The world in Fable II is fully dynamic, interactive and mostly free roaming with no set quest path to take. Since the game takes place over a hero's lifetime, many things can change; Molyneux gave an example of a trade camp that the player could either help or destroy. Trading in such camps would increase their profit, resulting in a small town growing around them.

Bäume beim Wachsen beobachten in Fable II? The setting originally resembles Medieval Britain, with some European elements. The name Albion itself is an ancient albeit still used name for Great Britain. The period of time progresses with each game; in Fable II, Albion has advanced to an era similar to that of the Age of Enlightenment, and by Fable III the nation has been unified under a monarchy and is undergoing an "Age of Industry" similar to the real-world 18th-19th-century Industrial Revolution. In the first Fable, players assume the role of an orphaned boy who is forced into a life of heroism when bandits attack his village, kill his parents and kidnap his sister. The choices players make in the game affect the perception and reaction to their Hero by the characters of Albion and change the Hero's appearance to mirror what good or evil deeds he has performed. In addition to the main quest to learn what happened to the Hero's family, players can engage in optional quests and pursuits such as trading, romance and married life, pub gaming, boxing, exploring, and theft.[1] ________________________________________________________________________ Grab a beer, a slice of pizza and come hang out with us. Also, our hosts find a lucrative crossover idea to reinvigorate the Chuck franchise’s future. This episode brought to you by Fable II and O’Reilly Auto Parts. (Or is it? You decide!) Note: Our apologies again for the issues with Erin's audio this week. Now with 100% more stories about Fable II!   With a bunch of new games that are lauching, or have launched, this week, we get stuck talking about Surviving Mars and how hyped Kyle is (but isn't he always hyped?) and Vicious Attack Llama Apocalypse gets everyone quite excited again.    Xbox unveiled the world's first Priate Blaster, PUBG gets some future planning, Everspace goes full 4K and the adorable PixARK gets shown to the world. Lee goes down the rumor rabbit hole and starts randomly listing games that might or might not be shown at E3 or might even not be real at all. We even go over the console gaming numbers for 2017, and some of those will surprise you.    In Xboxcast News, we have hit over 500 listens under 2 months, and just want to thank you guys for joining us. You're welcome to give feedback on Twitter, Facebook, our website and even on the PodBean comments. In celebration, we have a Looking For Group event in our Xbox Live Group. Later during the discussions sessions, Zach and I discuss the Fable series, the Kinect and the Fable game made on it, discovering items of a sexual variety in Mississippi and Louisiana, and more!   Also there is an actual ending theme this time. It's the tenth episode of the GameCola Podcast! Our E3 Spectacular! Listen as Marianne Fenwick, Paul Franzen and Michael Gray discuss E3 and get far off-topic! The podcast starts off right, with Marianne refusing to join the podcast because she's too busy playing with the puppies that Michael is dog-sitting for. - Paul is pretty hesitant about Bioshock 2 and Ghostbusters the Videogame. - We argue whether or not Rick Moranis is lazy. - Wikipedia is awesome. - Paul did not like Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, but since Miyamoto is working on Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, it might be good. - Michael wants to see a Wii Zelda. This leads to discussion on Twilight Princess, Link Rides a Train, and the Zelda series in general. - Are there more Wario games than Mario games nowdays? Yes. - Marianne wants to see "a Hyrule that hasn't gone through the Industrial Revolution." - Once again, we have rumors that Sony will drop the price of the PS3. - Paul explains why the point-and-click adventure genre died. - Paul thinks Nintendo is going to announce Kid Icarus Wii. - Please don't attribute the success of the Fire Emblem series to the fact that there are Fire Emblem characters in Super Smash Bros. - We will never see an English version of Mother 3. - Will we ever see an English version of Professor Layton 2? - The in-depth summary of the Case Study of Fable II's Localization has been removed from the Internet for some reason, but it turns out that they know localization increases sales, because they have released games in certain parts of the world, then re-released localized copies of the same games, and the localized copies consistently sell better. - Michael talks about localizing Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. - Paul wants Rock Band: Weezer. Michael wants Rock Band: They Might Be Giants. Marianne wants to play with the puppies rather than participate in the podcast. - Michael's mom calls, and we ask her about Rock Band: Beatles. - Unlocking Sonic in Super Smash Bros. Brawl takes about fifty hours. - Capcom and Telltale Games are Friends of Gamecola™. - Miis are fun on the first day, but it's impossible to make one that looks realistic. - Michael wants the ability to play his DS on the TV. - Marianne is wrong—speedruns are NOT impressive when someone does it on a computer and lets the computer do all the work. END OF DISCUSSION. - And as the dogs leave for the backyard, so the GameCola Podcast Crew must leave you.

Yes, even in the mystical land of Albion, gays can get gay married. And, as Johnny finds out after some loutish behavior, gay divorced. While the menfolk populating the land might not be very attractive, that doesn't mean that you can't have some passive-aggressive relationships with them. Watch as Johnny shows you just how awkward virtual relationships can get, gaining through pie eating, and the most disappointing love scenes since Mass Effect. No, not even side boob in this one.

Due to technical difficulties (explained at the end of this week's podcast, if you're interested), we're publishing this episode a wee bit late. But we talk about a lot of games. Among them--Dragon Quest IV, Speed Racer, Portal: Still Alive, Snoopy DS, Transformers Animated, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, Dead Space, Fable II, Guitar Hero World Tour and Little Big Planet. Yes there's some spoiler talk about Dead Space. No CJ didn't like Fable II much. And we spend the last 20 minutes of the podcast not talking about games at all. But there you have it. Episode 105, people! Thanks for listening! You can leave us a voicemail comment by calling 713-893-8069 or you can send a comment via MP3 to our email address, playeronepodcast@gmail.com.
