Treballar a la cuina d'un restaurant sovint no és fàcil i això és el que mostra l'obra de teatre que la companyia Els Pirates porten aquest divendres a Lloret, titulada, precisament, La cuina. De fet, el director, Adrià Aubert, posa de relleu que la restauració i el món del teatre tenen en comú que són dos mons precaris. “Volíem parlar de la precarietat perquè al final el món del teatre i el món de la restauració són mons precaris i volíem parlar una mica del que ens passa a nosaltres amb moltes coses”Adrià Aubert La cuina mostra la història del Minvant, un restaurant familiar emblemàtic, que intenta sobreviure al barri del Raval de Barcelona i els personatges estan molt marcats per l'esgotament, la precarietat i l'esperit de supervivència. “És la història d'un restaurant familiar on la majoria de treballadors porten molt de temps treballant i veiem un restaurant una mica enrarit per algunes coses que a poc a poc s'aniran desvetllant”Adrià Aubert L'obra l'ha creada l'actriu i dramaturga Laura Aubert, que s'ha inspirat en La cuina d'Arnold Wesker, a partir de la traducció de Jordi Bordas i Coca, i ho ha complementat amb anècdotes reals que ha recollit de diferents treballadors del món de la restauració. Tot plegat fa que molts espectadors que treballen en aquest sector se sentin molt identificats amb el que veuen a l'obra. “Hem barrejat ficció amb algunes anècdotes que ens han explicat i alguns cuiners o cambrers que han vingut ens han dit que fins i tot ens hem quedat curts de les coses que han arribat a viure, però que s'hi sentien totalment identificats”Adrià Aubert L'obra busca posar sobre la taula la precarietat que hi ha en aquest món, a partir de la reflexió i l'humor, com passa, de fet, a la vida real, en què hi ha moments de tot. Recordem que l'obra s'inclou dins de la campanya Som gastronomia per commemorar que Catalunya és la regió mundial de la gastronomia aquest 2025. A través d'aquesta iniciativa, els espectadors poden presentar l'entrada als restaurants de l'Associació de Bars i restaurants de Lloret i obtindran un 10% de descompte. La cuina es podrà veure aquest divendres, a les 20 hores, i les entrades valen 17 euros. Potfunció amb els Amics del Teatre A més, després de la representació, els Amics del Teatre han organitzat una postfunció, per demanar a la companyia com han “cuinat” l'espectacle i, en aquest sentit, preguntar-los com ha estat el seu procés de creació, els reptes i les facilitats que han trobat en el muntatge, així com qualsevol curiositat sobre la companyia i l'obra. I, per acabar la postfunció, el xef lloretenc Joan Pau Romaní prepararà alguns dels seus “coneguts i deliciosos montaditos”. L'activitat és gratuïta per a tots els Amics del Teatre que assisteixin a veure l'obra aquest divendres. L'objectiu de l'entitat és que els espectadors gaudeixin d'alguna cosa més que la simple assistència a un espectacle.

As part of a visit to Georgia Cancer Center in Augusta, Georgia, CancerNetwork spoke with a variety of experts and faculty members regarding ongoing research and future initiatives dedicated to improving outcomes across different patient populations. These conversations touched upon potential developments in diseases including non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), multiple myeloma, and acute myeloid leukemia (AML). First, Girindra Raval, MD, an associate professor in the Department of Medicine: Hematology and Oncology of the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, discussed current studies at his institution that may help optimize treatment for patients with lung cancer. This research ranged from retrospective trials analyzing how demographic features may influence outcomes to biomarker-based assessments intended to augment the efficacy of immunotherapy. Looking towards the future, Raval stated that determining how to sequence and de-escalate treatment amidst several available therapeutic options will be a key concern in the field. Additionally, Amany Keruakous, MD, director of Myeloma Research at Georgia Cancer Center and assistant professor in the Department of Medicine: Hematology and Oncology at the Medical College of Georgia of Augusta University, detailed strategies for mitigating current challenges in multiple myeloma care. She emphasized fostering collaborative relationships between colleagues in community settings and academic institutions to help reduce barriers to treatment access among patients. Furthermore, she noted the importance of conducting additional clinical trials at community centers.  Finally, Daniel Peters, MD, an assistant professor at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University and bone marrow transplant & cellular therapy faculty member at Georgia Cancer Center, focused on key developments across the AML space. At his institution, Peters and colleagues are evaluating potential drivers of immune dysfunction, which may inform less intensive cellular therapy approaches or determine who is suitable to receive autologous types of treatment. Peters also discussed how additional research set for presentation at meetings like the 2025 American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting and Exposition (ASH) may affirm a shift away from 7+3 intensive chemotherapy for patients who are younger and fit with newly diagnosed AML.

La firma de Macaco (Daniel Carbonell, 53 años) estará vinculada siempre a la felicidad, al canto por la libertad, por lo colectivo, por la diversidad. Desde que comenzó cantando en las calles del Raval hasta el éxito de 'Moving' que le situó en el panorama musical internacional, se ha mantenido siempre fiel a esos principios durante casi tres décadas que ha dedicado a la música. El barcelonés mantiene la diversidad de géneros y estilos que siempre ha marcado su música, de los que se ha nutrido a lo largo de su carrera peor también en sus orígenes artísticos en Escudellers, en el barrio Gótico barcelonés, donde vivió con músicos procedentes de todo el mundo en una casa okupa. He then touched on his goals as director of the Georgia Cancer Center since taking over the role in 2019 and explained how it felt to leave MD Anderson after nearly 3 decades. Raval and Cortes also discussed how the hematologic oncology field has evolved during Cortes' career and how he expects the management of these malignancies as ongoing research continues. Cómo olvidar, por otra parte, que Ábalos presentó, con traje y corbata, la moción de censura en nombre de la limpieza y que Santos Cerdán fue el enviado a negociar la amnistía con los delincuentes nacionalistas, corrupción basal. También hizo hincapié en el número de cuenta en el que echar unos billetes para Ahmed Tommouhi (IBAN ES17-2100-9057-0002-0039-7561) y se congratuló de la respuesta ya perceptible a la iniciativa. Qué elocuente le parece la disputa entre Musk y Trump. Si el hombre más rico del mundo y el más poderoso llegan a estos niveles de vulgaridad, verdulería, casposidad y puerilidad, todo está permitido. Si tener la máxima riqueza y el máximo poder no protegen contra la imbecilidad, habrá que preguntarse qué protege contra ella. Y aún más: qué es la imbecilidad.
