An Air-Force brat, Joseph was born in Panama's Canal Zone and was bilingual from birth. Moving to Mississippi offered him the experiential lens for the greater part of America: how they think, feel, shop. Educated in Stockholm and Paris, as his language skills grew so did his world view, particularly his understanding of the female consumer. In this episode of the Road to Growth podcast, we are pleased to introduce you to Shaahin Cheyene. Shaahin is one of the world's top Amazon consultants, an award winning business mogul, author and filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California. Shaahin is currently the founder of a brain nutrition startup Accelerated Intelligence where he is positioning the enterprise to be the forerunner in the brain nutrition supplements market. Shaahin is the quintessential American success story. Born in Tehran, Iran in 1975, his family immigrated to America in 1980, during the tumultuous Islamic Revolution. As a young boy, Shaahin knew he was destined for entrepreneurship. Cheyene's passion progressed into several booming small businesses, including a bicycle repair service. He read financial magazines voraciously and gleaned inspiration from the works of Dale Carnegie and Napoleon Hill. As a teenager in the 1990's he jump started his career by inciting and leading the “Smart Drug Movement” with his invention of Herbal Ecstacy, an energizing, herbal supplement designed to stimulate the body. With Herbal Ecstacy, Shaahin founded his first business venture, Global World Media (no longer in operation), a maker of legal intoxicants. He learned early in his career about guerilla branding and he still uses it to sell his products today. Shaahin has invented over 200 award-winning products, selling millions of units worldwide. After pioneering the breakthrough formulation for Herbal Ecstacy, he expanded his company's offerings with Ecstacy Cigarettes, an herbal alternative to tobacco that many have used to quit smoking. It went on to become the most successful herbal cigarette in the world. Branded the “Willy Wonka of Generation X” Shaahin has been likened to such divergent entrepreneurs as Bill Gates and P.T. Barnum. In the early 2000's, Shaahin's career naturally evolved and matured. He began to work with several major pharmaceutical companies to broadcast the technologies and benefits of herbal medicines to the mainstream. In this process Shaahin was responsible for proliferation of several plant medicines now used in popular naturopathic health regimens. In 2000 Shaahin invented, patented and developed a revolutionary new medicine delivery technology dubbed the Vapir Vaporizer. His invention quickly spearheaded the then burgeoning vaporization industry. He also authored the definitive book on the science of Vaporization, Vapor: The Art and Science of Inhaling Pure Plant Essences. Shaahin prepared Vapir for the public markets but subsequently sold the invention to a private investment group in Silicon Valley in 2006. The Vapir Vaporizer sales are still in the millions worldwide. Shaahin credits the creation of his top selling health supplement Excelerol to his career long love of naturopathic herbal remedies. He remains true to his goals to nurture and help improve the health of the masses with herbal alternatives to harsh chemicals.   Learn more and connect with Shaahin Cheyene by visiting him on Website: https://www.shaahincheyenne.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/S.Cheyene/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/auntier8chel/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/shaahincheyene     Be sure to follow us on Twitter: Twitter.com/to_growth on Facebook: facebook.com/Road2Growth   Subscribe to our podcast across the web: https://www.theenriquezgroup.com/blog Spotify: https://spoti.fi/2Cdmacc iTunes: https://apple.co/2F4zAcn Castbox: http://bit.ly/2F4NfQq Google Play: http://bit.ly/2TxUYQ2 Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKnzMRkl-PurAb32mCLCMeA?view_as=subscriber

New and innovative techniques that help in preserving sexual function for men who are undergoing surgical therapy for an enlarged prostate continue to emerge. Those techniques have been a significant contribution to our field, particularly for men who wish to preserve their ejaculatory function but may not be candidates for less invasive approaches. Preservation of ejaculation often gets viewed in a positive light by the patients and their partners, and for many men, that factor weighs heavily when they review all their options for BPH. Two of the newer techniques have been providing a significant improvement in the sparing of men's ejaculatory function when compared with the traditional technique for Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (or TURP). Those techniques have been providing comparable improvements in both symptoms and quality of life. In this episode, Dr. Pohlman reviews the two ejaculate-preserving TURP techniques. Stay tuned for more! Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), also called Prostate Gland Enlargement, is a common condition for many men as they get older. About half of all men between the ages of fifty-one and sixty have BPH. And up to ninety percent of men over eighty have BPH. It is important to understand that BPH is a benign or non-cancerous condition, which means that it does not lead to prostate cancer. Even so, BPH and prostate cancer can co-exist simultaneously. That means that men getting evaluated for BPH should also get screened for prostate cancer when appropriate.  As a urologist, Dr. Pohlman feels very fortunate to be practicing in an era with new advances in technology that allow him to better care for his patients who are suffering from an enlarged prostate. Be sure to listen in today to hear about the new and innovative techniques that help preserve sexual function for men undergoing surgical therapy for an enlarged prostate. Dr. Pohlman discusses one of the driving factors for a paradigm shift in the treatment of BPH. Dr. Pohlman explains what retrograde ejaculation is and how it affects men. Retrograde ejaculation can also result from medication used to treat enlargement of the prostate. Many men have been shifting to MIST therapies that have no risk of retrograde ejaculation. Dr. Pohlman discusses some of those therapies. Dr. Pohlman explains why retrograde ejaculation can result from the TURP procedure. Dr. Pohlman talks about how the theory that the bladder neck musculature needs to contract for the process to work normally, has been challenged. The Faction Election War Won (20) (Audio) The DS Left Attacks Churchianity Garrett Crawford - 1/30/21 (David’s notes in red)   Although this dream was about a video game I wanted to be clear I do not play video games now but I did when I was a kid. I am 38 now, no time for video games. :o) I woke up about four in the morning and could not get back to sleep. About 8:30 am I drifted off to sleep for about 45 minutes and had this dream. I dreamed I was playing a military strategy PC game where you start off building a base then create infantry and vehicles. You defend your base and try to conquer the other player’s base. I started off in the southern part of the map and my opponent was in the northern part of the map. I had built my base up and it was very large, I could see my opponent in the north and his base was much smaller. (As we can tell by the vote map, The conservative base is very large and the leftist base is small but very vocal and slanderous.)  I wasn’t too concerned about him being a threat. (I believe Garrett was a type of the Church here although in the natural he is not this way. They dont see the leftists as a danger to them.) I was using a vehicle like a little jeep to scout out the map and I found an empty outpost or small base in the right side of the map in between me and my opponent’s base. It had a guard shack, barracks and other strategic buildings. You could send engineers in these buildings to commandeer them and they can produce units for you.  I also noticed a very powerful and strategic building in the South (It seemed like the most powerful building in the whole game) – it was a Large Temple. (Representing apostate Churchianity) I was curious what kind of powerful infantry units this would produce so I clicked on the building and waited for the units to come forth. To my surprise no powerful and deadly unit came out, it was defenseless. (Apostate Christianity which knows nothing of the power of faith, gifts, or spiritual warfare are defenseless. They dont believe they are called to be warriors in the spirit realm.)  I only saw civilian type men called “un-people”. I kept hitting the button to produce units and just these “un-people” kept coming out. (The Left and its MSM has been busy dehumanizing Trump voters calling them terrorists who should be jailed, cut from the internet, killed, etc., like the Nazis did the Jews and many Christians.  How ludicrous these who have an army of terrorists burning down cities and killing people are calling the Christians and right wing the terrorists.) They had no weapons or value in war. Then all a sudden a sneak attack from the enemy was launched on my little outpost on the right side of the map. There were long range missiles launchers and artillery attacking my outpost, I was caught totally off guard. (In preparation for a physical attack the left has been priming its army with a lot of slander and hatred missiles. Psa 11:2-3  For, lo, the wicked bend the bow, They make ready their arrow upon the string, That they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart;  3  If the foundations be destroyed, What can the righteous do?).  I thought I could defend against the attack but the attack from the north kept coming from the air and eventually the outpost was pretty much destroyed. That’s when I decided to retreat to my larger base. Even then I wasn’t too concerned.  All a sudden the computer narrator of the game spoke saying, ”SECRET WEAPON LAUNCHED.” When I heard this I thought “Oh no, that’s not good”. Then all a sudden like a missile or something hit the ground and the whole game screen turned completely BLACK. (Could this blackout come so the anarchists can invade. We have dreams of them invading cities in darkness to kill and burn and the military going after them with snipers, etc.). I could only see my own base and no longer had full view of the whole terrain like before, I was blind. (Some of this blindness could be the internet and communications going down.)  I had no idea what my enemy was doing in the north or where his next attack would come from. I had a very large base (Which is more right wing than Christian). and I needed to be able to see where the threats were coming from in order to defend it in the right way.  I also needed to see what my enemy was building. All this was taken away from me I was a sitting duck. Not longer after the blackout occurred another sneak attack occurred on my base in the south and it came from the left flank. (Thats an ambusher. They chose to fight the unarmed and defencelless). My enemy moved all his forces to the left of the map and hit my base. (They couldnt get more left.)  Without being able to move units and build up defenses in that location the enemy broke through my base, and eventually defeated me. I was stunned. I couldn’t believe how fast it all could have happened. The Game was over. Then something so random and out the blue happened: I had a glimpse of my niece Kayce showing me a picture of our family back in 2010. (Debbie Horton: “Kayce” means “alert, watchful.” That is what we need to be.). I didn’t know why she did that but in my head I calculated the number of years from 2010 till now and it came to 11. (Still in the dream) For some reason I instantly thought of the last 11 years of Judah and it’s (Apostate) capital Jerusalem. The last 11 years were ruled solely by King Zedekiah (Who was an apostate leadership of God’s people as we mostly have today. These people do not respect the Word, faith, or the prophetic voice.).  Zedekiah refused to acknowledge the growing threat from the kingdom in the north, Babylon. (Just like the non-Spirit Filled Church of today)  Despite Jeremiah, Isaiah, and Ezekiel’s warnings he believed the false prophets that Babylon was no threat and would be defeated within 2 years. By the time Zedekiah realized all his false prophets were wrong (As they are today) it was too late and Babylon was literally breaking through the walls of Jerusalem. The Temple was burnt to the ground along with the city itself. (The destruction of the apostate people of God and their religious system.  God is just as angry with this today as then, He is preparing to send reformers and the apostate leadership hates them as in Jesus’ day.) I am really careful not to interpret what anything means. I did look up the word “un-person” and it comes from the novel 1984. (I was unfamiliar with the term) In the George Orwell's book Nineteen Eighty-Four, an “Unperson" is someone who has been vaporized. Vaporization is when a person is secretly murdered and erased from society, the present, the universe, and existence. I also found that an unperson is an individual who completely removed from recognition or consideration usually for political or ideological reasons. (An unperson is a dehumanized person. The left is quickly dehumanizing the right even though they are by far the majority of the voters and should have a large voice.).  Could the “un-people” that were produced in the temple on the “right” be the Christians that will be attacked and destroyed by the beast? The small base on the right with the Temple almost reminded me of a buffer, once it was taken out then the attack on the base in the South could commence. The large base or kingdom of the south was eventually overcome and destroyed by an attack that came from “The Left”. Could our end time Babylon be the kingdom of the North? (Yes this is the DS, I have expected the democrat communist party of the DS to attack the bible belt, even though it should be called the religious belt, in the south and on the right, which is Trump's base. Leftist Communist satanists hate Churchianity. They also tried to take down the grid before but the administration stopped it. The CCP has sold the US hardware for the grid which would make it possible for them to take it down so the DS could attack Zedekiah’s apostate kingdom. This is as we have been shown. Babylon DS will conquer apostate Christianity before Cyrus finishes conquering them at their Red Sea. Russian hackers could have accessed secret US blackout emergency plans: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/russia-hack-us-power-systems-b1782096.html  (Note: The Trump administration believes this hack was from the CCP not Russia. The Left always screams Russia, Russia, because they threw the DS out of their country.)  "Biden’s order could let China control the US electric grid." https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/bidens-order-could-let-china-control-u-s-electric-grid         "Less than one week into his presidency, Joe Biden has already put U.S. security at greater risk to Chinese and other threats." "In sum, Trump forbade the use of grid equipment that is made in China, Russia, or other hostile nations."   Garrett's scriptures: (We recognize that scriptures don't have to be literally true about a modern subject matter for God to speak through them to us. Just the words sometimes speak exactly to us.)Jeremiah 1:13-14. The word of the Lord came to me again: “What do you see?” “I see a pot that is boiling,” I answered. “It is tilting toward us from the north (Babylon).”The Lord said to me, “From the north disaster will be poured out on all who live in the land. I am about to summon all the peoples of the northern kingdoms,” declares the Lord.  Jeremiah 4:5-6 Announce in Judah and proclaim in Jerusalem and say: ‘Sound the trumpet throughout the land!’ Cry aloud and say: ‘Gather together! Let us flee to the fortified cities!’ Raise the signal to go to Zion! Flee for safety without delay! For I am bringing disaster from the north, even terrible destruction.  Jer 4:1-10  If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith Jehovah, if thou wilt return unto me, and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight; then shalt thou not be removed;  2  and thou shalt swear, As Jehovah liveth, in truth, in justice, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.  3  For thus saith Jehovah to the men of Judah and to Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.  4  Circumcise yourselves to Jehovah, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem; lest my wrath go forth like fire, and burn so that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.  5  Declare ye in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, Blow ye the trumpet in the land: cry aloud and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the fortified cities.  6  Set up a standard toward Zion (The true Bride): flee for safety, stay not; for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.  7  A lion is gone up from his thicket, and a destroyer of nations; he is on his way, he is gone forth from his place, to make thy land desolate, that thy cities be laid waste, without inhabitant.  8  For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and wail; for the fierce anger of Jehovah is not turned back from us.  9  And it shall come to pass at that day, saith Jehovah, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder.  10  Then said I, Ah, Lord Jehovah! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the life.     Jeremiah 6:1 Flee for safety, people of Benjamin! Flee from Jerusalem! Sound the trumpet in Tekoa! Raise the signal over Beth Hakkerem! For disaster looms out of the north, even terrible destruction.  Jeremiah 6:22 This is what the Lord says: Look, an army is coming from the land of the north (Babylon); a great nation is being stirred up from the ends of the earth.  Jer 6:16-22  Thus saith Jehovah, Stand ye in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way; and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls: but they said, We will not walk therein.  17  And I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet; but they said, We will not hearken.  18  Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them.  19  Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words; and as for my law, they have rejected it.  20  To what purpose cometh there to me frankincense from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt-offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices pleasing unto me.  21  Therefore thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will lay stumbling-blocks before this people; and the fathers and the sons together shall stumble against them; the neighbor and his friend shall perish.  22  Thus saith Jehovah, Behold, a people cometh from the north country; and a great nation shall be stirred up from the uttermost parts of the earth. Daniel 11:15  Then the king of the North will come and build up siege ramps and will capture a fortified city. The forces of the South will be powerless to resist; even their best troops will not have the strength to stand.  Daniel 11:40. At the time of the end the king of the South will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood.

In this episode, we talk with John Malanca about Nature's most healing plant! We tackle topics like, what is cannabis, how it used medically, the difference between THC and CBD, and much more! Fact: Most cancer patients do not die from cancer, but malnutrition.  John’s Introduction into Medical Cannabis  In 2011, father-in-law was battling stage 4 lung cancer, couldn’t eat, and was on oxygen 24/7.  Doctor gave him two weeks to live.  Started using a coconut oil capsule infused with raw and heated cannabis.  Within 24 hours he was eating, by day 8 he was walking around the house.  At the 3 month mark, switched to a full extract cannabis oil - administering a minute amount in the evening.  Within 6 months he was walking, driving, and Hospice fired him as a patient!  By the 9th month he had the first scan to show, “No evidence of recurrent disease."  After 17 lung and brain scans showing no evidence of recurrent disease! He is still healthy and happy today - 8 years later!    United Patients Group  Founded by John and Corrine Malanca to fill the information void surrounding medical cannabis.  Don't sell products - strictly education and information.  Teach local, state, international governments, as well as local, state and international medical institutions about medical cannabis.  All courses are CME approved continuing medical education.    What is cannabis?  Cannabis (/ˈkænəbɪs/) is a genus of flowering plants in the family Cannabaceae.   Also known as Hemp if less than .03% THC in the composition of the plant  Three species may be recognized:   Cannabis Sativa – formulations that include more uplifting, “day time” feelings  Cannabis Indica - formulations that include more sedative and relaxing effects, including pain reduction   Cannabis Ruderalis - (not discussed in the interview) naturally low concentrations of THC occurring, more research is being done on this variation of the species   Cannabis Hybrid - formulations that are mixes of Sativa and Indica based plants made from crossbreeding    There are currently 483 known compounds in the plant.  The main psychoactive part of cannabis is tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Although this is the main psychoactive components of the plant, it is also one of the main cannabinoids needed and used in medical treatments when Cannabis is on the protocol.   Contains at least 113 cannabinoids     Two Known Subtypes of Cannabinoid Receptors  First discovered in the 1980s. Located throughout the body. Part of the endocannabinoid system, which is involved in a variety of physiological processes including appetite, pain-sensation, mood, and memory, and more that have since been researched. These receptors are all over our body, head to toe.  The CB1 receptor is expressed mainly in the brain (central nervous system or "CNS"), but also in the lungs, liver and kidneys.   These receptors are thought to be one of the most widely expressed Gαi protein-coupled receptors in the brain  The CB2 receptor is expressed mainly in the immune system and in hematopoietic cells.  These receptors are mainly expressed on T cells of the immune system, on macrophages and B cells, and in hematopoietic cells.   They also have a function in keratinocytes.   They are also expressed on peripheral nerve terminals. These receptors play a role in antinociception, or the relief of pain.    What are Cannabinoids?  A cannabinoid is one of a class of diverse chemical compounds that acts on cannabinoid receptors in cells that alter neurotransmitter release in the brain.   113 cannabinoids have been isolated from the Cannabis plant.  Research shows the effect of cannabinoids might be modulated by aromatic compounds produced by the cannabis plant, called terpenes as well as by the other cannabinoids.  This interaction would lead to the entourage effect.    Medical Uses  Medical cannabis (or medical marijuana) refers to the use of cannabis and its constituent cannabinoids, as well as terpenes, to treat disease or improve symptoms relief.   reduce nausea and vomiting during chemotherapy  improve appetite in people with HIV/AIDS or cancer  treat chronic pain and muscle spasms (MS and other nerve related pain)  lessens tremors in Parkinson’s Disease  control seizures  reduce pain of cluster headaches in minutes  cannabinoids are under preliminary research for their potential to affect stroke  THC has been shown to kill cancer cells  CBD has been shown to stop cancer cells and prevent the spread  Many more!    Delivery Systems - Ways to Consume Medical Cannabis  Sublingual absorption  Topical  Vaporization  Suppositories  Transdermal patches  Edibles      Interesting Statistics    This statistic presents the percentage of U.S. adults who would recommend medical cannabis to their friends as of January 2017. It was found that 62 percent of respondents aged between 18 and 34 years were likely to recommend cannabis.      This statistic displays the annual number of daily doses of prescribed drugs per physician in U.S. states with and without medical cannabis law, as of 2016. According to the data, physicians in states without medical cannabis laws prescribed about 95,672 daily doses of medication annually. Compared to that, the number was significantly lower in states which had a medical cannabis law.      This graph shows the number of legal medical marijuana patients by U.S. state, per 1,000 state residents, as of May 17, 2018. The state of Colorado had the highest rate of legal medical marijuana patients per 1,000 state residents with 15.86 patients    Region: United States  Survey time period: as of May 17, 2018  Supplementary notes...  No data available for: North Dakota, Ohio, West Virginia.   * Arkansas has started issuing medical marijuana registry ID cards, but marijuana is not yet available in the state.   ** California had 5,848 registered patients in Fiscal Year 2017/2018, but registration is voluntary and most patients are not registered. If you don’t enjoy inhaling hot smoke, or are in search of the cleaner, cooler high you might consider investing in a high-quality conduction vaporizer. (I mean “cooler” as in “less hot"--the oils melt at a much lower temperature than the plant matter). It’s going to set you back around $300 but the richer flavor and the clearer high might be worth splashing out for.The Firefly 2 has been called" the iPhone of vaporizers," an easy analogy since Mark Williams, one of Firefly’s co-founders and this week’s guest, was a UI designer at Apple for most of his career. In 2000, he decided to combine his dual fascinations with technology and cannabis. With his business partner, Sasha Robinson, he engineered an easy-to-use, easy-to-clean handheld convection device that vapes both flowers and concentrates with excellent results.Side note: If you’ve been confused by the difference between conduction and convection vaporizers think of a skillet vs. an oven. Conduction (skillet) heats a metal plate that “fries” the oils and some plant matter. Convection (oven) circulates hot air around the plant matter, melting the oils only. Go for convection if you can swing it. The beauty of Firefly2 (or other handheld convection device such as The Crafty or The Mighty) is that you don’t need to be a connoisseur to use them successfully. But as Williams, a self-confessed vapor nerd, explains in this podcast, there are many nuances and surprises to designing a high-fidelity vapor experience. The traditional approach to easing chronic pain is a failing solution. Medical marijuana is proving to be a viable alternative.During Dr. Rachna Patel's time spent in the ER, she frequently ran into two medication-based issues: patients who had overdosed on pain (opioid) medications, and drug seekers who were looking for those same medications. Her goal, as a doctor, was to help people... not put them in a position where they could harm themselves.Unfortunately, the traditional approach to easing chronic pain is a failing solution. That is when Dr. Patel began her research on medical marijuana as an option and subsequently opened up her practice. Now, she is helping patients suffering from chronic pain of all sorts (fibromyalgia, back pain, arthritis, migraines, MS). Other conditions marijuana has been effective in treating include:Epilepsy. Reduces duration and frequency of seizures.Autism. Addresses anxiety.PTSD and panic attacks, particularly in veterans. These individuals no longer have to be hyper-vigilant but may still feel that way (especially in large crowds).Insomnia. Individuals fall asleep easier and stay asleep (or fall back asleep quickly). They wake up feeling refreshed and with no "hangover," which is often linked with OTC or prescription sleep aids. Methods of TreatmentDr. Patel's goal is to provide relief without patients having to smoke marijuana, suffer negative side effects, or become addicted to it. The avenues of treatment she offers include:Vaporization. Heats instead of burns, avoiding a combustion reaction. Tincture. Drops under the tongue.Edibles. Gluten-free, sugar-free, vegan options.Topical formulations. Salve, ointment. Vaginal and rectal formulations. Used for very specific purposes. The key is to create the appropriate balance of THC and CBD, avoiding a "toxic range" in which one would experience adverse side effects. With children, Dr. Patel teaches parents how to dose, as well as indicators of side effects (dizziness, heart racing, paranoia, anxiety, grogginess/fatigue).Legal ConsiderationsIn the few states where recreational use is approved, individuals are free to purchase marijuana, just as they would any other tobacco product (as long as of age). In states that approve use based on medicinal purposes, individuals need to be seen by a physician and receive a prescription. It varies from state-to-state as to how quickly you'll be approved. Is Addiction a Concern?Whether or not there is a chance for addiction often depends on your tendencies. Do you have an addictive personality to begin with? Your likelihood might increase. If used for medical reasons, patients typically only use once a day or once every few days, which reduces the risk.Marijuana MunchiesOne of the most common questions Dr. Patel receives is "will I gain weight?" If you overdo THC, you're more likely to experience the stimulation in appetite (aka "the munchies"). However, this effect can be advantageous in patients who have a loss of appetite, such as those going through chemotherapy.Listen in as Dr. Patel joins host Andrea Donsky to explain the myriad of ways medical marijuana is helping people overcome health struggles in a safe, healthy manner.

It's the first Potcast recording since launch! In a new segment I'm calling Stoner Moments I touch back on last week's potcast. We talk about methods for vaporizing flower, cartridge pens, vape juice tanks, and pen vaporizers. The Health Stone, E-Nails, and the best of all Dab Rigs. I share my new favorite use for shatter, and it's not getting me high! It is saving me a lot of money and grief though, as well as being inspired by cancer fighting technology. Concentrates get a bad rap, but I talk about some of the reasons they're invaluable, and historically are nothing to be afraid of. In the Safety, I answer some listener questions, give some tips for dealing with pull and snap wax, smoke some super giggle-inducing Dutch Treat and talk about the Nail Crown -a product I'd like to try!

Worst Case Scenario. When Rick Berman, Michael Piller, and Jeri Taylor set out to create the third live-action Star Trek spinoff they were faced with an enormous challenge. The franchise had become so weighted down by more than two decades of stories that it was difficult to find a new way to approach things, and Gene Roddenberry's no-conflict rule was proving more and more difficult for the writers. Throwing the ship to the other side of the galaxy was one way of starting over with new worlds to explore and new aliens to encounter. But in addition to this an effort was made to break the shackles of the no-conflict rule by forcing Starfleet officers to co-exist with outsiders—the rebel Maquis. It was a good idea in theory, though the success of the approach is certainly questionable. In this episode of The Ready Room we discuss the third-season Voyager episode “Worst Case Scenario” and how the Starfleet-Maquis relationship played out in reality. In news we cover Nichelle Nichols's 79th birthday, Avery Brooks and Sir Patrick Stewart confirmations for Creation's 2012 conventions, IDW's Star Trek Ongoing #4, clues about the next movie that have been hidden in the comics, and we preview two more tracks off of Five Year Mission's Year Two. Plus Greg sings in Klingon and an unexpected musical guest pops in.
