I am pro-life because I support Biblical morality and the US Constitution, which, per the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments, guarantees us that our right to life can't be taken from us without due process of law. The Democrat Party will not accept people who are pro-life, so I can't be a Democrat. I am a Republican, but I am not a party hack. I took an oath to protect and defend the US Constitution from all enemies, both foreign and domestic, not to advance any particular political organization. For that reason, I refer to myself as a centrist: I support politically those who support the US Constitution and Declaration of Independence and their underlying principles. I realize that the First Amendment gives authors tremendous liberty including the right to defame and slander public figures such as Dr. Peter McCullough, but a professor at a prestigious law school such as Northwestern has a fiduciary duty to exercise due diligence in his research. Professor Koppelman admits in his article: “I was able to learn all this in a two-minute Google search.” When a lawsuit begins, all involved parties start to gather information that can be useful in a concrete case. In view of the fact that this information includes facts and documents that were unknown for at least one party, this process is called ‘discovery.' Discovery's definition and discovery laws can vary state to state, but in general, it can be formulated as the process of investigating all pertinent matters in a concrete legal case. As is clear from the definition, the main purpose of this process is to gather as much information as possible to resolve the dispute before it turns into a lawsuit. As Sergeant Joe Friday used to say on the old Dragnet TV show: “just the facts, ma'am.” Witnesses in court must take an oath to swear (or affirm) to “tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.” Incomplete, or inaccurate, information can result in a wrong decision or outcome. Professor Koppelman is well aware of the necessity to do in-depth research. Digging for facts is better exercise than jumping to conclusions. By admitting to doing not much more than a “two-minute Google search,” Professor Koppelman reveals that he is either lazy, incompetent, or deliberately deceitful. I submit that Professor Koppelman is in the latter category of being deceitful. Professors who knowingly lie and slander, such as Professor Koppelman, should be removed from their position. Teachers have an especially important role and need to be held to a higher standard. James 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. Lawyers have a duty to tell the truth so that justice will be served. I will quote Jesus: John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. John 8:31-32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. We need to select judges in accordance with the principles that Moses' father-in-law, Jethro gave Moses to us when selecting judges to rule the Israelites: Exodus 18:21 “thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness.” Unfortunately, our society is filled with mockers and scoffers, pathological liars, and covetous and materialistic individuals, so it's not surprising that our government, military, academia, and news and entertainment media is infested with these types. If we are to have a God-fearing government, we need to be a God-fearing people. Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. If the pool of potential judges, our law school graduates, believe it is acceptable to lie and slander like their instructors do, our next generation of judges will be mockers and scoffers, and our society will have degenerated to that described in Isaiah 59:14 "And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter." To restore our Republic, we need to return to original principles and inculcate them into our next generation. Specifically, I will comment on the latest ruling by the US Supreme Court that denied religious exemptions for health care workers from having to be injected with the COVID-19 “vaccine.” The denial by the US Supreme Court of any religious exemption is a blatant repudiation of the very first right enumerated in the First Amendment: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;” By permitting the government-coerced mandate of inoculations, the US Supreme Court ignored the strongly-held religious beliefs of some of our citizenry (thus prohibiting these citizens from the free exercise of their religion) while at the same time forcing these citizens to “take the jab” of the witches' brew of chemicals produced during the “warp speed” development of the gene therapy mRNA that skipped nearly all of the typical 10-15 years of testing to which vaccines are normally administered. “Taking the jab” appears to be a government-mandated ritual of the new religion that some call “Fauci worship.” This religion, which is established by government mandate, will require that the entire populace take part in the testing of an experimental gene therapy inoculation. This program will continue to briefly discuss the principle of using a scapegoat to take away the blame for any adverse circumstances that arise because of the incompetent, neglectful, criminal, or treasonous action, or inaction, of an organization or individual. There are Biblical incidences of a scapegoat that took away the sins of the people. The first occurs in Leviticus 16:5-10 Aaron, Moses older brother, presented two kid goats before the Lord. One goat was offered as a sin offering, while the other goat became the scape goat, which was presented alive before the Lord as an atonement for the people's sins and then let go into the wilderness to symbolically take away the people's sin. There is an even more vivid illustration of a scape goat: Jesus. John 1:29 The next day John [the Baptist] sees Jesus coming unto him, and says, Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shall call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. [The presence, power, and penalty of sin; our scapegoat to make atonement with God for the people.] The scapegoat analogy that I to which I will allude during this program is not perfect because, unlike the scapegoat of Leviticus 16 or of Jesus, the organizations using innocent people as scapegoats do not in any way consider themselves to be sinners or to accept responsibility for their incompetent, neglectful, criminal, or treasonous action, or inaction. Such organizations seek only to redirect the blame and anger arising from appalling and horrendous situations that they caused, redirecting it to others who had no role in causing the problem. Thus, the perpetrators escape the consequences that they should suffer; instead, the scapegoats will suffer the unrighteous wrath of the culprits themselves. Examples of scapegoats were the Jews in Germany during the Depression and the independent farmers and merchants of the Ukraine, pejoratively called Kulak's, during the early days of the Soviet Union. Both the Jews of Germany and the independent farmers and merchants took the blame for poor economic conditions, and many lost their lives at the hands of governments that were eager to divert the anger of the people from the government, where it rightly belonged, to innocent citizenry. This program will briefly examine a contemporary American tragedy, the death due to drug overdose of Colt Brennan, a star college football quarterback for the University of Hawaii who finished third in the voting for the Heisman Trophy in 2007. The Heisman trophy is awarded annually to the best college football player for that year. Colt Brennan's tragic death is symbolic of the death spiral into which the United States, as well as much of the world, has fallen. The culture in which Colt Brennan grew into adulthood, as well as the circumstances leading to Colt Brennan's death, bear a relationship to Thanksgiving that I will attempt to establish. As a society, our failure to abide by the Biblical principles that inspired the Thanksgiving holiday will lead to the demise of the United States just as assuredly as Colt Brennan's failure to abide by Biblical principles resulted in the tragic death of a very gifted and materially blessed young man. This program will discuss the poem "It is the Veteran" and the article "It isn't the Veteran." The poem "It is the Veteran": It is the veteran, not the preacher who has given us freedom of religion. It is the veteran, not the reporter who has given us freedom of the press. It is the veteran, not the poet who has given us freedom of speech. It is the veteran, not the campus organizer who has given us freedom to assemble. It is the veteran, not the lawyer who has given us the right to a fair trial. It is the veteran, not the politician who has given us the right to vote. It is the veteran who salutes the flag, who serves under the flag and whose coffin will be draped by the flag. The author lists four of the five freedoms enumerated in the First Amendment of Bill of Rights: religion, speech, press, and assembly; he neglected to include “petition for a redress of grievances.” He then lists our right to a fair trial, as stated in the Sixth Amendment. He then lists our right to vote, as listed in the Fifteenth Amendment. Most, but definitely not all, veterans salute the flag and take their oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” Freedom is a gift from God, not from man. The Declaration of Independence affirms this fact in the second sentence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” The veteran does not give us our liberties, nor does the government. Our government is formed to protect our liberties, as stated in the third sentence of the Declaration of Independence: “That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” Veterans, at least most, have sacrificed to preserve and protect our liberties. The veteran did not give us our liberties; God did that. The veteran preserved and protected our liberties. Some soldiers gave the ultimate sacrifice, their lives, as did a high school friend of mine, Bob Hutchinson, who was killed while serving in the US Army as an infantryman during the Vietnam War. Others, such as my brother Gary, who was wounded while serving as a US Army infantryman during the Vietnam War. I served as a helicopter pilot for the Marine Corps in Vietnam during the Vietnam War; although I was shot at, I returned unscathed. Finally, we have veterans such as Lloyd Austin, the current Secretary of Defense and retired US Army general, and General Mark Milley, the current Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who seem to be diligently working to destroy our military and persecute and punish, through the ghoulish vaccine mandates, the most loyal and patriotic soldiers. The mandatory vaccine policies that Austin and Milley are implementing that will undermine the health of our military personnel, thus placing our nation in grave risk, vividly illustrate that not all veterans are worthy of adulation. This program will continue to discuss the events surrounding the mostly peaceful demonstration against the fraudulent 2020 election that occurred at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. Tucker Carlson of Fox News has produced a documentary video entitled “Patriot Purge” to expose the criminal behavior of government officials towards the citizens who demonstrated at the US Capitol Building on January 6, 2021. I'm glad this issue is finally getting the attention that it deserves. I have covered this issue many times (programs 252, 253, 254, 255, 256, 257, 258, 260, and 261) and will continue to cover it. I have also contacted Senators Cantwell and Murray and Representative Newhouse; they don't seem interested. I am continuing to discuss the events surrounding the January 6 demonstration because this situation vividly illustrates the destruction of our Constitutional Republic. Numerous citizens who exercised their First Amendment rights of freedom of speech, freedom to peaceably assemble, and freedom to petition for a redress of grievances because of the blatant fraud that occurred during the 2020 election have been incarcerated and tortured without a trial, thus violating the Fifth (deprived of liberty without due process), Sixth (deprived of a right to a speedy trial), and Eighth Amendment (deprived of reasonable bail and subject to cruel and unusual punishment) rights of these citizens. In this program, I will be reading, and commenting on, the Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrate and relate that principle in the performance of the duties of government officials. The Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrate is especially relevant in the United States with our federalist form of government. Federalism is a system of government in which the same territory is controlled by two levels of government. Both the national government and the smaller political subdivisions (state, county, and city) have the power to make laws and both have a certain level of autonomy from each other. Enumerated or delegated powers: Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution describes specific powers which belong to the federal government. Reserved powers: The Tenth Amendment reserves powers to the states, as long as those powers are not delegated to the federal government. Among other powers, this includes creating school systems, overseeing state courts, creating public safety systems, managing business and trade within the state, and managing local government. Concurrent powers: Powers that are shared by both the federal government and state governments. This includes the power to tax, build roads, and create lower courts. Per Article VI, all government officials at all levels take an oath to protect and defend the US Constitution. As such, all government officials at all levels have as their primary duty the protection of the Constitutional Rights of their constituents. When someone in authority makes laws or decrees contrary to the Constitution, they have violated their oath of office and their law or decree is invalid. Those under their authority, including those in positions of authority themselves, are NOT to obey them when they do this. This program will compare and contrast the US Declaration of Independence, written in 1776, with the globalist Declaration of Interdependence that was written in 1975, anticipating the 200th anniversary of the signing of the US Declaration of Independence. There are numerous Declarations of Interdependence beginning at least since the 1930s, nearly all of which urge the end of national sovereignty and its replacement with global government. I will focus on the Declaration of Interdependence written in 1975 by Henry Steele Commager. The US Declaration of Independence states "that these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do." The Declaration of Interdependence states that "it is necessary for the people of The United States to declare their interdependence with the people of all nations"; that "now we must join with others to bring forth a new world order." The US Declaration of Independence concludes with the statement: "And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor." Your opponent will try to discredit you and marginalize you by depicting you as completely disconnected from the body of conventional wisdom. They will portray you as an outlier or extremist while never justifying why your views are considered extreme. They will use your appearance as well as your rhetoric to accomplish their objective of discrediting you and thus win the debate. Your job is to portray yourself as a well-groomed, knowledgeable and responsible citizen who bases his argument on sound, well-established principles, and thus expose your opponent as the outlier and extremist whose views are totally against conventional wisdom, thus portraying them as being the extremists. A classic case of an individual embracing the label of extremist, and thus marginalizing himself and his policies, which were Constitutional and traditional (strong national defense, protection of our free economy, and safeguarding our civil and religious liberty), and which were, and are, mainstream and anything but extremist, occurred in 1964. The individual who embraced the label of extremist was Senator Barry Goldwater, the Republican Party candidate for US President running against Lyndon Johnson, the incumbent US President at the time and an extremely corrupt and vulgar individual. During a speech at the Republican Party convention in 1964, Barry Goldwater made the following statement: “Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice, and moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.” According to commentator David Knight, the speech writer who wrote the speech for Barry Goldwater was a man who wore a ponytail and earrings in 1964. By displaying such a bizarre appearance, especially in 1964, he physically illustrated how disconnected he was from contemporary society. (1 Corinthians 11:14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?) If you have a good product, you should put it into an attractive package. The speech writer seemed to be a man who enjoyed being a gadfly and outlier, and thus bringing attention to himself. This is a terrible strategy to employ if you want to convince the public, who are being bombarded with disinformation. By embracing the label “extremist,” Barry Goldwater did the work of his opponents. All they had to do was to keep harping on him as being an extremist. One of Barry Goldwater's slogans was: “In your heart, you know I'm right.” His opponents would respond: “Yes, far right.” Not surprisingly, Barry Goldwater lost by a landslide. What I have just recounted is more than ancient history, since the strategy of framing the debate to win the argument is as new as tomorrow. But there is another aspect of the Barry Goldwater self-destruction. Some people still venerate the statement “Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice, and moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue” because it showed an uncompromising commitment on the part of Barry Goldwater to make a strong statement in support of liberty. Thus, they have fallen into the trap into which Barry Goldwater unwittingly fell. He could have shown his uncompromising support for the principles of liberty without portraying himself as an extremist had he used different wording, such as “passionate defense of liberty is no vice, and apathy in the face of corruption is no virtue.” Actively defending liberty is not just the duty of the super patriot; it is the duty of every citizen to ensure that the Constitutional rights of their fellow citizens are protected, and that corruption is exposed, and corrupt officials held accountable. This program will discuss some of the problems that have arisen in Canada, our neighbor to the north. Last week, I discussed the Mexican Holiday Cinco de Mayo. Cinco de Mayo is a holiday that celebrates the date of the Mexican army’s May 5, 1862 victory over a French military force at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War. Today I want to assess the situation in Canada in which two Christian pastors were arrested because they held church services that the government asserts endanger public health. I will contrast the actions that the Canadian government has taken against these two pastors with the liberties and foundational beliefs as expressed in the Canadian National Anthem: O Canada.
