In this episode of LegalCast on Mass Tort News, host Mark York welcomes Joseph Fantini from Philadelphia's Rosen Injury Law to discuss the latest updates in mass tort litigation. Fantini highlights Roundup as the hottest ongoing tort, with multiple trials underway and Bayer facing significant verdicts against them. He predicts potential inventory settlements due to the large number of filed cases. The discussion expands to include hernia mesh litigation, particularly focusing on Bard and Covidian cases, with expectations of a global settlement for Bard by the second half of the year. The conversation also touches on emerging torts like Ozempic and baby food-related lead exposure cases. Fantini emphasizes the importance of state court proceedings, especially in Philadelphia and California, for their potential advantages in terms of expert standards and timing. The discussion concludes with insights into ongoing cases like Tylenol and talc litigation, as well as legislative changes in Michigan regarding pharmaceutical liability statutes and the emergence of juvenile institutional sex abuse cases. Fantini offers his expertise and invites further inquiries from viewers. https://roseninjurylawyers.com/ Remember to subscribe and follow us on social media… LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/mass-tort-news/ Twitter: / https://twitter.com/masstortnewsorg Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/masstortnews/ Facebook: / https://www.facebook.com/masstortnews.org TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@masstortnews?lang=en
In this LegalCast episode, host Mark York engages in a deep dive into the world of mass torts with Joe Fantini from Rosen Injury Lawyers. Joe's extensive legal journey, from a law clerk in Philadelphia's Court of Common Pleas to transitioning between defense and plaintiff representation, provides a rich backdrop for the discussion. He emphasizes the diversity in firms engaging in mass torts, highlighting the opportunities for both large and small-scale firms to make a substantial impact. Throughout the conversation, Joe stresses the collective strength of legal alliances, emphasizing how firms banding together can effect significant change against corporate giants, benefiting affected individuals and reshaping market practices. He sheds light on ongoing cases in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, such as Roundup and Zantac, underlining the importance of venue familiarity in these litigations. Joe shares insights into compiling and disseminating complex tort-related information for wider comprehension, extending a helping hand to fellow attorneys navigating these intricate cases. The conversation navigates ethical concerns within the legal and marketing spheres, highlighting the need for genuine relationships with lead-generating vendors and anticipating increased regulation for industry integrity. Amidst newer, uncertain cases, Joe pinpoints Roundup and Hernia Mesh as promising litigations due to their defined criteria and ongoing developments, offering valuable guidance for firms considering involvement in these cases. https://roseninjurylawyers.com/

Email: podcast@larno.itFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/larno.itTwitter: @arno_it / @WhatsupTuscanyEmail: podcast@larno.itFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/larno.itTwitter: @arno_it / @WhatsupTuscanyI LINK ALLE FONTIhttps://www.oksiena.it/news/storia-del-palio-i-fantini-cattivi-130616190300.htmlhttps://www.ilpalio.org/sch1911.2.7.htmhttps://www.ilpalio.org/sch1901.2.7.htmBACKGROUND MUSICPipe Choir - Bom Bom Breakthrough (Instrumental)WUFO - Hyde ParkWayne John Bradley - Pick you upProfound Beats - Lo-fiEzaOne - SupernovaWayne John Bradley - Blues Rock Original InstrumentalAll released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licensehttps://soundcloud.com/pipe-choir-2/pipe-choir-bom-bom-breakthrough-creative-commons-instrumentalhttps://soundcloud.com/argofox/wufo-hyde-parkhttps://soundcloud.com/ayneohnradley/pick-you-up-slow-poprock-style-instrumental-creative-commonshttps://soundcloud.com/profoundbeats/profound-beats-lo-fi-free-downloadhttps://soundcloud.com/argofox/ezaone-supernovahttps://soundcloud.com/ayneohnradley/blues-rock-original-instrumentalcreative-commonshttp://www.pipechoir.com/

Canadian cyclocross star Michael van den Ham, who started racing gravel in 2018, looks at how much the sport has changed in four years. He was second at his first gravel event, Mid South, after he finished his cyclocross season that year, took a short break and did a bit of training. This year, after CX wrapped up, van den Ham tried a similar strategy and says he was blown out the back of the pack at Mid South. Still, he's not doing too badly this spring. He won Paris to Ancaster in April. Just recently, he took the win at Grinduro in California. Soon, he'll be competing at Lost and Found instead of taking on Unbound. This episode also features interviews with two up-and-coming endurance track riders. From the infield at the Milton velodrome during the most recent Nations Cup, Ngaire Barraclough and Sarah van Dam discuss their races. Barraclough competed in the scratch race. Later, during the omnium competition, she won the first event, which was another scratch race. Van Dam had a crash in the elimination race, but was able to get back on her bike and finish in an impressive sixth place.Ottawa's Alex Cataford checks in from the Giro d'Italia. No pizza for him during the stage in Naples, nor any wine after a winery visit. (Fantini is a major sponsor of Cataford's Israel-Premier Tech team.) Grand Tour racing is truly hard.

Today's guest is Dimitri Fantini…a great drummer and instructor based in Maryland. I personally subscribe to his Patreon and I suggest you do the same thing. Since Dimitri is technically one of my online instructors, I thought I'd invite him on to discuss some myths that we hear being taught that are just wrong. We had a great time, but tended to agree on almost everything…BORING! Anyways, we dissect the following myths: 1) Only practice what you're bad at/If you sound good, you're not practicing. 2) There is one correct way to hold a stick. 3) Learning more "stuff" or patterns will make me a better drummer 4) Drums sound best when hit in the center (rimshots or toms). It "rides" the fader in real-time and keeps both my and my guest's audio at a consistent level without the need to overcompress. I also use an endless of amount of their plugins for my musical recordings such as Abbey Road Saturator, CLA Drums, the SSL Channel, and many more. The word “vandalism” comes from the Vandals, a Germanic tribe that sacked Rome in the middle of the 5th century. These “barbarians,” as Roman writers called them, actually behaved much better than their name might suggest. For example, they spared the lives of most of Rome's citizens and left her buildings standing—including, notably, Christian churches. This was because the Vandals themselves claimed the name of Christ—although their theology was of a type condemned by orthodox Christians. Modern vandals, on the other hand, fail to live up to their namesakes' example. Over the last few months, Europe has seen a wave of attacks against churches and other Christian sites. CBN reports that in countries like France and Germany, there has been “…a spike in violent vandalism, desecrating cherished churches and Christian symbols...” To clarify what the report means by “spike,” there were over one thousand attacks just in 2018, and the vandalism involved more than spray paint. Crucifixes, icons, statues, and sacramental vessels were damaged and destroyed. Sometimes attacks included human waste. According to Roman Catholic clergy in France, an average of two churches per day are desecrated. And that doesn't include Protestant sites. Recently, the Reformation Wall in Geneva was hit. The intended message of the vandals was made clear by the rainbow paint dumped all over the statues of 16th-century Reformers William Farel, Theodore Beza, John Knox, and John Calvin. This wasn't even the first act of vandalism at this site this year. Back in March, feminist activists graffitied the Reformation monument with the insightful message, “Where are the women?” Around the same time, Newsweek quoted Ellen Fantini, the executive director of a Vienna-based organization that tracks religious discrimination. She said that while the motives and identity of vandals aren't always clear, France in particular faces a surge of anti-Christian violence by “anarchist and feminist groups.” According to Fantini, attacks were up 25 percent in March over the same time last year. The fact that Christianity is no longer Europe's dominant religion, and hasn't been for some time, is not new news. Pew Research reports that while a majority of Western Europeans still identify as Christians, just 22 percent attend services at least once a month. Compare that with the U. S., where around half attend regularly. Increasingly, Europeans are devoted to a different religion—a militant form of secularism that sees the continent's Christian past as a time of darkness and oppression—a time to be not just forgotten, but intentionally abandoned. Yet how many of those who desecrate churches and vandalize religious monuments even know what it is they're attacking? How much could those who dumped rainbow paint on the Reformers in Geneva tell us about them, other than they were Christians...or men? But ignorance and/or cynicism of the past is a feature of the kind of secularism dominating western culture right now. C. S. Lewis dubbed it “chronological snobbery”—the belief that past people were unenlightened, evil, or just stupid. As Art Lindsley writes, chronological snobbery “not only rejects the values of the past, it claims that the study of history itself is pointless.” The Christians who built Europe's great churches—indeed, who built European civilization itself—are no longer read, nor are their beliefs taken seriously. Instead, along with their statues and churches, they are consigned to the ash-heap of history, condemned for not embracing our modern ideas about sexuality, gender, and God. Ancient Rome was sacked by Vandals. Western culture today has been invaded by ideas. Bad ones. It's a sad fate for a continent once alive with Christian faith—a continent that, today, is still littered with its buildings and monuments.
