Volgens Autoblog mag de RDW die veiligheidsdata onder druk van Tesla niet openbaar maken. De vraag is dan ook: hoe transparant moet zulke technologie eigenlijk zijn? BMW heeft ondertussen de productie van de nieuwe elektrische i3 gestart. Het merk zegt dat de orderboeken al lekker vollopen. Ook Tesla komt opnieuw voorbij, want de verlengde Model Y L is opgedoken in de Nederlandse configurator. Met zes zitplaatsen en een bruikbare derde zitrij zou dit zomaar een interessanter gezinsalternatief voor de Model X kunnen worden. Verder bespreken we een waterstofauto die 654 km/u haalt, een Nederlandse Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut van ruim 4,1 miljoen euro die gewoon tussen de rijtjeshuizen staat en Fords plannen voor een vierdeurs Mustang met verbrandingsmotor. In het F1-nieuws gaat het over een mogelijke terugkeer van Zandvoort als noodrace en de waarschuwing van Mika Häkkinen aan McLaren: haal Max Verstappen vooral níét. Daneben widmen wir uns auch endlich dem Macbook Neo, mit dem Apple die Tech-Welt und vor allem alle Laptop-Hersteller überrascht und überrumpelt hat. Für den Preis ab etwa 700 Euro trotz nur 8 GB RAM und A18 Pro, dem SoC des iPhone 16 Pro, lässt das Gerät im Alltag wohl kaum zu wünschen übrig. Lenovo legt das Arbeitspferd der Thinkpads, die T-Serie, neu auf und setzt voll auf Reparierbarkeit: Akku leicht tauschbar, Arbeitsspeicher als LPCAMM2-Modul ausgeführt, tauschbares Tastaturfeld, USB-C-Anschlüsse nicht verlötet, Kühlsystem modular uvm. Leider nur fast perfekt, denn an einigen Stellen, wie das wohl weiterhin verlötete WiFi-Modul, gibt es laut ifixit, die beratend involviert waren, noch Verbesserungsbedarf. Viel Spaß mit Folge 300! Tijdens een test met een Hyundai ging het namelijk mis: de remmen deden het ineens niet goed, waardoor hij op hoge snelheid een andere auto aantikte. Best heftig. Daarna wat luchtigers: wintersport. Nicolas ging met een Skoda Kodiaq richting Oostenrijk en kwam tot een verrassende conclusie. Waar je vroeger een dikke diesel wilde voor lange ritten, blijkt zo’n moderne gezinsauto eigenlijk gewoon meer dan prima. Comfort, ruimte en gewoon 200 km/u kunnen rijden als het mag – niks mis mee. Verder wordt er natuurlijk weer autonieuws besproken. Denk aan de nieuwe BMW i3, die volgens hen misschien niet de mooiste is, maar technisch wel indruk maakt met tot 900 km range en supersnel laden. Ook interessant: hoe zit het eigenlijk met de levensduur van EV-accu’s? Uit cijfers blijkt dat zelfs oudere elektrische auto’s vaak nog boven de 80 à 90% capaciteit zitten. That's roughly a 30% improvement from the previous model. The boost in range is noteworthy, yet it still lags behind theChevy Bolt and the Tesla Model S, Model X and Model 3 vehicles. And it's only a smidge better than the much cheaper Nissan Leaf.
