Intoxicating Whispers are those thoughts that sound good enough to follow, but dangerous enough to destroy you. The market teaches you that noise gets loud when emotions get high. Everybody got a Hot Tip, a prediction, a shortcut promising quick money. But disciplined investors don't move off whispers, they move off conviction, fundamentals, and strategy. Life works the same way. Everything speaking to you ain't sent by GOD. Some voices feed your ego while starving your purpose. Some opportunities look profitable but cost you peace. That's why discernment is wealth. Learn to recognize the difference between what excites you and what aligns you, because sometimes the most expensive decision you'll ever make starts with a whisper that sounded too good to ignore.Join our Exclusive Patreon!!! Thursday, August 27th: Apparently I've entered my “try new things” era.I've been thinking about why so many of us stop learning, experimenting, and picking up new hobbies once we become adults. I recently started getting into art, painting, drawing with markers, learning about different techniques, and I am OBSESSED. My entire algorithm is basically art now, I'm taking art classes this fall, and I genuinely can't remember the last time I was this excited to be a complete beginner at something.I'm also taking tennis lessons, attempting to actually get better at a new sport. We're talking about why hobbies and learning new skills are so important as adults, especially when they have absolutely nothing to do with being productive, making money, or being “good” at them.I'm also sharing why September is my personal New Year. With back-to-school season approaching, I'm thinking about how I want my fall routine to look: creating a better work schedule, intentionally leaving white space in my calendar, and getting back into a supplement routine that I can actually stick with. I'm sharing the five supplements I'm planning to take and why I'm keeping the routine simple.Plus, we're chatting about Apple's Education Store and pricing, some new Apple features that are absolutely blowing my mind and making me wish I could be a student again. The new MacBook Neo has been loaned to us and it's adorable, super approachable, and is the perfect starter laptop for Milo to begin learning the basics and getting comfortable using a computer before he eventually needs one for school.THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS!AquaOmega - For your daily dose of Omega-3's, go to myaquaomega.com/MOMROOM and use code MOMROOM for 20% off.Bellesa - Today's episode is sponsored by Bellesa Boutique! John Hope Bryant explains what it means to be an “operating entrepreneur” as he records from a quiet late-night retreat in Wailea, Maui, to show how silence fuels thinking and wealth creation. Responding to a viral clip about poor neighborhoods being noisy and wealthy ones quiet, he argues the real divider is economics (“green”), not race, and that poverty removes peace, time, and mental bandwidth. He links stability and quiet to focused attention, strategy, ideas, intellectual property, ownership, assets, wealth, wellness, and longevity, citing Operation HOPE’s Financial Wellness Index showing higher credit-score neighborhoods correlate with longer life expectancy. He warns smartphones and the attention economy recreate “noise” anywhere, urges protecting attention, prioritizing the important over the urgent, and moving from labor to ownership by creating and owning ideas.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Jon Herold and Burning Bright open with the escalating US Canada trade dispute, breaking down a clip from US Trade Representative Jameson Greer disputing the media narrative around a last minute tariff postponement gone sideways. There's real skepticism here about who actually backed out of the deal and why the coverage seems tilted. From there it's a stretch of speculation around the CIA director's overnight trip to meet with Russian officials, with theories ranging from Iran sanctions messaging to something involving England, before the hosts settle on a more mundane explanation. The back half shifts to Elon Musk's newly announced Terrafab project, reportedly set to be one of the largest physical structures on Earth, and what it means when Trump's data center rhetoric and Musk's building plans start looking suspiciously coordinated. A August 2025 flashback clip also gets revisited for context.

In this episode, I share a profound experience I had with a group of elder rescue horses at a retreat I hosted—and how they helped me see strength in a different way.A circle formed with four horses, six women, and two dogs, all coming together by some unseen force. And in that circle, the horses showed us that strength doesn't have to be about dominance or power. That experience led me to reflect on my own leadership and the qualities I once believed made a leader “strong”—qualities I didn't possess. I've come to understand that my quieter way of leading—listening, reflecting, creating space, and bringing different perspectives together—is its own kind of strength. It's what I bring to the circle. This episode asks you to consider: What do you bring that strengthens your circle? Revisiting an important episode this week with Dr. Alison Yeung, family physician and creator of @thesmartphoneeffectmd, where she talks all things smartphones, social media, and (of course) kids. Why are so many parents struggling to set screen time boundaries? How is technology impacting our kids' mental health, attention spans, and motivation? And how do we navigate platforms like Roblox, YouTube Kids, and even school-issued iPads?Renee and Dr. Yeung get real about balancing technology use, setting routines, and why it's not just about “parenting harder”—it's about pushing back against industries designed to hook our kids. If you've ever wondered when to give your child a phone (or if they really need one), how to protect their downtime, or how your phone habits shape theirs, this is a must-listen.FOLLOW ALISON:Instagram: @thesmartphoneeffectmdTHANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS!AquaOmega - For your daily dose of Omega-3's, go to myaquaomega.com/MOMROOM and use code MOMROOM for 20% off.Bellesa - Today's episode is sponsored by Bellesa Boutique! After months of living in fight-or-flight that no doctor could explain, Beth, aka The Garbage Mom, figured out the cause herself... She was on the wrong dose of progesterone! She joins The Mom Room this week to talk perimenopause, hormones, and how much of women's health women are still left to research on their own. Beth also shares how she was diagnosed with celiac disease a year ago, after five years of iron infusions and a hematologist who told her that as long as she was getting her period, she'd keep needing them.Renee and Beth get into the symptoms nobody warns you about: the sudden food aversions, the phase where everything smells like onions, cereal for dinner three times a week, and the 3AM wake-ups where one small worry suddenly feels like life or death. Both started making content in 2020, so they also compare notes on what six years of it has done to their lives — the pull to turn every moment into a post, the boundaries Beth set after hitting a rock bottom a few months ago, and her decision to keep her 10-year-old daughter offline entirely.Beth is an actor and sketch comedian, and she's currently building something special... August 13th, 2026: What does being "productive" actually mean when you stop comparing your life to hundreds of other people's lives online? In this solo episode of The Mom Room, I'm chatting about a few things that have been on my mind lately, starting with the fact that I've somehow fallen back into my old habit of making MASSIVE to-do lists. Summer has been amazing, but being out of our normal routine, constantly changing schedules, and trying to fit work into unpredictable weeks has definitely made staying organized a little harder. I'm already looking ahead to September and some new work habits I want to try, including time blocking and being much more intentional about what actually needs to get done.I also share my ridiculously quick and easy morning makeup routine with our friends at MERIT Beauty. Getting ready has never been easier, and it fits perfectly with this season of wanting things to feel simpler, not more complicated. Then we get into another major change I've noticed since I stopped mindlessly scrolling social media: I've completely changed the way I think about productivity. When you're constantly consuming other people's routines, workouts, meals, businesses, homes, parenting, habits and endless "productive day in my life" content, it's very easy to feel like you're never doing enough. Since I stopped watching what everyone else is doing, I'm much more relaxed about my own days. I'm focusing on what I actually want to prioritize instead of subconsciously adopting everyone else's priorities. And finally... I clarify what I meant when I said on Instagram Stories this week that I cannot stand the "woe is me" content people post for engagement. Because apparently I had some thoughts.

A gentle five minutes for the quiet that has been walking beside you all day.If the day has asked a great deal of you, and you are finally still, this whisper is for you. Ava offers a soft reframe — the quiet inside you is not a gap to be filled. It is a presence, a companion, the part of you that does not need to be impressive to be present. You will not be scolded here. The quiet does not keep score, does not leave when you are hard to love, and does not require you to be calm before it will sit down beside you. It is the smallest kind of love there is — a love that has been quietly folding itself into your days for as long as you can remember. Some nights the quiet comes closer than other nights, and some nights it stays at the edge of the room, and either way it is yours. You do not have to earn it. You only have to let it be there.Settle in. Dr. Justin Garcia is the Executive Director of the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University, chief scientific advisor to Match, and the author of the new book The Intimate Animal. He joins Em and Cass for a wide-ranging conversation on why modern intimacy feels so hard, and why he's optimistic about it anyway. They get into the intimacy crisis (why we can be surrounded by people and still feel lonely), the "all-or-nothing" marriage model that's crushing modern relationships, the real story behind the sex recession and why declining frequency might not be a bad thing, the biology of monogamy versus sexual novelty (and the three ways couples navigate that tension), why 80% of marriages actually got stronger during the pandemic, and how dating apps are breaking our brains by tricking us into thinking every person is disposable. Plus the stat that 70% of people become deeply attracted to someone they didn't initially think they would, why the "work on yourself first" culture might be keeping you single, and the line Justin's built his relationship advice around: the grass is greener where you water it. In this episode, I'm joined by Tanya Chomyk, author of Bringing Light to Loss, for a deeply moving conversation about grief, loss, resilience, and finding our way forward when life changes in ways we never expected.Tanya shares her deeply personal journey of losing her infant son and the many years it took to find meaning in that loss. We talk about allowing ourselves to truly feel our emotions, creating anchors to hold onto when life feels unsteady, and learning to have a relationship with grief rather than trying to push it away.Tanya also introduces her powerful distinction between “clean pain” and “dirty pain,” and shares her five-step approach to navigating loss and major life transitions: creating a safe space to feel, practicing self-compassion, finding moments of joy and gratitude, seeking connection when we're ready, and pacing our pain. This is a conversation about love, loss, healing, and the quiet ways resilience is built over time. And perhaps most importantly, it's a reminder that we don't have to see the light right away. Sometimes, we simply need to take the next breath, trust the process, and allow healing to unfold quietly.About Tanya ChomykTania Chomyk is a life transition expert, award-winning resilience speaker, and grief educator. With over 30 years of experience in higher education, career development, and personal growth, she helps people move through life's toughest moments with clarity, courage, and compassion. Her work is rooted in both lived experience and professional expertise. After losing her infant son unexpectedly, Tania's world shifted. That loss became the spark for a new path—one focused on healing with purpose and supporting others through grief, major life changes, and the journey of finding themselves again. Her debut book, Bringing Light to Loss, is a powerful reflection on grief, love, and the strength it takes to rebuild your life. A gentle five minutes for the part of you that is learning, again, to believe in what you carry. If you have been holding a quiet question for longer than you realise — asking whether this is really allowed, whether you are really the one meant to hold it — this whisper is for you. You do not have to answer today. You only have to let the question be there without pushing it away.Belief does not always look like certainty. Sometimes it looks like staying. Like the next small breath you take when the room feels too quiet. Like opening the door one more morning, even when the morning does not promise anything. The seed does not have to look like the tree. The first word does not have to sound like the last word to be true.Ava offers the practice of noticing what is already forming inside you, of greeting doubt as the older sibling who has been guarding you since you were small, and of choosing, quietly, not to abandon the thing you are building. The belief is not ahead of you. It is here, in the breath you are taking right now.You are the quiet believer. A gentle five minutes for the small ceremony of coming home to yourself. If you have been out in the world all day, holding a shape that is not quite yours, this whisper is for you. The moment the door closes. The shoes by the wall. The first real breath. The quiet that has been waiting for you, the way a cat waits by the door, the way a candle waits for a match.Ava offers the practice of returning. Noticing the shoulders drop. Noticing the body finally allowed to be the body again. Noticing that you are already home, you just have not told yourself yet. The quiet was always yours, and it has been here, humming, keeping the small things safe, ready to wrap around you the moment you walked in.You are not late. You are not lazy. You are a quiet returner, and the answer is always yes. Of course, come in. I have been keeping the light on for you.Settle in. Breathe. Let the day ask less of you. Ava walks you through a slow, kind permission to land in the present moment and offers a quiet reframe of rest. Rest is not the opposite of purpose. It is the soil in which purpose quietly takes root. You will not be scolded here. There is nothing to fix, and nothing to finish, and no posture you have to perfect before you can be allowed to rest. A gentle five minutes for the mind that is finally allowed to stop.If today has been a day of thinking, planning, sorting, replaying — if your thoughts have been louder than your body, if you have been carrying a small list in the back of your head that you cannot quite put down — this whisper is for you. Ava walks you through a quiet landing for the tired mind and offers a small, gentle reframe: that tired things are not problems to be solved, they are invitations to be tended. You will not be asked to do anything here. Not a long breath. Not a deep breath. Not an effort to slow the thinking, or empty the head, or solve the day before you sleep. You will only be invited, very gently, to soften the jaw, soften the eyes, soften the back of the head where the day tends to gather, and to let the mind step back, just a fraction, from the work of holding everything.Notice the body underneath the thinking. Notice the weight of the chair. Notice that the listening itself is already a kind of letting go.Settle in. Soften down. At 13, Shenae Grimes-Beech booked her first commercial in Toronto. By 18, her life had completely changed. She'd moved out of her mom's house for the first time to film 90210 in Los Angeles. Now a mom of two building a career as a content creator, Shenae joins The Mom Room to talk about that whirlwind path from Degrassi to 90210 to motherhood, and to bring up a major AI concern most of us have never even heard of.Shenae unpacks what it was like growing up on camera before social media existed, and how her approach to sharing her daughter online has changed as she's gotten older. Then they get into the scary side of the internet, and the reason Shenae wanted to have this conversation: Grok, the AI chatbot built into X (formerly Twitter), and a feature nicknamed "Spicy Grok" that lets anyone "undress" or "nudify" a photo to generate sexually explicit images without the subject's consent. In the two weeks after it launched, over 3 million non-consensual explicit images were generated, a significant number of them involving minors. Shenae and Renee talk through the legal gray area (this should be illegal, right?), why victims are afraid to come forward, and how to start age-appropriate conversations with your kids about it before something happens rather than after. If you loved today's episode, tune into Shenae's new podcast, Lost the Plot, where she gets to go deeper with women in her generation than a 30-second clip ever allows.FOLLOW SHENAE: Instagram: @shanaegrimesbeach | @shenaelosttheplotYouTube: Lost the Plot with Shenae Grimes-BeechFOLLOW RENEE REINA: Instagram: @themomroom | @thereneereinaTikTok: @thereneereinaFacebook Community - The Mom Room CommunityYouTube: Renee Reina - The Mom Room PodcastTHANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS!AquaOmega: For your daily dose of Omega-3's, go to myaquaomega.com/MOMROOM and use code MOMROOM for 20% offBellesa: Today's episode is sponsored by Bellesa Boutique! What makes a brand worth betting on? Ken Sadowsky, affectionately known as "The Beverage Whisperer," returns to Taste Radio with a sharp look at where the biggest opportunities — and potential pitfalls — are emerging across the beverage category. A senior advisor at Verlinvest, board director at Vita Coco and Icelandic Glacial, and early-stage investor in several emerging beverage brands, Ken explains why coconut water still has plenty of runway, what founders can learn from playing the long game, and why he believes colostrum could represent the next big functional beverage opportunity. Ken also shares his perspective on the rise of caffeine-free energy, hydration, matcha, protein and functional beverages. He also offers candid takes on celebrity-backed brands, flavor versus function, packaging, category positioning and the question he asks when evaluating any new beverage. Show notes: 0:20: Ken Sadowsky, Sr. Advisor, Verlinvest – Ken kicks things off by praising his beloved Red Sox before sharing his perspective on why coconut water has quietly become one of beverage's fastest-growing categories. He explains how strategic decisions by major beverage companies can temporarily shape retailer perceptions of an entire category, and why occasion- and benefit-based shopping may increasingly blur traditional category lines, particularly in smaller-format stores. Ken also discusses several emerging brands in his investment portfolio, including Rite, a caffeine-free energy drink powered by ketones and paraxanthine, and Leisure Hydration, which he sees as a function-first product with a more relaxed approach to hydration. He and Ray also evaluate products from Stillers, Yass, Gimber, Fizzin Protein and Grind. At the heart of Ken's philosophy is a simple question: Why will a consumer buy the product again? While functional benefits can drive trial, he argues that taste remains critical to repeat purchase in most categories. For founders, he emphasizes the importance of spending time in stores, studying the competitive set and allowing consumers to determine where a product belongs rather than relying too heavily on conventional category definitions. Ken also weighs in on celebrity-backed brands, arguing that celebrity involvement can drive discovery but is far more powerful when the celebrity genuinely invests in and believes in the business. He reflects on the extraordinary velocity of beverages compared with other CPG categories and explains why he often asks if a brand has the potential to sell a billion cans. Brands in this episode: Vita Coco, Harmless Harvest, Zico, Gatorade, Red Bull, Monster Energy, Celsius, Rite Energy, Parch, Subourbon Life, Ponyboy Slings, MOTH Cocktails, Spikedade, Super Lyte, Yass, Orange Toucan, Leisure Hydration, Spindrift, Coca-Cola, Neau Water, Eatyx, Oshee, Stiller's, Gimber, Vitaminwater, Pirate's Booty, AriZona Beverages, Ancient Nutrition, Fair Life, Fizzen Protein, Protein Pop, Grind, Onyx Coffee, Donpon Energy

August 6th, 2026: In this episode of The Live Better Project, I'm sharing one of the biggest changes I've noticed since I stopped mindlessly scrolling social media: my attention span is coming back. For years, I couldn't watch a TV show without checking my phone, read a book during the day without getting distracted, or simply enjoy a moment without wondering if I should be filming it for social media. Even conversations were constantly interrupted by notifications or the urge to check my phone. But after just a few weeks of intentionally putting my phone down for longer periods of time, something surprising happened.I can sit through an entire episode of Big Brother without reaching for my phone. I can read in the middle of the day. I can have uninterrupted conversations. I can enjoy experiences without feeling like every moment needs to become content. It's not perfect, but the difference has been shocking. In this episode, we discuss:How mindless scrolling changed my ability to focusWhy every moment doesn't need to become contentThe surprising speed at which attention can recoverWhy being present feels so much more fulfilling than documenting everythingSmall habits that helped me spend less time on my phoneIf you've ever wondered where your attention span went, this episode is for you.THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS!Bellesa - Today's episode is sponsored by Bellesa Boutique!
