LUCIANO CAPOZZI was born in Marino, a small town just outside Rome. After having completed his studies at the State Art Institute in Rome in 1986, Luciano took part in a Costume Designer competition and from the 300 applicants he was one of a few that were selected for the first ever design course to be given by Giulia Mafai, the famous Italian Costume Designer He graduated with the highest marks possible in his final diploma and began working first as a volunteer and later as an assistant to various professionals; Giulia Mafai included. During this time he had also begun to do work in his own right as a Costume Designer for both Cinema and the Theatre. The costumes for the Harold Pinter premier of The Basement and Arthur Miller's Clara were both the work of Luciano. Both of these were staged at a major festival in Italy. He went on to spend several years designing Costumes for both prominent Opera Houses and Theatre Companies worldwide before turning his hand to the world of Film & TV. The year 2005 brought the first international film, a co-pro between Spain and Italy, entitled Los Borgia by Antonio Hernandez. His work on this awarded him a nomination for Best Costume Design at the Premio GoyaAwards (Spain's National Film Awards). Then in 2008 he won 1st prize at the Festival International Cinéma et Costumes (France) and in 2009, 1st prize at the Premios Corona, Spain. In 2007 his Costumes for Ritorno a Rivombrosa, Directed by Stefano Alleva went on to win the Costume prize at The Rome Fiction Festival. In 2008 he started working on Doctor Clown, a TV series Directed by Maurizio Nichetti and that same year Supervised the Costume Design for Ti Stramo directed by both Pino Insegno & Gianluca Sodaro. His next project Il falco e la Colomba set in 16th Century Rome was praised by critics and public alike for his stunning work; thus earning him the reputation; without the shadow of a doubt, a Beautiful Designer. Luciano's experience spans period Costume design through to contemporary design with a strong emphasis on historical high-end TV Drama.

In this episode of the IJGC podcast, Editor-in-Chief Dr. Pedro Ramirez is joined by Dr. Vito Andrea Capozzi to discuss SLN alone in high-risk endometrial cancer. Dr. Capozzi works at the Department of Medicine and Surgery of the University Hospital of Parma, Italy. He shows special interest in gynecologic oncology, oncologic surgery, and translational medicine. Highlights: Sentinel lymph node mapping alone in high-risk endometrial cancer patients is an oncologically safe technique over a median observational time of 31 months. No significant difference in overall survival and disease-free survival was observed between sentinel lymph node alone and Lymphadenectomy groups. Patients with histologically proven nodal metastasis had overlapping survivals and disease-free survival in the sentinel lymph node alone and lymphadenectomy groups.

Nick Capozzi is the Head of Storytelling at Demostack and the VP of sales at Smile Virtual. He shares his start in sales by selling duty-free items on cruise ships and the lessons on relationship-building that he learned in the 10 years he eventually spent there. These lessons remain applicable even in B2B selling as being likable could be the key differentiator between you and your competition. Nick also discusses how to maximize video and use it to increase your chances of getting bookings, as well as the lasting value of asking about the weather to make a connection. HIGHLIGHTS Selling duty-free luxury items and crazy stories of on cruise ships B2C selling emphasized the importance of relationships in sales Take the prospect off the streets: People buy from people they like The secret to confidence on video is lighting The weather question is still a good conversation starter QUOTES One of the best ways to improve is to listen to your own calls Nick: "People don't do it themselves. They're afraid to watch themselves or listen to themselves. And if you just do it 3, 4, 5 times in a row, get over that fear, and you start to see your crutch words. You start to see your negative words. You start to see these things that can be kind of easily corrected, you just have to have the thought to do it." Lighting brings confidence on camera Nick: "The key thing to becoming comfortable on camera that everyone misses is they don't light themselves correctly. And if you see my videos, they all have the consistent look. And all I have is 2 $35 soft box lights and I have a $38 webcam. But the webcam makes me look better than I look and the lighting makes me look way better than I look, frankly. But if you feel subconsciously that you look good, you're going to present a lot better."
