In this thought-provoking episode of the Jack Canfield Podcast, I sit down with Dr. Tony Nader, a renowned expert in the field of consciousness and a prominent leader in the Transcendental Meditation (TM) community. Dr. Nader shares his profound insights on the nature of consciousness, exploring how it underlies every aspect of existence and how understanding it can lead to a more fulfilled and harmonious life. Dr. Nader introduces the concept that consciousness is primary, describing it as a vast ocean where all experiences and realities emerge. He explains the distinction between the field of consciousness, which is limitless and beyond physical perception, and the manifest field, which encompasses our daily experiences and interactions. According to Dr. Nader, the key to true fulfillment lies in recognizing and reconnecting with this deeper level of consciousness. Key Insights from the Episode: The Nature of Consciousness: Dr. Nader explains that consciousness is not just a product of the brain but is the fundamental field from which all life emerges. He describes it as a non-material, self-aware field that permeates everything, likening it to an ocean where individual waves represent different aspects of experience. Duality of Existence: He discusses the dual aspects of existence—material and immaterial—and how our subjective experiences are not merely by-products of physical processes but are integral to understanding reality. The Role of Meditation: Dr. Nader emphasizes the transformative power of meditation, particularly Transcendental Meditation, in accessing deeper levels of consciousness. Through meditation, individuals can transcend surface-level thoughts and connect with the vast ocean of consciousness, leading to greater clarity, peace, and fulfillment. The Global Impact of Collective Consciousness: Citing scientific studies, Dr. Nader highlights how collective meditation can reduce crime rates and improve societal well-being. He advocates for large-scale meditation initiatives to foster global peace and harmony. This episode offers a profound exploration of consciousness and its role in shaping our lives and the world around us. Do you ever feel as if you're wearing a mask? Perhaps, you think you have to act a certain way around your boss or say certain things to your colleagues, so you'll be accepted. Instead of being yourself, you're playing a role to fit in or to impress others. Now, most of us have gone through times like this, instead of behaving in a genuine way we tell people what we think they want to hear and we act in ways that go against our true nature—in short, we're living unauthentically and entirely out of alignment with true authentic expression. I know living and working this way is tiring, I've been there. So, I am aware of just how much it can hold you back from reaching your full potential. In today's solo episode, we're talking about authenticity and living from your most authentic state of being that's anchored in unapologetic transparency. I'll be providing valuable insight into the benefits of being your true self while providing real-life examples of people who discovered the huge costs of not honoring their truth because wearing a mask always comes with a price. We will explore some exercises I teach in my workshops like the Breakthrough to Success Workshop, where we help people expand their self-awareness, build their self-esteem and self-confidence, and create lives that fully align with and express their authentic selves. In exploring these exercises, I help you see where it is we are most prone to hide our authentic selves and ask you questions like: What do you truly want to spend time doing? And who do you want to spend time with doing whatever it is you want to do? What kind of music do you love? What causes do you want to stand up for? If no one could have an opinion on it, what would you do as soon as tomorrow? Tune in to Episode 5 of The Jack Canfield Podcast to learn about the power of authentic expression and building the habit of operating from a place of authenticity. Welcome to the first episode of The Jack Canfield Podcast, where we dive deep into the world of personal growth and Inner Awakening. I'm your host, Jack Canfield, multiple New York Times best-selling author and a human potential trainer, speaker, and coach for more than five decades. I am thrilled to embark on this adventure with you by stepping out of my comfort zone and into the world of podcasting. You might know me from having created and co-authored the best-selling Chicken Soup for the Soul book series, or perhaps from my book The Success Principles: How to Get Where You Are to Where You Want to Be, or maybe as a featured teacher in the book and the movie, The Secret. It has been my mission for the past 40 years to inspire people to firmly believe that they can accomplish anything they set their minds to and to empower them with the information, skills, and tools needed to make those dreams come true, which is precisely what I plan to do with this podcast. In today's inaugural episode, I'll be providing a proper introduction, my intentions behind creating this podcast, and what you can expect for future episodes and I explore the concept of embracing the change that catapults us into new beginnings and uncharted territory. It's kind of funny isn't it…how the only thing we can truly count on this life also happens to often be the most anxiety and fear-inducing? But what if change didn't have to be scary or more difficult than necessary? Change is inevitable so learning to embrace it rather than living in a state of resistance to it whether consciously or unconsciously, can begin to open all kinds of doors with endless potentials all working out in your favor. Tune in to Episode 1 of The Jack Canfield Podcast to learn about the principles I have found to be the most helpful in embracing uncertainty and navigating times of change with ease, hear the reflective questions I invite you to ponder on and find out why the most successful people had to first, get intimately comfortable with being uncomfortable. In this episode, you will learn: Allow me to introduce myself (0:37) Who and what you can expect on the podcast (2:02) Today's topic: The Power of Embracing Change Everything that happens in your life is for you, not against you. (16:51) Everything you're experiencing right now is a result of how you responded to an earlier event (21:20) Commit to CAN I (Constant And Never-ending Improvement) (26:13) During times of change, prioritizing and upgrading your self-care is important (30:23) Stay connected to your communities when navigating change (35:25) Closing questions to think about (37:13) Resources Mentioned: Napoleon Hill: Author of Think and Grow Rich The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman How To Talk So Kids Will Listen Let's Connect: Jack Canfield Podcast Website Instagram Submit your questions, feedback, topic suggestions, and future guest requests, here!
