This is an episode that is going to blow your mind and bring many positive changes to your life. Writing reviews for the world to see is a good thing, right? We've all been told we are providing a service to others. But is that the actual Source Truth of it? Not even close. Prepare to have everything you know change about what writing a review actually does to you and the person of focus. In This Episode:Understanding the genuine intent behind writing reviews and how the law of reflections can sour and snowball this intent into something unintentionally damagingHow the law of reflections works when it comes to assessing someone else's performance, what happens with the fight or flight system during these kinds of interactions and how the criticisms we'd want to share about another person are actually exposing what we are struggling with within ourselves Breaking down the different components and roles that are present within a triggering exchange/situation and what things amplify the severity of our reactions How realizing our personal role in creating situations and taking accountability for it enables us to regain beautiful control over our own lives and opens up the possibility for the originally triggering exchange to transform into something incredibly life-changing for everyone involvedUncovering the empowering truth behind a person being a villain in your lifeA question to ask yourself in triggered moments with a person or company to rise above the fight or flight reactions and get into a higher frequency view point of what's actually going on and how this applies directly to a consumer situationHow understanding and embodying this high frequency knowing about the two roles in an triggering exchange allows us to spread greater levels of compassion, unity and help throughout the world and peopleA breakdown of how you can start using this formula in your life to turn something triggering into something transformational How negative reviews directly affect the other person's creator field negatively, what happens on an energetic level and how the law of focus can snowball this into a dark force situation An introduction to unconscious rituals and how easy it actually is to create oneUnderstanding the personal repercussions of writing negative reviews as well as the real life problems it could cause for the person on the receiving end and the many lives connected to themWhat the higher frequency response to wanting to leave a negative review looks like and how to give your honest feedback in truly productive way that will lead to positive improvements that will benefit everyoneThe bigger picture of how implementing this higher frequency approach to negative reviews will beautifully improve the lives of many beyond just the single exchangeA mindset to start applying to all situations that will help you turn every interaction you have into something uplifting and a catalyst to something even greater than you could have imaginedIf you don't want to wait on your conscious expansion and learning you can go to www.guidedlighthealing.com and check out all of our amazing free content. https://www.glhschool.com/freelearningIf you resonate with this topic, you feel you have the foundations, and you'd like to know it all to do it all, here is where you need to be for that next level: For more on Reflections: Reflections Mastery Course:

Hello, I am Jonathan Gouthier co-producer and associate Pastor here at First Church of Torrington in the northwest corner of Connecticut. Welcome. On today's episode, I am joined by our Lead Pastor Steve Darr to dive a bit deeper into the message of In His Eyes— how Christians are to view life and the situations around us through the eyes of Christ. I presented this sermon with your notes, so we will get your take on what you wanted to be conveyed. Welcome Pastor Steve. In this episode, you'll discover:Why what we call things today is misguidedHow do we know that we are who we were meant to beWhy stewardship is also something that needs to be done for all human lifeHow can people get involved when they know they can't save everyoneThe four ways that we can value othersWe are becoming more and more a people without a conscious both in our country and in our churches. The only thing or actually there are two things that will renew, restore, and return moral consciousness to our land are the Word of God and the Spirit of God without them humanity will continue to be self-driven. If you've enjoyed our episodes, then let me ask you to share it with a friend and have them listen in. Next time we will be thinking about commands and options. Until then, view all life through His eyes faith first.

Summary:A lot of first-time authors get the same conventional advice: “Just start writing!” While doing something is usually better than doing nothing, “Just start writing” too often ends up meaning, “Waste a lot of time grasping at straws and keep trying to guess what your book is really about.”The good news is, if you want to position your book like a pro, and get the maximum value and ROI out of your book, there are two key questions that you're better off asking (and answering) before you begin to write, so that you can stop wasting precious time, and get started writing an impactful book that helps you reach your most ambitious goals. In episode #137 of The Author's Corner, Robin reveals the two questions that every author needs to answer if they want to position themselves as an expert. Plus, once you answer these questions, you will come out on the other side even more confident about the value your book will provide for your reader!Key takeaways:Why “just jumping in” isn't a good strategyWhy you can't write a book for everyoneThe question you need to ask yourself to discover your unique, saleable conceptHow the comparable books exercise can help you pinpoint your selling pointAnd more!About Robin Colucci:sRobin Colucci is the principal founder of World Changing Books. SECURAM, a leading company in the security industry, recently announced the launch of its new suite of smart switch products. The Director of Marketing, Steve Davidson, shared insights about the unique features of these products.Smart security switch with beamThe suite includes three types of switches, each designed with a specific focus on security. One of the standout features is a laser sensor located on the front of the switch. This sensor, which is thin and measures no more than three millimeters, can detect motion up to 15 feet away in both dark and bright settings. The laser sensor is designed to trigger alarms or turn on lights when motion is detected. It is positioned at a height that is unlikely to be triggered by pets or children, ensuring that any motion detected is intentional.Added security for emergenciesOne of the key features of the smart security switch is its ability to make phone calls in case of emergencies. This means that users can set it up to automatically call emergency services if they do not respond to a notification. While there is no information about whether this service will be subscription-based, the company is considering different options. One of the standout features of the smart security switch is its ability to function even without an internet connection. While certain features may not be available without internet access, the switch can still communicate with other devices within the house. This is made possible through the switches' ability to talk to each other, creating a network of communication within the home. The smart security switch also has programmable features. Users can program the up and down buttons to control multiple switches in their home. This allows for convenient control of lights and other devices throughout the house.Using the switches togetherWhile it is not necessary to have multiple switches, SECURAM recommends grouping them for optimal security. The company offers a regular switch without the laser sensor, a dimmer switch, and a programmable version of the security switch. These switches can be used to secure common entry points for intruders, such as front and back doors or patio doors.Davidson confirmed that the ideal setup would include a switch near each door, but the final decision depends on the individual's home layout and needs. The switches are controlled through the SecureAMGuard app, which allows users to group and manage all their switches in one place. The app offers various scenes, automations, and triggers that can be set. Users can even set up the switch to notify the police or a specific person if motion is detected.Simple installation for everyoneThe installation process for the smart security switch is straightforward and can be done by anyone who is comfortable installing a regular switch. The switch simply pinches the wires, making it easy to install. However, it is important to turn off the breaker before installation to ensure safety. The company provides an installation video on Amazon to guide users through the process.Biometric door lock with appAnother security product in the family is the EOS lock. This is a biometric door lock that offers a high level of security. It features a fingerprint reader and a durable aluminum metal housing. Users can also enter a passcode to unlock the door. The EOS lock is available in both Wi-Fi and standalone models. The standalone model does not require an internet connection and operates mechanically. The EOS lock can be connected to the Guard app, which allows users to remotely open and close the door. This feature is particularly useful for granting access to guests when the homeowner is not at home. The app also provides a history of when the door was opened and closed, as well as alerts for when the door is left open. What sets the EOS apart? While there are competitors in the market offering similar products, SECURAM differentiates itself through its extensive experience in the lock industry. With over 30 years of experience in the lock and safe lock industries, SECURAM has established a high standard of quality and reliability. This expertise gives users confidence in the security and durability of the EOS lock.Overall, the biometric door lock with app offered by SECURAM provides a convenient and secure solution for enhancing home security. With its programmable features, remote access capabilities, and high-quality construction, it is a reliable choice for homeowners looking to protect their property. Conclusion: Unique security in an expensive packageThe pricing for the smart security switch is reasonable, with the regular switch priced at $24.95 and the dimmer switch priced at $59.95. This makes it an affordable option for enhancing home security. The MSRP for the smart EOS lock is $269.In conclusion, SECURAM's smart security switch with a beam is designed to enhance home security by detecting motion and triggering alarms or lights. It can be grouped with other switches and controlled through the SecureAMGuard app, which offers a range of customization options. The SECURAM smart lock is a reliable and convenient solution for enhancing home security. With its biometric capabilities, remote access features, and solid construction, it offers homeowners peace of mind and ease of use.To learn more about SECURAM and its product offerings, check out their website or Amazon store.Interview by Don Baine, The Gadget Professor.Sponsored by: Get $5 to protect your credit card information online with Privacy. During the many years I was single, the best advice I got was “You won't be for everyone.” This came as a relief and it still surprises me that it was news to me at the time. Well, of course, I'm not for everyone! Duh!But why did I focus on “everyone” needing to find me attractive?I think my experience in putting a lot of weight and focus on the concept of “everyone” is a common dating trap.Today we're going to challenge the concept of “everyone” needing to find you attractive, being comfortable with you, or even accepting you. It's a Relief to Let Go of EveryoneThe person who said this to me actually conveyed it in a very loving way and with the intention of helping me to let go of my arduous efforts to impress all potential partners. And it worked! I began to breathe more deeply and relax into who I am, rather than what I was putting out there. In my dating years, I believed in the impossible – that all potential dating partners could work through their resistance toward my disability. After all, I go through life, knowing that certain people in general will just have difficulty accepting my disability…and people who would have a more intimate relationship with me, would not?! Ugh, arrogance! When I received this gentle slap in the face of “You're not for everyone,” it was actually welcomed. Ahh, this meant I could focus on those who were for me and let go of my false need for the others. From Everyone to SomeoneRelaxing into this knowledge helped to foster my Power to Attract (see episode 10), meaning I could put my focus more on what I had to offer to the dating/relationship scene, than trying to draw someone to me. The Power to Attract is about focusing on our gifts and abilities. When you do this, you draw the right people to you.On some level when you live with a disability, people will always look at what you don't “have.” For better or worse, it's human nature. Our job as people with disabilities, I believe, is to be open to all the gifts and lessons we bring to the many who are open to us. If you're out there dating, knowing you're not for everyone really helps clear the way for those who are drawn to you.A Word About RejectionAnother area in dating where the word “everyone” trips us up is when we're rejected. It could be by one person or ten, but we can believe that everyone is rejecting us. When we think that everyone is rejecting us, that can certainly negatively impact our self esteem and confidence.Where Do We Go From Here? Catch yourself when you find yourself falling into the “everyone” trap. It's not true! Every single person does not believe what one or even 50 people believe.Focus on the someones that are out there that will find you attractive, will want to get to know you, and will accept you.Download the resource for this episode, The Power to Attract, to help you focus on the someones rather than everyone.Resources Free download - The Power to AttractPlease leave a review so that more people can learn about the podcast.CreditsMusic by: https://www.purple-planet.com "Successful Motivation"Artwork photo by Elevate

It can be a lot to manage: building a business, being a parent, a spouse all while keeping your sanity. Sabrina is a lifestyle photography out of Fort Worth, TX who also educates! You may have seen her on Instagram Live answering ALL the questions. Now, let's jump into the conversation! Squirrel SyndromeCreatives tend to have all kinds of ideas. Usually they don't lack for vision, but because of the amount of new ideas and projects they don't always finish the ones they start. And here's the thing, some of those ideas are to help organize and build a sustainable schedule, but the follow through isn't there. Maybe you've thought, "I'll batch schedule" or "I'll have a routine". But then, while juggling your current things your creative brain starts adding more! Are any of you relating? Sadly, without boundaries, saying no, or having follow through you will meet burn out face to face. Sustainable Looks Different for EveryoneThe beauty of humanity is just how diverse we all are. There is not one person that's been copied and pasted in the world. So why do we look at others and still battle the comparison trap? Imposter syndrome is a real thing! As photographers we need the internet. Social media is often how we gain new clients. So, we can't just close our eyes to the world around us. That's not solving comparison, it's hiding from it. You each have to determine what matters to you and what you can handle. The amount of sessions one can handle in a month, versus the amount of sessions you can handle in a month is totally different. Because some have kids that are different ages, and we all have different support systems. Just because you CAN do all the things doesn't mean you can do them well. Building a sustainable schedule will look different to everyone. It speaks to what success looks like to you, which is different for everyone! The Reality of Your ScheduleTake a blank calendar (print one off the internet) and put in your dream work. Start with your personal commitments! This is often where entrepreneurs get it wrong. They think the client comes first! No, think through what a standard week looks like. Include carpools, sports, if you have regular therapy or doctor's appointments, if you've got a full time job, if you want to prioritize date night! I mean literally all of your personal things, going to the gym, Bible study, etc. Now you can effectively plan a life you're participating in. If you have an extra hour on Friday that doesn't necessarily mean you can shoot another session! It's not just the shoot you're planning. It's the driving, emailing, culling, editing, etc! So if you've only got 7 hours available per week, for work time, you're probably only taking one client! Stick to your boundaries, and give your best version of yourself to those around you. The Boundary ConversationSetting appropriate boundaries are healthy. This starts with knowing yourself. When are your best work hours? Are you a morning person or night owl? It's ok to set work hours and when those hours are up literally shut off that part of your brain. For some, you need to start utilizing auto responders for client emails. Maybe you need to put your phone on "Do Not Disturb" at a certain time in the evening. Understanding that in order for others to effectively be served by you means you have to be taken care of. Photographers, you have contracts in place to help you operate in boundaries! Because we are the CEO, we created this business, we decide the rules. As long as we have clearly defined boundaries and laid out those expectations up front we protect ourselves and those inquiring of us. 5 Step SummaryNumber...

Before people can talk about God, they need to define what they mean by the word "God."According to the Tao Te Ching, as soon as you define God, you're no longer defining all of what God is.So, all we can do is question and riff. That's what we do in this episode.Key topics:Can we know what God is?Can we separate God from religion? What is God without religion? What is religion without God? Experiencing God vs. Believing in GodMore topics:The tolerance paradox (re: preaching tolerance while not tolerating intolerance)How our belief in God helps or hinders our ability to be our best selvesSome people are their best selves when they believe in GodSome people are their worst selves because of their belief in GodThe other beliefs we attach to God (afterlife, sin/ethics, our purpose)If you believe God is a male, you believe gender is a matter of identity and not biologyIf you believe in hell and love people, you'll evangelize to literally everyoneThe need for systemic reformRyan's favorite quote about God:“As a man who has devoted his whole life to the most clearheaded science, to the study of matter, I can tell you as a result of my research about the atoms this much: There is no matter as such! All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particles of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. . . . We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent Mind. This Mind is the matrix of all matter.”-Max PlanckQuote about scripture vs. experience:"When the bird and the book disagree, trust the bird."-James AudubonAbby & Ryan land on the idea that we are all different fingers on the same hand, and what we call "God" is the palm. My first few years as a dentist didn't involve dental implants, and most of it was due to my lack of surgical confidence. It wasn't like I needed to include dental implants in my practice - business was booming without it. Then, the Crash of 2008 happened, and it opened my eyes to the importance of offering a variety of services that cater to a broader market. One of these is dental implants, a procedure that, to this day, not many dentists provide. I invested in learning the basics and advanced implant procedures, allowing my practice to grow exponentially. It was one of the best decisions I have made in my career.Today, I share the economics of including implants in your practice, how many you can typically do in a year, and the potential earnings you're missing out on by not offering it. I discuss why there's never a ‘perfect time' to start offering dental implants. I describe my first implant experience and my takeaways from that day. I explain the different side effects of having implants in your practice and what you can expect from our program and course offerings. I also share how technology has made doing implants easier, more profitable, and more efficient than other popular services."Implant dentistry should be done at the highest level; it should be done with the most predictability and the most scalability - and technology delivers that." - Tarun Agarwal This week on T-Bone Speaks Dentistry Podcast:The economics in getting started with implant dentistry and if they're worth itWhy there's never a great time to start implantsWhy I used to be a restorative-only dentist for the first few years of my careerWhen I began implant dentistry and why it was difficultWhy you can never know too much about implant dentistryThe first implant I had and the number of PAs it tookThe possible side effects of implant dentistry in your practiceHow implant dentistry taught me to slow down so I can speed upWhy our implant dentistry program is not for everyoneThe road I don't recommend taking to implant dentistryWhy you should have a CBCT in your officeThe ancillary tools you should have for implantsThe number of implants the average successful dentist will do in a yearWhat it takes to plan, place, and restore a dental implantWhat dentists can expect from our retreat and dental programsOur Favorite Quotes:"Getting started is the most important thing." - Tarun Agarwal"I looked at implants as I was going to have a staged approach that I could build upon." - Tarun Agarwal"The beauty of implant dentistry is - the learning will ever stop with implant dentistry." - Tarun AgarwalSubscribe, Connect & Share Your Favorite EpisodesThanks for tuning into this week's episode of T-Bone Speaks Dentistry. There are barriers to entry in CosplayYes, Cosplay is for everyone, but Cosplay is also expensive for everyoneThe first few can be scary, discouraging, and you may not think much of them yourself (the more you do it, the better it gets – different topic, we’ll cover later). There is already a lot going on, and some groups are not as inviting as others. There’s a lot of vetting, there are many competitive Cosplayers and suddenly followers are a thing to think about – if you’re new, you may not have many (or care).Break in by remembering why you wanted to do this in the first place – you wanted the fun and fandom, you wanted to go see a celebrity or artist, or creative. And then figure out what else you wanted to do with the investment of your time and resources – is it just for fun, or is there more you want to contribute – make that your sticking point.Failure is ok – it’s learning; being nice is also helpful!
White privilege - An emotive and powerful subject which is often misunderstood, ignored or denied by white people. Ignorance is no defence. For generations this has been the case. What happened to George Floyd made us all face the unavoidable mirror of white privilege - but this is not a new thing. So why does it take having to see the horrific murder of a black man in front of our eyes to have this impact on some? Now is the time to have the uncomfortable conversations, to really do the work to understand this born privilege and what it means and alos the actions we can take to be actively anti-racist. The #blacklivesmatter movement can be misperceived and misunderstood by white people and this is the live example of the ignorance and the unconscious bias that exists in all of us. We need to confront this and dig deep to raise our awareness around this. Ruth Kudzi is an ICF Accredited Coach , a former Deputy Head teacher and a white woman married to a black man with two young children of mixed heritage. She is not racist yet she is very aware that she is a white privileged woman, as am I, and as coaches, we are aware of unconscious bias within all of us. Until we raise the awareness and until we speak and confront difficult and painful situations, we cannot change. This is what coaching is about, awareness and then change. Ruth is passionate about this and so I invited her to have this conversation with me on the podcast, for us to be accountable - knowing we may possibly get it wrong, knowing that it's not going to be good enough but also knowing that we have a space and a voice to confront and admit this to ourselves too - and it's our duty to use this and to urge others to do the same in the name of healing, respect and a better way forward for everyoneThe coaching space is a very white dominated space too and I, for one, want to see this change and actively champion diversity in COACH. The industry also has a lot of power to influence and so we now must step up and embrace this on a deep, personal level and then seek to actively change and raise awareness in our businesses, lives and in every space where we see opportunity for change. Ruth Kudzi is a qualified ICF Coach, mentor and best-selling author. She holds an MA in Psychology and at PGCE in Business.ruthkudzi.com

Different professionals are able to give advice about a specific field – but who’s taking responsibility for looking at the big picture? How do you know if opportunities are slipping between the gaps? What if you have an issue/problem/question that bleeds over a few different fields?Firstly, it is important to understand the what different professionals can and cannot talk about (by law).Mortgage adviceTo give advice about a mortgage, borrowing capacity, interest rates, products and so on the professional must hold an Australian Credit License (or be an authorised representative of an ACL holder). You can search ASIC’s register of credit representatives here.Tax adviceAnyone that provides tax agent services (tax advice, lodge tax returns, etc.) for a fee must be registered with the Tax Practitioners Board. You might find that some well-meaning professionals (such as mortgage brokers or buyer’s agents) offer you tax advice or express an opinion about how an item should be treated for taxation purposes, but you should always confirm this advice with a Registered Tax Agent. You can search the Tax Agents register here.Financial adviceTo be able to provide financial advice, you must hold an Australia Financial Services License (AFSL) or be an authorised representative of a holder. Financial advice includes cash flow management/budgeting, investing in shares, superannuation, retirement planning, estate planning, risk management and so on. I have written previously about the importance of selecting a truly independent advisor. You can search the AFSL register here.Property adviceA person cannot recommend and help you purchase a property unless they are a licensed real estate agent. Licensing is State based and this page provides a good summary including links to registers. General property investment advice is completely unregulated and I have written about why this is a problem in The Australian here. Therefore, if you are paying for property advice, be very careful.Insurance adviceMany financial advisors also provide insurance advice. However, sometimes professionals are insurance advisors only i.e. they have a limited AFSL.What can and cannot be covered…Therefore, mortgage brokers can only give advice about credit (mortgage) products, not cash flow or taxation matters.Tax agents can only give you tax advice and cannot comment on cash flow, investments, mortgages, superannuation and so on.A financial planner can't talk about tax consequences or give you borrowing advice unless they hold the appropriate licenses. The problem is many financial decisions are interrelatedMany financial decisions cross over multiple fields and require input from various professionals to ensure you arrive at a thoroughly well-considered conclusion. Take the decision to upgrade or downsize your family home for instance. Whether to do this and at what budget would include borrowing considerations (mortgage broker), cash flow and retirement planning (financial advisor) and possibly taxation (tax agent). Some decisions are relatively simple and only need brief input. However, more complex issues can result in a lot of back-and-forth between the different advisors before an optimal solution is found. The risk in this situation is that its open to miscommunication, misunderstandings and/or omissions.Who’s responsibility is it?Who’s responsibility is it to ensure all your advisors are engaged in dealing with your financial matters when appropriate? There are three possible solutions:1. You need to take responsibility for this. This means its your responsibility to ensure you communicate with each individual advisor and ensure any plans and advice is shared amongst them. My key bit of advice is that there is no downside to oversharing. That is, be careful to assume that a bit of information isn’t relevant because you don’t know what you don’t know. Share everything and let your advisors decide what is relevant or not.2. Engage a holistic independent firm. The firm should be independent and hold all three key licenses (AFSL, ACL and Tax Agency). Secondly, the firm must have a good collaboration culture – so they are sharing information about clients amongst themselves – rather than working is silos. I know that this is easier said than done as a lot of effort in our business goes into ensuring we are effective sharing information between ourselves.3. Engage a group of firms that have a deep relationship with each-other. If you deal with independent businesses that know and respect each-other there is a greater chance that they will pick up the phone and share ideas/solutions about your financial situation. You will still need to facilitate and encourage the communication, but it will be easier. There are non-advice benefits tooIf we have set up insurances for a client, then our tax accountants know to ensure they claim a tax deduction for their income protection premium. Similarly, if we have set up a client’s loan structure, we will ensure those interest deductions are correctly reflected in our client’s tax returns. When the right hand knows what the left hand is doing, nothing gets missed. Its our responsibility to ensure we pick these things up, not yours.Holistic might not suit everyoneThe key point I want to get across is that many financial decisions require a multi-disciplinary approach which means you must ensure all your advisors are included in the conversation. Most people don’t have the knowledge and experience to identify what information is relevant to each advisor. Any omissions or miscommunication can cause expensive and sometimes irrevocable mistakes or missed opportunities. If you acknowledge this fact, then you must select one of the three solutions above.Ultimately, the more eyes you have looking over your financial circumstances, the greater the chance of you maximising your opportunities. Over the past 17 years of operating a multi-disciplinary, holistic financial services business, I observe this benefit on almost a daily basis.
