads to the crew trying to invent jingles for every brand that will absolutely never call back.Somehow that spirals into one of the most fun debates we've had in a while — the biggest debut albums of all time. We're talking massive numbers, MTV miracles, and how one 4am spin turned a “failed” album into a 50-million-copy monster. Along the way we argue, forget basic facts, remember them loudly, and realize radio used to be way more powerful than TikTok will ever admit.Movies get dragged (respectfully… mostly), Brendan Fraser gets the comeback love he deserves, and we debate whether seeing a movie in a theater automatically adds two letter grades just because popcorn exists. In Crap on Celebrities, we hit everything from band lawsuits and surprise documentaries to tour dropouts, concert ticket chaos, and some genuinely heartbreaking but honest conversations about aging, memory, and how terrifying it is to not know what's happening inside your own brain. We also celebrate birthdays, overshare existential dread, and somehow end the show discussing a literal geyser of poop water blasting into the Potomac River — because if we're going to spiral, we're doing it together. It's another daily comedy podcast episode packed with weird news, pop culture, dark laughs, and moments where we all pause and go, “Wait… are we okay?”Spoiler: probably not. But at least we're funny.MUSICMotley Crue has officially won its heated legal battle against former guitarist Mick Mars. Lainey Wilson sure has kept herself busy. It was just announced that Netflix has officially acquired the new documentary "Lainey Wilson: Keepin' Country Cool". It drops on April 22nd. Two more artists have dropped out of the 2026 Rock the Country Festival. Morgan Wade and Carter Faith are no longer part of the lineup. And neither artist has shared an official reason for stepping away. Their exit comes just days after Ludacris also dropped out. His team called his original booking a "mix-up." The festival is headlined by Kid Rock and will feature Jason Aldean, Jelly Roll, Miranda Lambert, and more.In other Kid Rock News – he went to Congress to confront an issue we're all united on: How much Ticketmaster and Live Nation charge for shows. Quick Hits:Post Malone, Andrew Watt, Chad Smith, Duff McKagan, and Slash will perform a special tribute to Ozzy Osbourne during the Grammys on Sunday night.Jack White posted a video showing off the next Third Man Vault package, Jimi Hendrix's Valley of the Jams 1969-1970. Check it out on Instagram.Tom Morello and Rise Against will headline A Concert of Solidarity & Resistance to Defend Minnesota Friday at noon at First Avenue in Minneapolis. TVThe fourth season of Ted Lasso is set to debut this summer. Stephen Colbert announced on "Late Night With Seth Meyers" that the final episode of "The Late Show" will air on Thursday, May 21. MOVING ON INTO MOVIE NEWS:Matthew Lillard recently caught a stray from Quentin Tarantino when he said he didn't care for him. But that resulted in an outpouring of love that made Matthew feel like he was living through his own wake. Actress and producer Patricia Schneider has filed for divorce from Rob Schneider, describing their 15-year marriage as "irretrievably broken" with no chance of reconciliation. Bill Cosby has admitted under oath that he obtained prescriptions for Quaaludes specifically to give to women. Bruce Willis' wife, Emma says Bruce is unaware of his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis.AND FINALLYHere are five of the BEST:1. Jack Black: "I was begging my boss for an extra shift, he overheard and tipped me $100 on a $20ish tab. From then on, he never left me less than a $50 tip and would always check in with me when it was the end of the month to make sure I had rent cash."2. Harrison Ford: "My uncle said that he's incredibly nice and took the whole crew out for lunch to thank them for working on his helicopter."3. Justin Bieber: "He was by himself at a mall, and he wasn't trying to be incognito . . . He drew me in with a big hug and chatted me up. He was lovely."4. John Travolta: "The guy is totally down to earth . . . He is also someone who asks a lot of questions and is actually interested in what you have to say."5. Dolly Parton: "Can confirm that she's just as great as you'd assume. She was just so nice to everyone. She was a lot smaller than I expected."Here are five of the WORST:1. Jennifer Lopez: "She was super rude and dismissive . . . and had this attitude that she was better than you."2. Jenna Fischer from "The Office": "[She] was really difficult to work with. Just really demanding."3. Jared Leto: "[He's] a narcissistic [A-hole]. He complains about every single thing and really enjoys being difficult. I think he does it for fun."4. Diana Ross: "[She] cut in front of me at the airport check-in counter once . . . I was flabbergasted by this lady who had the guts to sweep in front of us AND touch the gate agent's computer."5. John Cusack: "Outside of a restaurant: 'Hey, Mr. Cusack, I like your movies.' . . . 'I don't care.'"AND THAT IS YOUR CRAP ON CELEBRITIES! I'd encourage all of you to join for the Divisional Round and beyond, given that the contest is free of charge and it's a lot of fun. This podcast was initiated by our man Tom Haberstroh breaking a story on a drastic dive in NBA offense, attributed by many in the league to a sudden secret shift in referee practice. What's going on with this? Why is it happening? Many a great topic in this discussion, such as: * Is Rich Paul correct to lobby for Austin Reaves getting traded? * Is it close minded to say an out of shape Luka can't be the best player on a title team? * Is it crazy to consider dealing Luka instead of Reaves?* Is Deni Avdija getting unfairly accused of being a foul grifter?* My dislike of the great (and necessary) Victor Wembanyama* Is a substation is getting 49ers injured. Enjoy!

Eoin is back in the house to try and put manners on the lads with middling success it must be said. He's noticed a change in Darren's attire recently and Joe's recent rants get the boss's assessment.Inspired by a very questionable 1970's social experiment, a thought experiment ensues and we get to hear what they'd do to drive eachother pure mad.Things get a bit Shakespearean when Joe gets outraged by Romeo & Juliet and poor darren gets freaked out by what happens to your head after it's been guillotened into a basket. And don't forget to join us for our live show at Vicar Street on February 12th. More reverberations from Gov. Phil Scott's State of the State address, plus a class action lawsuit in Quebec against the mega-ticket service Ticketmaster, and a Vermont rock band releases its debut album. We share a song that's an ode to foraging for wild ramps in spring and a deep love for the lake.
The web is turning agentic. And that changes everything from shopping to search to SEO.In this episode of TechFirst, John Koetsier sits down with Dave Anderson (VP at ContentSquare + host of the “Tech Seeking Human” podcast) to unpack what happens when browsers and AI assistants don't just answer … they do stuff. For you. On your behalf. From Atlas and agentic browsing to the growing backlash from retailers (hello, Amazon vs Perplexity), we explore who benefits, who loses, and what the internet becomes when agents are the default user. You'll hear why retailers are nervous (security, margins, coupon hunting), why agent-first experiences might create “headless” retailers (like ghost kitchens, but for ecommerce), and why search is shifting from SEO to AI visibility. Plus: real talk about trusting agents with your credit card, hallucinations, and what it means if your agent can look indistinguishable from you.GuestDave Anderson — VP, ContentSquarehttps://contentsquare.comPodcast: Tech Seeking Humanhttps://www.techseekinghuman.aiLinks & subscribeSubscribe for more conversations on tech, AI, and what's next: https://techfirst.substack.comTranscripts always available herehttps://johnkoetsier.com00:00 Agentic web: what changes when browsers “do stuff”00:59 Meet Dave Anderson (VP + podcast host)01:31 30,000 feet: why “agents” suddenly matter03:48 The agent future John wanted 10 years ago04:21 Why Amazon doesn't want your agent shopping on Amazon05:07 Ticketmaster, bots, and the security nightmare06:26 Siri's original promise vs today's reality08:31 Are agents just bots… or something different?10:04 Retail fears: coupon hunting, margins, returns chaos11:21 Can you trust an agent with your credit card?11:59 Why retailers want their own agents (and control)13:14 Amazon's agent works… but is it the whole internet?14:19 Ghost kitchens for retail: “headless” agent-first brands15:17 Hugo Boss jacket test: agents vs manual search16:40 Agents should talk to your finance agent17:14 Kids + deepfakes: what even looks real anymore?18:04 Is this corrosive to apps… or the web?19:10 Online identity, anonymity, and agent verification20:28 Two futures: human-first brands vs agent-first retail21:19 Agentic browsers on your device: can they “look like you”?22:51 Baseball vs golf: the best analogy for search now24:44 Instant shopping problem: returns + missing “services layer”26:10 AI weirdness: wrong names, wrong locations, shifting behavior27:37 Agents beyond shopping: support is the sleeper win29:49 Inventing the future: who adopts agents and who won't31:13 Will people get tired of AI and crave humans again?31:45 Serendipity vs optimization: the restaurant debate32:36 Wrap: nobody solved agents… but the shift is real

Send us a textEpisode #01 // Season:2026In this episode, Luba, Founder and CEO of Bryght, sits down with Ashley, a woman who has held many roles in her life. Former employee, chosen family, and now one of her closest friends. They met over 15 years ago, when neither woman could have predicted where life would take them. Fast forward to now and they are standing in two very different chapters. Both single. Both thriving. One raising a child. The other intentionally child free. Each living a life that looks nothing like the one they imagined back then. And yet the parallels are impossible to ignore. This conversation is raw, funny, reflective, and unapologetically honest. They talk about how friendship evolves when roles shift, from coworkers to confidantes to women who had to redefine boundaries. What it means to outgrow old versions of yourself and sometimes each other. Dating in today's world, the confusion, the chemistry, and the contradictions. They dig into what actually defines a one night stand. Is it about time, intention, or emotional access. Due dates, deadlines, and the invisible timelines women are told to live by. Older men versus younger men and why neither category guarantees emotional maturity.Luba brings her CEO energy, lived experience, and zero tolerance for bullshit. Ashley brings motherhood, clarity, and the grounded perspective of a woman who knows exactly what she will and will not accept.Different lives. Different choices. Same self trust. Same growth. Same refusal to settle. This is not girl talk.It is a womanhood conversation about desire, independence, friendship, and choosing yourself at every stage.Pull up a chair. This one hits.
This is the last episode of 2026!!! And just for that, I wanted to give you a special look at one of the other podcasts I do, Tape Spaghetti! What happens when one of the biggest bands in the world takes on its industry's Death Star? In 1994, Pearl Jam was willing to find out. On this week's Tape Spaghetti, Scott & Blake revisit the grunge-era showdown that pitted a group of scrappy rock idealists against Ticketmaster, the ultimate corporate monolith. Having locked down every major venue in America, Ticketmaster strangled fans with specious “service charges” and squeezed bands with exclusivity contracts. At the height of their popularity, Pearl Jam demanded fairer prices and more transparency. They even attempted to bypass Ticketmaster altogether by playing public spaces – but ultimately they had to put up with shady politics, convoluted permitting, and the reality that they were losing millions in revenue. How did Ticketmaster go from a scrappy Arizona startup to a money-printing monopoly? In a world where we *still* pay $45 in convenience fees, this one hits home. Learn more about your ad choices. Dolly Parton BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Dolly Parton, the indomitable queen of country at 79, just squashed death rumors with her signature sparkle and sass. On Wednesday, December 24, she posted a lively Instagram video from the Grand Ole Opry recording booth, decked out in full Christmas glam, declaring, "Do I look sick to you? I'm working hard here. I ain't dead yet!" According to AOL reports, this came hours after her sister Frieda sparked panic on Facebook, praying for Dolly who "hasn't been feeling her best lately," though Frieda quickly clarified it was just a minor bug and no cause for alarm. Parton opened up about health hiccups since her husband Carl Dean's death in March—nothing major, she insisted, but enough to prompt treatments near home and the big postponement of her first Las Vegas residency in 32 years. Those six glittering shows at Caesars Palace, originally set for December 2025, are now bumped to September 2026, as confirmed by JamBase, AXS, and Ticketmaster listings.Park buzz hit Dollywood too: Inside the Magic revealed on December 20 that the iconic Dollywood Express steam train shut down indefinitely for unscheduled maintenance amid Smoky Mountain Christmas festivities, a historic ride predating Partons 1986 takeover thats no small biographical footnote for her empire. Meanwhile, her touring musical Dolly Partons Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol is packing houses, with Ticketmaster noting a show today in Lexington, Kentucky, and fresh gigs lined up in Clearwater and Huntsville.Parton also got teary sharing a poignant Christmas memory on Movieguide, recalling giving her grab-bag gift to her self-sacrificing mama back in poor East Tennessee days, vowing to keep that big heart beating. Send us a textEpisode #24 // Season:2025This episode isn't about dance. It's about belief. The kind you have to build when no one around you sees your vision when the people closest to you tell you it's unrealistic, impossible, or “not going to work.”In this raw and deeply empowering conversation, I sit down with Anastasia Supernova, a professional dancer whose journey is a powerful reminder that confidence is not something you're born with it's something you choose, over and over again.Anastasia opens up about a moment many wouldn't expect from someone now considered a professional: attending her first dance festival and sitting on the sidelines, watching instead of participating. Not because she wasn't talented but because her self-confidence was shattered. She questioned whether she belonged there at all. She second-guessed herself as a professional. She felt invisible in a room she had worked so hard to enter. And that's the point. We all start somewhere.Even the women we admire.Even the ones we think “got lucky.”This episode is about what happens before the applause, before the titles, before the confidence looks effortless. It's about choosing to believe in yourself when your inner voice is quiet and the external voices are loud with doubt.Anastasia's story is a reminder that:You don't need permission to dream biggerYou don't need validation to beginAnd you don't need to feel ready to take the first stepYou just need to stay in the room long enough to remember who you are.If you've ever doubted yourself, felt behind, questioned your worth, or chased a dream that others didn't understand this episode is for you.Because believing in yourself isn't delusion. It's the first act of courage. Joe and Darren meet at a Christmas convention but more on that later...This week the boys bemoan the lack of options in Dublin for entertaining the kids and it seems bringing them to a graveyard isn't going to cut it and we're all in agreement that Christmas markets suck. The conversation naturally turns to which A.I assistant would be the soundest to hang out with and Grok comes out very badly. With it being the season we hear how Joe's Moira has made some 'interesting' choices whn it comes to the kids presents prompting joe to sweep down the chimney to save the day. With the darts underway at Ally Pally we needless to say get to hear from Joe how 'easy' darts is. He's as regular as a Luke Littler triple 20 that fella.
