Send us a textHello, I'm Richard Wilson, and I'm coming to you from a tax investment conference here in Hawaii. I've been talking with many of my clients, including ultra-wealthy family office managers, and we've had some interesting discussions about what it means now that Donald Trump is going to be the next president. I wanted to share some of those insights with you in this video.I'm not a political expert or an economist, but based on my conversations with family offices, investors, and founders in my network, I want to give you a snapshot of what I'm hearing from them about what we can expect under Trump's presidency. In other words, this is what 80% of the investors I talk to are predicting for the economy and different industries now that Trump has been voted in.What's likely to improve under Trump's presidency: Cannabis, psychedelics, oil and gas, energy, and U.S.-based manufacturing are expected to see growth.Business owners and founders will likely benefit from lower taxes, which will allow them to reinvest more in their businesses and the economy.I also think the real estate market will improve, with less volatility and less risk of a market collapse due to the economic growth that's anticipated. What could face challenges: If Trump lays off a significant portion of federal employees—whether 25%, 50%, or more—it could have an impact on spending, despite severance packages. This could affect the broader economy. There's also concern that Trump's aggressive trade policies and tariffs might lead to inflation. What I'm hearing from investors and business leaders: One point Elon Musk raised, which has come up in several investor conversations, is that the U.S. government has over 400 federal agencies. We've only been around for 200 years, so every year we've created two new government agencies. Musk calls them "brake pedals" that slow down economic growth. Many believe removing these barriers and adding "gas pedals" will lead to more entrepreneurship, more jobs, and better opportunities in the U.S.There's also a lot of hope that Trump's leadership could encourage more entrepreneurial opportunities. However, some investors are concerned about the impact of AI replacing jobs and the potential for mass government layoffs.Other key topics I've been hearing: Big pharma and big food companies are under increasing scrutiny. There's a push for healthier products, with some hoping that we'll see fewer chemicals in our food and more natural ingredients. Many investors are also worried about growing censorship and the potential loss of free speech. Some of the founders I've spoken with switched to supporting Trump because they believe he'll protect our ability to speak freely and explore the truth.I also want to mention that many Republicans who were hesitant to support Trump in the past may now see him as the best option, especially with Elon Musk's support and his principle-based approach to leadership. Even those who don't agree with everything Trump says recognize the importance of supporting policies that will protect free speech and promote economic growth. As an investor community, we do want to encourage business owners and investors to think critically about the potential impacts of these political shifts on their businesses, portfolios, and industries. How should we adjust our strategies and position ourselves moving forward with Trump as president? Thanks for watching, I look forward to shaking many of your hands at our annual investor summit next month where you can connect with 250+ investors and hear from more ultra-wealthy investors on stage than any other event held anywhere globally in 2024 or 2025. Shoot me a text at (305) 333-1155 if you want to learn more. #trumpeconomy #trump #inves
Higher inflation rates, a weaker rand, and potential setbacks for South African exports—these are just some of the economic concerns South Africa could face with Trump's re-election as president of the United States.

Can we connect the latest tragic rocket attack killing 12 children and teens to this time of year? Who is the destructive angel Ketev Meriri that is unleashed during the three weeks, and what can we do to protect ourselves from him? Can we expect that the sadness of this period will be transformed to joy as the joy of Simchat Torah was transformed to tears on October 7th? What is unique about the three Shabbosim of the Three Weeks? Does fear of G-d include trembling? What is the meaning of Matos and Masei, and what is the significance of their coming together? Is Judaism rigid or fluid? How do these Torah chapters empower us in the Three Weeks? Are those living comfortably outside of Israel like the tribes of Reuven, Gad and half of Menashe? The forecast of Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) seems to signal unparalleled concern from Democrats regarding the potential return of former President Donald Trump to the Oval Office. The unease stems from the prospect of the indomitable Trump mounting another run for the presidency. This apprehension appears to be fueling a relentless pursuit of legal action against Trump. The former head of state is currently facing trial in New York, accused of a confidential payment allegedly made to an adult film actress known as Stormy Daniels. Cruz astutely observes that this legal upheaval seems suspiciously timed. He is of the opinion that this is not mere coincidence, but a calculated move, driven by Democratic fear: 'Democrats are panic-stricken at the thought of American voters choosing President Trump at the ballot box this November,' Cruz avers. 'Their maneuver to hamper the electoral process is glaring. They are investing every ounce of their energy to thwart a potential Trump return to the White House.' The words of Cruz paint a clear image of fear-induced agitation among Democrats, pursuing every angle to prevent a Trump second term. Pointedly, Cruz condemns the policies we've witnessed thus far from the opposite aisle. Upon examination, we can see a litany of failures. Inflation spiralling, rampant crime, an unmanaged southern border--all seemingly part and parcel of a deplorable political strategy. And the onslaught on our fundamental rights and values seems ceaseless under the current administration. The assaults on our constitutional rights are ever present: suppression of free speech and religious liberty, disregard for the Second Amendment. A display of relentless partisanship that swiftly seeps into every corner of our society. Beyond home shores, our position in the international arena is deteriorating, thanks to the abysmal handling of foreign policy and national security. Evidence of this is seen everywhere, from the chaotic retreat from Afghanistan, to the escalating tensions in Ukraine, and the unsettling developments in Israel. Cruz emphasizes that everything touched by the Biden regime seems to have descended into chaos: 'Each endeavor Biden has pursued has fallen into disarray. This isn't merely a statement of political rivalry - it's an observation based on the grim reality we're witnessing'. The incumbent administration's track record teeters on the brink of utter disaster. Democrats are wary of discussing it, well aware it will do them more harm than good. Instead, they resort to using this trial as a smearing campaign against President Trump. 'Not a solitary Democrat within the corridors of power in Washington exhibits the slightest concern for the rule of law,' Cruz reveals, displaying their hypocrisy. Fueled by their fears, Democrats aren't prosecuting Trump for justice, but rather to stave off the possible electoral results. Biden's failing tenure cannot serve as the Democrats' campaign platform, so they are resorting to tarnishing Trump. It's as if they are seeking to divert the voters' attention from glaring realities, directing their focus to the courtrooms of New York where they're building their deceptive narrative. As Cruz's commentary reveals, it's a stark backdrop of a desperate, failing administration on one side, threatened by potential resurgence of vigorous leadership on the other. This dynamic introduces fascinating nuance to the upcoming electoral battles and promises compelling drama. In conclusion, based upon the observations of Senator Ted Cruz, the fear-stricken Democrats are now resorting to legal wrangling to stave off a possibility they dread: a triumphant return of the formidable Donald Trump, backed by the American people, to the presidency. “Nothing will work unless you do.” – Maya Angelou Today, we're sitting down with one of the great spiritual leaders of all time, Marianne Williamson, who is also running for President of the United States in 2024. Marianne is the author of 15 books, four of which have been #1 New York Times bestsellers, and she has been the catalyst for some of today's great change-makers to transform the world. Throughout her career, Marianne has worked on poverty, anti-hunger and racial reconciliation issues. She is the founder of Project Angel Food, a non-profit organization that has delivered more than 16 million meals to ill and dying homebound patients since 1989. Becoming President of the United States is about as lofty as a goal gets, but she's spent her 30+ year career preparing for this moment. The pillars of her Presidential campaign are: The restoration of America's middle class, including universal healthcare, tuition free college and tech school, and a guaranteed living wage; The establishment of a Department of Peace and the Department of Children and Youth; The declaration of a Climate Emergency to mass mobilize for the development of a green energy grid; and Ending America's Drug War. Marianne believes the transformation of American society requires that we address the root causes of the problems, rather than just their symptoms – a focus that every country in the world should get behind. She's running for the Democratic nomination. If elected, Marianne will be the first female, the first mother, and the first grandmother to be President of the United States. In this episode: The biggest problems facing the world today – and how to solve them; How to disrupt the educational system to properly empower the next generation; The dirty world of politics and her plan to give it a complete overhaul; and What you can do to step into your power and transform the world. Many of the most notable and covered Presidencies focus on so many of the individualistic aspects of a President themselves by detailing their unique rise to the top of American politics. Harry Truman, though, is the rare exception as someone with a remarkably proficient and newsworthy Presidency, but having such little fanfare invested into what he truly was like as a person. This episode of UnPresidented follows suit in diving deeper into the Presidential years of a President more than any other episode so far, as the decision-making of a President never has been more consequential than when Truman took office. Becoming President after the most popular President in US history dies during the worst war in human history is hard enough. Combine that with the global acknowledgment that the US is now one of the only two global superpowers to lead global decision-making after the war, and it's easy to see how important it was that Roosevelt's successor was up to the job. We explore the many ways in which he was in foreign affairs, but less so domestically. The successes of Truman's Presidency over time are becoming more appreciated the further out we get from 1945, and we explore how it can be considered one of the most successful when put in proper context. xx xx Keywords: Presidents American Presidents America USA United States Politics History Biography Biographical Republicans Democrats Political Parties Senate House of Representatives Constitution American Anthem White House American Flag --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Florida has backed the winning presidential candidate in every election since 1996 - but what makes the state the most likely to elect a leader? President Donald Trump and former vice president Joe Biden have both made Florida a battleground in the final few days of the election campaign. The area is known as a swing-state and the Trump campaign has been keen to target voters in what the President refers to as his 'home state'. Dr Susan MacManus is a political analyst at the University of South Florida, she was born and raised just outside Tampa and spoke to Andy Bell from the house her grandfather built in the 1920s. She says it's not only Florida's 29 electoral votes that make the state such a key focus point for candidates. The state is home to a rich diversity of age, race, politics and occupation which leads to a lot of difference in opinion and voting intentions - meaning it really can all come down to the wire. In 2000, it did exactly that. Just 537 votes were the difference between Republican George W. Bush and Democrat Al Gore, resulting in President Bush taking his place in the White House. How did we get here? Explaining the news is a podcast from 5 News. Join Andy Bell as he explains the world's biggest news stories through interviews with politicians, experts and analysts.

Episode 082 - Justin Wineburgh, President and CEO of Alkemy X This week's guest is the President and CEO of Alkemy X, a production company that brings "big ideas to life by working together in an end-to-end process that allows (them) to ideate, produce, and deliver faster (and better) than you ever thought possible." Alkemy X has offices in offices in Philly, LA, NY, and Amsterdam, and their team has a proven track record of bringing a unique approach to every production or project they are involved in. Justin is not your average lawyer. In fact, as Justin points out during this episode, he considers himself a "reformed lawyer." He built the entertainment practice at Cozen, by maintaining strong friendships that eventually led to a big opportunity. In the course of representing one of Justin's best friends, in a lawsuit over the film The Ring, Justin found himself quickly making a name for himself as an attorney that could help film and entertainment producers get things done. This opportunity begot other opportunities, which eventually led to Alkemy X (check them out here: https://www.alkemy-x.com/), a production company based in Philadelphia, reaching out to Justin because the company was failing. Alkemy was hit hard by market factors (the commoditization of post-production equipment, consolidation of the market for post-production services, etc.), and found itself spread thin, having difficulty in a tough film/media production market. Justin, who at the time had served as outside counsel for Alkemy, came up short when he tried to help by recruiting a new CEO to rescue Alkemy. That’s when Alkemy's Chairman of the Board asked Justin if he would be willing to take over the company. This was in November 2015, and Justin had built a large media-and-entertainment law practice at Philly-based Cozen O’Connor, and was enjoying life as a partner. Justin, knowing the media and entertainment business to be a fickle one, actually said "no." But, ultimately that did not end the discussion. Justin knew his life would be pretty solid if he continued on at the firm, but wanted a challenge. Something inside of him told him this new opportunity could provide a big upside as well as add some excitement. As Justin mentions in this episode, he just thought to himself "the worst thing that can happen is I have to go back to being a lawyer." So Justin finally decided to resign from Cozen and take on a new challenge at Alkemy. He started on February 1, 2016 and has since transformed Alkemy into a top production house, including receiving recognition by winning six 2019 Addy Awards from the Philly Ad Club, including "Best of Show" for The Plastic Ocean. Justin has also expanded the business and added a strong VFX line. Here for your listening pleasure are the Self Made Strategies of Justin Wineburgh. On this episode you will hear Justin discuss: How Justin started a thriving media and entertainment legal practice Why doing something once really well can catapult your career The importance of being an active student, even in the face of great success How to identify the leading minds in your field and learn from them Why understanding the important details of your business is critically important for success (in Justin's example, from the episode, as distribution outlets were changing formats were changing that brought on the need to understand the impact of those changes on a budget of a project) Why asking the right questions asking as well, and why you shouldn't have any shame or feel weakened by asking someone to elaborate How to find the skills and assets that uniquely qualify you to be successful Justin's best practices for bringing an organization "back from the brink," as he did with Alkemy X Production Credits: This Self Made Strategies Podcast is a SoftStix Productions LLC jawn. It’s bad enough when a presidential candidate won’t fire staffers who talk about killing political opponents or putting them in gulags. But when that man then promises to immediately issue dozens of executive orders upon taking office because we “cannot accept delays from Congress,” it perhaps should give you more than pause. This is exactly what socialist senator Bernie Sanders has vowed to do, too, to circumvent congressional Republicans and Democrats who oppose his radical agenda. As the Washington Post reports, “Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is considering dozens of executive orders he could unilaterally enact on a wide range of domestic policy issues if elected president … according to two people familiar with the campaign’s planning and an internal document reviewed by The Washington Post.” Read the article here!
A CHRISTMAS STORY Christmas is finally here! Christ followers everywhere will gather to remember and celebrate the birth of Jesus. So what is up with the Christmas story. Everybody has seen the Nativity scene. There is a donkey, a shepherd, a few sheep, 3 kings, a treasure chest, Daddy Joseph, Mama Mary, and baby Jesus in a cradle-nest made of tree branches. Oh, and don’t forget the barn that looks like a thatch bus stop. What does it mean? Are the stories behind the story interesting? Does any of it matter? The Biblical Christmas story is like watching a mystery theater; every scene has a twist. As this puzzling drama unfolds, the characters emerge with fascinating pasts. Play ball! Having a career in baseball for over 30 years just sounds like a great way to earn a living, and my guest today on the #MakeYourMark podcast, Jeff Idelson, has been the President of the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown NY for 11 years! Not only has he presided over an exciting time in baseball history, but he’s made his impact on America’s pastime, and he has great stories to tell! “I got the Yankees job in December of ‘88, and I go to a kick-off cocktail party before the team is going to spring training in ‘89, I was 24 years old and he is there, and I walked right up to him and said, ‘Hey Mr. Steinbrenner, I want to introduce myself to you. I’m Jeff Idelson, I’m your new assistant PR Director.’ He puts his hands on my shoulders, and says ‘Good to have you! You’re that young man from Detroit, aren’t you?’ I said ‘No sir, I’m the young man from Boston!’ and he said ‘Great to have you on board, I have three words of advice for you. Rent, don’t buy!’. I nodded my head, you know, the sage advice from your new boss. Working for him was incredibly rewarding, very difficult guy to work for, a guy who was focused on winning, focus on putting together a product, and we were terrible when I was there. But I learned a lot from him about just being ahead of the curve, how to anticipate, how to manage relationships, it was tough love but it was perfect for me at that age.” Jeff’s career in baseball has spanned from selling hotdogs in Fenway Park, to working for the Boss, George Steinbrenner, and 25 years in Cooperstown, and we cover a wide range of baseball topics, including the chances of Pete Rose along with those suspected of steroid use to be inducted into the Hall, and the incredible HOF Class of ‘19! “I remember having a conversation with a guy named Seymour Siwoff, who bought the Elias Sports Bureau 60 years ago, in fact he still runs it, he’s like 98 now, great guy, but you want to talk about a different era. He calls me on a Saturday morning 7 o'clock and I was like, why is my phone ringing, I don’t work for the team anymore! He says ‘Hi Jeff, it’s Seymour!’ This was in 1994, the internet was just being born and he says, ‘You know I've donated every day-by-day for every player in the history of baseball to your library’ and these are giant ledger books, it’s the statistics for every guy, and he says, ‘I understand you’re going to put all those things on the internet.’ And I said, ‘Seymour, that’s the furthest thing on my mind! All that I am trying to do is to drag people to Cooperstown!’ and he says ‘Good! The internet is a fad, it’s like the hula hoop, it’s going to be gone in a few years!’” This episode was special for me as it stirred up some great memories I have within baseball, including Little League, trading baseball cards, and attending the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. This is a perfect listen for the season! “Pete Rose is a good example. When I came to the Hall in 1994, the big topic was Pete, who back in ‘91 had been banned by baseball. Arguably one of the top hitters of all time, and here you have a Hall of Fame without the all-time hits leader! But baseball’s rules for election don’t consider players who are on the ineligible list, which Pete was on and is still today, and he did nothing to show he belonged in the Hall. As you walk into every clubhouse, as I have done, and the first thing you see is, ‘Don’t Gamble on Baseball’, and Pete admitted to gambling on baseball. Now you have legalized gambling on baseball, you have casinos involved on a tangential level, yet I don’t see his candidacy changing.” “I am trying to make sure the game remains relevant to the younger generations, and it’s challenging, because you have a sport that is tried and true to its traditions, we don’t like to change things very often, and the game is a game of beauty. But as we talked about growing up, and we wondered why we love baseball so much, well, the reality is that we did not have a lot of choices, and kids and adults today have a lot of choices, and that’s why you see maybe the interest in baseball waning.” Some Topics we talk about in this episode: Introduction - 2:03 Gravitating into Baseball - 3:13 Landing with the Red Sox - 5:37 Working With the Enemy, the Yankees - 8:46 Taking Advice From The Boss - 11:58 Changing My Lifestyle - 13:37 The Hall of Fame! - 14:58 I Am The Baby Boomer - 17:01 Becoming President - 20:14 Old Timer's Game - 23:18 Should Pete Rose be in The Hall? - 29:23 What would you change in Baseball? - 30:59 It’s All About Power! - 32:31 Wrap-up and Takeaways - 37:50 How to get involved Be sure to connect with me on Social Media @MarkMoyerCoach and go to my website, www.markmoyer.com to get access to the tips and strategies that my coaching clients get directly. Apologies for not releasing a new episode in a few months. It's back to a regular schedule of 3 episodes a week. In this feature-length episode, I talk about how I'm using my audience to impact the world, how I gained over 120k followers and my plans for the next few years. After a long debate with myself, I have decided to keep each episode as raw audio. I want it to be authentic. There are so many people on Instagram etc "fronting" and showing unrealistic versions of their life. I'm not like that. I want to talk about what I'm thinking, what I've been up to, and discuss some amazing topics with like-minded people during interviews. In order for me to improve the podcast, feel free to leave an honest review on iTunes (or your favorite platform). Have an awesome day! Rod Butterss is the former high flying businessman and AFL club President who's life spiralled out of control through alcoholism and substance abuse. Rod started and sold three companies, for a total of around $240 million, and he enjoyed the spoils of success in a cycle of boozy lunches, gambling and partying. Despite being filthy rich, Rod says he was emotionally bankrupt. Becoming President of the St Kilda Football Club kept him on the rails (just) but it wasn't long before his high functioning, alcoholic lifestyle came unstuck. The costs were enormous. On the road to rock bottom, Rod lost his wealth, and some of his most important relationships. It was a chance meeting with other recovering addicts that helped turn his life around. Now sober, Rod has nothing to hide. He talks candidly about his journey, warts and all .. along with his re-building process, and what he has learned about addiction, identity and purpose. "I think that's what Jefferson's attitude was: 'I'd rather not, but I'm probably the best person to do it.'" — Clay We return to our Jefferson 101 series this week with an episode about Jefferson’s road to the White House. Over the past few months, we've carried Jefferson from his birth in Virginia in 1743 right up to the brink of the time when he became the third president of the United States. We take for granted how our elections work. Back then, they didn't really have a blueprint: no conventions, no caucuses, no primaries, no debates. It was an informal system and we try to sort out how a reluctant person like Jefferson winds up being the president. Find this episode, along with further recommended reading, on the blog. Thomas Jefferson is interpreted by Clay S. Jenkinson.
