In this week’s Music Life, singer-songwriter and Pharrell Williams collaborator Samm Henshaw gets inspired by the thoughts of Raphael Saadiq, Denai Moore, and Moses Boyd. Raphael Saadiq is a Grammy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. He is a member of the multiplatinum group Tony! Toni! Toné!, as well as being a critically acclaimed solo artist, and has worked with the likes of D’Angelo, Kelis, Mary J Blige, Solange, Whitney Houston and John Legend. Jamaican-born, London-based singer and songwriter Denai Moore is newer on the scene, but has worked with the likes of SBTRKT and released two solo albums to date. She’s also the founder of Dee’s Table, a weekly food pop-up and supper club serving vegan Jamaican food. And Moses Boyd is one of jazz's most exciting upcoming artists. He’s a multi-award winning drummer, composer, producer and radio host, who fuses jazz, grime and electronic sounds. Led by Samm Henshaw, the group tells us what colour would best describe the music they make, which of their songs they’d want to be remembered for, and how they find the balance when they use technology to create soulful music.

We're rounding up a great year for ZoneOneRadio by presenting to you some of the very best bits of content from all our shows. #LondonArts talked to Chic legend Nile Rodgers following his now legendary performance at Glastonbury. Jenny Runacre reminisces with him about London in the 70s and the punk scene. #LondonGigGuide beat Jools Holland to a live performance from singer songwriter Denai Moore; Tom talks to her about her career. James Luxford's #LondonFilmFestival series brought us a very early review of Gravity, the space epic that is destined to win a clutch of Oscar's next year. #IntoTheMix had a great year, playing an ecletic blend of remixes aswell as speaking to major players on the scene, including this interview with legendary producer Herve. There's comedy from the #WTFJustHappened show and a quote from #RichieTheKidReggae And as if all that wasn't enough, we've crammed in a selection of the best tunes from our playlist in 2013, including rock from the Arctic Monkeys, The Pixies and Franz Ferdinand, hip-hop from Dizzee Rascal and Scroobious Pip and dance from Daft Punk and Eagles For Hands. www.LondonGigGuide.co.uk LondonGigGuide is a no nonsense, no bullshit guide to London gigs. In this weeks show we chat to Islandic Pop Queen Hafdis, Katie J White plays for us live in the studio and we play music from The Mono LPs, Denai Moore and Fred's House. Our weekly radio show on ZoneOneRadio is packed with tracks from bands you can see play live in London in the coming week. We play every kind of music – it just has to be good. The result is a mix of indie, folk, funk, swing, ska, punk, pop and anything else that takes our fancy that week. We don’t play big acts. We want you to hear bands before they get on Radio 1, before they get over produced by their record label, when you can still go and see them play live for a fiver. You can find details of all the gigs mentioned and hear the tracks again by going to the website www.londongigguide.co.uk www.facebook.com/thelondongigguide www.twitter.com/londongigguide
