Treyvon Worley is an inspiring individual who has dedicated his life to breaking the silence and stigma surrounding mental health. As someone living with Borderline Personality Disorder, he knows the challenges firsthand. Growing up in a household marked by neglect, ridicule for his sexuality, and emotional pain, Treyvon sought solace and a different life. He prayed for change and promised himself that he would bring hope, peace, and knowledge to others facing similar struggles. Treyvon's commitment led to the creation of “Crazy Talk,” a podcast that delves deep into the world of living with mental health conditions. Through personal stories, expert insights, and practical strategies, he aims to create a safe space where individuals can openly discuss their mental health experiences. Treyvon's journey is one of resilience, and he is determined to foster empathy, support, and understanding in a world that often shrouds mental health in silence. Listen & Subscribe on: iTunes / Stitcher / Podbean / Overcast / Spotify Contact Info Website: www.TalkCrazyWithMe.com Podcast: Crazy Talk Most Influential Person My Aunt Effect On Emotions Mindfulness is a crucial part of my Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) recovery. BPD brings intense, overwhelming emotions that can blind me from reality. With mindfulness, I've learned to recognize when I'm triggered and remove myself from situations. I let myself sit with my emotions without trying to change everything. It's a big step towards healing. Sometimes, it only takes about 30 minutes for emotions to pass. However, there have been times when I spent hours alone in my room, aware that leaving could hurt others emotionally. Being self-aware of my behavior and patterns is vital for my progress. Thoughts On Breathing Breathing is a powerful tool for managing intense emotions. When I get triggered, my body goes into a fight-or-flight response. My heart races, palms get sweaty, and my breathing speeds up. By regulating my breath, I can calm my nervous system and bring myself down from that emotional high. I find it crucial to control my reactions. I often use an Apple watch with a breathing app to help with this practice. Bullying Story Treyvon shared his experiences with bullying, mainly coming from within his own family. School wasn't the source of his bullying, but rather, it was his mom and oldest sister who were the major culprits. Treyvon believes that if both he and his family had been more mindful, things might have been different. Looking back, he acknowledges that as a kid, he couldn't control what was happening at home, but he could have managed his reactions better. As a child, he thought that forcefully expressing his emotions was the right way to deal with it, but now he understands the importance of mindfulness, acknowledging his feelings, and allowing himself to experience them. At the moment, criticizing “the left” has nothing inherent to do with conservatism. It's a basic question of sanity. -Bret Weinstein I want my kids to go to a school where all their teachers wear sidearms and outside there is a sign that says, “All our teachers wear sidearms.” It means something that the left in one era burns the flag over Vietnam, kneels during the Anthem because of Treyvon or whoever, raises the black power fist, won't come out during the Anthem over mass shootings. The left always makes the national symbol the target of the protest. Pro-lifers never did this. "We must always ask ourselves whether as citizens we have earned what those who died at Shiloh or in the Meuse-Argonne gave us." "It is not sustainable for the nation's privileged to sit in disgust for a flag that their betters raised under fire on Iwo Jima for others not yet born." Victor Davis Hanson, The Dying Citizen
