What do actress Sarah Ramos (Parenthood, The Affair) and writer/comedian Caroline Goldfarb (The Late Late Show with James Corden, Alone Together) have in common? They’re hysterical, devoted pop culture enthusiasts, best friends, and recently launched a podcast series called THE RENNER FILES. THE RENNER FILES, created, hosted and produced by the duo, is a new kind of true crime podcast - one that’s not a true crime at all. Instead, it’s about Jeremy Renner’s app. Why did Oscar nominated actor Jeremy Renner ever have an app? Why did he do it? Who made it? Who used it? And why did it shake the internet to its core? They set out to investigate the mystery of the app, but got so much more in return. THE RENNER FILES lays out a thrilling timeline of the app’s rise and fall through talking head interviews with key players, journalists, and unexpected Renner experts (like actor Seth Rogen). But it also tells a larger story: one about the dangerous side of celebrity fandom, the ethics of audience exploitation, the celebrity influencer complex, and the destructive power of ironic internet comedy. In this episode, we talked about their fan-filled childhoods, from Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen cruises to NSYNC concerts, to navigating the entertainment industry, and a behind the scenes look at what went into creating one of the mosts provocative podcasts out there right now. Starting September 24th, an episode of THE RENNER FILES will be released weekly on Thursdays for six weeks. Check it out here: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-renner-files/id1530942600 Produced by Dear Media

Starting September 17, we embarked upon awakening Codes of Cosmic Light in select locations throughout the United States. This was undertaken by enacting ceremony and prayer throughout the land. Why September 17, 2020? Why did we pick this date to begin this journey of 7 stops along the way? How did we interact with these sites to accomplish our Call to Action? What is the planetary grid network? Is it a living consciousness matrix that can be encoded with instructions for our spiritual evolution? Did the Ancient Ones know about this grid? Did the Knights Templar retrieve this information and utilize it for their purposes? What was the plan of the legendary Inner Circle? Why did the Freemasons later use these “As Above, So Below” principles to support our new nation? And why is this relevant at this time of incredible change in our country? What is this American Evolution?

This week Carrie and Sky are joined by Kim McCarthy who is running for Ohio State Representative for District 73.About our Guest:It was after the 2016 election, when Kim saw the local county electoral ballot devoid of any meaningful choices, what with many of the elected seats going uncontested, that she began to focus more attention to things closer to home. Kim started attending the county commission meetings, and by using her accounting background to examine the state budget, began to understand the full scope of influence the state has over the actual material conditions experienced at the county and city levels. She also discovered that the current State Representative was not meaningfully advocating for the needs of the county he was supposedly representing in the Statehouse, and that many of the local officials were feeling very frustrated over that. She decided that Greene County deserved better, and vowed then to fight for better representation for the people who lived there.Kim is an accountant, and has been a long time business owner and entrepreneur. She is the proud mother of three children, and lives with them and their dog Boomer and cat Flipper, along with a hen house full of chickens and ducks, on Boomerang Farm in Sugarcreek Twp. Kim immigrated to Ohio from Brisbane, Australia back in 1994 and believes that Americans deserve the same basic quality of human rights and dignity that she grew up with there decades ago. She believes in a society that is based on justice, respect and empathy for one another, and for the environment in which we live and depend upon.Find out more about Kim McCarthy at www.kimmccarthyoh.comWant more? How do the lottery results change the landscape of the league? And we start talking about who these teams should take. The first two and last two games of the day had similar themes to one another. In MIA/IND (15') and HOU/OKC, the Game 1 losers couldn’t adjust to switching defenses. In LAL/POR (40') and MIL/ORL, the favorites got right by just executing better rather than major adjustments. This week Carrie and Sky are joined by Nancy Larson who is running for Ohio State Representative for District 47.About our Guest:Nancy Larson is running for Ohio State Representative District 47. After spending the last 40 years as a licensed social worker, she retired to pursue her next passion. That mission is to represent her community in Ohio's 47th House District. She has been a lifelong fighter for the dignity and rights of her clients and the community at large. Working with organizations such as the Single Payer Action Network (SPAN), the League of Women Voters (LWV), Advocates for a Clean Lake Erie (ACLE), and the Community Solidarity Response Network (CSRN), she has learned some of what needs to be done in Columbus to improve life for those in her District.Nancy has worked consistently since she was 17 years old in a variety of jobs and understands the struggles inherent in working for a living and supporting a family. She believes in worker’s rights and in an economic structure that does not allow companies to chew people up and spit them out for excessive profits. She took part in a vote to unionize while working at a CMHC (Community Mental Health Center) and saw firsthand the benefits that come to workers who are unionized. It was a pivotal point in her understanding, and she has been committed to the right to collective bargaining and equal pay for all ever since.Find out more about Nancy Larson at www.Nancyfor.usWant more? Kia ora and welcome to Friday's Economy Watch where we follow the economic events and trends that affect New Zealand. I'm Rebecca Caroe and this is the International edition from Interest.co.nz. This podcast is supported by Hatch. With Hatch, Kiwis are accessing the most exciting initial public offerings. After years of sporadic IPOs, 2019 is set to be a banner year for well-known billion-dollar companies hitting the US share markets. The first half of 2019 saw record issuances that haven't been seen in years and welcomed well-known companies like Uber, Slack, Zoom, Pinterest and Beyond Meat. The benefit of going public is that everyday investors can share in the success of these well-known companies. Over 200 private companies worth over $1 billion are in the backlog, record highs that the market has never seen in history. With the impending Airbnb and WeWork IPOs, proceeds could make 2019 a record year for IPOs. To easily and affordably access newly listed companies on the US sharemarkets, visit hatchinvest.nz to learn more. Today this podcast leads with news we are getting an object lesson of the folly of tariffs. The trade war situation is going from bad to worse. The US President has announced new tariffs on another 300 billion dollars of imports from China. Starting September 1, these extra goods will be hit with a 10% levy. This comes after China placed orders for US soybeans and in the middle of negotiations between officials. But this latest tariff action undermines future orders for US agricultural products and rural prices crashed after the news. Wall Street also went into reverse on the news; equities are down one percent after being up that much before the announcement. Currency markets have been buffeted (with the Aussie dollar one of the most affected), and bond yields have dived. Meanwhile in the US economy itself, the closely watched ISM PMI came in lower for July and now barely expanding, when a rise was expected. Another similar survey points out this is the lowest level since 2009. And US construction activity shrank in the year to June as well as falling from May. China's private sector factory Caixin PMI for July has come in slightly better than expected, mirroring the official China factory PMI released a few days ago. It is now at 49.9, essentially neither expanding nor contracting. There are rays of light however; new orders and production output are expanding again. Japan vehicle sales were up almost seven percent in July from the same month a year ago. But that is just a rush to beat a sales tax hike. Overall, Japanese factories are contracting however. And the eurozone manufacturing sector is now contracting at its fastest pace since 2012. Did you know that we have a live page for alternative assets? This is a marketplace where you can buy or sell shares in off-market investments like private companies, syndications, limited partnerships, and equity funds. You can find them at interest.co.nz/saving/market-platform The Bank of England has cut its forecasts for UK growth over the next two years to just one point three percent and warned that a no-deal Brexit will hit their economy further and trigger a further drop in the value of their currency. The downturn in the global manufacturing sector has extended into its third consecutive month in July. Production and new order intakes declined further, as conditions in many domestic markets remained soft and international trade volumes continued to contract. These negative trends filtered through to the labour market, resulting in another round of job losses. The UST 10yr yield has slumped twelve basis points so far to be just on 1.89%. Gold is up sharply making back yesterday’s drop and more, up to 1,442 US dollars an ounce which is a 25 dollar surge overnight. US oil prices fell hard on the tariff news on fears that demand will collapse. They are down more than four dollars to now just on 54 US dollars a barrel. The Brent benchmark is just on $61. The Kiwi dollar starts today unchanged against the greenback at 65.6 US cents. On the cross rates however we are firmer at 96.3 Australian cents. Against the euro we are unchanged at 59.2 euro cents. That leaves the Trade Weighted Index at 71.1. You can find links to the articles mentioned today on our website. “Operation Snatch” takes Doukhobor children from their families. In 1899, Russia decided to rid itself of the Doukhobors, a pacifist religious sect that refused to serve in the Russian Army. Many Doukhobors fled to Canada, where they set up a communal life in rural areas. Even there, however, their non-conformist ways and their refusal to abide by any laws except what thy defined as God’s laws, worried the Canadian government and police. Half a century later, B.C.’s new Social Credit government and Premier W.A.C. Bennett initiated “Operation Snatch” to punish Doukhobors for refusing to send their children to public schools. Starting September 9, 1953, RCMP officers went into Doukhobor communities and took hundreds of children away from their families. For almost six years, until 1959, these children were kept in former Japanese internment camps, taught “normal” Christian ways and beaten if they spoke Russian – or if they cried from loneliness. Once the children returned to their families, the government reasoned, they would moderate their parents’ lifestyle. Of course, it didn’t work. A 1999 B.C. Ombudsman’s report urged the government to start the process of reconciliation for the children who were by then in their 50s and 60s. While the government of British Columbia issued a statement of “regret” in the legislature in October 2004, it has not apologized. Some of the adult children who were apprehended years earlier have been looking for legal compensation for their wrong, but thus far have been unsuccessful. Their children have attended public schools for years and they have established heritage-language courses within the public system. Today there are between 30,000 and 40,000 Doukhobors in Canada. He is not only a tattoo artist, but a painter, photographer, musician, spoken-word performer, stand-up comic and storyteller. José García has a beautiful voice. I can always tell when he’s singing even if I’m not watching. I particularly admire that he’s been part of Camp Winnarainbow for the past 23 years. We met many years ago through our shared tribe of Pregones Theater and worked together on Promise of a Love Song, an original dramatic-musical created by Roadside Theater, Junebug Theater and Pregones Theater. His present passion is a music project in homage to Pedro Dávila Ortíz, a k a Davilita, one of the greatest voices to come out of Puerto Rico, and is a symbol of the Puerto Rican diaspora. José has known and studied Davilita’s life and works for years and with his band, The Rubi Band, Davilita’s work is refreshed and played on and with, the sounds of the times. Starting September 23 The Rubi Band will play at Don Pedro in Williamsburg, for 8-weeks on Fridays from 7pm -9pm.
Bream Gives Me Hiccups (Grove/Atlantic)Jesse Eisenberg is known for acclaimed acting roles in The Social Network, The Squid and the Whale, and other films, but his writing talents are no less impressive. His short stories have appeared in McSweeney’s and in the New Yorker and he is the author of three plays, including The Revisionist, which starred Eisenberg and Vanessa Redgrave. Now in his whip-smart fiction debut Bream Gives Me Hiccups Eisenberg delivers a collection of forty-four hilarious, moving, and inventive stories that explore the various insanities of the modern world. Thank you for your cooperation! Bream Gives Me Hiccups gets its unusual title from the set of stories that begin the book, restaurant reviews written by a nine-year-old child who is taken out for expensive meals by his newly divorced mother. The stories then move from contemporary L.A. to the dorm rooms of an American college to ancient Pompeii, throwing the reader into a universe of social misfits, reimagined scenes from history, and ridiculous overreactions. In one piece, a tense email exchange between a young man and his girlfriend is taken over by the man’s sister, who is obsessed with the Bosnian genocide (The situation reminds me of a little historical blip called the Karađorđevo agreement); in another, a college freshman forced to live with a roommate is stunned when one of her ramen packets goes missing (She didn’t have “one” of my ramens. She had a chicken ramen); in another piece, Alexander Graham Bell has teething problems with his invention (I’ve been calling Mabel all day, she doesn’t pick up! Yes, of course I dialed the right number – 2!). United by Eisenberg’s gift for humor and character, and grouped into chapters that open with illustrations by award-winning cartoonist Jean Jullien, the witty pieces collected in Bream Gives Me Hiccups mark the arrival of a fantastically funny, self-ironic, and original voice.Praise for Bream Gives Me Hiccups“Brilliantly witty, deeply intelligent, and just plain hilarious. If David Sedaris wrote about Carmelo Anthony, Bosnian genocide, and ramen-stealing college freshmen, it would probably come out something like Jesse Eisenberg’s Bream Gives Me Hiccups. A moving portrait of human beings at their weaker moments, and a wonderful send-up of the insanities of modern America.” —Sherman Alexie“Eisenberg has a terrific ear, especially for adolescent inflections, absurdity, self-delusion, and insecurity. He also has a flair for off-the-wall ideas . . . With its panoply of neurotics and narcissists and its smart mix of stinging satire and surprising moments of sweetness, Bream Gives Me Hiccups brings to mind fellow comic actor/writers Woody Allen, Steve Martin and B.J. Novak. It also offers a youthful new twist on what one of Eisenberg’s hopeless dreamers refers to—ironically, of course—as the cruel ‘irony of life.’”—NPR Books“Compelling . . . A fascinating look into the minds of misfits . . . Whether it’s Alexander Graham Bell bumbling through his first phone calls or Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks pacifying a fan, Eisenberg’s ability to create interesting and entertaining dialogue as if the exchange actually occurred is impressive . . . Eisenberg’s wit jumps off the page . . . Bream Gives Me Hiccups is a delightful collection of awkward scenarios twisted into humorous, witty and sometimes poignant life lessons. It’s simultaneously smart, clever and creative.”—Associated Press“Eisenberg’s strength is in dialogue and monologue, and in writing miserable characters who alternately compel (like a 9-year-old from a broken home who writes restaurant reviews) and repel (like Harper, the footnote-obsessed freshman Eisenberg lovingly describes as ‘maladjusted’) . . . Eisenberg is uncannily good at capturing a specific breed of insincere teen girl.”—Entertainment Weekly“Jesse Eisenberg is a deeply original comic voice. These stories are about the funniness, sadness, and strangeness of everyday life and they really made me laugh.”—Roz ChastA great book . . . The first part of the book [is] a series of restaurant reviews Eisenberg writes in the voice of a privileged nine-year old. The reviews are hilarious but gradually reveal a moving portrait of a lonely boy’s bond with his single mom. All the stories seem to work on multiple levels like that.”—Arun Rath, “All Things Considered,” NPR“[Eisenberg’s] jittery on-screen energy seeps onto the pages of this book.”—Wall Street Journal (15 Books to Read This Fall)“Eisenberg’s 28 stories in Bream Gives Me Hiccups range from the diary of a nine-year-old food critic to letters about stolen ramen . . . Eisenberg’s characters are lively, and his awareness of universal neuroses (yours and his alike) shows he’s more than a hobbyist.”—Time “He’s a walking ball of neuroses, a fledgling playwright, and now a short-story writer, telling tales covering subjects as varied as Pompeii and ramen.”—New York Magazine “Charming, deftly written, and laugh-out-loud funny.” —Publishers Weekly“I’ve been a fan of Jesse Eisenberg’s plays for years and his prose is just as winning. Bream Gives Me Hiccups is hilarious, poignant and at times so self-deprecating it makes me want to give Jesse a hug. He’s taken decades of neurosis and spun it into comedy gold.”—Simon Rich“Eisenberg proves to be a compassionate chronicler of absurdity in the realms of family life, romance, and history.”—Booklist“Bream Gives Me Hiccups isn’t merely comic writing of the first order; it’s an often tender, highbrow-lowbrow mash-up that encompasses everything from Chomsky and Žižek to disastrous pickup lines and pubescent neuroses. Jesse Eisenberg writes with formidable intellect and verbal dexterity, but he also has something many deadeye satirists lack: empathy with his targets. To borrow his most unforgettable character’s line, you’ll want to give his debut collection 2000 out of 2000 stars.”—Teddy Wayne, author of The Love Song of Jonny ValentineJesse Eisenberg is an Academy Award–nominated actor, playwright, and contributor for the New Yorker andMcSweeney's. He is the author of three plays, Asuncion, The Revisionist, and The Spoils, which won the Theater Visions Fund Award. Eisenberg's acting credits include The Social Network, Now You See Me, Adventureland, The Squid and the Whale, The Double, and The End of the Tour. Forthcoming acting credits include Batman v. Superman.

This show opened the portal for a 3 week journey into the wildly feminine, completely unpredictable, and intensely vulnerable and edgy Experience of Woman, Come Undone.Yesterday, I took my own seat in the hot and holy fires of Coming Undone. I am leading this journey of a thousand freedoms by being the first one to invite you to witness my very vulnerable, public healing session - here, in this episode of Wild Soul Medicine Radio. My Soul Sister, Master Energy Healer and Somatic Psychotherapist, Sweigh Spilkin guided me through a healing session around a stuck place I have been in about Opening to the Divine through my physical body. Wrestling with rashes, allergies, coughing and a host of other physical discomforts that have me fighting my surrender into my humanness. In my typical efforts to control what might feel scary, my intention was "to make peace and partnership within my physical body SO THAT I can experience integration and my body can support and expand to allow all of this purpose and energy I am holding to move through." Of course, Sweigh called bullshit on the conditions I surrounded my intention with... and instead guided me into a tender space of surrendering fully to whatever needed to happen. It was tender, emotional, Soul-deep, terrifying, and powerfully healing.I am only the first. Starting September 10, 2014, Thirteen Soulful, Essence-driven, Female Leaders of the New Paradigm are showing up to ACTUALLY embody the New Paradigm and demonstrate the true nature of evolution - just as I did.Through individual, intensely personal and vulnerable public energy healing sessions with me, we’ll model the way we lean into our stuck places and continuously excavate our Essence. We won’t be sharing a place we WERE stuck (and how we got through it). We’ll be sharing a place where we ARE stuck and allowing ourselves to be witnessed as we navigate through it in real time.Join us. www.womancomeundone.comI’ll save a seat for you.If you'd like more information on Sweigh Spilkin, you can find her here: www.thresholdshealing.com

Otsuka Pharmaceutical then Chairman Masahito Otsuka had a precise vision for this museum to be built in Tokushima, where the Otsuka Group was founded. Rendered with Otsuka’s original technology developed by Otsuka Ohmi Ceramics Co., Ltd., more than 1,000 pieces of art are now reproduced in original size, and their colors, which will virtually never fade, faithfully convey the artistic essence of the original works. One of the most popular exhibits at the Otsuka Museum of Art is the Sistine Hall, which holds a full-scale reproduction of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Five years ago, the Otsuka Museum of Art resolved to reproduce this curved ceiling for the 10th anniversary of the museum’s opening. A method was developed in which curved ceramic panels are produced using firing platforms that are made based on wooden molds. It is exceedingly difficult to produce curved ceramic boards without breaking them, the same principle as that used to produce curved glass was employed, and was finally achieved following much trial and error. 2013 marks the 500th anniversary of the completion of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel at the Vatican. Starting September, the Otsuka Museum of Art will be hosting “Divine Michelangelo” festivities. The museum displays a collection of ceramic-board reproductions of art masterpieces from around the world, with the ability to keep colors and shapes unchanged for more than 2,000 years which would help record and preserve cultural assets. It also has the largest exhibition space in Japan, with a total floor space of 29,412 square meters (316,588 square feet). Other Museum Achievements In March 2007, Pope Benedict XVI bestowed the Pontifical Order of Pope St. Sylvester on Akihiko Otsuka, then director general of the Otsuka Museum of Art, for his contribution to introducing and furthering Christian art in Japan. The Director of the Vatican Museums said: “The people of Japan can experience the beauty and learn the history of Christian art at the Otsuka Museum of Art. The Sistine Chapel of the Vatican and the Sistine Hall here in Naruto City are not in opposition, but rather complement each other.” The Otsuka Museum of Art aims to inspire people through art, and serve as a bridge connecting the world’s cultures. The Otsuka Museum of Art exhibits full-scale reproductions of more than 1000 major works of Western art from 25 countries. Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper, Gogh’s Sunflowers, and Picasso’s Guernica, among many others, are displayed in one place so that visitors may view them at one time. The Otsuka Museum of Art makes it possible for people in Japan to learn about the history of Western art by allowing them to experience the majesty of the works in their original sizes. In 2011 and 2012, The Otsuka Museum of Art ranked the top among Trip Advisor’s rankings for “the best museum to have visited” category. Last month, the Otsuka Museum of Art welcomed its 3 millionth guest, and the museum strives to be a place that allows people to connect to art by creating a new world of artistic culture based on the spirit of “creation,” one of the founding principles of the Otsuka Group.
***Original Release date - August 16, 2013*** Evan Geeseman is a Giant. Not only in height but in talent. There's no way for us to describe it. He just so damn good at what he does when it comes to music. At the time we recorded this episode he had released a very critically received EP. I didn't know who he was until Omar mentioned that he spoke with Evan about being on an episode. This was very early in 2013, but with time I managed to find a date for him to come on into our hot garage and lay down some tracks. If you watched the episode on YouTube you might have noticed that there were a shit ton of microphones all around Evan. At the time I thought it would be funny to set up all the mic's we had and make them look like they were working to some degree. If you guessed they were all on, guess again. They weren't. Why the hell would I need that many microphones. We only had four on and even then when I finished mixing recently I only used three of em. Really only one was picking up most of the sound. And because Evan is so damn good, it was mostly all we needed. Anywho, Here is the Throwback of the week. Almost exactly 3 years from its first release. Please enjoy and PRETTY PLEASE tell your friends about our podcasts and YouTube Channels. We would be very grateful for your support. More old shows to come and plenty of new ones are in the horizon. Starting September 2016 we will continue this whole thing once again. www.kilsonstreet.com
