In light of this dissatisfaction, what can be said about management? The post-pandemic workforce has a new view on what gives their lives meaning and the benefits of hybrid work, making it more challenging than ever for managers to keep their teams engaged and productive. She's the founder and CEO of Meeteor, a coaching and training company that focuses on creating healthy, high-performing teams with a special emphasis on productive meetings, as well as the author of “Momentum: Creating Effective, Engaging and Enjoyable Meetings.” Mamie also hosts the Modern Manager Podcast, where she delivers practical advice to help people tap into their managerial greatness. In this episode, Mamie shares how managers, despite being the unsung heroes of the workplace, fail to receive the support and skill development they need from their leadership so they can excel at their jobs. Mamie points out the essential skills managers need to thrive in today's ever-popular hybrid work environments — from effective feedback and authentic appreciation for creating high-performance teams to leveraging AI tools for productivity and collaboration. We also talk about meetings, why employees hate them, and how management can use them for relationship-building rather than wasting people's time. HIs parents were good parents who taught their children to help others, be active in the community, volunteer for others, etc. "They had very high expectations for the person they wanted me to become in life".John had a tragic accident when he was a young boy. It was his mother's reassuring attitude and encouragement that helped John heal and gain back his sense of self confidence. On episode 325 of the BlockHash Podcast, CEO Patrick Hynds and CTO Duane Laflotte talk about their cybersecurity company and the importance of cybersecurity and blockchain in the modern world today. In 2023, cybersecurity remains a critical concern for individuals and organizations alike, as the increasing reliance on technology has made them more vulnerable to cyber attacks. Cybersecurity involves protecting computer systems, networks, and sensitive information from unauthorized access, theft, or damage. Cyber attacks are becoming more sophisticated, making it crucial for individuals and organizations to adopt comprehensive cybersecurity measures to mitigate the risks associated with them. Blockchain technology has emerged as a secure technology for data management, with its decentralized structure making it almost impossible to hack or manipulate. Unlike traditional centralized systems, blockchain records transactions in a distributed ledger, where each participant has access to the same copy of the ledger. Any changes made to the ledger require consensus from all participants, making it virtually impossible to tamper with the data. Additionally, blockchain also offers transparency, as each transaction is recorded and available for all participants to see. Blockchain technology's security and transparency have led to its adoption in various industries, including finance, healthcare, and supply chain management, among others. Blockchain technology is becoming increasingly important in the field of cybersecurity, as it offers a secure and transparent way to store and manage sensitive information. Patrick, Duane and Brandon touch on this in the episode.
