If you follow me on social media or regularly listen to this podcast, you might know that I have taken on the role of a volunteer perimenopause missionary. This stage of life has had a significant impact on me, as well as my sisters and friends—just as it does for all women at a certain point. In this episode, I investigate how the lack of information and support for women going through perimenopause ties back to one important factor: how religious teachings about Eve have influenced the way society views and treats women. Here's what we cover:A poem by Danielle Coffyn that highlights the way men and women are viewed differently based on how Eve is depicted as morally and intellectually inferiorHow the story of Eve is directly linked to so many hardships women face–from victim blaming to not receiving adequate medical careExamples of good girl programming that often stops women from demanding more for themselvesWhy it is important to listen to the message that feminine rage sends usWhat you can do to advocate for yourself and receive the care and support you need during perimenopause I can't wait for you to listen.Find Sara here:https://sarafisk.coachhttps://pages.sarafisk.coach/difficultconversationshttps://www.instagram.com/sarafiskcoach/https://www.facebook.com/SaraFiskCoaching/https://www.tiktok.com/@sarafiskcoachhttps://www.youtube.com/@sarafiskcoaching1333What happens inside the free Stop People Pleasing Facebook Community? Enneagram Type 1s are the integrity champions of the Enneagram. They have high standards and make us all strive to be better. But that rigidity can be a bit off-putting for some of the other Enneagram types. So, when they can lighten up and move toward the free spirit within, that's when their true gifts can really come to life. My coaching client, Architect and Enneagram Type 1, Amie Lindsay, has mirrored a lot of areas of my life that I needed to have reflected back to me. Today on the show, Amy walks us through her Enneagram Type 1 story. While everything in Amie's life looked great on paper and to the outside world, she faced challenges in her business and her most personal relationships. We'll dig deeper into how Enneagram coaching with me helped transform her relationship with her daughter and how she uses the tools of her 2 and 9 wings as a wife, mother, and even in her business. Listen in as Amie walks us through the difficulties of working alongside another Enneagram 1 (and how they make it work). Plus, she shares what she wishes more people understood about the Enneagram Type 1 and her best advice for those who live with and love a 1 for a deeper connection. What You Will Learn The most pivotal moment for an Enneagram 1How the Enneagram 1s motivation to be 'good' makes them project onto others when they are lacking confidence in any area of their livesWhy Enneagram 1s high expectations make them feel like everything of theirs, from their car to their cat, reflects on themHow the high standards of Enneagram types like 8s and 1s can create division in their personal relationshipsWhy Enneagram 1s need a safe space, judgment-free zone to open up about what's really happening in their livesHow Enneagram 1s can look deeper to discover the 'what's in it for them' piece in their most personal relationshipsHow perfectionist Enneagram 1s can use their 2 and 9 wings to stretch toward more 'free spirited' growthAmy shares her advice on how softening the strong character of the Enneagram Type 1 gives other people more space to be themselvesWhy it's vital for Enneagram Type 1s to drop the armor to learn the most beautiful lessons in lifeConnect with Tracytracyomalley.comwww.instagram.com/tracy_omalleywww.facebook.com/tracy.omalleytwitter.com/TracyOMallwww.linkedin.com/in/tracy-o-malley/Email Tracy info@tracyomalley.com ResourcesApply for VIP 1:1 Enneagram Coaching:http://tracyomalley.com/workwithme/Book an Enneagram Kickstart Session:http://tracyomalley.com/workwithme/Review The Leadership Formula on Apple Podcasts:https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-leadership-formula-podcast-enneagram-success/id1491541582Email info@tracyomalley.com

We know that before we can lead others, we need to understand ourselves. So that's the best place to start with the Enneagram. But life is about relationships, and what makes relationships either cook or crumble is communication. But how do you communicate with someone who seems so vastly different from you?Enter the Enneagram. It not only helps us learn more about ourselves, but it can also help us understand more about others by connecting with what is really going on inside of them, and not just what they show to the world. Today, I'm going to pull back the curtain to share those pieces of each Enneagram type that they don't openly share. We're going to take a look at the closet fears and hidden vulnerabilities that even your closest loved ones might not be willing to show you. Listen in to find a fast past to empathy and unconditional love with your friends, family, and co-workers that embody the other Enneagram types. This episode will help you step around communication barriers, and misunderstandings and meet others with more understanding and compassion for better and ultimately deeper relationships. What You Will LearnHow you can avoid feelings of resentment in your relationship with an Enneagram 1The real reason 2s over give and how you can help them see their true value in your lifeThe deep-seated fear behind Enneagram 3s motivation for wanting to be the best What the Enneagram 4s are hiding by constantly reinventing themselvesWhy 5s might suddenly bail on a relationship just when you are getting closeWhat internal fear is keeping the Enneagram 6 from living up to their potentialHow 7s internal struggles can lead to gluttony and addiction Why 8s play a push-pull game in relationships if they're not sure you have their backWhy 9s don't express their feelings, and instead just go along with things to keep the peaceConnect with Tracytracyomalley.comwww.instagram.com/tracy_omalleywww.facebook.com/tracy.omalleytwitter.com/TracyOMallwww.linkedin.com/in/tracy-o-malley/Resources Book an Enneagram Kickstart Session:http://tracyomalley.com/workwithme/Apply to work with Tracy:http://tracyomalley.com/workwithme/Reason, Season, or Lifetime Poem:https://www.google.com/search?q=Reason+Season+or+Lifetime+poem+on+google&rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS852US852&oq=Reason+Season+or+Lifetime+poem+on+google&aqs=chrome..69i57.10248j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8Email info@tracyomalley.com

Episode 22 is extremely meaningful for me, as I'm talking with a teacher and mentor who profoundly influenced my path as a movement teacher. I met Chrissy Carter almost exactly 10 years ago. And from the very first class I took with her, I knew I had found someone I wanted to know and learn from for the rest of my life. Chrissy has an incredible way about her-a way that helps you feel more comfortable in your own skin and more connected to who you really are. Without question, meeting Chrissy changed the trajectory of my career in movement in the best possible way. She has been a mentor to me in so many ways-it is truly an honor to talk with her on the podcast today. Our conversation is centered on movement, but expands out into so many amazing areas and how our relationship with ourselves and our bodies influences basically every aspect of our lives. Some of the things we talk about....As a teacher, how to connect with people in a way that guides them to connect with themselvesWhy yoga and all movement practices are about giving yourself permission to explore and connect with what actually works not with what you "should" doWhy finding a teacher or coach that knows how to balance structure and freedom can change everything for youWhy choosing movement that fits with your life has a positive ripple effect into everything else you do The most helpful question you can ask yourself to know if you're on the right path Why breaking away from the "should" mindset is the key to finding joy in movementHow movement can help you feel welcome in your own bodyWhy finding self acceptance is a lifelong practiceThe shifting relationship between structure and space and how to know what you need and when you need itGetting comfortable with the idea that what you like and what works for you can and will change over time There is SO much good stuff in here, soak up as much as you can and then listen again!Connect with ChrissyWebsiteInstagramConnect with JordanaWebsiteInstagramFacebook

Highlights of the Lessons Learned: Time management is one of the key skills to succeed because what you do every single day is the result you are going to get.Time is money and if business owners are not managing their time effectively, they are not managing their business as effectively as they could. So when running a business, it is so important that you have to look at what you are doing with your time every single day.To succeed, the business owner needs to gain clarity and sound judgment on:What are the tasks to be done? When to allocate certain tasksWhich tasks to take and to focus on by themselvesWhy do people procrastinateHow to drive yourself forward towards your goalsHow to stay focused, how to be in the right frame of mind to get things done, within the time limitations. How to be best productiveSome reasons why there are so many people who struggle to manage their time:Lack of personalization – A lot of people adopt some techniques that don’t work for them. What applies to you may not apply to somebody else.Being oblivious to the value of spending their time and the impact of improving their work-life balance.Allowing excuses like, “there’s no time” or “when I have time”.Complimentary skill – Due to growing demands where people are juggling so many things at once, while time management is something not learned in school; rather, it is an acquired skill through experience and time personalization;Resistance when failure is experienced. Personalization of Time Management The “trick” when it comes to time management is not creating a to-do list or ‘let’s do this together.’ It is about why you are doing this; what it will do to you when you do that, etc. – meaning, the whole “rationale” of doing things and prioritizing over others. So, you need to find a system that works for you. The best way to initiate personalization of time management is to start creating a vision and clarity of where everything starts; being realistic about where your time is going and what you are doing with your time so you will know how much time is being wasted and what your time thieves are.According to Kirstin, a 10% improvement in your time usage could free 6 minutes in every hour…45 minutes a day and therefore, 3.75 hours or half a day per week.If you lack time, learning how to manage it can make a huge difference to your stress level and help you identify other important things that you can get done. You also improve your quality of life. The common time thieves for business owners are:Procrastination – and not even knowing you are doing it.Being Disorganized – jumping from one task to another aimlessly. Not planning the tasks and not prioritizing properly. The secrets that business owners need to do to avoid these time-wasters are:Be honest with themselvesSelf-reflection at the end of the dayTake responsibility for the results
