Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Billie T, George Achillea, Adam Nathan and Gary Ward in this bumper edition of Last Word On Spurs. We reflect on Igor Tudor remaining in the Spurs job for now and to take charge of tonight's Champions League last-sixteen second leg tie against Atlético Madrid, where we debate the team he can select from, where on the eve it was confirmed that Skipper Cristian Romero, Lucas Bergvall and Destiny Udogie all return from injury, while Micky van de Ven, who played in the first leg in Madrid, is available after missing Sunday's Premier League draw at Liverpool due to suspension. However it's not all positive news on the injury front with Dominic Solanke understood to have a 'small problem' which will be assessed on the eve of the game and Conor Gallagher understood to have contracted a virus. It's a critical game on Sunday for the two teams directly below the drop zone and it's one neither will feel they can afford to lose! On Clash of the Correspondents James is joined by Tottenham Hotspur fan Ricky Saunders and Nottingham Forest fan Mark Sutherns to discuss the latest at their clubs and a battle to survive that neither would have wanted to be a part of. There's also coverage of what fate may face Igor Tudor or Vitor Pereira should Sunday end in defeat, thoughts on the other competitors towards the bottom of the table and the systems that may be used in the game with both capable of playing either three or four at the back. Plus, there may be FPL interest too in some assets with Fantasy managers potentially looking at one week punts such as Richarlison or Morgan Gibbs-White and those who have used their Wildcard they may even want to look for a bit longer, because despite respective struggles the two teams sit as the top two on James' ticker for the next four gameweeks. With huge results up and down the table, as well as a record broken in dramatic fashion, it felt like the biggest weekend in the Premier League season so far.Musa and Ryan chat about Arsenal's win over Everton, where Max Dowman came on, changed the game and became the Premier League's youngest ever goalscorer, in a late 2-0 win.It was made even more important due to West Ham and Manchester City's 1-1 draw, which was a huge result for Nuno Espírito Santo, but a costly one for Pep Guardiola. The same scoreline happened at Anfield, where Spurs equalised late against Liverpool, to stop their losing streak. There's chat about Michael Carrick's Manchester United, who bounced back with an impressive win over Aston Villa, before a quick bit on the week coming up for Arsenal and Manchester City. Only 12 goals scored from 9 games so far in Gameweek 30 which means clean sheet returns for some, but lots of blankers for others. And the big winners once again may well have been Bruno Fernandes captainers who once again banked a double digit return at Old Trafford. All the games reviewed as Arsenal left it late, but extended their lead over Manchester City who dropped points at a resolute West Ham, but The Hammers still dind themselves in the bottom three after all their rivals also drew. 10 man Leeds held on fairly comfortably at Palace, Richarlison scored late to earn Tottenham an unlikely point at an underwhelming Liverpool who benched both Mo Salah and Hugo Ekitike, but Nottingham Forest it may feel like a missed opportunity after they failed to score against Fulham. Plus, a reminder of what could happen with the postponed Manchester City v Crystal Palace fixture, one and two week transfers on mind and longer-term views on players also covered for those without a Wildcard. It was a gritty win for Arsenal, but one lit up by the talent of 16 year old Max Dowman. Just how good is he? The stats say there is a simple way to get points off Liverpool - go long. Spurs proved the point on Sunday. Can Slot fix it? And is Richarlison Tudor's man for the run in?Man City again dropped points, is a team built around Haaland faltering now the striker is struggling to find the goals? What was going on at Chelsea with a bizarre pre match huddle, and would anyone care if they had won instead of lost to Newcastle?Lastly, a pitch to give Bruno Fernandes player of the season, as he chases Henry and De Bruyne's assist record.Gregor Robertson is joined by Tom Allnutt, Hamzah Khalique Loonat and Gary Jacobs Hosted on Acast.
