The word according to reportage was ‘ire'.  The Prime Minister of New Zealand called the Prime Minister of Australia to express his ire at the Direction 99 changes that involves crooks and reprobates being booted out of Australia and sent back to New Zealand because they're not Australians.  The key here, ire or not, is that they are New Zealanders and not Australians, and the reason they are not Australians is because we have, as Kiwis, basically unfettered access and as such, many don't get around to doing the paperwork.  If you haven't followed the Direction 99 story, I can tell you for nothing it is a mess that has sunk the reputation of the minister concerned. The only reason he hasn't been sacked is because it would give the opposition a scalp and he is the Prime Minister's mate.  But make no mistake, the damage this has done and is doing to the Government is not to be underestimated and although they have until May next year to call an election, the vast majority of modern Australian Governments don't get close and it's entirely possible a vote will be called this year.  This is the sort of issue that sinks Governments.  So look at it from their point of view. You have criminals you can boot out of your country because they are not Australians, so, why wouldn't you?  Between the boat people that arrive illegally and have since been let out of jail and the New Zealander who, instead of taking advantage of a great country like Australia and making the most of it, turns into a thug, it's a nightmare the Government doesn't need.  The answer is to change the entry laws, i.e. we need a visa to stay in Australia like other countries. The deal we have historically by way of access is unique and we are lucky to have it. The downside is some people abuse it.  A lot of people argue we should reciprocate and should do the same to them. Maybe we should, maybe we shouldn't. But either way, it doesn't solve the problem of Kiwis who break the law in Australia getting sent back here.  What we have had until now is Australia being nice. The Direction 99 was a favour to us.  The favour has backfired on the Government of the day. In politics, anywhere you look the golden rule is survival. Being nice is one thing but survival trumps it every time.  Ire or no ire, Albanese won't be helping us out again.  If you're a Kiwi and a crook you are our problem, not his. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

G'day Folks, On the latest episode of the General Knowledge Podcast Adam from the CrazzFiles.com catches up with me to discuss what's been going on in Australia over the last few weeks and more. As i'm sure everyone has seen there have been some high profile knife attacks in Sydney recently. One at a Westfield Shopping Centre in Sydney's famous Bondi area and another in a Church in Western Sydney where a Bishop was attacked mid sermon.  While there are still concerns over the legitimacy of the incidents, taking it on face value the Australian Government has wasted no time using these events as a way to promote their anti-freedom agenda.  The previously panned Misinformation Bill has had a revival due to the Australian Government manufacturing consent to get this pushed through parliament. The old adage 'Never let a good crisis go to waste' or even the playbook 'Problem - Reaction - Solution' is once again being taken by the horns and steered into play. The Digital ID Bills, the Misinformation Bill and the Criminal Code (Serious Vilification and Hate Crimes) and Other Legislation Amendment Bill which included provisions that led to up three years in jail for so-called “public acts of hate speech" are all a part of the Australian Governments plan to control the narrative from top to bottom with no opposition and the powers to lock up anyone that tries to say otherwise. So when the next scamdemic or planned event hits they have much tighter controls in place.  We also hear from a former Registered Nurse who was forced to leave her job an emergency nurse in Melbourne over the COVID vaccine mandates. Her testimony highlights the utter conflict of interests that the medical establishment and doctors have with the pharmaceutical industry. She even mentions how young adults and children are being pushed drugs and surgery to change their gender and it's basically all about profit for the industry and not about the mental care that these young people need.  I also bring to the table a recent article written by a doctor in the USA who, along with his colleagues, have seen an undeniable trend of the increase in the vaccine schedule with the increase in trandgenderism. Quite the eye-opener but the research and data behind it seems to match up. Plus the mechanisms on how this is occurring makes sense too. Put it this way, almost 100% of transgenders are on the autism spectrum. Coincidence? Please be sure to give us a 5 Star Rating and Review on Apple Podcasts and any other podcasting app you use. They were fully supported by the South Australia and the Australian Governments.  Despite the arguments back then, the Government should have moved in and shut it down, but instead, they supported Western Mining to move in and establish Olympic Dam at Roxby Downs. And they allowed shonky deals to continue WITHOUT PROPER CONSULTATION with Arabunna people and others. Since Native Title began, we have Native Title Corporations running the affairs of Finniss Springs, Stuarts creek and other places. Our old people set up these places and homelands for our people to live on, NOT for mining, and that's how it should be. All our black people from Finniss Springs are suffering because of the Government allowing mining developments.I believe there is wheeling and dealing happening as we speak.I would like the Government to hand back these places to the full Arabunna Common Law holders. And I would like upfront meetings ASAP  to discuss any inconveniences that it might cause. The old Finniss Springs and surrounding areas are too valuable, too precious, to be destroyed for mining. If necessary, we will call a full meeting with all people from all walks of life who care about the land.I have seen and witnessed my old people go to their graves worried and stressed out about their old country. I have seen the damage to the mound springs since mining began. The trees that have died.     We can see the changes, the effects of mining on our sacred lands.  It is still happening now, and it has to stop. Please take this as urgent. There are new families, new generations of our people who want Finniss Springs as their homeland. Some have never been there before. It is their right, and their heritage which cannot be denied.Contact me at Finniss Springs.Kevin Buzzacott

From just a handful of followers, by 2013 over 10,000 people (including me!) had joined up with Hello Sunday Morning to reassess our relationship with alcohol. In this episode of the Ultimate Youth Worker Podcast ‘National Principles for Child Safe Organisations' Aaron gives us an overview of the ten principles and where they came from. As youth workers our sector has always championed the rights of the child however there hasn't been a standard that we all were required to meet. The National Principles are a guiding document for all of us in how we are to work with children and young people in Australia. In 2017 the Australian Government asked the National Children's Commissioner to lead the development of National Principles for Child Safe Organisations as part of  the Child Safe Organisations project. The Australian Government also commissioned the Australian Human Rights Commission to develop practical tools to help organisations implement the National Principles. The National Principles were developed under the guidance of Community Services Ministers across Commonwealth, state and territory governments under the National Framework for Protecting Australia's Children 2009-2020. The ten National Principles respond to recommendations made by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. The National Principles aim to provide a consistent approach to developing organisational cultures of child safety and wellbeing throughout Australia. This will help to keep children and young people safe and mitigate future harm in organisational settings. The National Principles for Child Safe Organisations reflect the ten child safe standards recommended by the Royal Commission, with a broader scope that covers all forms of harm to children and young people. In June 2018, the Australian Government tabled its response to the Royal Commission's recommendations. As one element of its response, the Australian Government established the National Office for Child Safety in July 2018. As of February 2019, the National Principles were endorsed by members of the Council of Australian Governments, including the Prime Minister and State Premiers and Territory First Ministers.

And it's an ugly spectacle seeing NSW Health and Australian Border Force blaming each other. We do want to see the blame games continue but only if we end up finding out who made the decision to allow the Ruby Princess to dock in Sydney Harbour with so many infected people on board. And why. We think there's a great deal of corruption involved.Governments can rarely be trusted. Even when the public has offered them so much goodwill to solve the health and economic caused by the coronavirus virus, they are so keen to play their political games and mislead the public. Forget The Dismissal, forget Fine Cotton, the Hilton Bombing and even the Offset Alpine fire. The Ruby Princess is shaping up to be one of the biggest scandals in Australian history. And all under the noses of the NSW and Australian Governments. Sports games are not being played at the moment, but gosh, politicians are fantastic at playing the blame game. Thoughts from the 2 March 2020 Event In this episode of Plastics Revolution, we’re doing something a little bit different. Last week, host Tammy Ven Dange was at the National Plastics Summit at the Parliament House in Canberra, Australia. This event was sponsored by the Australian Government and the invite said (paraphrased) “this Summit seeks to accelerate solutions to the proliferation of plastic waste, and activate the actions agreed to by states and territories last year in the National Waste Policy Action Plan.” There were 200 people invited from various industries.  This included consumer products companies like McDonalds and Officeworks to plastics manufacturers, waste management companies, recyclers and packaging companies.  There were also a number of government officials, not-for-profits and experts from academia there as well. As far as format goes, the day was largely divided into 5 concurrent sessions around various topics which were advertised as round tables. They were held once in the morning, and again after lunch. While there, Tammy had the opportunity to randomly interview participants about solutions they were proposing, and what they thought of the event.  Before we hear what they have to say, let us clarify the separation of duties between the federal and local governments – which is often referred collectively as the COAG or the Council of Australian Governments. It is the local governments that are actually responsible for waste management and recycling services for their communities.  The federal government has national authority for legislation, taxation and budget distribution. They also have significant purchasing power for their own needs. A huge thanks to Minister Sussan Ley and the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment for inviting Tammy to the National Plastics Summit, and for also allowing us to conduct these interviews.  Also, thank you to the attendees who shared their thoughts with me for this podcast.  Sorry that we weren't able to include everyone. So, let’s hear now what some of the attendees had to say about the National Plastics Summit. You can read a partial transcript of this episode on Tammy’s blog.   Credits Hosted by Tammy Ven Dange Produced by Jonny Puskas Theme Music by Joseph McDade All Rights Reserved 2020

Hi everyone! Thanks again for tuning in to Season 2 Episode 7 of the podcast! In this episode Andy, Ethan and the General tackle a few issues. We discuss the Corona Virus and dissect what's really going on. We go down a few rabbit holes from Event 201 with ol' Billy Gates to how a Harvard Professor was arrested with ties to China. Plus we tie in how this nothing burger of a pandemic has real life implications in the form of biosecurity laws that have been passed a few years ago to allow our government force vaccinate or jail people who don't maintain quarantine at home. Next we tackle the aftermath of the Australian Bushfires and how our predictions are slowly coming true. Residents in areas specifically aligned with the CLARA plan are facing exorbitant fees and fines in order to rebuild. So-called "experts" are already being given a voice to say how Australians shouldn't be rebuilding in fire prone areas. Newsflash.... Most of Australia is fire prone!!! Ethan than takes us through his latest piece on TOTTnews.com whereby he covers the Australian Governments $200 million push for a national digital ID.    Instead of donating money to a charity that most likely won't pass on your full donation to whomever needs it, why join TOTTnews as a member and gain exclusive member only content or even roll up a fiver and throw it up the internet to me here at RealNewsAustralia.com to help pay for costs associated with bringing you this show. I am currently going deep into how technology is impacting Healthcare. As part of that I am speaking to early-stage entrepreneurs in the initial staging of funding, but as part of my research, I came across Rami Weiss who is the CEO of a fully scaled up health tech business called Healthshare, which is building innovative products that improve access to health information and health practitioners.    The conversation feels quite timely as we covered the debate over the Australian Governments design and execution of the My Health record, which has come under scrutiny from many including myself over concerns around how well client privacy will be protected.  This for me is a real double-edged sword.  On one hand, connecting patient data frees up time for practitioners and enables them to have a more holistic view of the patient, it also potentially opens up a viable opportunity for applying machine learning to look for solutions to disease.  The downside, for example, would be my podiatrist being given automatic access to completely unrelated  areas such as my sexual infection history would be a pretty sensitive one (Disclaimer I am as clean as a whistle I think!)   Thanks again to Rami for taking time to speak to me and if anybody is listening who is working in the health tech space or believes they have a solution to a problem in health, do reach out on the socials I would love to chat more.

In Episode 4, “Leadership – It’s all about the Team”, Blenheim Partners’ Gregory Robinson is delighted to talk with Roger Corbett AO, a highly respected business leader about his 50 year career in retail starting on the Grace Brothers loading dock floor and progressing to become the Chief Executive Officer of Woolworths, leaving it as the leading supermarket retailer in Australia and in the top echelon of retailers in the world.Roger shares his thoughts on the journey, punctuated with real-world experiences. He discusses his thoughts about taking risks, missing out on opportunities, having confidence in one’s ability, the importance of family and those that help you along the way.Gregory gains Roger’s views on the erosion of trust in Australian business and the Banking Royal Commission. Roger challenges the effectiveness of today’s Boards, in particular that of Chairmen and highlights concerns about the role of business as well as the ACCC and BCA in the national debate. He feels the silence of business is a genuine cause for worry.Gregory asks Roger about the transition from Chief Executive Officer to Director and in particular the lessons learned as Chairman at Fairfax during a time of tremendous technological change and the impact of digital on the newspaper. Were the Board and Executive Team able to appreciate the business opportunity and threat, and the thinking at the time?Gregory and Roger also consider the collective impact of digital technology and of cynicism in society and examine the broader picture of political leadership including Donald Trump and the United States. Roger discusses the Australian political landscape and the unrealised potential Australian Governments have presided over. He shares his disappointment in the most recent Prime Minister and current Government in what he feels was a lost opportunity at a critical point of Australia’s economic history, the lack of willingness to introduce tax reform.Just as Socrates felt that it was necessary to create a tension in the mind so that individuals could rise from the bondage of myths and half-truths to the unfettered realm of creative analysis and objective appraisal, we feltimpelled to present a podcast that keeps you informed of the real discussions happening behind closed doors and along the corridors of power.
