The health Ombudsman has found that some of the patients who had been referred from the Northern Cape Mental Health Hospital to Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Hospial - and later died of hyperthemia - had literally frozen to death. This is due to electricity cable theft and vandalism. Often, we're expected to ‘move on' as quickly as possible. Yet it's only when you lose someone dear that you realize it's not such a simple task.Hopefully, this episode—and the others we've done on loss and grief—can provide a space, a moment where you can feel there is no rush and no judgment, allowing these feelings to be there if you've recently lost someone and are grieving, or even if it's been years.

Dr. Jennifer DiTrapani grew up in Connecticut, where her love for horses began and shaped much of her life and career. After moving to Florida, she graduated from the University of Florida in 2000 and went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Guided by her passion for animals, Jennifer built a successful career in veterinary medicine, co-owning three small animal hospitals with her husband, who is also a veterinarian. Dedicated to caring for others and contributing to her community, Jennifer always viewed veterinary medicine as a perfect blend of science and service. In recent years, she has chosen to scale back her clinical work to explore new endeavors. A long-time yoga practitioner since 2004, Jennifer completed her yoga teacher training in 2025 and now shares her love of yoga by teaching classes locally. Today, she balances her time between part-time veterinary work, managing her family and  businesses, and pursuing her passion for balance and wellness. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys reading, managing her never ending tbr pile, obsessing over bookstagram,  gardening, spending quality time with her three daughters, her friends, and the beloved but high maintenance pets that share her home. The death of music legend and pop-culture icon Ozzy Osbourne has sparked a series of conspiracy theories and strange behaviors. Some claim he died suddenly from a covid-shot even though their evidence is a 2021 report, meaning it must have taken 4 years to work? Others are trying to find the occult symbols that foretold his death without realizing the “Prince of Darkness” was a persona. Ozzy was actually a Christian and a practicing member of the Church of England even back in the 1990s. Yet, some Christian influencers are claiming he just heard the gospel prior to his death. Other Christians are organizing prayers for his soul which they assume is burning in hell. The revelation that items were allowed to be removed from Jeffrey Epstein's mansion by his executor is a glaring indictment of how this case has been handled from the beginning. Letting anyone associated with Epstein—particularly his close assistants or estate managers—access his property before law enforcement could fully investigate is beyond negligent; it reeks of obstruction. The fact that electronics, including hard drives and documents, were allegedly taken raises the immediate concern that critical evidence was either destroyed, hidden, or selectively preserved to protect powerful individuals. In any other criminal enterprise, this would be treated as tampering with a crime scene, not estate management.What makes this even more damning is the apparent lack of accountability or urgency from the agencies tasked with securing that property. These weren't trinkets or heirlooms being removed—they were potentially the keys to unraveling Epstein's blackmail operation and his network of co-conspirators. Send us a textA few years ago I wrote a book entitled Forgotten Saints: A Pioneer Story of Those Who Lived and Died without a Trace. In this episode I share an excerpt from Chapter 10 of that book. It's a story about how I imagined two young people falling in love in Nauvoo. That love story led to the birth of Valerian Russell, the sole survivor of his family who completed the trek across the plains to the Salt Lake Valley. Both his parents died and were buried on the plains, as were both of his siblings. It's a love story during a time of extreme trial.
