Ever wonder how much power God's Word truly holds? Join us, Tim Webb and Dr. David Klingler, in a riveting discussion that illuminates the profound teachings of Ezekiel 36. We delve into the crucial role of pastors, the importance of spiritual truth, and how being begotten by God is the gateway to eternal life. We also cast light on the compelling dichotomy between those who accept Jesus as Christ and those who don't. We continue to challenge your understanding of sin and Christ's role in your life. We dissect the Gospel of John, revealing its potent themes of life and the removal of sin. Yet, we warn about the sin that leads to death - a bar too high for forgiveness. Reflect with us on God's mercy and love, and understand why our full dependence on His grace is more than just a spiritual luxury - it's an existential necessity. Finally, we venture into the terrain of love, mercy, and their pivotal role in relationships. Learn how to test the spirits and distinguish between the confession and rejection of Jesus. We discuss how God's love and mercy towards us should guide our treatment of others, underlining the importance of extending mercy once we recognize our need for it. The Mayor of a small city along the Wasatch Front is getting a pay raise dreams are made of for many of us -- 67% ... she'll earn an annual salary of $136,000 a year. But this pay bump comes with a twist -- how it happened.   The mayor appoints members of a commission, the city council appoints a member of the commission -- and then the commission is sidelined and pay increases go forth. It's clear the city of South Salt Lake now has a battle on its hands. A lot of experiences are lost in the digital age. We get so accustomed to seeing places virtually on a screen, or reading pieces built for short bursts that when a book like the World Atlas of Beer comes along we all should take notice.  This 3rd edition is completely revised and authors Tim Webb and Stephen Beaumont take us on a tour of the world through its beer culture. This isn't a travel book per se, but an examination of what each country has created in the brewing space, what it aspires to be, and what we can expect or look to appreciate when we visit for ourselves.  The authors are proper writers and travelers and their collective knowledge, inquisitive nature, and discerning palates are evident in each page.  Now, about the authors: Tim Webb spent six years on the board of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) where he ran Britain's national beer festival and co-founded CAMRA's publishing company. He has written Good Beer Guide Belgium continuously since 1992 and has won awards for beer writing in four countries.   Stephen Beaumont is the author or co-author of ten additional books about beer, including The Beer & Food Companion, and two editions of The Pocket Beer Book, and a contributor to many others. He's hosted tastings, dinners, and educational events around the globe.   Get a copy of this book. The World Atlas of Beer should be in your collection and well thumbed through before you put it up on a shelf for later reference. What makes this book special is not just the country entries, but the included maps, the sidebars, photos and graphics. Digital can't compete with that on this scope, and getting lost in the pages for a while is a great vacation for the brain as you plot out your next real trip for beer. This Episode is sponsored by:NZ HopsNZ Hops, the co-operative of Master Hop Growers are a passionate collective of farms dedicated to innovation and sustainability. The pandemic has been a weird experience for everyone. Everything suddenly stopped, things went quiet, we became trapped in our homes for months on end. Even for the most stable among us, the experience was unsettling. For my guest today, the pandemic was anomalous in an entirely different way. Newly returned to the US after more than a decade living abroad, writer Joe Stange and his two children moved to a family farm in rural Missouri and then found themselves sort of stuck there as COVID hit. After years in bustling, major international metropolises, his life became about quietly homebrewing in a barn and helping his kids deal with school via Zoom. Joe is one of my favorite people in the beer world. He's a writer's writer. Clever, smart, thorough, and thoughtful. At times intense, focused, but also given to a sort of knowing humor, he's an entirely enjoyable drinking partner. While Joe is serious about beer, dedicated to it in a way that is not just ephemeral or about the alcohol or the scene, he also knows its place and not to take it too seriously. Joe is a trained journalist, having received a proper education at one of the country's best journalism schools, Mizzou, and trained at the Associated Press. And while his background provided him with a solid foundation on which to build his freelancing and writer career, it was his wife Kelly's career that in a roundabout way led to his work as a beer journalist. Kelly has long worked as a diplomat with the US Department of Agriculture, helping to promote and protect American interests abroad. And her work has taken their family to Brussels, Costa Rica, Berlin, and now Bangkok. It was this first location, Brussels, where Joe really became involved in the beer world. He developed a love of Belgian beer and began writing about it, eventually leading to his work as a co-author with Tim Webb of the excellent Good Beer Guide Belgium. Joe would go on to write another book, Around Brussels in 80 Beers, and contribute to many magazines. He's now the managing editor of Craft Beer & Brewing.Joe was locked down in quarantine for several weeks after arriving in Bangkok, and it was late his time and very early mine when we connected via Zoom for our chat. We haven't seen each other in a couple of years and so our conversation ran more than twice as long as I expected. So we're going to break our conversation up into two episodes. On this first one, Joe and I talk about the experience of being a diplomatic spouse, about what it was like to return to the states after so long abroad, and how he came to contemplate and capture the essence of a tree during the pandemic. We also talk about his passion for writing about the technical side of brewing, whether lagers and saisons will ever truly have their day, and about tradition, style, and whether the classic beer bar can survive. For more information on the Beer Edge Podcast, follow us on Twitter @thebeeredge. They both had entrepreneurial goals during their childhood and things took off when they discovered that they could build wealth through real estate. They individually had a total of 19 doors before closing on a 9 unit property together near the University of South Carolina where they both went to school. Although they had success individually, they believe they could get even further by collaborating. In this episode we discuss the importance of recognizing opportunity, teamwork, rehabbing properties, the South Carolina real estate market and more.   Show Sponsor-- @mintinc_usa How to Find Them IG- @leethegoat, @morethana9to5 @alihoncho Website - https://www.morethana9to5.com/ Buy Black the Block Ebook- https://www.morethana9to5.com/ebooks Highlights  Consider getting a Roth IRA, maxing it out and using it to invest in real estate. In this episode of the Confidence Mastery: Unlock Your Life Podcast, Natalie talks to Chris Knight and Tim Webb on how you can gain body confidence. First off, learn to accept your own body and learn how to be confident.  If you can improve it by being fit and healthy, then by all means, do it! Listen as they discuss the following topics: the law of attraction, different workouts, routines, fitness setbacks, getting your dream girl, finding your primary drive, and many more. KEY TAKEAWAYS It was when Tim joined the West End Productions that he finally got into fitness. He became health conscious since looking good and being graceful are parts of the job. There was a time though that he neglected his health and body—he started smoking and became overweight amongst other bad habits. He realised that the body can only take enough toxicity and decided to do something about it. Routines aren’t for everyone. For Tim, he likes it that when there isn’t any pressure. No constraints, no deadlines. Tim also emphasises on the enormous difference of feeling good and looking good. Feeling good is what you want to aim for. But, if you want to look good, he suggested the benchmark workouts from CrossFit. What keeps Tim going? Tim answered, “What kept me going is realising that until I literally, physically can’t do it anymore, I will always be able to consider new things.” What can one do so to feel confident with their bodies and themselves? Don’t be afraid to ask for help from someone. Find a fitness program that works for you. Chris advises that if you want to better yourself, you need to do it for yourself and not for others. Hypnotherapy helped Chris in his focus and mindset. This is how he reached his goals incrementally. What keeps Chris motivated? Chris’ happiness lies in finding the right girl for him. So, what’s the best way to show her dream girl he’s the best fit? By looking good, staying fit, and living healthier. As Chris phrases the Law of Attraction, ‘what you put out, you get back’. Your thought processes will help you in how you reach your goals. You’re able to attract success when you take better action. It’s easier to attain your goals when you have a winning mindset. You feel that you have control over your own progress. It’s easier to remove doubts and let the process do its work. BEST MOMENTS “Just getting out there and being active is the right thing.” - Tim “The constant ability to learn new things, explore new things, and realise that you’re doing just this one kind of fitness doesn’t necessarily mean you know everything.” - Tim “Looking good is an opinion; feeling good is a fact.” - Tim “What keeps me going is knowing for a fact that the journey will never end.” - Tim “We can’t always cater to everyone and make everybody happy.” – Tim “Love yourself, and everything will get attracted to you.” – Chris “I want to be happy; that’s the end result I want.” – Chris “Try to change one habit at a time. Don’t do it all at once.” – Chris VALUABLE RESOURCES Insanity Workout Rob Moore - https://robmoore.com/ Confidence Mastery Podcast - https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/confidence-mastery-unlock-your-life-podcast/id1497917418 ABOUT THE GUESTS TIM WEBB Tim has been a professional actor for the past 12 years performing all over the world. He has performed in the Phil Collins' Disney musical Tarzan in Hamburg, Germany, the first UK tour of Wicked and in the West End in The Book of Mormon. Over the last few years, he has become for want of a better word, psyched about fitness and motivating others to achieve their fitness goals. From complete amateur doing Insanity in his parents' living room, he now teaches fitness classes in London at various locations. He is the co-founder of Target Time, a community running programme and website and also of Kinsman Property, an investment company he founded with his brother Edward. Tim has done the full Couch to 5K experience and last year achieved a podium finish in his age group at Spartan Race Scotland. His future goals include; becoming a silver fox, competing in a masters category at a CrossFit event and mastering the art of cooking the perfect Vegan nut roast. For years he had issues with self-esteem, confidence, body weight fluctuation and depression. Following a relationship breakdown, he decided to use the emotion to fuel a total body and mind transformation. After losing 25lbs and becoming more aesthetically pleasing, he realised that the core reason that he had wanted to do this was to be happy. After following the process of the dieting and the mindset change, Chris realised that happiness comes from within. The external changes to his appearance weren't even necessary but they had been the catalyst to understanding that external changes are just at surface level. When Chris embraced that we have to change how we feel about ourselves internally before anything else matters; his life began to change for the better. Having undergone, and maintaining, his personal body and mindset Transformation; he is now applying the same principles and habits used for dieting into his professional life as he writes a book on mental health and launches his property business. Chris believes that anybody is capable of the same process. If you make the decision to start, as you progress, the positive changes will compound over time giving you results that you desire. https://www.facebook.com/chris.knight.1804 email: cdknight@live.co.uk ABOUT THE HOST Natalie is the Confident Entrepreneur, helping others be confident and successful in health, wealth & happiness with kick-ass coaching at Gold Star Life. This week we welcome a new microphone for Pete, a new producer for the show and, most importantly, our guest influential Canadian beer writer Stephen Beaumont. Stephen has been writing about beer since the early 1990s and has written, co-written or contributed to a dozen books, including The Pocket Beer Guide (Pocket Beer Book 2014 in the U.K.) and  The World Atlas of Beer, both co-written with Tim Webb. A true beer insider, Stephen retains an outsider's eye and a quick wit as is demonstrated by the following post on his site last year... EVERY Beer is Now an IPA That's it! Give up, people, because beer style no longer matters. In the wake of white IPAs, black IPAs, Belgian IPAs and session IPAs, we might as well accept it: All beers are now IPAs! When you think about it, it works wonderfully. No more fussing with ales vs. lagers; now we just have warm-fermented and cold-fermented IPAs. Thirsty for a pilsner? Have this cold-fermented session IPA instead. Trappist ale? Nope, that's a non-secular, high malt IPA. Kölsch Try cold-conditioned, low hop IPA. Even Bud Light is now an IPA, except it's a cold-fermented, low-flavour profile, ultra-session IPA. Our conversation with Stephen is wide ranging, including discussing whether the US scene is too insular. It's a great chat. Producer: Lachie Mackintosh
