Capital Tacos is a fast-casual Tex-Mex cuisine franchise making waves in the industry.  Capital Tacos has 13 corporate and 3 franchise locations and is ready and positioned to spread across the United States today!   Josh Luger, Co-Founder of Capital Tacos, joins Stacie Shannon in this episode to share how the brand originated and breaks-down the Capital Tacos franchise model, which offers three different types of investment to fit almost any lifestyle choice.   From the onset, Josh shares how he and his partner wanted "to do something special that could be scaleable and shared with others down the road." After visiting hundreds of fast-casual restaurants around the US and taste-testing food, they ultimately came up with the Capital Tacos scratch-made Tex-Mex cuisine offering. When asked what defines "scratch-made," Josh shares that "everything on their menu is made-to-order for every guest."   From a finance and business development background, Josh recognizes that "going into business for yourself, one needs to recognize their skillsets and be aware of what skillsets are needed to supplement them with, then align yourself with the right partners." And that's precisely what Capital Tacos offers to its franchisee partners. As they have scaled the brand through its corporate locations, Capital Tacos has tried, tested, and implemented the systems and processes to provide the ultimate support.   Capital Tacos also offers three different business models. Franchise owners can choose between a brick-and-mortar restaurant, a fixed trailer, or a mobile event trailer based on what is most in demand in their market and fits their financial and lifestyle goals.! Overall, the Capital Tacos franchise opportunity is an exciting and lucrative possibility for those interested in the fast-casual dining industry.   In 2022, Capital Tacos had some noteworthy economics to share. Happy Friday everybody, In this week's episode, I had the chance to sit down with a beauty guru in our own city Diana Choi. She founded a beauty bar turned brand called Pomelo located in the heart of Liberty Village in Toronto, that focuses on permanent make-up, brow and lash services, and even further education and beauty training. She's been a long friend of the podcast, and a fellow Korean Canadian who took her roots and education from Korea to build her career on Canadian soil. We talk about how she got to build Pomelo as the brand and business, Diana shares some beauty tips, and she rates my eyebrows. On today's show, we interview Danny Reed of Crooked Creek Holler who shares with us his distilled wisdom on entrepreneurship, following your gut instinct, and turning your passion into profit. More than two decades back, Danny was pursuing his art degree when he came in contact with a professional tattoo-er. Against everyone's wishes, Danny decided to drop out of college and pursue his passion.  After eight years of experience, Danny decided to branch out on his own by opening his own tattoo shop in Ashville. Danny's conviction paid off big time as his business received an encouraging response from the get-go. And over the years, he has managed to build a dream team and massively scale up his business. As he hit his thirties, Danny pursued another hobby – fly-fishing.  And akin to his experience with tattoo-ing, Danny also managed to convert his second hobby into a business when he opened up Crooked Creek Holler, a boutique selling handmade fly rods and clothing. Towards the end, Danny shares why delayed gratification is a hallmark of truly successful entrepreneurs. This is a show you do not want to miss.  Enjoy!
