Brian Tibbs is on a mission to serve people by leveraging his skills and experience in building significant wealth. He is eager to hear your story and walk alongside you in your wealth-building journey. From a young age, it was evident to both Brian and those around him that he was destined to be a businessman. By the age of 26, he had already begun investing in real estate, was an executive in his father's financial services company, and co-owned a small online retail business. However, Brian felt called to a different path. Over the next three years, he married Jill Bramhall, resigned from his father's company, sold his online business, liquidated 60% of his real estate portfolio, and moved—sight unseen—to Guatemala. For the next 16 years, Brian built a team that recruited and trained 380 leaders to plant 96 churches across 11 countries. Together, they raised over $20 million for their cause and constructed more than 150,000 square feet of churches and related facilities. Despite dedicating themselves to ministry, Brian and Jill earned very little money. When calculated against their total working hours, their earnings equated to just $9.20 per hour—less than the legal minimum wage in most states.Even with their limited income, they successfully built a multi-million dollar net worth. They no longer rely on jobs to pay their bills but instead have the financial freedom to choose work on their own terms. Their modest salary forced them to develop a wealth-building philosophy that didn't depend on a high income. It was through this financial constraint that the HACKER Method was discovered and implemented, enabling the Tibbs family to achieve financial independence by Brian's 44th birthday.Although Brian has stepped away from full-time missionary work, his passion for serving others remains strong. He launched The Unexpected Investor with the singular goal of helping people who feel financially constrained transform into wealthy, powerful, and generous investors using the HACKER Method.Chapters00:00 Introduction and Current Economic Perspectives04:46 Investment Strategies in Changing Markets08:39 Brian Tibbs' Journey and Experience12:18 Key Metrics in Short-Term Rentals16:04 Navigating Airbnb's Algorithm and Reviews19:40 Regulatory Landscape for Short-Term Rentals22:41 Navigating the Challenges of Short-Term Rentals25:08 The Value of Specialization in Real Estate26:44 The Growth Potential of Short-Term Rentals27:57 Exit Strategies in Short-Term Rental Investments29:00 The Hacker Method: Building Wealth31:50 Educational Resources for Short-Term Rental Investors34:26 Due Diligence in Passive Investing36:43 Supporting Emerging Entrepreneurs37:41 Investing in Others: A Personal Touch39:02 outro RANDY SMITHConnect with our host, Randy Smith, for more educational content or to discuss investment opportunities in the real estate syndication space at www.impactequity.net, https://www.linkedin.com/in/randallsmith or on Instagram at @randysmithinvestorKeywordseconomy, investing, short-term rentals, Airbnb, market trends, passive income, real estate, Brian Tibbs, The Hacker Method, community building

"Mouth breathing is putting bad gasoline into a high-performance race car." - Dr. Ben Miraglia Dr. Ben Miraglia is a renowned dentist with over three decades of experience since graduating from SUNY at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1993. He serves as the Chief Clinical Officer at Airway Health Solutions and Toothpillow, both organizations dedicated to improving dental and airway health. Dr. Miraglia is also on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Physiological Medicine and Dentistry. He is a key player in transformative dental treatments focusing on physiological growth and airway success without the extraction of teeth. Episode Summary: In this enlightening episode of "Oh, My Health... There Is Hope," host Jana Short sits down with Dr. Ben Miraglia, a trailblazer in the field of dentistry focusing on airway health and pediatric orthodontics without extraction. Dr. Miraglia narrates his journey from being a traditional dentist to discovering expansive orthodontic solutions that avoid tooth extraction and promote better health outcomes. His story of hope is packed with professional insights that will appeal to parents seeking healthier alternatives for children's dental care. Dr. Miraglia's innovative approach advocates early intervention in dental growth, starting as young as three years old, to prevent common issues associated with traditional methods like extracting teeth for orthodontic purposes. Highlighting the profound connection between correct nasal breathing, jaw development, and overall health, this episode offers invaluable information for parents aiming for holistic health solutions for their children. With the development of Toothpillow, Dr. Miraglia extends his expertise globally, providing remote dental care that focuses on growth and natural development rather than immediate corrective remedies. Key Takeaways: Early Intervention: Begin addressing dental development as early as age 3 to promote proper jaw growth and prevent long-term orthodontic issues. Finding the right amount of therapy materials is a struggle for many clinicians. It's hard to find the balance between having enough options, without having so many choices it feels overwhelming. Now that we have access to digital resources, we also have to think about how to use technology responsibly and effectively. That's why I invited Dr. Karen Rose to episode 204 of the De Facto Leaders podcast to discuss how digital platforms can minimize cognitive fatigue and improve communication on multidisciplinary teams. Dr. Karen Rose has over two decades of experience as a pediatric speech and language pathologist, fueling her passion for improving healthcare. She is now engaged in postdoctoral research and continues to work with Cognishine as an external advisor. Her work has been published in numerous internationally renowned journals. In this conversation, we discuss:✅How different clinical disciplines can collaborate with each other, as well as IT professionals to create engaging therapy resources.✅Using technology to enhance (but not replace) interactive in-person experiences.✅Thinking of digital platforms and therapy materials as a communication tool for team collaboration and parent coaching. ✅Leveraging online materials to provide scaffolding for therapists so they don't have to start from scratch; while still allowing room for engagement and creativity. Special guest Anthony Hellbo shares his journey into the field and his extensive experience with mole traps, particularly his own brand, Mole Reaper Traps. Introduction: Diving into Mole Trapping In this episode, Steven Vantassel introduces Anthony Hellbo, a dedicated mole trapper who began his journey around 2008-2009. Anthony's entry into the world of mole trapping started with a simple problem—moles in his yard. Faced with this issue, Anthony turned to research and experimentation, leading him to discover the effectiveness of the Molinator trap. This initial success sparked a deep interest in mole trapping, and he soon found himself helping friends and family with their mole problems. What began as a personal challenge quickly transformed into a budding business. From Hobby to Business: The Early Days Anthony's journey from hobbyist to professional mole trapper was marked by a commitment to learning and improvement. Initially, he offered his services with a no-catch-no-charge policy, a strategy that allowed him to build his skills and reputation without financial pressure. This approach proved successful, and as his expertise grew, he transitioned to charging per mole caught, starting at $40-50 each. Balancing his full-time job as a machinist with his growing mole trapping business, Anthony emphasized the importance of quality traps and continuous learning. His dedication to mastering mole trapping techniques set the foundation for his future success. Launching Mole Reaper Traps This year marked a significant milestone for Anthony as he launched a store dedicated to providing high-quality mole traps and educational resources for both amateurs and professionals. Anthony's goal is to provide not only the best tools but also the knowledge needed to use them effectively. The store features a variety of traps, including those that are not commonly found in large retail chains like Lowe's or Home Depot. Educational Resources and Customer Support One of the key aspects of Mole Reaper Traps is the emphasis on education. Anthony understands that having the right trap is only part of the equation; knowing how to use it effectively is equally important. To this end, he has created numerous tutorial videos available on his website and YouTube channel. These videos offer practical, hands-on advice and demonstrate the proper use of different traps in real-world settings. Anthony's commitment to education ensures that both amateur and professional trappers can benefit from his extensive knowledge and experience.
