"In The Ghetto" Der sozialkritische Titel "In The Ghetto" geht unter die Haut. __________ Shownotes Offizieller Youtube-Kanal von Elvis Presley: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCW6G95TBLCh5SdC-DHDSf5w __________ Über diese Songs vom Album "From Elvis In Memphis" wird im Podcast gesprochen (06:31) – "Wearin' That Loved On Look"(09:23) – "Only The Strong Survive"(13:30) – "I'm Movin' On"(16:13) – "Gentle On My Mind"(20:21) – "After Loving You"(21:32) – "In The Ghetto"__________ Über diese Songs wird außerdem im Podcast gesprochen (10:34) – "Only The Strong Survive" von Jerry Butler(24:24) – "Suspicious Minds" von Elvis Presley__________ Ihr wollt mehr Podcasts wie diesen? Alee first popped onto the country music scene with singles like “Only The Strong Survive”, “Don't Say You Love Me”, and “Moonshine”. Earning multiple CCMA and CMAB nominations, along with multiple Top 20 singles are just some of the highlights of Alee's career. We sat down with Alee to recap some of her finest moments, including door-knocking on radio programmer's doors with her CDs (teaching us the fine line between persistence and harassment), working construction, and finally deciding to make the move to Nashville. She talked about songwriting on both instruments and finding her home at the piano.Alee's newest single “Love Songs” has an interesting story behind its inspiration. Today on Too Opinionated, we welcome Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, David Sancious! After several years of playing keyboards and guitar in Jazz , R&B , and Rock Bands on the Jersey shore area, David met Bruce Springsteen at the entrance to a club where Bruce was organizing a jam session. The result was an invitation to join a new band that Bruce was putting together. This eventually became "Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band", and after recording three albums and touring the country, with Bruce, he left to form the group "Tone" and recorded several albums. The first recordings ( "Forest of Feelings" ) in 1975, followed by ("Transformation: the Speed of Love"), ( "True Stories" ), ( "Just as I Thought" ), and ( " The Bridge " ) showed David's skills as a composer for the first time, and led to his being considered one of the most talented and sought after keyboard players in the music industry." I've always been inspired and motivated by the composing aspect of music, and I've always thought of myself as a composer who plays well , rather than a person who is just proficient on a given instrument. The recordings attracted the attention of artist the world over. Recent recordings include (" 9 Piano Improvisations"), ( " Cinema" ), and (" Live in The Now"). Peter Gabriel , Sting , Bruce Springsteen, , Eric Clapton , Jeff Beck, Seal and others, have used his talents as pianist, synthesist, guitarist, arranger, and producer on recording sessions and concert tours, playing an eclectic and diverse range of music. David just performed with Bruce Springsteen with songs from Bruce Springsteen's new studio album Only The Strong Survive, on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon for 4 performances.

By now, Stock Aitken Waterman had made a name for themselves as hitmakers — and that was begining to rub some people the wrong way. In response to the haters and the perception that they could only do disposable pop, the trio concoted a plan to prove they could make any kind of music they put their minds to. And so "Roadblock" was created, a rare groove track that was originally released without any clue SAW were behind it. Hear the full story behind what would eventually become Stock Aitken Waterman's first single under their own names. Meanwhile, the Hit Factory encountered a bit of a dry spell, with singles by Precious Wilson ("Only The Strong Survive"), Dolly Dots ("What A Night") and Laura Branigan ("Shattered Glass") all flopping. We talk to Precious and Angela Groothuizen from the Dutch girl group about the paths that brought each act to SAW. Plus, Mike Stock and, in archival audio, Laura herself talk about the two tracks they worked on together. It's a super-sized episode with some great pop music stories.

It has been Satan's tactic, his plot and his plan from the very beginning to keep mutual hatred between races of people throughout the generations, in order to destroy unity and disrupt harmony between races. What the enemy didn't bargain for was the fact that God favors those who are hated and God gives all those who have accepted Him as their Savior, an innate ability and built in mechanism to survive any storm caused by the enemy or any storm caused naturally for that matter. As you listen to today's show, you will find out that it doesn't matter who hates on you, because regardless of the storms you may have to go through or face in your life, when you are in Christ, you will discover that you can make it and overcome any obstacle in your life, because, "Only The Strong Survive." I pray that you will be Blessed as you listen to today's show. ~Dr. Lynn --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/drlynn-goebel/support
