Episode 382."From" Actor: Avery Konrad. (Sara). You can currently find Avery Konrad as "Sara" in the MGM+ hit, "From"Avery and I talk about her role in "From", her career and so much more.Avery Konrad is an actress from British Columbia. From bringing characters to life in film and television to performing on stage, Avery Konrad is quickly becoming "one to watch" in the entertainment industry. This year, Konrad can be seen starring in Epix's contemporary sci-fi horror series, "FROM". The series unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town in middle America that traps all those who enter. As the unwilling residents fight to keep a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest - including the terrifying creatures that come out when the sun goes down. Konrad shines as Sara Myers, a true wild card among the town's residents: some think her mind was simply fractured by the residents of the town; others wonder if, in her madness, Sara is closer to the secrets of this place than anyone else. "FROM" premieres on February 20, 2022.In film, Konrad is set to star in Paramount+ "Honor Society", alongside Angourie Rice (Mare of Eas*own), Gaten Matarazzo (Stranger Things, Prank Encounters), and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Super Bad, Kick-Ass). The film tells the story of Honor (Rice), a high school senior whose sole focus is getting into Harvard. Willing to do whatever it takes, Honor plans to take down her top three student competitors, until things take a turn when she unexpectedly falls for her biggest competition. "Honor Society" is slated to release in late 2022.Additionally, Konrad was recently seen as Chance Sinclair, leading Amazon's horror-thriller, "Broil", opposite Timothy Murphy and Jonathan Lipnicki. The film premiered in fall 2020 and follows Chance after she is sent to live with her reclusive grandfather (Murphy). As she seeks to uncover the true origin of her eccentric grandfather's exorbitant wealth-and a mysterious familial health condition going back generations-she is caught between two warring factions of the family. Konrad was also seen portraying Roan Harper, sister to Juliette Lewis, in the acclaimed Facebook Watch series, "Sacred Lies: The Singing Bones". The series received rave reviews and was included in Paste Magazine's, "12 Best TV Shows on Facebook Watch". Additional credits include recurring roles in ABC's "The Good Doctor, Neelix's "Van Helsing", and CBC's "Unspeakable".Born in Vancouver, Konrad was bit by the acting bug at a young age, when she took an intensive at the Vancouver Film School and performed her first monologue. The experience felt magical to her and that spark s[ll remains to this day. Konrad landed her first role as Gina Sarland in R.L Stein's "The Haunting Hour" series (2012) and has been working ever since.Welcome, Avery Konrad.Monday Morning Critic: Instagram, TiKTok, YouTube and Facebook.www.imdb.com/title/tt12597724/www.mmcpodcast.com

We waste an entire episode playing ten thousand questions with Neel.
Trying new things can be intimidating and it's usually something we avoid as creatures of habit. But if we just bite the bullet and go out of our comfort zone, we might just discover new things about ourselves (02:01). In this episode, I talk about new things I've been trying: new shows, books, games, apps, practices (07:22). And to celebrate the new podcast artwork, I think about what it was like to start this show back in 2019, how new it felt to me, what's changed since then (21:36), and how the idea "done is better than perfect" encouraged me to jump into the world of podcasting (24:38). Hopefully, you can apply that mentality in some aspects of your life too. :) If you want to share your own story, just click here or go to bit.ly/heynikki. The global pandemic continues, and a third COVID wave currently sweeps our part of the world. But there's hope on the horizon. The vaccine rollout is accelerating, and a recent poll suggests more than 60 percent of people are willing to go to the movies again. What's all this got to do with the latest podcast... From The Basement? Well, this week we're talking the upcoming Kamloops Film Festival with society director Dusan Magdolen! The festival goes online when it kicks off this Wednesday, April 21, and heads to the drive in. Dusan reveals some of the festival highlights, how people can watch at home, and more. This might not mean much to our global listeners, but it's a big deal for local movie fans. And what Dusan and company are doing could change the face of film festivals post pandemic. But this isn't a talk show, so to speak. Jason and Shawn got movies to review... which I guess, given this is a podcast and all, means this really is a talk show... Anyway, the Dynamic Duo take on Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer in Netflix's Thunder Force, the latest season of Prank Encounters, and a Liam Neeson action movie. Yup, Liam Neeson is still making action movies. And you get to hear it all right here, right now, by pushing play. Stick with us!

Hello everyone. I've released two episodes this week. One is called what the adults should be watching and this is the other one. In this episode titled what the kids should be watching, I line you up with some of Remi and Rocco Radke's favorite things that they are currently watching or just finished watching. Of which there are many. This idea came from one of my viewers who watches my two precious knuckleheads everyday on their Facebook Live show called Reminade. It comes on Monday through Friday at 3 p.m. Central Time. For some odd reason, this viewer thinks they have enough sense to help her find good quality television for her kids. Show Notes: [01:04] A listener asks for Rocco and Remi's TV advice. They had everything but Netflix. They ordered Netflix today. [03:09] Everyone parents differently. What works for us may not work for you. [03:46] You have to do your own homework. If you don't, you're going to be very mad at me. [04:13] When I mention a show, it does not mean that both Remi and Rocco have watched it. [05:17] Remi really likes Ghost Rider on Apple TV. They also have Snoopy In Space. [06:05] I don't have to tell you about Disney+ They already have Frozen 2, and you can spend $19.99 to watch Onward. [06:43] Hulu is my favorite place to introduce my kids to The Brady Bunch, Dick Van Dyke, Family Matters, and Perfect Strangers. [07:45] We also watched the Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library. We also watched The Miracle Season. [07:58] Remi's favorite show is Good Girl's on Netflix. It was Stranger Things. [09:33] Both kids loved A Series of Unfortunate Events and Prank Encounters. [09:42] Remi and my granny loved the Umbrella Academy and Locke & Key. [10:06] Remi's all-time favorite was Lost In Space. [10:18] We just discovered On My Block. And Remi loves What's New, Scooby-Doo? [11:17] The last show I'll leave you with is on the IMDb app. The show is The Middle. We love this show. [12:13] This next week is going to be tough. Let your kids be kids. Links and Resources: Eat Cake. We’re watching Prank Encounters this week. I don’t know what more to say about it that we don’t say on the podcast. This Gaten kid seems like a real monster, so if you don’t want to ruin your perceptions of Dustin from Stranger Things, maybe don’t watch this show. Definitely listen to this podcast episode. In the middle of pride month Joan and Matt accelerate out of the capitalist hell-scape that is the ever-expanding force of corporate sponsorship exploiting The Gay Agenda. We talk about our consistent efforts to de-platform Alyssa Milano, Biden’s visit to Stonewall, spiral into a topic we decided to save for tomorrow’s impromptu-deep-dive, get into BuzzFeed’s continued efforts to unionize, see an update from James Charles post-Tati drama, mention the The Daily Beast’s expose on Max Landis, talk Netflix’s new ‘Prank Encounters’ show, and Facebook’s emerging Crypto-currency! Also stay tuned Friday for our mini deep-dive on Out.com and the state of corporate-pride sponsorship, and our upcoming YouTube mini series next month! Already got Democratic debate hangover? #Millennial is here to commiserate your feelings of exhaustion with the US’s campaign process. Is Taylor Swift’s “You need to calm down” this summer’s gay anthem? We place bets on which of the Democratic debates will be worth watching. The Trump campaign has fired several of its own internal pollsters because facts. Our $10 Patreon tier (formerly known as Facebook Official) has gotten a re-brand to BAE. BAE can mean whatever you want it to mean! In this week’s mailbag, we dive into the need for colorblind casting, online advertising, and more insight on reasons for going vegan. We’re joined this week by our BAE supporter Graham, who fills us in on his upcoming true crime novel (https://www.amazon.com/dp/1467142565/ref=nav_timeline_asin?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) about the 1984 murder of Jeffrey Heagerty. Check it out and pre-order here! In the news, we go over some data about American dads in light of Father’s Day, theorize what the Hunger Games prequel could be about, and heavily judge Gaten Matarazzo’s new Netflix show “Prank Encounters,” which seeks to make unsuspecting jobseekers think they’ve landed a gig, only to pull the rug out from under them. We’ve got a variety of recommendations for you this week, starting with HBO’s Big Little Lies (Andrew), Costa Rica’s 1820 coffee (Laura), Spindrift sparking water (Pam), and Bibliotech (https://www.amazon.com/BiblioTech-Libraries-Matter-More-Google-ebook/dp/B00TT1VL8Q/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=Bibliotech&qid=1560872914&s=books&sr=1-1) , a book about why libraries matter in the age of Google (Graham). Support #Millennial by supporting our sponsors! And in this week’s installment of After Dark, available on Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/posts/mega-millennial-27723391) : The culture of oversharing. What is it, why do people do it, and have we ever been guilty? Oversharing can come in the form of TMI, exaggerating, excessive judginess, and more. Laura puts on her valley-girl voice to make fun of some overshares she experienced at dinner the other night. When are some times when oversharing might come in handy? We learn that Andrew is the most humble among us, and somehow end up talking about the oversharing habits of our favorite King of Clickbait.
