Preview season rolls on as we dive into the SEC, figure out the contenders and pretenders, making some irresponsible predictions, and chew on the conference's biggest storylines going into the 2025 college football season. In this SEC preview episode, we discuss the impact Arch Manning could have on the Texas Longhorns, provided the offensive line can get sorted in time. Plus, a conversation around whether this year's Alabama squad will feel more "DeBoerian" than in 2024, and how Georgia stacks up with Gunner Stockton at the helm. We also debate the meaty middle of the conference and wonder if Brian Kelly can turn talent into big wins, if Mike Elko can bully the conference with his rushing attack, if DJ Lagway can handle a murderer's row of a schedule, and if Missouri is the ultimate wildcard. And of course, a conversation about a new-look Ole Miss, the fearsome trio of LaNorris Sellers, Dylan Stewart and Nyck Harbor at South Carolina, Oklahoma's new quarterback / coordinator tandem, Tennessee's transfer trade, Auburn's portal fever, and much more. And finally, we take the temperature of Arkansas, Vandy, Kentucky and Mississippi State. Consider this your starter pack for the 2025 SEC football season. Recorded in front of a sold out live audience at @WhitechapelGallery we speak with @DominicJohnson and Jamal Butt to explore the current HAMAD BUTT exhibition: his life, art and legacy. ❤️ Thank you to @WePresent for organising this exciting event!Apprehensions is the first major survey of #HamadButt (b. 1962, Lahore, Pakistan; d. 1994, London, UK). One of the most innovative artists of his generation, Hamad Butt was a pioneer of intermedia art, bringing art into conversation with science, whilst also referencing his Queer and diasporic experiences. He offered a nuanced artistic response to the AIDS crisis in the UK, taking a conceptual rather than activist approach.Butt's conceptually and technically ambitious works seamlessly interweave popular culture, science, alchemy, science fiction, and social and cultural concerns, as forms that are simultaneously poetic and provocative. They imagine sex and desire in a time of ‘plague' as seductive yet frightening, intimate yet isolating, compelling yet dangerous – literally, in some cases, threatening to kill or injure.Born in Lahore, Pakistan, and raised in East London, Butt was British South Asian, Muslim by upbringing, and Queer. A contemporary of the Young British Artists, and their peer at Goldsmiths' College, London, Butt was described by art critics as epitomising the new ‘hazardism' in art of the 1990s, as his works often imply physical risk or endangerment.Follow: @WhitechapelGallery and @WePresent and check out WePresent today to see a series of never-before-seen artworks by Hamad, generously shared by Jamal. This episode is brought to you by our friends at WePresent, the Academy Award winningarts platform of WeTransfer. Then we're diving straight into NFL money drama: which team is playing with fire by not paying up — the Cowboys with Micah Parsons, the Bengals with Trey Hendrickson, or the Commanders with Terry McLaurin? Next, Cam Newton's top 10 QBs list is here… and let's just say, it's Cam. Did he get it right, or is this another hot take that needs to be torched? Finally, LeBron James and the Lakers — more rumors, more tension. He's locked in for $52M but does it even matter if he's already got one foot out the door? Should Bron bolt if the Lakers flop, and if so… where should he take his talents next? Drop your takes in the comments. Do you buy Deion sticking around? Which team's front office is tripping? Who's missing from Cam's list? And what's next for LeBron?

Episode Snapshot College costs are soaring, ideological climates are shifting, and more students than ever are graduating late—or not at all—with mountains of debt. In this candid info-session, Lisa Nehring (director of True North Academy) unpacks the “college dilemma” and lays out two practical alternatives: Dual Degree High School – earn an accredited bachelor's while you finish high school. Tech & Trades Diploma – a two-year fast-track that marries solid academics with apprenticeship-ready skills. Along the way she tackles FAFSA headaches, the national trades shortage, protecting your teen's faith on campus, and how True North's advising team walks families through every step. Key Takeaways Sticker Shock: College tuition up 20 % in 10 years; textbooks up 400 %. Average in-state cost now ~$28K/yr; many privates top $65K. Debt Trap: U.S. student-loan debt = $1.1 trillion; deregulated lenders can capitalize unpaid interest during forbearance, ballooning balances. Completion Crisis: Average time to a bachelor's is 6 years; >50 % of freshmen never finish. Ideological Pressure: 70 % of incoming evangelical students renounce faith by Thanksgiving of freshman year; many never return. Trades Opportunity: 7 million skilled-trade openings now; projected shortfall of 2 million more by 2030. Starting wages often $18–$30/hr with zero college debt. True North Solutions: Dual Degree: 120 credits + high-school diploma, fully Cognia-accredited, ESA/and may be 529-eligible, no debt. Tech & Trades: 22 HS credits in two years, core academics + life & soft-skills, direct links to vetted apprenticeships (HVAC, electrical, auto, welding & more). Mix-and-Match: Students can start with trades and layer on the dual degree—or vice versa—based on goals. Support Built In: Dedicated advisors, robust LMS “virtual campus,” study-guide-plus-exam model (re-takeable), and a Christ-centered worldview throughout. In the 2000s, there was one form of political iconoclasm that was guaranteed to never get you in any trouble, and it was called libertarianism. At the behest of our Superdelegate patron tier, we return to... (deep, heavy sigh)... PENN & TELLER: BULLSHIT!, with special attention to the episodes "College" and "Safety Hysteria," and remember a popular form of "skepticism" that sounds an awful lot like just being a Republican.
