Before diving full-on into BatMarch, the guys take a quick stop in Westeros to talk about the newest Game of Thrones spin-off series from HBO A Knight of the Seven KingdomsBut first, did Cody witness legit magic? How many kingdoms are there really in Westeros? Was the inclusion of the Game of Thrones theme song a subversion? Did Dunk's shitting scene work? Did the jokes and lightness of the series fit the GOT universe? Is Game of Thrones required viewing to enjoy this show? Which characters would we be? Is Egg's acting top tier? Would Dunk make a good Colossus in a live action X-Men movie? Does Anthony recommend the Dunk & Egg comics? Is Egg's brother Maester Aemon? Did the Targaryens have DRIP? How is Baelor like Ned Stark? Why is A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms so much better than House of the Dragon? Did we get an in-depth look at Flea Bottom in this series? How do we feel about all the episodes being less than an hour and the season being only 6 episodes? Were we impressed by the sheer amount of world building despite the series being set in one geographic location? Will George RR Martin ever finish The Winds of Winter? Should we do an episode on The Neverending Story? What's the truth about Balto? Are the Targaryens on the Epstein list? What are the top 5 on-screen horse deaths? Did AKOTSK have a ton of iconic scenes? Was Dunk ever actually knighted by Sir Arlan? Who is Cody brining to his Trial of the Seven? How did we feel about Maekar? Is Aegon like Kevin McCallister? TEXT US YOUR THOUGHTS!This week on Good2Game Radio, Tony, Jaime, and Vance saddle up and ride straight into Westeros to talk about A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. The guys break down the adventures of Dunk—a towering hedge knight who might be honorable… or might just be really good at pretending he's a knight. Either way, he's somehow stumbled into a royal tournament, adopted a bald kid named Egg, and managed to anger a bunch of very powerful people. What could possibly go wrong? The crew debates Dunk's questionable knighthood, the surprisingly great Trial of Seven battle, and whether the show's smaller budget actually works in its favor compared to House of the Dragon. Along the way, they discuss puppet shows, exploding medieval diarrhea jokes, and why being the only honorable guy in Westeros is basically a death sentence. One thing's clear: Dunk may be the nicest guy in the Seven Kingdoms… which means he's probably doomed.Support the show https://discord.gg/3yfGt9gahB
This week on FnA Presents, we're catching up on everything we missed! Life and work got a little crazy last week, but that just means there's a lot to talk about. We kick things off with some Hollywood drama as Shia LaBeouf makes headlines again after his recent Mardi Gras arrest and controversial interview. From there we jump into trailer talk with the brand new Mortal Kombat 2 trailer, which finally looks like it's delivering the tournament fans have been waiting for, and the final season trailer for The Boys, where Homelander might actually be taking over the world.Next we head back to Westeros to talk about the emotional Season 1 finale of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, where Dunk and Egg begin their journey together on the road as hedge knight and squire. On the gaming side of things, Fred may finally be stepping away from the Wasteland after another long run through Fallout 4. Mods, Brotherhood loyalty, destroyed Institutes, and endless settlements… but burnout might finally be setting in. But something else has pulled him back in — ARC Raiders. After a rough experience with sweaty PvP players, some recent changes to the matchmaking system and new enemies have made the game feel fun again. Plus we take a look at Crimson Desert, the upcoming open-world RPG releasing March 19, 2026 that could end up being one of the biggest games of the year. Before wrapping up, we dive into some Marvel news, including updates on Spider-Man: Brand New Day and the latest leaks and rumors surrounding Avengers: Doomsday.Who takes down Homelander? Is Mortal Kombat finally doing the tournament right? Is Fred really done with Fallout… or will the Wasteland pull him back in again?Join us for another episode of FnA Presents. If you enjoyed the episode, make sure to like, follow, and share the show.
This week, the Regular Joes talk about three very different TV series. Pluribus is a surprise hit for Apple, though it really shouldn't be. Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan knows how to tell a compelling story. This time he takes the alien body snatcher trope and goes places you would never expect. Just when you thought another trip to Westeros would be more of the same HBO serves up a Knight of Seven Kingdoms. Much more about impalement, then backstabbing, Knight gives us a character piece that does not require a chart or spreadsheet to follow. While the first two shows are unexpected surprises Monarch: Legacy of the Monsters back for a second season on Apple is not. With one episode to date it's everything we loved … plus Kong. There's also a round of What's in the Box and the usual random topics. Thanks for watching and listening! Puss Hej!
We're back in Westeros to talk about the adventures of Dunk and Egg. Andrea and Paul dive into a quieter Westeros as they cover HBO series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

Welcome to Multiverse News, Your source for Information about all your favorite fictional universesNetflix has walked away from its bid to buy Warner Brothers, refusing to raise an initial offer after a counter offer from Paramount Skydance at $31 dollars a share, its largest push to buy the studio to this point. This move sets up Paramount as the favorite to acquire Netflix with no real competitor left in the field. The Ellison family has made an extended political push, as well as a financial push to raise the offer enough to secure the chance to purchase the studio and all the intellectual property included. Netflix is also expected to walk away with a $2.8 billion dollar termination fee, paid by Paramount. On an investor call on Monday, David Ellison confirmed that eventually, HBOMax and Paramount+ will merge into one streaming platform.‘Twas two weeks before the Oscars and during awards season, Sinners took a surprise award home and we don't care for what reason! The awards show formerly known as the SAG Awards, now called the Actor Awards, livestreamed on Netflix this past Sunday, hosted by Kristen Bell. The biggest surprise of the night was Michael B. Jordan winning the lead actor award for his roles in Sinners, which Viola Davis announced in a way that went viral. In other horror film news, Amy Madigan took home her second award this season for best supporting actress in Weapons.Scream 7 blew past all expectations at the weekend box office, where it opened to a franchise-best $64.1 million domestically and $33.1 million overseas for a global start of $97.2 million, the best opening weekend in the franchise's history. It's a quiet time otherwise at the movies, as we look to May for the beginning of a hot summer season, with Sony Picture's GOAT pulling ahead of Wuthering Heights, both of which are in their third weekends.Amazon has unveiled a first look at the live-action “God of War” TV series, with production on the show now underway in Vancouver. The image offers fans their first glimpse of Ryan Hurst as Kratos, the titular god of war, and Callum Vinson as his young son, Atreus. On Saturday, David Jaffe, the creator of the “God of War” video games, took to his YouTube channel to criticize the first look, calling it a “dumb fucking image," and saying "could you find a picture that doesn't look like he's shitting in the woods? Cause that's what the picture looks like.”Paramount has tapped screenwriter Max Landis to pen the script for an upcoming GI Joe feature, sources tell the Hollywood Reporter. At the same time, the studio has also hired The Righteous Gemstones star and creator Danny McBride to work on a separate script for GI Joe, although it is unclear if these are two separate projects or not. Notably, Landis' career imploded in 2019 during the Me Too Movement after an expose in the Daily Beast in which several women accused him of sexual and emotional abuse.A24 has released the first trailer for Kane Parsons' upcoming horror film The Backrooms, starring Chiwetel Ejiofor. The film, which is a directorial debut for Parsons, is based on his viral YouTube horror series that has amassed more than 190 million views. The first trailer has been released for the Wayans brothers' upcoming Scary Movie 6, which releases in theaters on June 12th. The trailer has begun appropriately playing in front of Scream 7.Warner Brothers is officially developing a Game of Thrones movie with Andor writer and House of Cards showrunner Beau Willimon attached to write the script. The movie is believed to be about Aegon I Targaryen's conquest of Westeros, which would serve as a prequel to the mainline HBO series.

In this episode of Geek Freaks Headlines, we break down the latest report that a Game of Thrones movie is in the works and may center on Aegon's Conquest. Frank talks about why this is one of the biggest stories fans have been waiting for, why Beau Willimon feels like a strong choice to write it, and how the movie could balance dragon-sized spectacle with the character drama that made Westeros so compelling in the first place. The episode also gets into early fan casting chatter, including names like Henry Cavill and Jacob Elordi, while making it clear that no casting has been announced yet.00:00 Introduction to the Game of Thrones movie report00:08 Why Aegon's Conquest is one of the big stories fans have wanted00:19 Three dragons, major Targaryens, and familiar Westeros houses00:26 Why Beau Willimon is an interesting writing choice00:37 The challenge of balancing spectacle with character drama00:51 The family tension and succession drama that could drive the film01:06 Why a Warner Bros. theatrical release could mean a bigger budget01:10 Why Henry Cavill rumors are still just fan casting01:21 Frank's fan casting thoughts and question for listenersA Game of Thrones movie is reportedly moving ahead instead of a new series focused on Aegon the Conqueror.Aegon's Conquest and Robert's Rebellion remain two of the most wanted live action Westeros stories. The reported choice of Beau Willimon suggests the project may lean into layered writing instead of pure spectacle. The real hook of an Aegon story is not just dragons and war, but the internal Targaryen drama. No casting has been confirmed, despite online fan casting conversations.A theatrical release could give the project a much larger scale than an HBO series version.“For the Game of Thrones fan, there's two big stories they're waiting for, and that's Aegon's Conquest and Robert's Rebellion.”“All Game of Thrones, you have to balance the spectacle with the character drama.”“It needs to be a very charismatic Targaryen. He's kind of the Targaryen that starts off everything we know.”A movie centered on Aegon's Conquest could reshape the future of the Game of Thrones franchise on screen. It opens the door to one of the most important events in Westerosi history, brings in iconic houses like the Starks and Lannisters, and gives fans a story that feels big enough for theaters while still leaving room for political and family tension.Enjoyed the episode? Discussing the finale of Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. We have some prompting questions that we may discuss during this discussion. Remember to like and subscribe. 1. What makes a "true" knight in Westeros? 2. Duncan's discussion about his foot versus the the usefulness of Prince Baelor. The value of each and what that means in Westeros? Is Baelor worth more than Duncan's foot? Is this justice or chivalry gone wrong? 3. The hedge knight vs real knight depiction is a real thing in this show. How do you feel about that critique? 4. Was Duncan ever knighted? Say he wasn't, does that matter? 5. Let's clear up the 7 vs 9 kingdoms thing. This week, Da7e and Neil move from Westeros to the Monsterverse as Apple TV's Monarch: Legacy of Monsters returns for its second season. In The Calm [06:24], they recap the story so far and piece together where the events of season one (and season two's premiere) fit on the larger timeline of Legendary's Titan-filled story world. They also discuss Kong Skull Island and how Kong and his neighborhood have evolved since the 2017 film. Then in The Storm [59:32], they look ahead to episode two and beyond, attempting to predict what will be this season's big technological MacGuffin. They also discuss a few wild theories about where this series may ultimately end.And finally, in a very special new segment called The Godzilla Project [01:16:20], Da7e leads Neil through Session Zero of a new "Kids on Bikes"-inspired roleplaying experience. Over the next 10 weeks, Neil will create his own Godzilla movie project and be at the mercy of Da7e's dungeon master expertise and numerous dice rolls to see if he can deliver a successful entry in the Monsterverse franchise.Next week, Monarch season two continues with episode two, "Resonance," on Friday. Which means there will be a new pod in your feeds on Saturday with more Calm, more Storm, and Session One of The Godzilla Project where Neil will make his initial movie pitch! To interact with the show, send your comments and questions to stormofspoilers@gmail.com, and follow us on Twitter/X and Bluesky @Da7eandNeil.You can also support Da7e and Neil and get all kinds of bonus content (from the Game of Thrones era to the LOST rewatch to our Twin Peaks rewatch project to our current Adventure Pod and Hannibal watch project) by subscribing to our Patreon here: patreon.com/Da7eandNeil

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms brings Westeros back to basics — no dragons, no throne room scheming (well… less of it), just one towering hedge knight and his sharp, secret-packed squire trying to survive the politics of chivalry. Dunk is earnest, broke, and way in over his head. Egg is smarter than he lets on. The show trades epic spectacle for grounded storytelling, focusing on honor, class, and the quiet tension bubbling beneath tournaments and banners. It's smaller in scale than Game of Thrones, but richer in heart. A slow burn? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely. Season Endings and Real-World Goodbyes This week on the podcast, Brian and Darryl break down the Season 1 finale of HBO's A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, reflect on the season as a whole, and celebrate the life and career of actor Robert Carradine. Did the finale land the joust, or did it pull up short at the lists? And where does this first season rank among HBO's growing Westerosi saga? Plus, we say goodbye to a certified nerd icon. Episode Index Intro: 0:07 News Bites – Robert Carradine: 5:30 A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms – Season 1 Finale Review: 13:47 Season 1 Retrospective: 40:12 Final Thoughts: 46:52 News Bites Robert Carradine (1954–2026) Robert Carradine, best known for his role as Lewis Skolnick in Revenge of the Nerds, has passed away. Carradine was part of the legendary Carradine acting family, son of John Carradine and brother to David and Keith Carradine. While he built a long résumé in film and television, he became a generational touchstone for playing the underdog genius in the 1984 cult classic Revenge of the Nerds and its sequels. Beyond that franchise, Carradine appeared in projects such as The Long Riders, Lizzie McGuire, King of the Nerds, and numerous television roles across decades. He embodied a very specific cinematic archetype: the smart outsider who eventually wins. For an entire era of fandom, he helped make “nerd” aspirational. We tip the pocket protector in respect. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms – Season 1 Finale Episode Title: ‘The Morrow’ Director: Sarah Adina Smith Writer: Ira Parker & Ti Mikkel Network: HBO The Season 1 finale brings Ser Duncan the Tall and Egg's first major Westerosi chapter to a close. Lyonel invites Dunk to move to Storm’s End, but Dunk believes that he brings only bad luck. Baelor’s body is cremated at his funeral. Dunk finds Valarr, who questions why his father died, but Dunk was left alive. Raymun reveals he has married the prostitute Rowan, alias Red. Maekar informs Dunk that Aerion will spend time in the Free Cities to atone. He laments that Baelor would have been a good king and invites Dunk to Summerhall, where Egg can be his squire; Dunk declines, which Egg overhears. In a flashback, Dunk asks Arlan why he was never knighted. Arlan retorts that a true knight always finishes a story. In the present, Daeron tells Dunk to mentor Egg to prevent him from becoming like Aerion. Egg discovers that his hair is regrowing. He takes a knife to Aerion’s bedroom, but Maekar calms him down. Dunk asks Maekar if Egg can squire for him on the road, but Maekar refuses. Raymun buys Sweetfoot back for Dunk, who then gifts her to Raymun. As Dunk leaves Ashford, Egg arrives, and they depart together. Egg suggests that they travel to Dorne. An angry Maekar later realizes that Egg is gone. Key themes explored: – Honor vs. ambition – The weight of legacy – The quiet tension of noble politics – The personal cost of knighthood – Nature vs. Nurture The episode leans more on moral consequence than explosive set pieces, reinforcing the show's identity as a smaller-scale, character-first entry in the Game of Thrones universe. Brian & Darryl Discuss: – Did the finale feel satisfying or intentionally restrained? – Was the pacing consistent with the season's slower, novelistic approach? – Standout performances – Production design and tonal consistency – How does this set up future seasons Rating out of 5 When the Laughing Storm Offers You War, You Say Yes Brian: 4.88/5 Darryl: 4.6/5 Season 1 Retrospective Season 1 of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms carved out its own lane in Westeros by shrinking the scope and focusing on intimacy over spectacle. Season strengths: – Character chemistry between Dunk and Egg – Political nuance without overwhelming lore – Strong costume and set authenticity – A grounded tone closer to early Game of Thrones Rating out of 10, Wow, That Hedge Knight has a HUGE “Sword” Brian: 9.17/10 Darryl: 9.5/10 Question of the Week What would you do if you were invisible for a day? Selmy is fine with that. He's short of friends right now, with Daario and company still hostages of the Yunkai'i, but Missandei tells him that a masked Brazen Beast approached her to say that the Shavepate (Skahaz mo Kandaq) wants to meet with Selmy. He doesn't trust these masked men, but he agrees to the meeting.Barristan is convinced that Dany lives. She was riding Drogon like the Targaryens of old. But also like the dragons of old, the body count can get out of control. More than 200 burned to death at the fighting pit. The Volantenes are coming to re-enslave everyone. The peace treaty is a sham.
