After making a series of bad decisions, with one leading to a friend being shot and killed, Sunil Godse spent thousands of hours on research and interviews to find out that the reason we waste time making bad decisions is because we ignore our intuition, a subconscious phenomenon that we are all born with that helps us make the right decision at the right time in any situation we find ourselves in. Sunil developed a seven-step process that shows you how to sharpen your intuition so that the only decisions you make are the right ones in any situation that move your life forward. Recently I read a story of a car hijacking that took place in Hot Springs, Arkansas and my reaction wasn't what I thought it would be.This woman is just out running errands in Hot Springs when she sees two men running towards her car after what was a failed attempted robbery. They jump in, put a gun to her head, and just tell her to start driving. As she's driving them to the ATM, she starts talking to her hijackers about Jesus and turned on Christian radio which started playing the same songs as you'd hear on KCBI. Good news is this woman is safe and as she shared her experience with the news station she shared this line, "I just started to sing these songs and I was telling them about Jesus and I turned to this man in the back and told him 'Whatever it is that you're into, you can't outrun the love of Jesus.'" The reason my reaction to this story surprised me is because I found myself identifying more with with the man in the back than the woman driving. But I began thinking how this man's life is messy just like my life can be messy on any given day and God would, in the midst of my mess, use somebody else to speak a word of encouragement into my life to help guide me back. That is such a loving God. Thank you, Lord, for reaching us even in the midst of our mess.

"I think it's important for French people, and everyone, to see this and think about maybe why some people become [radicalised]." "After the stage play of almost the same name, I felt I had more to say about the important matter of political committment in our times, and for my generation." The Journey (Baghdad Station) Daradji's fifth film, which won recognition at the Toronto Film Festival is a psychological thriller in a time capsule. A young woman, a determined look in her eye, bulk around her middle and her hand on a trigger. All around Sara (Zahraa Ghandour), the usual hustle and bustle of the central station of the Iraqi capital on the day, former dictator Saddam Hussein is executed. A day when the renovated hub is to be inaugurated with a little ceremony. Little does she know that the train carrying the VIPs will be late and that she is about to make an unexpected journey with wise-guy Salam (Ameer Jabarah). Little does he imagine the full weight of their encounter and where it will end. Throughout the film, Daradji has the spectator meet the war-scarred of Iraq, or the region more broadly. The Journey seems something of a miracle film given the volatile situation during the film shoot. As well as telling an exceptional tale, Daradji also reveals stories and casualties of everyday life and love – and the will to survive in a war zone. The Iraqi director wasn't daunted by the risk of filming a vulnerable subject in the renovated Baghdad Station at a time when his country was recovering from war – and under threat of more violence from the Islamic State armed group. Just then, a gentler encounter, a young teacher called Saïd, comes her way, along with his class of inquisitive seven-year-olds. Davis's character is sufficiently unconventional and sufficiently recognisable as a child of revolutionary parents fighting for the same kind of changes her elders were confronting 50 years ago. Angèle's anger is a motor for the high revs of theatrical or witty comedy in a film which nonetheless calls into question philosophical and political values of our society. The father hanging onto the past and the mother making the most of the achievements of the revolt. Davis is supported by fabulously lively and talented actors, Claire Dumas and Malik Zidi, who wowed last year's Angoulême awards jury, headed by Karine Viard. With its unwieldy title, there's something positively refreshing about Davis' debut. Almost a revolution in French film.

"Mum, please don't buy me any clothes. I just want to go shopping for clothes with Dad." This request was made by my almost thirteen year old, and echoed(1) by my fourteen year old. It was totally unexpected. In fact, I have never heard anything like that before(2). I've shopped for my children's clothes all of their lives, and now, suddenly, I've been told not to. Did their request hurt my feelings? Not really. I understand that my two oldest are adolescents; they have what we call a 'mental fog'(3) of hormones and changing feelings. I was the same. Perhaps they no longer like my style. Perhaps the brand names I buy are just not cool. Or perhaps they know something that I don't know about fashion. I have never really followed fashion; I just buy what I like. But fashion, for my boys, has suddenly become quite important. The reason they want to shop with their dad, is that he doesn't care about bargains, sales, or saving money. I, on the other hand, am always looking for a bargain. I shop around(4). My husband will find the nicest shop, and buy whatever(5) the boys want. That's why they now prefer dad over mum, the traitors. So, I decided to show my kids that I'm not out of touch(6), I can be fashionable, and perhaps even cool. The latest thing now, apparently, in middle school are Elites. They are a super duper(7), special, wonderful, cool-to-the-extreme(8) type of sock. Everybody wears them, well, everybody who is anybody(9) wears them. If you want to be seen as normal you have to have Elites, otherwise your life is meaningless. So, I followed the dictates of fashion, and spent far too much money on socks. And, you know, I think there is something special about them, some kind of magical power. As soon as my boys put them on, they seemed happier, more confident, and definitely cooler. They walked into school like two zebras joining the herd(10); they belonged. 1. 'Echo' can be used figuratively when someone's words agree or reflect someone else's. a. My sister's words were echoed by her husband: I should go to the doctor immediately. b. My grandmother's voice echoed in my daughter's laughter. 2. 'I have never heard anything like that before' is a useful sentence to practice with different verbs: a. I have never seen anything like that before. b. I have never eaten anything like that before. c. We have never been anywhere like that before. d. They have never done anything like that before. e. She has never said anything like that before. etc etc 3. 'Mental fog' is used when talking about health issues, when a person feels forgetful or not fully awake. a. If I don't sleep enough, I have a real mental fog. b. Depression gives you a mental fog, but exercise and a good diet can make you mentally sharper. 4. 'To shop around' means to spend time going from one shop to another to find the best price. It is also slang for dating lots of people to gain experience. a. I liked the car, but it was too expensive. I think I'll shop around. b. You don't have to marry the first man you meet; shop around a little. 5. 'Whatever' is too important to not mention. It's a great word to use in many situations. a. Buy whatever you want. Eat whatever you want. Listen to whatever he says. (The negative of this is 'don't listen to anything he says'). Do whatever you want. 6. 'To be out of touch' is to not see or respond to reality the way most others do; or to not be realistic. It is also used for being non-communicative with friends and relatives. a. My family thinks that I am out of touch because I don't have a computer. b. I'm so out of touch; I really need to get on Facebook and catch up with my family and friends. 7. 'Super duper' is a traditional slang; it's an extension of super and is lighthearted. a. After dinner, we had Maria's super duper yummy apple pie. b. I think the Honda Leaf is a super duper car. 8. '.....to-the-extreme' can be used with many different adjectives. a. They are sporty-to-the-extreme; it's all they talk about, and all they do. b. They are unhealthy-to-the-extreme; they smoke, drink too much, never exercise, and only eat at McDonald's. 9. 'Anybody' or 'somebody' are both used to refer to someone who has social importance. The opposite is a 'nobody'. a. He really thinks he's somebody. He left the party because he said it was full of nobodies. I'm glad he left. b. You must see the Oscars; anybody who is anybody will be there. (Here you can say 'everybody who is anybody will be there') also. 10. A herd is a group of animals, usually 4 legged. a. The herd of cows ran when the thunder started. b. The huge herd of zebras covered the plains to the horizon. // //
I Feel Fine is - probably - Lennon's first riff-based song. He would go on to write riff-based tunes for the rest of his career; listen to "Day Tripper', or 'Whatever gets you through the night' for example. Lennon made it no secret that his riffs were inspired by songs he had heard; he credited the riff of I Feel Fine to Bobby Parker's 'Watch Your Step', and this also appears to have inspired Day Tripper. Not just that, the spectecular opening 'buzz' of I Feel Fine seems to be derived from the opening of Watch Your Step..... Being an early single, I feel Fine was released in mono, and in extereme (vocal left, instruments right) stereo. Even the 2009 Remasters maintain this stereo format; although intersting, it makes for an awkward listening esperience. Capitol blended the left and right channels, and added a few bucket loads of reverb, which made things even worse for the American audience. Here, for the first time, we present a true - balanced - stereo version of I Feel Fine. Thanks to advances in Technology, we can now fully appreciate the guitar and vocals parts, accompanied by Macca's bass line - although still modest by his standards-. Listen to Ringo's drumming, he hits the tom-tom twice and then taps the rim of the snare. Being a Lennon track, the drum pattern changes for the middle eight.....
2010: THE YEAR OF THE PROPHETIC PEOPLE "Equipped with an Explosive Word" Prophecy Given Through Barbara Williams, December 30, 2009 In the day that King Uzziah died, My prophet Isaiah said, (in response to a question that I asked when I said, "Who shall we send, and Who shall go for us?") and he, [Isaiah] spoke up and said "Here I am, Lord, send me." And the Lord says, "This is that time again. This is that time again, where my eyes are roaming to and fro across the earth asking the same question of every heart. "In this day and age, it's not just the prophet that I would ask, but it is the sons and daughters that I have declared will prophesy," says the Spirit of God. "And I am looking for a people who will say, 'Here am I, Lord, send me!' I am looking for a people who will respond and want to be the one that I send to speak for me. For I need a people who will declare my word in the earth," says the Spirit of God. "and my mind and my heart are stirred up to find those people. I will find them wherever they are. I will seek them out and I will find them. They will come from the high and low, from the rich and poor. They will come from the four corners of the earth. They will come from anywhere and everywhere with the one response that makes them acceptable to me, and that is 'Here am I, Lord, Send Me.' "So this year, 2010, (twenty-ten), will be the year of the prophetic people. it will be the year that I will release such a word with such power in the mouths of those who will say, 'Here am I, Lord, Send Me.' 'Here am I, Lord, Send Me.' That won't hesitate, won't look back, won't look at what they're leaving behind, and won't look at what the cost is, but they will respond quickly to the query of the heart of the Spirit, and they will respond and say, 'Here am I, Lord, Send Me.' It won't be the pastor, it won't be the well-known, it won't be the ones we always look at to do the work," says the Lord, "but it will be the one who responds with a simple, 'YES' answer to my question in their hearts. And I will send them here, and there, and everywhere, and I will equip them," says the Spirit of God. "For I have been planning such equipment that the world has not yet seen. For I have people stationed, and I have people in specific strategic places to release the Word of the Lord because they have responded and said, 'Whatever you say to do, Lord, I am here to do it.' So I am looking for a people, a prophetic people, that I can equip, and I can put my weapons upon them. And yes, there are imitations - there are false things in the earth - that would try to imitate the explosive power of my word." says the Spirit of the Lord. "For was there not someone apprehended recently in the city of Detroit who had equipment strapped to him ready to explode and cause damage?" The Lord says, "That is merely a counterfeit of what I have for My People. For I have a word that will explode and break chains and break barriers. I have a word that will come to you as you sit, and just casually talk to someone - their heart will be stirred, and there will be a fire stirred up within them," says the Spirit of God. "For I will strap a bomb onto My People, and that is the Word of the Lord. And when that Word is released, it will do such damage to the devil's kingdom that he will not be able to find the pieces to put it back in repair, for my anointing destroys every yoke. "And what I am planning on this earth is a double-fold anointing, and a double-fold release of My Word. For one of my children will be meditating, and beginning to understand what it is that I am wanting them to do, and that Word will come into them and be like fire shut up in their bones... (That will be explosion #1.) And that person will carry it, just like the fake (suicide bomber) carries his explosives, and that person will know exactly where to release that word, and to whom to release it. And it will come and it will explode and break barriers off of that individual, and they will open their eyes and they will see My Son in all of His Glory. For I have that stored up for my people. "And Yes, you will be a terror. And Yes, you will be a threat. But I will hide you in the cleft of the Rock when you need to be hidden, and I will make it such that you will be wise as serpents and harmless as doves in the earth. And you will be known as the people who know their God and do exploits," says the Spirit of the Living God. "So My eye is looking. I am looking, and I will knock on the door of every heart, and I am looking for those who will say, 'Here I am, Lord, Send Me. Send me! I'm not looking to the preacher, I'm not looking to the missionary, and not looking to someone else to do it, but I will be the sent one this time.' And God will equip you with such glory and such majesty, and such a word, that people will know that you know that you know God of a truth," says the Lord. "And Yes, the earth will be filled with the knowledge of My Glory. It will be FILLED with the knowledge of My Glory. No more religion. No more playing games. No more false things, but the demonstration and power of the Holy Spirit through the Bride of Christ in this earth," says the Spirit of the Living God. "And know that I saved the best for last," says the Spirit. "I saved the best for last. For one will wake up, and will feel an new stirring on the inside, and that's the giving over of that explosive Word into your spirit, and you will know exactly where to carry it, and where to release it, and when it comes forth, it will bring forth much powerful fruit. For you will see miracles at your own words," Says the spirit of God. "You will see miracles at your own words. You will see miracles, and you will know that you are the one who is sent, that you are the one who is equipped, and you are the one that is giving Me glory," says the Spirit of the Living God. "And I am giving the Christian a new occupation. I am giving you the occupation of the one who makes a difference everywhere you go. No more to be persecuted and chased and hunted down, and reviled, and persecuted for no good reason. But you will be one that will hold their head high and be sought after because people know you have the real thing." says the Spirit of the Living God. "And I alone will do this. I alone will do it, and I will release my power, and release my glory into the hearts of hungry people who have been faithful and who have been waiting, and who know what time it is." Says the Spirit of the Living God. "A prophetic people... A prophetic people with the explosive Word that can do eternal good for humanity in the earth at this hour," says the Spirit of the Living God.
