Maggie Speaks With Drummer, Producer Gregg Field About Ella At The Hollywood Bowl: The Irving Berlin Songbook - Eight-time Grammy and 2018 Emmy winner (including Latin Grammy “Producer of the Year”) Gregg Field is one of the most musically diverse and highly sought-after producers, musicians and educators in music.World class musicians and singers — a veritable who's who of music, including Michael Buble, Placido Domingo, Pharrell Williams, Josh Groban, Garth Brooks, Alejandro Sanz, Stevie Wonder, Barbara Streisand, Frank Sinatra and Quincy Jones — are among his many musical collaborators.Starting at age 19, Field toured with, among others, Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra, and he can be heard on Sinatra's historic, multi-platinum Duets and Duets II recordings.Ella Fitzgerald's "Songbook" records - with her peerless renditions of the best songs from iconic composers from Irving Berlin to Rogers & Hart to Cole Porter to George & Ira Gershwin - are the cornerstone of the Verve catalog and the standard for jazz vocal recordings. Ella never released a live version of these Songbooks. This record, discovered in the private collection of Norman Granz, will make the first time a live Songbook has been released from the First Lady of Song. Al has worked with children through creative art organisations and local authority play services. Al has also toured the UK and East Coast USA performing her music. There are different types of sign language, British sign language or BSL is the primary language used for deaf people, and less than 1 in 10 people in the UK know more than two words in British Sign Language. There is also Makaton tht uses symbols sign and speech to support communication. Sign language isn't always an alternative to speech, it can be used to support speech. Why use signing in your school? How can you introduce it to all students? How can your staff learn? Why is it important? Visual communication methods such as Makaton support spoken language and help everyone understand. Many schools do not use signing, some do but only in a class with a child with send, but there is evidence to show kinaesthetic learning is your secret weapon as well as being inclusive, fun, creative, supportive, respectful and beautiful! (recorded over zoom) 19th-century “medicine shows” marketed cure-alls in a moveable feast of showmanship that compelled rural pain sufferers to exchange hard-earned cash for “miracle” elixirs, tonics, and liniments. Most of these treatments were dubious at best, dangerous at worst. But these shows were more than just a particularly vivid chapter in America’s long history of rewarding savvy hustlers peddling questionable products. The medicine show was also a vitally important social phenomenon, providing unique social and economic mobility for people who had talent, but were otherwise shut out from the opportunities of  post-Reconstruction America. Join Dr. Karen Bellinger as she speaks with writer and historian Deb Hunter about the role of Snake Oil Salesmen in the early days of the pharmaceutical industry.

Kevin James is a chant leader from Australia who has developed from years of experience, the art of leading ecstatic chant and open heart connection with his voice, mantras and heartsongs. He travels the globe constantly with the intention and vision of joining with others who feel the call to re-connect to source and remember who we are beyond the illusions of ego. His intention is to contribute to the conscious movement using group gatherings of devotional singing of Mantras and HeartSongs to bring us to a closer connection to source. Kevin believes from this state of being we can naturally and easily be kind and harmonious in our existence… He says: “It’s like a remembering. In a world where forgetting who we are has become normal, its destructive patterns have left us in an apparent life or death situation. We can remember together and support one another.” After being turned on to his amazing music during a yoga class in India, through Divine Grace, I connected with him in Bali, and was blessed to have this time with him. As a happy surprise, Kevin mentioned the Rainbow Gathering during the interview, and we had a deep discussion about what it is and what happens there. By Divine alignment, I’m publishing this interview from the South of France and tomorrow I am on my way to a Rainbow Gathering in Italy, my first International Gathering, and I’m so looking forward to it, and of course, I’ll share about it with you when I return. It’s been a handful of years since I’ve been to a gathering and the idea of being back in that loving vibration really makes my heart smile. I hope you enjoy this interview, and find some value in the medicine that Kevin is serving up. Make sure to check out the show notes to get links to his work. And hopefully, one day, you can find your way to a heartsong circle or retreat with him. I did make it to one of his offerings in bali before I left, where he walked us through the chakra toning exercise he talks about in the interview. I found it to be really deep and balancing, and I urge you to download it and give it a try yourself. Find the show notes at visionary-lifestyle.com/podcast Loving you, my Rainbow Warriors.
