In this Masterclass episode, Evante Daniels returns to unpack the power of authenticity in branding and how embracing your unique identity can translate into profitability. It's not just about showing up—it's about making sure your presence is tied to measurable impact, market share, and long-term brand equity. We also break down real-world examples of cultural branding done right—from hip-hop moguls to streetwear legends—and how businesses can leverage their narratives to elevate influence, establish credibility, and turn cultural capital into actual capital.Whether you're a creator, executive, or entrepreneur, this conversation will challenge you to rethink your brand positioning, embrace your full identity, and ensure your brand isn't just culturally relevant—but financially powerful.Tap in for Part 3 of this powerful Masterclass with Evante Daniels! Branding is NOT just your logo, colors, or typography. It is perception. It is how people see you, interpret you, and experience you.In this masterclass episode, creative strategist and brand expert Evante Daniels, CSO & Founder of Seeqer, breaks down his biggest branding pet peeves, why marginal market differentiation is the key to success, and how trying to be too different can actually hurt your brand. If your brand stands out more than 5% from the standard, you risk losing connection with your audience. Think of it like seasoning—too much, and no one wants to eat it.We dive into brand standards, color theory, market framing, positioning, and consumer psychology to help you build a brand that resonates while infusing culture to influence brand perception to expand community and loyalty. You do not need to reinvent everything. You need to find your lane. Your brand should reflect who you are becoming, not just where you are today. It is not about faking it until you make it. It is about positioning yourself with passion, potential, and power. This is Part 1 of a must-listen branding conversation.Beyond The Episode Gems:Follow Evante Daniels On LinkedIn For Creative & Brand Insights, Strategy, Content, & MemesInterested In Working With Evante and Seeqer? (The Disturbing Case of the Bell Witch) *** The pentagram is most often seen in film and television as a symbol of Satan, or dark witchcraft – but that is not the reality of pentagram. The symbol has a much wider and richer history than what is portrayed in today's entertainment mediums. While the practices and beliefs of Wicca, gnostics, and druids use the pentagram in their practices, as do Satanists, the pentagram was (and sometimes still is) used by Christian believers as well – which I'm sure comes as quite a shock to those who don't know the full history behind this five pointed star. (The Paranormal Pentagram) *** I have told innumerable stories involving the death of someone, be it brutal, mysterious, or even darkly humorous. But it is high time I share a few stories of people who died… but then returned to the living. Not as ghosts, but as regular flesh-and-blood human beings who just happened to survive their own death. (They Survived Their Own Deaths) *** The Lake Bodom murders may well be the most famous unsolved homicide in Scandinavian Criminal History. Occurring in 1960 and claiming 3 victims with 1 injured survivor it is a Finnish zeitgeist that at one time or another had the whole of Finland enraptured. In this episode of the Jeff Bradbury Show Podcast, Jeff welcomes former NBA player, author, and motivational speaker Dean Tolson on to the podcast to discuss his journey from an orphanage not ever learning how to read or write to becoming a Magna Cum Laude Master's Degree student . . . with a stop in the middle playing for the NBA's Seattle Supersonics. If you are a new listener to TeacherCast, we would love to hear from you. So, when the colleges came running, he accepted a full ride to the University of Arkansas. Despite being unable to read or write, he went on to be one of the most prolific players to grace the Razorbacks' campus. In 1974, Tolson was the first basketball player to be drafted by both the NBA and the ABA, having been selected by the Seattle Supersonics and the New York Nets, respectively, ultimately playing for the legendary Bill Russell in Seattle. Following his basketball career, Tolson made the courageous decision to re-enroll at the University of Arkansas, and repeated all four years, this time legitimately. At the age of fifty-two, he returned to the university for three more years, earning a master's degree and graduated magna cum laude. Tolson's gripping story from his childhood in an orphanage to his academic achievements is not only an indictment of a system that would just “pass you along” from grade to grade as a hot basketball prospect without any educational accountability, but also an inspiring story of overcoming great odds to find success.Links of Interest Book: Power Forward Website: https://www.deantolson.com. How do you create adventure? We continue to explore this question with snowmobile guide, avalanche educator, entrepreneur, and adventure innovator Curtis Pawliuk. In part 2, Curtis talks about creating North America's first snowmobile assisted ski area, Crystal Ridge. He also touches on how he started his snowmobile instructional services company Frozen Pirate as well as his involvement in creating a snowmobile guide association. Curtis is based in Valemount, British Columbia.Key TakeawaysBe Collaborative: Being willing to work with all groups and being respectful of all stakeholders is a far more sustainable approach than going it alone.Be Creative: Every adventure experience has evolved into what it is now, over time. Creating adventure can require us to think outside the box and to try new things and ways of doing them.Be Structured: This involves creating a plan, and therefore you will need a process to develop that plan. Using the snowmobile guiding association as an example they have a plan, and are enacting that plan in an organized wayPresentation Skills: Creating anything requires that you be good at influencing people in a positive way. Find Weird Darkness wherever you listen to podcasts: https://linktr.ee/weirddarkness IN THIS EPISODE: The pentagram is most often seen in film and television as a symbol of Satan, or dark witchcraft – but that is not the reality of pentagram. It is now a buzzword for murder and mystery in the small country. (The Lake Bodom Murders) *** The tale of the Bell Witch has gone on to become one of the most well known hauntings in American history and an iconic historical horror story, but of course it has left us to debate and speculate on whether any of it is true, and if so just what was the Bell Witch? She combines her 23 years' experience mentoring and being mentored in the recovery field with her career in marketing, film, media, TV, advertising, real estate and customer service (and a passion for fashion) to be a trusted source for solutions to what is getting between you and the life you want. She offers two paths to progress. One is her unique LifeStyle Statement sessions, in which women uncover their personal themes which are distilled into a one-of-a-kind Statement which can then be taken to every area of their life from wardrobe to relationships to their business to their career and their home. The other are her “pressure relief” mini-intensives where the focus is on moving closer to your vision through exploring and tackling personal and marketing issues which are keeping you stuck, whether clarifying your website's message to your clients, looking at how you spend your time and money, decluttering (mental and physical), dressing as who you want to be, assessing the first impression your media and home office make on your ideal clients and creating action plans to get you the life you want. When she's not doing this, she's interviewing women entrepreneurs on her podcast Conversations About Closets With My Closet 1000 Friends, about what they do, why and what they love about it, with one or two questions in there about clothing (there's that passion for fashion!). Michael Breus | Power of When | Book Review by Lisa Woodruff My February book reviews are focused on personality tests, uniqueness, and how learning about your own approach to the world can benefit your personal growth and your business team. The Power of When: Discover Your Chronotype - and the Best Time to Eat Lunch, Ask for a Raise, Have Sex, Write a Novel, Take Your Meds, and More by Dr. Michael Breus begins by describing four chronotypes. Your chronotype is the internal biological clock that runs your body. In this book, he explains what the best time of day is to do literally everything based on your personal chronotype. In my book report, I share how we use this information at Organize 365 to improve productivity. I would love to hear if you have learned about your chronotype and how that has helped you get more organized or live a better life. You can also watch this as a video review on YouTube. Today I'm talking to Zarinah El-Amin, CEO of Book Power Publishing and author of the brand-new book Book Power, about how to get over the excuses you may be giving yourself for not doing anything creative. And wow, does she deliver!
My guest today is Plamen Russev, Founder of Webit, author of Power to the People — the New Marketing and the man who successfully rebranded a whole city — not a small feat in any capacity. I’ve had the privilege to be both a panelist and a moderator at Webit’s events and I am always quite impressed by the quality and level of the people that agree to participate. I’m very excited to finally have a chance to talk to Dr. Russev about how he came to be so well connected, what it took to shift a 20K attendee event to virtual in a matter of days, what it really takes to run successful events as well as the need to be more responsible to ensure a sustainable future for humanity. Tips Having a strong team can make or break a launch — keep the right people around you and rely on their expertise. Community, team, and platform are the three most important aspects of a successful virtual event. Growing a network is hard work — Giving back, forgetting your ego, and trying to make a difference play a large part. Don’t put your reputation and health at risk for an in-person event. When it comes to social media, it’s all about authenticity and being yourself. In his book “Power Trip: The Story of Energy,” professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Michael E. Webber describes how the rise of the world’s most successful societies can be told largely through the story of how they managed the energy sources to them. “Power Trip” explores how energy has transformed societies of the past and offers wisdom for today's looming energy crisis. We examine how the history of one kind of power is intrinsically linked with another, in this edition of “Leonard Lopate at Large” on WBAI.

The Alien Adventures of Finn Caspian: Science Fiction for Kids
In today's episode, the kids in Explorers' Troop 301 once again find themselves in trouble on the surface of an alien planet, as the giant Saphrite sends out an army to stop the invaders. And once again, the explorers have to head beneath the surface of a planet before they can blast off. But! What does it mean when you head below the surface of a living planet? It means some…interesting…terrain. SPOILER ALERT: DON'T READ THIS BEFORE LISTENING TO THE EPISODE: Today's episode ends with a riddle. Here is the text of it. If listeners know the answer, email earth@finncaspian.com, and we'll relay it to the explorers. We'll also send out a prize to everyone who submits a correct (or reasonable) answer: Around you I spin but disappear Whenever you see gold I’ve been around for millions of years But I’m only a month old. Send us your answers! And I know we're asking a lot, but keep that BeeBop food flowing in, along with the jokes, to beebop@finncaspian.com. You can also, of course, call our voice mail: 773-683-3166. Jack Goldsmith interviews Charlie Savage on his new book, Power Wars: Inside Obama's Post-9/11 Presidency, for a discussion of the Obama administration’s national security legacy. The conversation is full of insider accounts of just about all of the most important Obama administration legal and policy decisions. Savage discusses how Abdulmutallab’s failed underwear bombing affected President Obama, and the two discuss exactly why a president who came into office critiquing Bush's national security policies ended up keeping so many of them. Savage and Goldsmith even touch on whether he will actually shutter Guantanamo Bay.
