So many podcasts!I thought I could make one podcast episode where I talked to some folks who podcast about horror, and it would be a one-stop-shop for folks looking for a new favorite commute time killer (hmm. commute-time killer? commute time-killer?)Well, as is often the case, it wasn't until I was in the middle of it that I realized two things:* There are so many podcasts talking about horror books.* Podcasters love to talk - so my 15-20 minute target often ended up going way longer than that.* (I know I said two, but heck this deserves a bullet) There's a ton of podcasts where the only topic is Stephen King and his books.Episode OneClick above to check out the first episode, if you haven't already. For this first installment, You'll hear from Stephanie Gagnon from BOOKS IN THE FREEZER, followed by Michael David Wilson from THIS IS HORROR.The GuestsBooks In The Freezer - Stephanie GagnonThis is Books in the Freezer, a podcast dedicated to the deliciously disturbing world of horror fiction.

David Moody is the owner of CD Moody, one of Atlanta's Top 25 Commercial Contractors. If you live in or visited Georgia, you've been impacted by some of the projects he's been involved with. Projects include the Mercedes Benz Stadium, Atlanta History Center Cyclorama, and Turner Field just to name a few. After going to school to be an architect, he later decided that he didn't want to just sit and draw all day, and he wanted to be outside in the field and putting the project together. So he decided to be a builder instead! He is also a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. Since being open and sharing his story with others, he has been an advocate for sexually abused children. He continues speaking up and being there for others who are survivors. He is an incredible person and we were honored to chat with him for a little while! Make sure you check back in on July 24th for our special with Barbie the Welder! Welcome back to The Immeasurable Podcast. I'm Leah Luong and this episode is a talk given by David Edmund Moody during the 2018 Annual May Gathering. David was the first teacher hired when Krishnamurti founded the Oak Grove School in Ojai, California, in 1975. He subsequently served as educational director of the school, which was the position he held at the time of Krishnamurti's death in 1986. He is the author of three books about Krishnamurti. His most recent book is titled Krishnamurti in America: New Perspectives on the Man and his Message (Alpha Centauri Press, 2020). David's talk is called Conflict in Relationship: Krishnamurti's View. He raises questions such as, “Can thought be aware of its own limitations?” and “If you have no relationship with nature, how can you have relationship with human beings?” His talk centers around understanding the sources of conflict in human relationship, what it means to be related, and exploring the nature and meaning of thought.I hope you enjoy it.Follow The Immeasurable on Instagram (@krishnamurti_theimmeasurable) Follow The Immeasurable on Tiktok (@j.krishnamurti)Subscribe to The Immeasurable on YouTube (@theimmeasurable)Like The Immeasurable on Facebook (facebook.com/theimmeasurable.org) Support the show (https://theimmeasurable.org/donate)

2020 was a tough year all round. And for people with a disability, and those that support them, it was a year of constant stress and anxiety, scrambling to provide disability support safely, while PPE and specific guidance for the disability sector were often in short supply. Will 2021 be any better for people with a disability, and if so, how? Today, GET REAL listeners have the rare opportunity to be a fly on the wall of our ‘virtual boardroom', as four CEOs of disability support and advocacy organisations come together to talk about the effects of repeated lockdowns, the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines, and how last year's challenges are accelerating new ways of delivering disability services.Karenza Louis-Smith, CEO of ermha365, moderates this CEO-to-CEO conversation with David Moody, CEO of National Disability Services (NDS), Australia's peak body for non-government disability service organisations; Phil Hayes-Brown, CEO of Wallara; and Stephanie Gunn, CEO of Gateways Support Services.
Owner of C D Moody Construction, Charles David Moody joins Sheila for a FUN, inspiring conversation. Mr. Moody is a generous humanitarian, an extremely hard worker, and a man who not only stands up for what he believes in, but works to provide opportunities for others. Don't miss this episode as Sheila James and Mr. Moody catch up for their college days, discuss what he's up to now, and how he got there.
Michael is joined by National Disability Services chief executive David Moody, who is calling for more employees in industries hit by COVID-19 to consider a new career. Mr Moody estimates an extra 120,000 workers are required to meet the increased demand generated by the National Disability Insurance Scheme, which was introduced in 2013. According to 2020’s ‘State of the Disability Sector Report’, almost 70 percent of disability service providers had to turn away requests for services last year because they did not have the capacity to provide them. David Moody is the owner of CD Moody, one of Atlanta’s Top 25 Commercial Contractors. If you live in or visited Georgia, you’ve been impacted by some of the projects he's been involved with. Projects include the Mercedes Benz Stadium, Atlanta History Center Cyclorama, and Turner Field just to name a few. After going to school to be an architect, he later decided that he didn’t want to just sit and draw all day, and he wanted to be outside in the field and putting the project together. One man’s victory over childhood sexual abuse. C. David Moody, Jr was a typical American middle class kid growing in the 1960’s. He played sports, went to college and professional school, had girlfriends, joined a fraternity. Later, he got married, had two children, and built a successful business. But the aftermath of revealing a devastating secret-he had been sexually abused as child-almost killed him. Sudden panic attacks. A complete nervous breakdown. Years of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Fear, shame, embarrassment, guilt, self-doubt and worry. It took decades of proper counseling; a loving and safe environment; building his spiritual faith; and forgiving his abuser, that gave him the courage to face his past, live in the present, and speak truth to other childhood sexual survivors. This book details his harrowing personal journey and healing all while raising a family and building a successful business. He learned to Fight Through The Fear. https://moodyspeaks.com

Here is a man who has accomplished so much, yet he came across as someone who felt blessed, and still appears to be hungry and eager to keep pushing toward his goals. I especially loved his input on his idea of success as he nears 60, and how that's different than what he considered success in his 20s, 30s, 40s. Of course, this interview covered so much more than business, and I was delighted that I had this opportunity to help him share his platform for reaching out to the survivors of childhood abuse. I learned a great deal in the process, and I firmly believe that this interview can and will help business professionals, business owners, survivors of abuse, and so many more. Episode 25 - Books That Should Be Movies Welcome to The Horror Writers Podcast, the show with two horror authors discussing all things in the world of horror. Today, Zach and J. discuss books they'd like to see made into movies. With so many great stories out there waiting to be told in movies or on television, there's still far too many remakes being made (which J. makes a great point about during the discussion). Zach and J. list some horror and sci-fi books that would be great on the screen. Remember to subscribe and to leave comments. Be on the lookout for new episodes being posted every Sunday. Welcome to Episode 005 of Dark Discussions, your place for the discussion of horror film, fiction, and all that’s fantastic. Once again Philip and Gordon discuss the flesh eaters known so affectionately as the walking dead and zombies. Within this episode, less familiar zombie films are brought to the attention to the listeners. Unlike the George A. Romero films and the other more well known franchises such as Resident Evil, zombie movies have been copied, ripped off, or simply reinvented by both great talents in the horror genre as well as the occasional hack. Our hosts discuss three films each that any horror or zombie aficionado should see if they haven’t seen yet. Gordon focuses on the smaller film where there is no zombie apocalypse in sight. His three recommendations are Grace, directed by Paul Solet and starring the beautiful Jordan Ladd; Deadgirl written by Troma veteran Trent Haaga; and an entry from across the pond in Norway entitled Dead Snow. Philip focuses on three older films filled with kinetic mayhem, a Spanish/English joint production sometimes known as The Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue; Ryuhei Kitamura of Midnight Meat Train renown and his extremely wild zombie film Versus; and Cannibal Ferox’s famed director Umberto Lenzi’s Nightmare City. But what about books and audio? Zombies are now appearing on page and paper, nook and nano. They’ve invaded libraries and computer desktops, perhaps easier than it had been for them to overrun malls, farm houses, and cemeteries. Our hosts talk about this new phenomena where zombie literature may have become as prolific as vampire and haunted house tales. Such authors and editors as Joe McKinney, Jonathan Maberry, Ben Tripp, Brian Keene, David Moody, Kim Paffenroth, and Stephen Jones are dissected. Titles as diverse as Stephen King’s The Cell, Jonathan Maberry’s Patient Zero, and Stephen Jones’ Zombie Apocalypse are dismembered. And a nod to the small publishing house Permuted Press gets a bite from our hosts. But wait, what was that you heard on your iPod? Zombie podcasts? Listeners beware, Dark Discussions welcomes you.
