Gas prices are so high here in Arizona. I bet they are high where you live also. To add insult to injury is that our one car uses Premium Gas which is priced the highest here in Arizona. Our Gas expenses is way up for the year over last year. As we all know Inflation has affected pretty much all areas of our lives. Our Grocery prices have gone up here also. So, we try to do anything we can do to save money on our household spending. Especially with our two boys that seem to always be eating. I know on paper Inflation has made our House value look good. Our house is probably worth over $200,000 more than we paid for it. The issue with that is if we would sell our house than where do we live? We would need to buy another house and would spend the same amount or more. If we decided to rent then rents have gone way up also down here because of the low Inventory. So, we are happy saving a little bit of money on gas. This app we use isn't going to get anyone rich. It isn't a get rich quick scheme but it does work. We have received money back from them. We have to get gas anyway so we might as well save some money also. Hi I'm Brian Pombo, welcome back to Brian J Pombo Live. And that's the question who are you doing it for? I come to this question by coming across a quote by P.T. Barnum. P.T. Barnum of, you know, the circus and so forth, he wrote in a book called, The Art of Money Getting. And in that book, he said, "If all the world were blind, except myself, I should not care for fine clothes or furniture." And it's a funny way of looking at it, if you really consider the idea. Okay, everyone's blind. Now, except for you, would you still be wearing the same clothes, driving the same car? Would your house look as nice? Would you even have the same items or would it matter at all? I mean, you still got all the same relationships, everything else that people can't see. And it brings up the concept of who are you doing it all for? You know, what's it all about for you, in the end, and you eventually have to get to that point anyway, best you get to it as quickly as possible, is who are you doing it for? Now, there is advantages, especially if you're looking to encourage people to do what you've done, to have some very visible evidence of that. I mean, that's really necessary. If you're training people to do the same thing, you kind of have to put on a bit of a show. And as long as you realize that, that's what you're doing if you realize that your life is a show and that the certain things that you purchase aren't for you that you realize that really is for other people, and you're okay with that, then that's fine. Most of us don't think about it, what we end up doing is we end up including it into our psyche of everything that we want. And everything that we want to do and want to have and want to be, it's all tangled up with what other people think about us, even after you've been relatively successful, there's still a little bit in there. Sometimes the people change, it may not be the people you went to high school with. Now it's the people at work, or it's the people who are making who are at a higher stratosphere of money-making than you are perhaps, you know if you're looking to become a millionaire, you want to impress the millionaires, if you're looking to be a billionaire, you want to impress the billionaires. And so there's always tends to be a little bit of that there. It's I don't think it's that important to, you know, completely rid yourself of all of that. I think it's important for you to know what your motivations are. And realize that pleasing other people in terms of or making other people jealous, depending on how you look at it shoving in other people's faces that only gets you so much of a high. Then after that you're gonna come down off of it, regardless of whether you're driving around a Rolls Royce or whatever. And you're left with okay, what's, what am I doing for me? And what am I doing for the betterment of, of all that is good in the world, or whatever, you know, you have to come back to the idea beyond that. Because no matter what, you're going to be left with that anyways, at the end of the day, you're going to be left with just what you got in front of you. If that makes sense. Hopefully, it does. I just really I like this quote the way P.T. Barnum puts it and it's within a section of his book where he goes into some of these ideas. So it's an interesting point that I just thought I'd throw out there to you. Now, I work with business owners and executives, and I look at partnering up either purchasing their business or in partnering up with their business and finding a way to be able to build equity. I received some JUICY questions for this Q&A episode. These questions really expanded my thinking and perception and in this episode I'm just thinking out loud with you and letting you in on what came up for me when I considered these questions. I don't have all the answers but I'm sharing my honest experiences and thoughts and my aim is to that considering these questions with me opens you up to YOUR truth too. Here are the questions I dive into answering and pondering in this episode: ✧ I have been wondering about how they say that everything is and goes as it's meant to and happens at a divine timing, and at the same time it's supposed to be us creating our lives and future. Does this mean that people who never learn about manifesting and stuff and end up living a miserable and unfulfilling life were meant to have it that way and die with their dreams and potential inside of them? I'm just confused about the balance between our own responsibility to make things happen and trusting that things will end up perfectly anyway. And whether or not it's never even supposed to get good for some people. It seems a bit harsh. (3:44) ✧ What are your best tips specifically to someone who really wants to manifest abundance and money, and is currently struggling financially? (18:28) ✧ How do I get clear on what I want? I had a natal chart reading not long ago. It showed my planets representing a duality of sometimes wanting to be small, other times wanting to be big. I am in a phase where I no longer want to be small, I want to step up and change in profound ways and be more bold, and big. How do I get clear on what that can look like for my life? :) (32:50) ✧ I'm seeing a manifesting partway, and I'm seeing one attribute I'm looking for, but then a million red flags. I keep hearing everywhere to be specific in what I want with a guy. So I ask for specific things like looks, truck, career, personality, attachment style, etc. and I keep running into guy after guy after guy and they have a few things that I want to manifest but their personality is red flag after red flag. It's like I'm not manifesting right. Like I'm missing SOMETHING. And I've been trying to listen to everyone and get my mind and soul open to the universe. Our guest today is Rodney Hughes who is an author, international speaker and a high performance sales trainer who focuses on delivering results through collaborative and creative problem solving. Lots of cool stuff, welcome to the show Rodney. Rodney Hughes: Hey, thank you. I'm so happy to be here. Robert Plank: Cool, and I'm happy that you are here. Could you tell me about what it is that you do, and what makes you different and special? Rodney Hughes: Yeah, yeah, absolutely. For the last decade, what I've been focused on is I create sales and marketing solutions for various different organizations. I've worked with the Federal Government, non-profit organizations. I've worked with many different private sector organizations and what I do is I pretty much go in, figure out where the gaps are in the business and create strategies to solve that. Whether it be online sales and marketing solutions or whether it's in-person sales and marketing solutions. Robert Plank: Could you give us an example of that? Rodney Hughes: Yeah, yeah. As an example, I'll give you my most recent one. There's a gentleman that I'm working with, that I just got finished working with actually, who owns a ... He has a barbecue company. He does barbecue sauces and things of that nature. One of the things we did for him is we created a lead generation website for him, so that he can start collecting the contact information of the people that are interested in what he's offering, as far as sauces and things of that nature. We're helping him and we helped create a strategy that we're trying to get him to have at least 5,000 new subscribers over the course of the next 2 years, so that he can have a basis for driving online sales. Robert Plank: Awesome so you're making the whole website for him, an opt-in for him, traffic and all that good stuff? Rodney Hughes: Yeah, all that type of stuff. Then also helping him come up with online and offline strategies to actually drive that forward. Robert Plank: Like what? Rodney Hughes: Say it again? Robert Plank: Like what? What strategies are you using to get those 5,000 subscribers coming in? Rodney Hughes: This particular gentleman, he goes to various flea markets and various different retail locations. While he's out, what I mentioned to him was that it's one thing to get that immediate dollar, right? Which you definitely always want to drive sales but the reality is that sometimes situations come up, either people didn't feel like buying right there in that moment or maybe they might want to buy a little bit later or whatever, and so what we did was we said, "Listen. When you have people and you're giving out samples, hey offer this irresistible offer right here that's going to intrigue them and make them want to actually jump on your list. Then, once a week, you want to actually give a recipe of the week or just ... " I tried to teach him how to also do a little bit of video blogging as well, so that he can have other ways of actually engaging with these people once they get on his list. He's building his list primarily through when he's giving samples to people, he has an irresistible offer that he shares with them.
