Listen to 113 The Future Now Show Summer is here and time to have some ‘experiences!’  We just got back from Las Vegas, where we experienced  “The Sphere,” a multi-billion dolar media experience, costing us hundreds of dollars each, with a show by the Dead & Company, the latest incarnation of the Grateful Dead musical group.  We have much to say about it!  And from a trip to Point Lobos this weekend, our science correspondent, Bobby Wilder, felt compelled to share two Near Death Experiences he has had, and stangely related to this month’s ‘solar maximum’ of our dear star, the Sun.  Weird things are happening and time to pay attention…not the least of which is the rocketing value of Bitcoin recently. We dig deeper into why and what to expect next in this time of chaos and change.  Enjoy! CERN Just Turned Lead Into Gold

Listen to 112 Future Now Show We celebrated the life of a great visionary scientist this week, at the memorial of Dr. Ralph Abraham, father of Chaos Theory and pioneer of visual mathematics.  It was fun to meet those who loved him and those whom he influenced in their trajectory through life. The SPHEREx Space Observatory was activated this month, and is now created the best ever 3D maps of the universe, including millions of galaxies.  Hal Puthoff’s personal belief on who ET’s are and what they are doing here was revealed in Joe Rogan’s podcast with him this week.  We take a look at what he’s suggesting.  If you’ve ever wondered about the life of rattlesnakes, there is now a live rattlesnake channel on Youtube that tunes you into their world, which is quite fascinating.  I particularly enjoyed the clip of a cute  bunny through their reptilian world.  Nature has revealed how she has empowered a form of bacterial life to generate electricity instead of using oxygen for ife energy generation, a fascinating twist. After much controversy, there is new evidence there may be a Planet 9 after all, but very far out in the solar system.   And keep an eye open for a 50 year old Russian Venusian Space probe that is about to crash land back on Earth! If you are in Los Gatos this week, you may want to try the world’s first hamburgers made by robots! Enjoy.. Electricity generating bacteria

There seems to have been a silver lining to this massive outage, hiding in plain sight. Can you guess?  A clue would be…candles..another would be …neigbors..Got it?  Meanwhile we work with Grok3’s Ara as a detective sleuth, investigating the who, what, and why’s of this strange case of power gone awry..Historical parallels to past European blackouts are drawn, highlighting the vulnerability of interconnected power systems. While the official cause remains uncertain, geopolitical motives, particularly from Russia, are discussed as a potential, though unproven, driver for such an intentional act to test NATO resilience. Also this week, aging in space and what it means for us, galaxies aimed mysteriously at us around Andromeda, Synthetic leaves for fuel and plastic generation, and other topics such as economic realignments, religious influences on global politics, the potential for advanced technology like space elevators and bioreactors, and the development of micro-robots for brain surgery, along with more abstract concepts like the nature of consciousness and the unity of humanity. Listen Now to 100 Future Now Show on Microdosing This week we start by catching up Bobby and his Costa Rican adventures, then some Future News.  Most of the show, however, is dedicated to our inteview with Jordan Gruber, who just finished co-authoring  the book, “Microdosing for Health, Healing & Enhanced Performance” with James Fadiman, Ph.D. We delve as deeply into the topic as you can get in an 80 minute interview. First we look at the beginnings of microdosing psychedelics and its evolution to current protocols. The potential benefits of microdosing psychedelics seem quite extensive, from studies in depression to enhancing our abilities to learn new skills, like musical instruments or languages.  We explore a little of the ‘why’, such as increased neuroplasticity of the brain, and what substances work with microdosing (LSD, Schrooms) and which ones don’t (i.e. Ketamine, MDMA).  Citizen science plays a big role in the unfolding of this topic, as serious research takes time and money, and neither are readily availabe, for various reasons (which we discuss). For fun we ran the book through a local AI and had it answer a couple of our questions. This book is partly the culmination of Dr. James Fadiman’s life work in the field of psychedelics, and includes many reports and correspondences that he has received over the 60 plus years he has dedicated to the topic. There is much to consider here, and we hope we have given you enough to pursue this further, should you have the interest. Thanks, and enjoy!

The show also delves into the debate around the impact of AI on human jobs and consciousness, with Al  as an agent to enhance human capabilities, while we express concerns about AI’s potential to mimic human creativity and personality. Later at Scripps Institution of Oceanography and a post doc in Germany at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry he became one of the world’s experts in how biology was able to adapt to the most extreme conditions on Earth imaginable. He was brought back home to NASA Ames, where he, as an astrobiologist delved deeply into how such life might exist elsewhere in the solar system. NASA did an extensive interview of his career, posted here. Dr. Jonathan Trent Now, semi-retired in the Santa Cruz area, he brings home his knowledge of extreme forms of life in creating solutions to some of our biggest issues of today, namely the escalating food, water, and energy crisis. His latest project is called “UpCycle Systems,” and its goal is to create a cohesive green life support system for our growing need of Data Centers, places that are needed for  cloud computing, AI, Crypto, memory storage, etc.  In Dr. Trent’s vision, data centers will not simply use massive amounts of water and power, they will generate such resources by turning our organic waste  into clean power and water, with excess energy to share. This works through the combination of several innovative technologies, including bioreactors and fuel cells. I think you’ll enjoy hearing Dr. Trent’s story, we sure did! Enjoy.. Listen to 70 Future Now Transcript of 70 Future Now It’s Summertime and living is fun, unless you are on a deep space mission.  Turns out our kidneys are particularly sensitive to radiation in space, failing after only two years..oh no, what now? Any solutions? We think so! Harvard Cryptoterrestrial GradAnd finally, top academics are suggesting to their brethren that now is the time to consider more expanded concepts of the alien presence.  Ideas like advanced reptilians living underground, staying invisible to the likes of us, transdimensional beings moving through space and time in unusual ways,  ships that enter the earth through volcanoes, the ‘other’ intermingling and living with us for generations, doing who knows what to our minds. Science Fiction or Fact? At least such ideas are now being considered more seriously, or at least sincerely.  Time sensitive this week is a sacred whale cruise in the Monterey Bay, hosted by Michele Newman, a psychic, healer, shamanness, and player of the crystal bowls.  Mrs. Future (Sun) beautifully interviews Michele about this upcoming cruise (Saturday June 22), and if you feel it’s time to connect with Whales in this way, here’s an “Opportunity Knocks” card! :-) Our big AI story this week is about applying the rigorous scientific methods used by SETI (Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence (to investatigating and evaluating) the growing intelligence of the AIs. Not a perfect match, but lots of cross pollenation here! And we end with callers, including “Master Now” who answers the question of the hour, “Which came first in the timeline, Love or Fun?”   Enjoy!!
