Here are some quotes. “The Clean200 are the largest 200 public companies ranked by green energy revenues… Geographically… the United States dominated the 2022 list, with 52 companies on the Clean200, while Canada had the second largest share with 18, closely followed by China, which 16 Clean200 companies are headquartered in. Ms. Foster writes, quote… “In the fifth annual Barron's ranking of America's Most Sustainable Companies, shares of the 100 companies on our list returned 34.4%, on average, in 2021, besting the S&P 500 index's 28.7%... 41 of the 100 companies on last year's list beat the market in 2021.” End quotes. Barron's top five are NVIDIA, ON Semiconductor, Crocs, Inc., Applied Materials, and Jones Lang LaSalle. ------------------------------------------------------------- 3. The Stocks Topping ESG Rankings. And More… Now Mavis Babcock at topnewsguide.com has penned this article titled Top 5 ESG Stocks To Radar Now. Here are their names followed by some brief quotes on each one. “1) Viking Energy Group (OTCMKTS:VKIN) is perfect for any speculative investor searching for ESG investments. The diversified green company has made three recent acquisitions; a carbon capture system that produces sellable commodities from carbon emissions, a medical waste treatment device called the ‘OZONE', and a Green Renewable Diesel Production Facility in Reno that it is extremely close to closing on. 2) Mattel Inc. A quarter ago, it was expected that this truck, tractor and bus maker would post earnings of $0.22 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.36, delivering a surprise of 63.64%. 5) Ternium S.A. (NASDAQ:TX) Is another stock in the ESG sector which has been showing consistent rise. Our guest for this episode Larry Meyers, father of Josh & Seth Meyers. Josh Meyers is an actor, writer, and comedian whose many credits include: That 70s Show, Red Oaks, The Awesomes, and MADtv. While on MADtv, Josh co-wrote and co-starred in one of the biggest viral hits of the entire series – a sketch called “A Football Thing.” Josh is also well known for his impressions, including Owen Wilson, Matthew McConaughey, & California Governor Gavin Newsom. Seth Meyers is an actor, writer, comedian, and talk show host. One of Seth’s first big breaks was Saturday Night Live, where he eventually became co-head writer and anchor on Weekend Update. His tenure on SNL was one of the longest in the history of the show. Subsequently, Seth became the host of Late Night with Seth Meyers where his A Closer Look segments have become viral sensations. In addition, Seth has won an Emmy Award for his writing, hosted various award shows (Emmy’s Golden Globes, ESPYs), and has his own Netflix stand-up comedy special: Lobby Baby (absolutely hysterical). Josh & Seth are fortunate to have Larry Meyers as their father. So, what the premise is takes the Rolling Stone list of the Top 500 albums of all time, and then go through those albums with a guest and reviews, the album. What I love about this a couple of different things. It brings out its music, number one, which is, people have a different everybody's got a different connection to music so I big Anthony jeselnik band but I get to hear, like, you know, how is he like what music does he care about what is his interpretation of this album. What matters to him right, it's, it's a whole different perspective than we typically get from the stand up comics, which is, you know, the comedy aspect of it I also like the 500, and knowing what the parameters are that this podcast is going to sit in, like, what is the framework for this podcast which is 500 500 episodes, big fan of Josh Meyers there's also something very interesting in the. I went to skank fest Comedy Festival in 2018 for the first time I went to go see Bert kreischer and Jim gaffigan, were there and then at the end of the night they did. Joshua Meyers band at the goddamn comedy jam, which was a, which was a where comedians get up and perform music and it just, it, it hit home, hit hard, emotionally, so I'm forever a fan but here's one other point when you are connected to somebody at work, like from an emotional high point. You give you allow them in a little bit more and so I got to a place I usually listen to the bonfire, which was Dan soder and big Jay oakerson show on Monday morning I think they're in a contract negotiation with Sirius XM but like let me go find something else that's comedy related but not like hardcore. comedy right like, yeah, comedy related but not like the stuff where it's just like sitting to last it's comedians. chatting about some different things. According to a recent survey, shopping is improving the mood of most Americans during the Covid-19 pandemic. Shopping platform Slickdeals partnered with research company OnePoll to do a survey of 2,000 Americans last April. Participants were asked how the recent health crisis affected their shopping habits. Results showed that impulse buying online during the pandemic resulted in a positive mood for 72% of the respondents. Additionally, 65% of the participants said that buying something on impulse can turn a bad day around. Since the start of the pandemic, 46% of the respondents have bought groceries online for the first time. Based on the findings, cleaning supplies, followed by hand soap, detergent, and toilet paper, are the top items that Americans have bought impulsively. Around 18% of the respondents have also splurged on home improvement items. Other things people spent their money on were books, video game consoles, clothes, and shoes. The survey results also revealed that many Americans consider impulse buying as a way to save money. According to the data, more than half of the respondents buy impulsively to take advantage of a deal. Josh Meyers, the CEO of Slickdeals, agrees that taking advantage of online shopping deals for essential items is actually a good way to save money. He also believes that it is a useful strategy during times of uncertainty like the Covid-19 pandemic. More than half of the respondents said that they intend to continue doing online shopping even when the situation normalizes. This means that consumer shopping habits will remain changed even when the health crisis ends.
