Matt tears open the mailbag to discuss 2022 fantasy football rookie draft strategy. In this episode, Matt fields questions on a range of topics relating to the fantasy football value of 2022 NFL Draft prospects. He debates whether Drake London and David Bell's inability to separate consistently puts them at risk of being the next N'Keal Harry or JJ Arcega Whiteside. Then, he suggests Kyren Williams and Jashaun Corbin have the potential of being 3 down backs at the next level. The episode also features a discussion around whether Chris Olave's fantasy football value is following the same path that Justin Jefferson's did through the 2020 NFL Draft cycle. The Philadelphia Eagles lose to the Seattle Seahawks in the playoffs by a score of 17-9. Carson Wentz left the game with a concussion after a dirty hit from Jadeveon Clowney. Considering the circumstances of Josh McCown coming into the game for a significant amount of time, I thought Doug Pederson coached a great game. His mindset was obviously to keep the team involved and to be aggressive late. There were definitely times when he was more cautious than normal, but I thought it was an effective way to do it. Zach Ertz battled with his rib injury, Dallas Goedert made plays, and Fletcher Cox dominated. The guys battled hard and gave the fans everything they could. There are some plays that frustrated me defensively. For example, there were too many third down conversions for the Seahawks and Russell Wilson. DK Metcalf torched the DBs and Howie Roseman should be disgusted that JJ Arcega-Whiteside was drafted over him. At the end of the day, I am proud that they battled and that they were involved in a 1 possession game with under 2 minutes to go with the ball close to the end zone. With the cards they were dealt..... I am sort of impressed. The Philadelphia Sixers snap their four game losing streak by beating the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Wells Fargo Center. Joel Embiid dislocated his finger, but returned to the game and had 18 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. Ben Simmons was rock solid as he provided 15 rebounds on top of his 17 points and eight assists. Brett Brown is using him as the screener with Josh Richardson again and it is clearly working. Richardson scored 23 points and was effective. Al Horford scored in double digits which is what this team needs and Mike Scott hit a couple three-pointers in the fourth quarter! Trey Burke had a decent run off the bench. It was a very solid win as Brown was looking for the guys to "hunt threes" and they sure did. The Sixers finished shooting 50% from behind the arc.

The Eagles pulled off an impressive (that may be a subjective word) overtime win against the Giants on Monday Night Football and they still control their own destiny as far as getting into the postseason. I don't care what happens next but I'm going to enjoy this win for what it is -- a WIN! Doug Pederson had a REALLY great game as far as play calling and decision making, Boston Scott & Miles Sanders did the heavy lifting for the running backs, Greg Ward held it down for the very shorthanded wide receiver core, and JJ Arcega-Whiteside even made a big play. The defense did their thing as well, outside of two big plays. I talk about it all and two of Pederson's decisions that I agree with.

The Eagles lost to the Detroit Lions at home as they were not focused and disciplined all game long. Carson Wentz delivered a ball to JJ Arcega-Whiteside at the goal line with the game on the line and he dropped it. This was a common theme as the receivers dropped a total of seven balls, but that's not all! Miles Sanders fumbled the ball twice (one was recovered by the Eagles) and Nelson Agholor fumbled as well. There were three offensive pass interference calls against the birds and they allowed a special teams touchdown on their first kickoff of the game after taking a 3-0 lead on the first offensive possession. This was a pathetic loss and with a short week, things will get interesting.

The Philadelphia Eagles played their 3 rd preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens, losing 26-15 before the game was cancelled due to weather. The 1st team offense led by Cody Kessler (Carson Wentz did not play) struggled, but the offense led by newly signed Josh McCown played well, scoring 2 touchdowns. The biggest winner from the outing was JJ Arcega-Whiteside. The rookie WR had 8 catches for 104 yards and a touchdown. How confident are you in JJAW going into 2019? Will he be a key contributor this season, or will it takea year or two for him to find a consistent role? We’ll talk about the expectations we have for him, as well as our other reactions from the game. Then we’ll discuss the biggest news from this past weekend: Andrew Luck’s surprising retirement. Was it wrong of him to retire only weeks before the season, or does he have every right to make this decision for his health? And where does this leave the Colts? Can Jacoby Brissett be the guy for them? We’ll also discuss Lamar Miller’s season-ending injury and what it means for the Texans’ backfield. And, as always, we’ll finish the show with our “No Huddle” segment.

How likely is Dwayne Haskins to ascend in the NFL? Daniel Jones is a surefire bust. Will Grier is a top-3 quarterback prospect. Ryquell Armstead is a top sleeper RB prospect. Miles Sanders is best comparable to Melvin Gordon. Mike Weber is surprisingly still under-the-radar. Darrell Henderson is the best undersized running back in the NFL Draft. N'Keal Harry is the best, most versatile WR prospect in the NFL Draft. A.J. Brown is a superior wide receiver to D.K. Metcalf, because the NFL is featuring the big slot archetype more than ever. JJ Arcega Whiteside and Hakeem Butler are both tantalizing prospects but A.J. Green comps are unfair. Parris Campbell is a far superior draft prospect to Terry McLaurin. The 2019 Tier Buster Series continues as Paul and Matt discuss the 2019 Wide Receiver class. They start the show by discussing the depth of the position, how it has every type of style wide receiver possible this year and how razor thin the margin is between many of the prospects in the tiers and rankings.  Next they start discussing their 2019 Wide Receiver Tiers. They discuss what traits, characteristics, draft projections and dynasty projections make up their tiers. They put over 45 Wide Receiver prospects into five different tiers. Some of the names discussed in great detail include Kelvin Harmon, Marquis Brown, A.J. Brown, DK Metcalf, JJ Arcega-Whiteside, Hakeem Butler, Parris Campbell, Deebo Samuel, Riley Ridley, Emmanuel Hall, Stanley Morgan Jr. Diontae Johnson, Hunter Renfrow and many others.  To end they show they each share a few names of who could surprise in year one and outproduce their draft slot and play a bigger role than possibly expected in year one.  To purchase the S2s Premium Notebooks for $9.99 or to read the full descriptions of what is in each notebooks, click here.   Sponsors: Scouting Academy   Hosts:  Matt Caraccio (@matty_S2S) Paul Perdichizzi (@paulie23ny) Editor: David Nakano (@kawikaNakano) Website: Saturday2SundayFootball (@s2sfootball)

Readyforthedraft.com's Gregg Schutze shares his passion for the NFL draft and takes you on a journey leading up to the 2019 NFL Draft. Episode 12 starts by taking a look at how Week 10 affected the College Football Playoff. With LSU's loss to Alabama, Notre Dame an Michigan are behind Alabama and Clemson with Georiga and Oklahoma the first two teams out. Gregg notes that Tua Tagovailoa has put up insane stats on the year while just playing in three quarters. However, while he's the odds-on favorite for the Heisman Trophy, could it be argued that fellow QB's and likely Heisman finalists Kyler Murray and Will Grier are more valuable to their teams? Gregg also talks quarterbacks for the 2019 Draft. Ryan Finley, Drew Lock and Will Grier are the front runners at the top of the draft class. Gregg also removed all underclassmen from his rankings until January when we know exactly who will be entering the draft. However, he does discuss why he feels Justin Herbert, Dwayne Haskins, Nate Stanley and Jarrett Stidham would all benefit from another year in school. If there is an underclassmen likely to enter the draft, it may be Tyree Jackson, who has led the Buffalo Bulls to an 8-1 record. The Wide Receiver class doesn't have the depth at the top in terms of viable 1st Round candidates, but the depth is in Day 2 and early Day 3 wideouts. While Marquise Brown, A.J. Brown and N'Keal Harry get all the hype at the top of the draft class, Kelvin Harmon is quickly emerging as a legitimate 1st Round candidate. Hakeem Butler and JJ Arcega-Whiteside are bringing the basketball mentality to the football field, while the Texas duo of Lil'Jordan Humphrey and Collin Johnson show of a tremendous catch radius., while David Sills V has a knack for finding the end zone. Buffalo's Anthony Johnson announced he's back with a huge game against Miami, OH. Gregg also mentions sleeper WR picks Preston Williams, Jonathan Duhart and Andy Isabella, all of whom are potential Day 3 picks who have a chance to make an NFL Roster.

In the latest episode of the Sun Devil Source Report Premium Podcast, publisher Chris Karpman and host Rob Werner are joined by staff reporters Jack Harris, Max Madden, and Mason Kern as they preview Arizona State's Week 8 matchup against David Shaw's Stanford Cardinal. The game is set for Thursday, Oct. 18 with a 6 p.m. kickoff at Sun Devil Stadium and will be televised on ESPN. In this podcast we start by providing some context to ASU landing four-star cornerback prospect Jordan Clark. After starting the season 4-0, the Cardinal is coming off of consecutive loses against No. 5 Notre Dame on the road and Utah at home, both by double-digits. Why has Stanford looked lackluster in previous weeks? We analyze a Cardinal offense that is headlined by one of the better running backs in nation in senior Bryce Love as well as standout senior wide receiver JJ Arcega-Whiteside and discuss their roles in Stanford's offense that is scoring just over 25 points per game. While the running game has struggled for the majority of Stanford's season (averaging just 85 rush years per game), how will ASU be able to stop Stanford's ground-and-pound attack? Junior quarterback KJ Costello is in his first full year as David Shaw's starting quarterback and has excelled in 2018. The former highly-touted prospect is currently fourth in the conference in passing yards (1,611), quarterback rating (152.2) and third in yards per attempt (8.9). How will the Sun Devils be able to make Costello uncomfortable? Shaw's offenses have largely operated out of power formations, bringing extra offensive linemen and multiple tight ends into sets to run the ball down opponents throats. What tight ends have been critical in Stanford's offense so far in 2018? Stanford's defense is led by fifth-year defensive coordinator Lance Anderson and uses a 3-4 scheme. This season, the Cardinal returns six defensive starters from 2017. After the defense took a step back last year for Stanford, that unit has continued to struggle in 2018 allowing over 400 yards per game but has only allowed a modest 22 points per game. Why has the defense has issues for much of the season? Stanford’s secondary has been banged up for much of this season, and Stanford ranks just 85th in the country in pass defense and is allowing opponents to complete over 62 percent of passes. What are some of the injuries that have caused Stanford’s secondary to be more thin? After we each provide our keys to the game, we make our picks for each Pac-12 game taking place in Week 8 and conclude with our score predictions for ASU's test against Stanford.
